I had a really awful experience. I booked and prepaid for the car wash online, but when I arrived at my allotted time I was told I would have a “very long wait” as there were ten cars ahead of me. As I was unable to wait several hours I said no problem I’ll come back at a quieter time. But when I asked for a refund the attendant was so rude and said I would have to call head office for it. When I asked for their number he first told me to google it and then looked it up on his phone and childishly flashed the phone at me but too fast to see the number. Eventually he did give it to me, but when I rang the number they answered speaking Hindi and before I could even explain the problem they hung up and then after that the number didn’t answer. I have since googled the head office number and that is not the one he gave me. So I had no choice but to leave my car there or be out of pocket $55. So I did leave my car there, reluctantly. As it happens it didn’t take long at all and in 50minutes I got a text to come and get my car. My car was cleaned well and I was happy with it so I tried to catch the eye of the rude attendant to say thank you but he gave me such a scathing look I just got in my car and drove away. Not ten minutes later a red warning flashed on my car that the tyres air was low. Never happened before and my car is regularly serviced. I pulled over and saw that air had been let out of my passenger side tyre. I filled the tyre and so far it is ok, so I assume hopefully that it was just manually let out and not punctured with anything. I can honestly say I will never go to this car wash again.

I put my car in at 10am for a platinum wash as well as a mag wheel detail and polish. I was told to come back between 11:15 and 11:30 so I went back at 11:15 and it wasn’t ready yet and then back at 11:35 and got told to wait 2 minutes which was fine, I didn’t mind waiting. From a distance the car looked okay but as I got closer I realised there was a scratch on my left mirror, the windows weren’t washed properly, the drivers mat wasn’t vacuumed, the boot handle hadn’t been cleaned, the front of the car hadn’t been washed, and overall they had done a poor job. When I asked what had happened to my mirror I was told that it is scratched and I said yes I can see that what happened, to which they said I don’t know it must have already been there. I know for a fact that it was not there before, I told them this and they just shrugged and told me they couldn’t do anything. It is very disappointing as it is still a brand new car and I take care of it, I would not recommend going to this place as they simply do not care. That is $82 very poorly spent.

This was daylight robbery clean & simple. The one & only reason I took my car to get cleaned here was because my kid got carsick and threw up in the back seat before we could get the car stopped. I turned up to the car wash and said 'My kid threw up in the back seat, the outside can be a basic clean, but I need the inside cleaned really well.' I was advised that was no problem, told to pay at pick up amd wasn't advised of a price. Over two hours later I go to pick up my car and was advised they didnt realise there was vomit in the car, they hadn't cleaned it and would be an extra $150 if I wanted it cleaned. Obviously I was a little irate as I never would have left my car there if the vomit wasn't being cleaned up as that was the ONLY reason I took it to the car wash in the first place. So not only was the service not provided as promised additional damage was caused to my vehicle - new scratches on the doors. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE!! It is a complete rip off, if I could give a negative rating I would.

Had to get our large 4WD cleaned urgently as due to the weather, wind in particular, prevented us from doing it at home. It was 4pm on the Friday afternoon. This did not deter Star Car Wash Richmond from taking on this job. I had half expected them not to be able to take on this job. An hour later, we turned back up to find our car glistening. Considering the time constraints, there were only a couple of insects left on the driving lights. There was also some water trapped in the driver's side mirror which blew out onto the side of the car, but this was easily cleaned off when we got home. As mentioned above, late Friday afternoon, 1 hour to clean a large car, I think they achieved a great result. I would gladly recommend Star Car Wash to look after and clean your car.

I never leave bad reviews but booked my car In for the star polish which includes a seat vacuum, boot vacuum, door and boot jams wiped and when I got home I found crumbs on my back seat, (it was not vacuumed) my boot wasn’t vacuumed at all and my floor mats were poorly vacuumed. my boot jam was dirty and because it wasn’t wiped or cleaned it dripped dirty water all over the back of my car by the time I got home. I wouldn’t normally complain but it’s disappointing to pay $95 to get your car cleaned and then get home and have to re clean spots. To be fair management was polite and when I called they offered for me to come back and get it cleaned again. Still I will be cleaning my own car from now on

Absolute rip off. Put my car in for an exterior wash. Was told to come back in 45 mins. When I returned I could see even from a distance that there were still marks on the car. I pointed them out and was told of the exterior clean doesn’t cover that, I would need the clay buff for $185 to get the car to be actually clean! No one mentioned this when I dropped the car off. Windscreen and back window were both left smeared and still dirty. Marks on the car I was able to run off with just my finger were still on the car. This isn’t a business, it’s a scam - would give 0 stars if I could. Avoid this place at all costs!

I highly recommend these guys, I got an interior detail done and was amazed at how good it came up!! The car i left with them was in horrible condition it was dusty grimey and you could see it had better days.... the car i picked up was in immaculate condition not a spec of dust, windows so clean i first wondered if they had just removed it. Im not even sure it was the same car I left with the guys, as the difference was night and day. Well that's enough reviewing, i'm off to check my vin number just to sure its the same car.

Very impressed. I have been to a few car wash places and have always felt they didn’t do a very good job. This time however, I took a very dirty car covered in dog fur and I was so happy with the outcome afterwards, you couldn’t even tell a dog was ever in this car! Haha I was recommended to get a full detail to get it looking even better which I will do next time, but honestly I was so pleasantly surprised with how much better my car looked after just a Platinum Wash! Highly recommend these guys

Cannot recommend these guys enough. We brought in our car which hadn’t been vacuumed in an embarrassingly long time, and was in desperate need of a wash after having to park under trees for the last few months. We got the platinum clean and for $62 our car looks brand new. We have a toddler who eats in the car and is leaves a trail of sand wherever he goes, yet our car looks absolutely brilliant.

Having a white car in the Hawkesbury area means that the dirt, grime and dust are a never ending battle. Star Wash made my 8 month old car look brand new inside and out and they completely buffed out where a red car had rubbed me. Inside looks immaculate. I won't use another service ever - it will always be Richmond Star Wash and the prices can't be beat anywhere else in Sydney.

A ‘50m minute wash and interior detail apparently takes less than half an hour? And get a call half way through saying they locked my keys in my car. After finally sorting that out as they were quick to blame me for the keys getting locked in the car I drove off only to notice 2 pre exisiting bird poos still dried not even touched on the window. Don’t waste your money.

My husband had the star polish done today and it was very poorly done. Quick vacuum, door and door trims not cleaned properly, side mirrors don't look like they have been done at all. Dash looks like its had a quick wipe but no conditioning. Basically the quality of this wash was not better or more detailed than the cheaper $55 one I had done there a few weeks ago.

After being a regular customer at a different location - and having had my car turned away by that location as it was too dusty! (We live on a farm at the end of a dirt road) I tentatively approached the staff at Richmond. They were professional, did a great job of my very new but dusty 4WD. They were polite, courteous and will now be my new car detailing stop

Paid for a wash, vacuum and windows cleaned,and interior dusted and wiped. The $55 service. Although the car was better than when I left it, there was still dirt and dust on parts of the interior and sections of the carpet that looked as though they vacuumed in the dark. There were still spots on the exterior that should of washed off.

We have use this service many times and were really happy. Today was the opposite. Not only demanding higher prices but demanding pay before inspection. The job was appalling! I am extremely upset. I could have cleaned the interior myself and would have achieved a better result. Disgraceful. Maybe new people?.....

The gentleman that took my car for me was polite and well spoken.. I have no complaints of the interactions I had with the face to face customer service however super disappointed when I paid $69 for there to still be mud/gunk under the bonnet protector , mud/bird poo on my tonneau, wheel aches to still be dirty…

Polish looks good but that's all wheels not done still dirty interior well quick vac that's all no dash wipe nothing else done inside and vac Was a poor job complete waste of $95 would never go back feel ripped off complete waste of time not recommended and I'm not the type to leave bad reviews just disappointing

Not worth any money. I got the premium wash interior and exterior. Interior was ok could have been better though. But the exterior I'm very unhappy about. Still alot of dirty marks that I can rub of with a damp cloth. The edge of windows still dirty. Dirty water marks everywhere Highly not recommended

Overall the car was pretty clean when I received it back after a wash. After driving away I noticed that the dash was not cleaned properly and the missed a spot vacuuming. I took the car back and the cleaned what they missed. I may look elsewhere next time I need the car washed.

The guy didn’t try and rip me, which I appreciated. I tried to get my car washed at penrith and the guy tried to charge me $170 for a wash outside and clean inside and I was like hell no. Went to Richmond and the guy said $55 and I said ok, and the car was clean and I was happy

I get my car polished every three months and this has been the best and easiest. The platinum service is fantastic From the booking process to the checkin nothing could have been easier. The job was finished within 2 hours and the car hasn’t looked better

Not impressed twice I've taken my car there in Richmond and twice I've returned it as they didn't vacuum properly inside the car. Outside was great very professional. Mainly they missed down the sides of the seats and between the console

Just picked my car up after a star wash. The result was incredible. It was literally cleaner and shinier than when i picked it up brand new from the dealership. I couldnt believe it. The tyres particularly were pristine. Amazing service

Rubbish service payed $57 for in and out wash after a day at the beach and they did not even vaccum the floors properly suggesting that I needed to get a carpet detail went home and vacuumed all the sand myself lol don’t go here

Last week was told 2 hrs came back 15 mins earlier and not even touched. Tried again this week and pointed out that I could run marks off with my finger, came home and cleaned marks off with a cloth. Not using them again

The guys here always do a great job of cleaning my car….. it looks like brand new every time ….. can sometimes take a little longer than a coffee break but if you have shopping to do it is perfect timing.
