DON'T GO HERE Took my car for a general wash, but the guy said it was dirty and needs the polish option as well for $60. Whatever, I didn't want to argue. When I got my car back, I saw that there was a small dent and chip on the door. I know for certain that it wasn't there before the wash, since the car is only 2 weeks old and the chip and dent is right next to the driver side door handle - somewhere I have to look at every time I go in the car to drive. Told the guy about the scratch and dent, texted him photos and he said they would review and get back to me. Didn't hear anything back so I followed up and they said they would get back to me again. Then nothing again and so I follow up again and this went on 4-5 times until I got a call back. The guy said that he checked the cameras and can confirm that no other car hit my car...well of course you aren't going to see another car hit mine, as I indicated to him, the damage is a small chip and dent from something like a hand tool or something small banging against it - and that a camera isn't going to necessarily pick up the damage that was caused if it happened while they were doing the cleaning. But no accountability or acknowledgement from them for the damage and so all I can do now is write this review to warn others. And if you read other reviews here, you will see similar issues coming up - I see someone else who also had paint on their door chipped. ADDITIONAL NOTE 1 - I can see the owner replied and said to submit feedback and they will investigate - I have submitted that now on Oct 31 2023. The original post and damage happened on Oct 3 2023. I will see if they actually actually acknowledge the damage. ADDITIONAL NOTE 2 - The owner replied saying to submit feedback - and I did, and it is now Nov 15 2023 and I haven't heard a peep from them.

Went to this car wash seeking a wash which was advertised as $159 both online and on the wall of this car wash and yet when I went to request it from one of the staff there they attempted to charge me $200 (noting it would take 1.5 hours also). After I pointed out that the cost advertised on the wall and online was $159 the staff member offered to do it for $180, claiming that the $159 is the starting price although online it clearly states that this is the price for a Sedan (I note my vehicle is a hatchback). The staff member refused look at the pricing online which I had pulled up on my phone for his reference however when I eventually made it clear that I would be going elsewhere he reluctantly offered to do it for $159 as a 'one off'. Needless to say I did not consider this offer, as I am not going to trust someone who has blatantly tried to rob me with my car. Ended up taking my car to Ashlar Hand Car Wash at Blacktown which is only about 15 minutes down the road and they did a great job for me and at had it done within 45 minutes which makes up for the travel time AND they only charged $135 for the same type of wash (both advertised and in reality). Disappointing as I thought I had previously had good experiences with Star Car Wash franchises, however I have just come to realise that the car wash I was thinking of was the Crystal Car Wash at Northbridge - so that is my mistake. On that note, I certainly would not recommend Star Car Wash at The Ponds or any Star Car Wash for that matter and definitely will not return. Take your car up the road to Ashlar and you will have no regrets.

Do not get your car washed here! The employees do not care about the car or the service they provide. It was as though the car was untouched when I went to pick it up, they gave it a very surface level clean and they charged me significantly more than another Star Wash had quoted - I only went with them because I was desperate and needed the car cleaned that day. The team at the Ponds did the bare minimum and I could still see stains after I left, I went back and they claimed to give it another clean but there was no difference. I felt extremely uneasy because I didn't know what they had missed - I would only find out later when I had friends or family members get in the car and point it out. I felt like telling them I wasn't happy with the service was absolutely useless as they made no effort to fix their mistake. Someone had gotten sick in my car and I could still smell the vomit very clearly afterwards. Another example, there was a small spider web in the crack of my door, they missed that too. I paid $150 for a full detail and it was an absolute waste of money. I had to go back to the Rouse Hill Star Wash the next day to get it cleaned again because the team at the Ponds did not seem to care. The team at Rouse Hill was amazing and once I saw the quality of the work the Rouse Hill team did, I realised how poor the work at The Ponds was. The team is useless and for your own good, don't waste your money here.

Spent $155 for interior and exterior clean and polish… exterior looked ok polished tyres n all that but did notice a few areas that still had dirt on it around the badge and the rear bumper just lacked attention to detail… Interior was poor to say the least especially after spending $155… yes the windows got a good clean and the doors a quick polish but the dash mat wasn’t touched 2mins with the vacuum would have been great, and the leather interior had a few dust marks on it honestly 5 mins with a damp cloth would clean it I’ve done it myself many times but I thought I’d spend some hard earned cash and get it professionally cleaned.. after I receive a text saying “we hope you enjoy that new car feeling” and I thought that was kind of a joke as the car only 2 months old was looking far from new! So guys at star carwash, if you want to take anything away from this review please let it be constructive criticism…. Business last longer when they go that extra mile for the client/shopper, an extra 5-10mins of time spent on my car would have made a huge difference and avoided this review! Stop cutting corners, it may look good from far but far from good! Spend that extra 5-10 mins… go that extra mile.. it’s your customers that’s keeping your business open!

Firstly booked this online and thought I would get my car back within an 1.5 hours at least as it was mid day on a week day. Dropped the car off at 1pm and it wasn’t ready until nearly 4pm. I booked a Star Polish plus Leather seat clean for the back of the car. I asked the attendant on drop off to focus on the left hand side rear seat as my child was sick in the back. When I picked up the car the back seat floor was still dirty. The manager told me I booked the wrong clean and should’ve booked a carpet clean, then told me that they could fix it however normally it’s $88 for the back, I asked if he could make it cheaper as it was only 1 side of the car. He told me he could do it for $30. When I picked up the car 30 mins later he wasn’t there and his team tried to charge me $88. I understand I booked the wrong clean, however your team need to approach this differently and they should’ve informed me at the start of the clean that it needed a carpet clean. You are the professionals. I would recommend if you go here take a man with you. They don’t seem to respond well to women questioning their work.

DO NOT GET YOUR CAR WASHED HERE. Attached are photos of what my car looked like AFTER my $95 interior and exterior clean. Obviously hasn’t been touched. I called the manager and he told me to come back the following day at lunchtime. Took time out of my work day to help them fix their mistake, and when I got there, the place was totally closed, even though it said on Google it was open. The manager said they had had to close for ‘urgent repairs due to the rain’ and that I could go to another location (more time out of my work day) or that he would give me a free wax and polish at my next service - not good enough. I started asking for a 50% refund given the interior was basically untouched however he has continued to refuse and is now not replying to my texts or calls. Such a rip off. He also lied and said that his staff said they didn’t do the interior console because it was “full of coins” (???) I don’t use cash and there were absolutely no coins in there, I am 100% certain of that. Currently speaking with Centre Management at The Ponds and Star Car Wash Head Office. GO ELSEWHERE!

I have taken my car here on 7-8 occasions as it’s very close to my house. Often I am in a rush and because they are located underground you can not see the spots they have missed or the sub par job they do on the windows but I have always given them the benefit of the doubt. Today I went to pick up my car and noticed so many parts that still had dirt on it and showed them and said I expect them to be cleaned properly when I pay $50 for a wash. I said I would be back in half an hour and when I got back noticed they had only just wiped those spots with a wet cloth.. Waited to come home and take photos of just a few of the spots mind you I had shown them these spots and gave them a chance to clean it up.. I have also attached a photo of the cloth I used to clean those bits myself very quickly so everyone can see how much dirt and grime they leave on the car when washing it. I won’t even go back to use my free car wash points I’ve accumulated after todays experience and would highly recommend that others don’t use these guys either

I asked for the back row carpet to be vacuumed and shampooed and the passenger door to be cleaned following a child vomit incident while I took the child to the doctor. As you can see from the photos, all they did was a quick vacuum of the central area of the carpet without even going into the corners. When I got home the door pocket was still full of dirt and the door hadn't even been wiped with a damp cloth. I got a reduced price of $50 for just doing the back row. That was down from $100 that it would have cost to shampoo the whole car. But considering they only half completed 1/6th of the car, that's an extremely high price. Had they done the back row properly I would have been satisfied with the price. I would recommend stay far away from this company. They are only interested in taking your money, and couldn't care about customer satisfaction. The car still smells of vomit. I did complete the feedback before completing this review.

Update Dec 2023: unfortunately the service level here is slipping badly. Every time I turn up they try to upsell services that I don’t need, they are clearly not happy when you say no. I ended up feeling my business is not worth their while. I went home and washed and vacuumed the car myself! Maybe it’s time for some decent competition in the area! My review over a year ago: I am a regular customer at Star car wash at The Ponds. I find their service is always great and value for money. The one time I was not completely happy, they were very apologetic and offered me a discount on my next visit. I firmly believe these guys provide excellent customer service and I love the convenience of having them so close to home Highly recommended.

These guys never listen to what you want and frequently miss things that should be done. Examples are dust in the door jam and washing underneath the bull bar. They also advised that the chrome bull bar has dull spotting due to an acid wash not rinsed promptly. They are the only ones who have washed this car and they took no responsibility. I inquired about the price of a wax for my next wash and they go ahead and do the wax for this wash. Could be a language barrier but basically they don't listen. Mostly the car is done well but frequently they miss things and they remove things from the car like sun shade and don't put it back. Poor customer service. I will not be taking my car back.

I'm sorry but I must say that after I had my car 'washed' here I had to go home and wash it again. Not happy. Very very poor. I’m a realistic sort of guy so I’m being level headed here. Apart from the car not being washed properly there was a stubborn mark on it that I asked to have removed. The worker there came over to try and remove it with a methylated base product that couldn't get the mark off. The worker insisted that it was the paint. It only needed water and soap that I had removed very easily when I got home. Please train your staff the difference between a dry chemical solution to a water base solution for the benefit of your companies future.

The service itself was done well enough (premium wash) although some parts were missed like the tires and front of the car. My main complaint is that the customer service of the ponds star car wash was severely lacking. Upon arrival, I was not greeted or received in a friendly manner. My questions regarding the service were answered abruptly and overall I did not have a very good experience with who I presume to be the manager. I can see others have given this car wash a bad review and I should have checked before I gave them my business. I would not return here because of this, I can get the same standard of wash with better customer service elsewhere.

Paid $100 for a 25 min wash and my interior was full of dust. Obviously no interior work bar a rough wipe down. Biggest rip off of a car wash I have ever had. A guy comes to my work for half the price and by far a better job....and he is friendly!!!!!! Will never ever be back. You have my number if you have a problem too. Obviously because you spammed the crap out of me without my permission. You took my number to let me know when you were finished, not to spam me. Disgusted obviously

Worst car wash ever. DO NOT WASH YOUR CAR HERE. I paid $105 for the detailed wash and polish and I got a big paint ripped off the car. And worst thing is the owner Sam he finds some or the other excuse to get out of his responsibilities. They were responsible for the paint peel off and now they dont take responsibility. I gave them $105 and now shelling out more money from my pocket for the paintwork. If you like your car, please dont wash it here. Get them out of business.

I booked online for “Platinum” Car Wash. When I dropped off my car, I was told that I will have to upgrade to “Polish” ($40 + extra) because my car is too muddy!! I only drive my car for everyday use and it was not muddy. Anyway I have agreed to pay since my car needs to be washed and couldn't be bothered arguing but I will not come back. I sugget people to clean the car first before using their service!

Parked the car and spoke to the guy wanting a Star Platinum wash which is 65$ for SUV. He opened a door and looked at some sand and decided it's going to be 90$. It wasn't muddy or soiled. What's the point coming to a car wash if I have to pay 25+ on top of the normal charge. Poor form. Not coming here again. I don't have time to do a vacuum myself before doing a car wash to pay normal charges.

I booked car wash with polish for my husband and came back with big chip ( person said because of machine use chip size increases) interior was still dirty ( he said I tried but can’t remove it ) which is I removed just with one wipe. Wastage of money, not professional, not honest, Outside still dirty not polished . I will suggest just find any other decent place or wash at home .

Absolute waste of time and a lot of money going to this car wash, save yourself the effort and go elsewhere! Little to no care was shown on our vehicle, with me still being able to swipe dust from the car doors after the “service”. Complaint was sent but no response received. So disappointing and will be ensuring none of my family or friends trust star car wash in the future.

I’ve given these guys a few chances to fix their work but have finally given up. $110 clean, and the car had numerous areas not clean or not at all, even after taking it back to be fixed. The main problem is their location in the car park as it doesn’t have adequate lighting, which allows them to do a poor job as you’re unable to see their work properly on pick up

Got a platinum wash done on my vehicle by star wash the ponds. Still bit of mud near the tyres. Water/ dust/ mud marks left on doors and not wiped properly. Only noticed this after coming home as the wash was done inside a supermarket car park... definitely not the best car wash ( as they claim on receipt) by any means... mediocre job done.. .. disappointed.

I had booked a Platinum wash online, which is supposed to be a "premium" service. They took a look at the car, said there's bird droppings and I'll need to upgrade to a $90 wash instead. Incidentally, it was tree sap, which I was able to scratch off very easily. So basically, I'll save a lot of money by going to an $25 automatic wash, followed by a vacuum.

Don’t bother with this place - after paying for a full in/out clean I ended up taking out the car mats myself and having to dust them off in front of the staff. The thing that works in their favour is the dim lighting where they are - once you come outside you realise just how poorly serviced the car is. Only go there if you like paying money for nothing.

I opted for their $105.00 Star Polish service (paid $90 after online discount). They finished the whole thing in less than 30 minutes. Cheap spray polish and wipe done in a hurry. I could not find any difference between this service and a regular 20$ car wash. I asked the guy and he said that all they can do. Waste of money and would not recommend.

Had to fight with the guy in charge when I dropped the car off and picked it up, as he tried to charge me $100 instead of $90 as my car was apparently a SUV not a sedan. I drive a Ford Focus. I then had to bring down my rego paper just to “prove” my car is a sedan. They do an average job of cleaning and are very rude. Wouldn’t recommend to anyone.

My experience with this car wash was really bad. I picked my car after the wash and the next day realised my brand new Apple charger was missing. Upon contacting them multiple times I was either hung up on or told the manger will call me but it just never happens. Please be careful with your belongings if you do decide to use this car wash!

The platinum car wash done at this car wash was great. Exceeded expectations. The guys were patient to listen to my requirements and cleaned the car so good. My partner was also excited to see the car as if it but rolled outta showroom. They also charged me reasonably. Good job guys. I would strongly recommend them.

Star Car Wash were highly professional and up to task. It felt as if I had a brand new car with the job they have done. Mind you, I only picked the basic servicing i.e. interior vaccuming and exterior cleaning. They were very polite, fully organized and completed the job within the time frame. Highly recommended

Picked up the car and it looked good in the under cover car park but when I got home and had.a first glance it looked awefull still dirty. After going around the car I had to give a wipe over with a damp chamois which removed the brown marks. For $60 I expected a lot better job, one very disappointed customer.

The car was cleaned ok. Not completely satisfied as some areas were missed, especially on tyre rim which could have been cleaned properly with a pressure hose. Feels like the job was rushed even though I left the car with them literally all day. Definitely think improvements are needed to retain customers.

Worst car wash ever possible, water mark all over, 55$ for car wash, i have to re do the wiping and cleaning everytime after cleaning service. Even doesn't vacuum inside. Wheel rims have all sorts of dust, windscreen water marks everywhere ..Please avoid this place. Unfortunately no 0 available for review.

Cleaning was nicely done and well in time. I’d give 4.5 stars for cleaning, staff humbleness. Deducting .5 for leaving few water residuals at few places. Perhaps it was not dried out throughout. Will definitely visit again in the hope to that it converts to 5 star next time.

Have always taken my car here for a clean and my car is now 9 years old. Happy with the outcome and service. Convenient as I get to do the grocery shopping, eat a meal or see the doctor and by the time I get back my car is lovely and clean

Went there to get my bike washed. I asked if they knew how to handle a motorbike and they said yes. Came back 30 mins later to damage done to my motorbike and they have yet to call me back regarding a reimbursement. Not happy with it.

I have been getting my car washed for some years at ponds regularly but today it was bad. Waste of money $60 not vacuumed properly and car mats and also exterior was not clean enough.but he did deliver on time but poor quality.

Very poor quality work done on my Koleos! My leather seats were still stained with baby formula, had to ask for a cloth to clean them myself… I could still see stains from dead bugs on the body. Definitely not worth the $95!

Twice visited, both times car left unclean. Last visit, waited 10 minutes more as they re-cleaned the car. Took photos and told them they lost a customer and any business from people I know living in the area. One job......

Not happy with service. Asked for internal vacuum and wipe inside seats etc. Did not vacuum properly seats were still dusty. Dirt was in stiches . Wipe did not used . But full money charged. Not recommend.

Always get my car cleaned from the interior and exterior, always good and fast service. Although at times I think it’s done in a hurry and some things are left behind but nothing major, happy with it!

Asked for a full car detail and it looked brand new when they were finished. They did an amazing job and I was extremely happy with it. Definitely would recommend.

Expect to be charged more for things like any bug marks on the car, dust in the door seals ect.. seems to me they only want to clean cars that are already clean.

Got the 55 dollar wash and clean. Many spots missed on my rims and smudges left. The inside clean was good enough. But overall would recommend doing it yourself

The best place for a car wash! My car was full of pug hair and dirty with dust and bird poop! They did a marvellous job inside and out I’m so happy!

I won't recommend. They hadn't done a good job after paying $140. They have sprayed and wiped on top of dust. Had to go again to get it done.
