Absolutely appalling company! I arrived at 10:15 and was told my car would take 2 hours, I arrived a little later after 12:15 to give extra time. When I got there, no one was there and my car wasn't in the parking finished. I waited overall an EXTRA 1.5hours, others were waiting with me and got there cars before me even though I had been waiting longer than them... This was a huge inconvenience as I was late to picking up my daughter and returning the rental vehicle I was getting clean, this incurred a fee that I had to pay due to their lack of service. When I asked for a discount the "boss" abused me and almost refused to give my car back. Police were almost called due to the abuse I was receiving. They ended up bringing my car up and the gentleman driving it back old me to just go without payment. The money isn't the point, it's the lack of communication, customer service and compassion. I will note the man that brought my car to me was accommodating and I don't give him any blame to the situation. Overall I DO NOT recommend this car wash service.

Went in for car wash and vacuum. Car wash was much lower standard than previous washes here. New manager and staff maybe, as guy in red shirt started smoking in corner visible to all customers driving past. Came back to a car with smear marks on the exterior and parts of car that hasn’t been cleaned. This is the last time I’ll be washing my car here. On top of that, it appears they went for a joy ride in my car and kept their cultural pop music playing when I entered the vehicle. I have vehicle history proof too. If you are entrusted with someone else’s vehicle you’d think you’d treat it with respect and not have a Ferris Bueller’s day out with it. Check my history, I rarely leave 1 star reviews as I try to support local businesses, however, on this occasion, it is hard to support a business that doesn’t reciprocate and support you. Good bye Star Carwash. Will try to find a competitor to support until a new manager/leasee arrives.

I have used them for some years for a wash & vacuum and found them OK. Yesterday I paid $319 for a full detail, and was extremely disappointed. On pickup I had to request a re-vacuum of the rear section of my Escape. When I got home and could see it in daylight one of the wheel hubs was still dirty (I cleaned that) there was still a mark on the passengers seat (I sponged it out) there was still dust around the gear shift (used a micro fibre duster for that) there were still mud splashes along the lower section of the drivers side (both doors) so I washed that. Their sign says to check your car before you leave but the lighting is extremely poor so I couldn’t see these things until I got it home into daylight. Suggest you avoid them or take a good torch to inspect your vehicle before you drive it away. Definitely very unhappy with this and won’t be getting a vehicle detailed there again.

I asked for the vehicle to be cleaned exterior and interior. I was told that would REQUIRE a polish and would cost $130 for my little polo. Sign board indicates platinum wash, exterior and interior is $55. Spent 10 minutes having to argue that I didn't want the polish at almost triple the price, the clean/wash I asked for would be fine. Was told the job would be sub par without polish. Was told it would take 2 hours and staff member actually crossed a carpark and got annoyed at me when I had completed shopping and came up to wait silently, without hassling or even announcing I was waiting after 1.5 hours. If you don't want people to mind their own business and wait, don't have a "waiting area" with lounge chairs. Also maybe don't tell people unless they pay triple you're not going to bother cleaning it the best. Poor form, won't use again.

AVOID THEM! Terrible experience twice For the first time we had to wait with my son for an extra 1.5hrs however they did a good job except a little scratch on the side which we’ve noticed only when we are back home. This time today it was an absolutely terrible experience, it’s not just the fact that we had to wait for an extra 40 min with my young kids but they damaged the car paint with the high pressure cleaning. The recommended pressure is below 1900 PSI otherwise the body of the car can be damaged. We are going to take a legal action again them, let me know if anyone else has experienced the same thing with this car star wash business. Also, their manager Raj was very rude to me so I definitely DO NOT recommend to get you car washed there if you don’t want to get your car back damaged.

I took my Hyundai to Star Car Wash at Hornsby Westfield for a comprehensive clean. The car had been unregistered and unloved for a number of years and had remained kerbside during that time. Newly registered, I was intent on returning the car to as close to it's former glory as possible. Though somewhat sceptical I must admit to being ultra impressed with the outcome. The team at Star Car Wash did an absolutely fantastic job in rejuvenating the car. Immaculately cleaned throughout, I cannot recall the vehicle ever looking as good. The team were professional and intent on doing a good job and they certainly delivered on that. I highly recommend entrusting your next car wash and overall clean to the team at Star Car Wash, Westfield Hornsby.

Heaps of large areas were missed after I paid top price for a “full detailing”. I had to spent 40 min on site to point out all the missed areas I found (windows, front panel, seats, etc) . Heaps of water were end up in my sound system too and they said it is normal. I am not sure if those electronic parts have been damaged. Attached photos are those areas I still missed and found after I got home- roof and side door (I can tell these areas were not even wiped, not mention the polish part which a full detail should cover). My feeling is that this is worse than the most basic vacuum and wipe service you can expect from any car wash company. Very disappointed.

Two times I’ve attempted to use these guys and the first time the job they did was so poor, the interior was still covered in dust. Average vacuum job, average customer service. The second time we arrive within an hour of them opening and they said the car would be finished in an hour. Over an hour later I’ve come back and they haven’t even started the car and other cars I front of mine had finished. I don’t recommend these people not even for a basic wash. They have no idea how to run an operation and zero customer service. There’s another car wash in the ground floor of the Westfield’s you’re better off using them.

Have been getting our car washed here for a few years now. We don't do it regularly. Probably only every 8-12 weeks (our car does not get that dirty), but its easy to drop off with them, go do some shopping or grab a coffee while you wait. We have never been disappointed with the outcome. Comes back looking like a new car each time. I know they are just doing their job when they offer the upsell, so this would be the only negative thing I would say we experience - being offered a discount polish when we dont want it, but like we said, we are never disappointed with the clean we get. Would recommend for sure.

Been using their services for a number of years now, and its always my preferred place to go for a service. The team has great attention to detail and ensures your car looks brand-new after every wash. Considering the facility is located within Westfield there are times that they get super busy (which we all acknowledge will be the case especially Saturdays), so allowing an hour or two is ideal - but we found it very convenient to do all your shopping. I would highly recommend Raj and his team at Star Car Wash Hornsby to anyone looking for a high quality car-wash and detailing service in and around Hornsby.

Highly recommend star car wash Hornsby, their work is amazing and we will definitely be getting our cars washed/cleaned here moving forward. Recently had one of our cars detailed as there was quite a lot of dog fur and dirt from our dog and truthfully I was not confident that the dog fur and stains could be cleaned out completely, however when I got the car back it looked brand new!!! Very impressed with their work and the customer service was also 10/10 which I really appreciated! Unfortunately I did not take before/after pics due to my lack of confidence but will do at the next clean.

Watch out when you point out shabby work of missed cleaning the Manager Raj is very rude. Also friends go there and they charge less for larger SUV than mine. So if they charge you $65 for inside vacuum and wash including windows as I was, mention that you know that they pick and choose price. My friend pays $60 for same service. Hit and miss. Last time they missed two windows and you can’t tell until outside in sun. This time dirty marks not removed from black door surround. It used to be good. They’ve lost their quality of service.

Raj and his team do an awesome job with my car every time and are also really friendly. I was super impressed that after cleaning the exterior of my car recently (that had been saturated in gum tree sap) that Raj said he wasn't completely happy with the removal of the sap (as it really needed a second scrubbing). He told me to bring it back during the week at any time and he would clean it again free of charge. Super awesome service. My car looked amazing afterwards. Thanks Raj!

1 1/2 hours for a basic wash? I'd used their car wash service a few times before with no problems. But not this week. On Monday the boss said a basic car wash would take 45 min. Since I was in a hurry I left and returned Wednesday morning first thing so as to be the first car in line to be washed. This time the "boss" said it'd take 1hour 30minutes!!! For a basic car wash and vacuum???!!! There were no other customers. Just me. Zero points if this was possible. I won't be back.

I put my car in for a detail on Sunday 27 August at 9.45 am. It was returned to me at 11.15 am with a large scrape and dent down the passenger side doors. After no less than 10 calls to Raj, who manages this site, and repeated promises to check the cameras and confirm responsibility for the scrape, I have heard absolutely nothing. This is appalling conduct from an Westfield tenancy and I have accordingly escalated this matter to them. I DO NOT recommend this car wash.

First off they asked for a time and was 30mins beyond the time they said they would finish. There were dirty spots that weren't picked up inside the car. The tyres still had oily black tar residue that wasn't completely cleaned. Other providers would've done a better job. The car was nicely polished which the only done correctly. Would I suggest to use the service. Absolutely not. Poor service in comparison to many others that do a great job.

Good services by very attentive staff. They are willing to help, so let them know what you like. Will definitely visit again. Edited The first visit was great as I mentioned above. However the following few visits was not good. Not sure it's depending on staff who worked on the day, but their services seem not consistent. I would go back if I can find out the staff who was really helpful.

Awful and dangerous experience don’t use. Picked up car and saw dirt and sand all over it and it was filthy! The guy mumbled and jumped in my car (without asking) and drove off with my 8 year old in the back seat not belted in. Luckily it was just over to another parking space….rude, intimidating and absolutely horrendous experience. DO NOT waste your money. I will take the car elsewhere.

Great service, my car is amazingly clean. Staff are extremely hard working and very considerate when I phoned to say I was running late. I am more than happy and can highly recommend Star at Hornsby! If I could make just one suggestion, it would be to have a more feminine smelling deodoriser for ladies vehicles??? I found the one used a bit overpowering. Thanks so much I will be back!

Used multiple times and they are usually OK-ish. This time I paid $190 for an external detail though and there is caked mud through the hinges, under the spoiler and they obviously hadn't opened the sunroof. You can see the dirt after wiping with a few wet wipes. This is after I took it back once already and complained and they had a second go. Spent ages re-cleaning it myself.

The previous experience at Hornsby was unpleasant, as the staff member was rude and hadn't even started cleaning my car when I returned an hour and a half later. However theis time a different person took my keys and he was really nice, very efficient, texted me when the car was ready and it took the stated time if 90 minutes for a Platinum clean. Thank you!

Excellent service by the guys at Star car wash Hornsby! We had 2 cars washed today. The manager (didn't get his name) was very helpful and patient with us. We needed to remove/install the child car seats before and after the cars were washed, which took for ever, but the staff were friendly and made us feel comfortable. The cars were cleaned nicely as well.

We had left it a long time before details on our 2022 Tuscon, stopped in on Sunday at Star Wash - Hornsby Westfields, for an external detail and polish and we’re greeted immediately by a friendly staff member. We were offered an excellent price and we’re pleasantly surprised by the workmanship when we picked up our car. Will definitely be coming here again.

Ordered the express wash and was told car would be ready in 1 hour. This turned into 2+ hours for a simple exterior wash and they tried to over-charge me. Another customer had been waiting for 2+ hours and their car had not even been moved from the spot they left it, no cleaning had even been started on it. Very disappointing customer service

My car was extremely dirty with caked on grime having been left outside of garage for extended periods. My expectations were for a cleaner car, what I got was a super clean car that I'm proud to be seen in!! Thankyou!

Not at all a quality work. Although they acknowledged to again wax the car after pointing them. But when checked thoroughly after reaching home, the car was not vacuumed properly, lots of dust in boot and back of middle seats. Can see wax not cleaned, water marks and front bottom not washed properly. Not recommended.

my cars interior was completely trashed from my dogs & desert dust then something like moss started growing in the dust on my dashboard. i got an expensive quote from another company & kept looking around. these guys did an amazing job for 1/3 of what i was quoted by the competition. thankyou. highly recommended.

Had the “star platinum wash.” BEST $55/- I ever spent!!! Amazing, sparkling clean car, sanitized at the same time. Could not believe the standard of clean just brilliant. No water drips left, wheels cleaned par excellence. So happy. The guys were professional and did a brilliant job. I would go back repeatedly.

I got the car back 20 mins late and it was still dirty. I had explictly asked to complete the work within 2hrs as I had appointment elsewhere. (Booking says normal Starwash Polish duration takes 75-110 mins). I was offered free wash voucher to complete the work next time. (The voucher has never come through)

Just left the car wash. In the light it’s clear the job has been rushed! Headlights not done, still dirty with lots of spots not cleaned, small areas which I pointed out and was told, that needs to be polished out, came out with a wet towel. No point in paying for a car wash here as you end up having to redo

Just OK. Waited 2 hours to receive the car which seemed like half heartedly cleaned. The offered to clean again, which wasn’t also great. Lot of water marks inside and out, lack of attention to detail and poor carpet vacuum. They compensated in price but not a quality outcome for a ~3 hour wait time.

I was a bit disappointed. At drop off I had said I wanted a thorough clean and pointed specifically to areas. When I got home I found the underside of the rear view mirrors were still dirty and the inside door of the driver’s side was still dirty. I expect a lot more when I pay for a premium service.

Paid a decent amount for a clean inside and out, polish etc. I was really happy with the clean outside, however, the inside wasn’t great. They didn’t bother vacuuming under the seats or around the edges of the baby seats, bits of food were left, and the wipe down was average. Wouldn’t go here again.

Beautifully done. For timewise, a little bit delayed than promised which I can see that everyones complaining but for the quality wise, this is my second time already and their work is very detailed. Properly done and tried hard to make it perfect detailing. I totally recommand this business.

Cleaning was great as always but I noticed my gum and maccas monopoly vouchers weren’t in the car after the cleaning, I guess you guys thought they were rubbish coz I didn’t tell you to keep them but maybe check next time coz the gym still had some in it and the vouchers were all unused.

Couldnt find my online booking, didnt seem co cerned if car had any existing dents or scratches when i spoke to staff member. Was ok for $100, but no sms when car was done. Got charged extra for parking time when we left. Not impressed with the couple scratches on inside windscreen.

Went there for a wash and agreed on $55 and to collect in one hour. An hour later got back and had to wait another 15 minutes for them to fetch the car then the guy demands I pay $85. I said we agreed on $55. He said no we didn’t and became very abrupt. Many better places than this

I had the platinum wash today ($65) and the dashboard hadn't even been wiped over. Door jams were meant to be included and obviously weren't wiped at all. Floor mats were soaking wet. Exterior was wet but hadn't been thoroughly washed at all. Disappointing and wouldn't recommend.

This place is consistently good and I have always been pleased with their service. Reasonable price, and yesterday they even gave me a discount because they went a bit overtime and they knew I would ha to pay my parking at the carpark exit gate. I will certainly use them again.

I got the platinum / top package. Definitely got back. Great service. Great price. Very convenient being in Westfield. Car looked like new. Only minor negative, they did miss some biscuit crumbs, but that’s okay toddlers are pretty good at getting them in every nook & cranny.

The car was cleaned perfectly both inside & out. However, I am curious as to why the rubber mat in boot of car was so wet. When I got home I had to remove it & thoroughly wipe it down. I left the boot open to dry out the carpet underneath. Bit sure why this happened

Poor service. In spite of charging inflated price for the wash, car came back with dirt spots all round, dusty from inside etc. On top if all, the rep was not accepting that it isn't a good clean and giving reasons instead of accepting the mistake. Not recommended.

There’s no point using a car park car wash for convenience if you have to wait 10 minutes to drop off your car and 10 minutes to pick it up. Seems like first world problems, but the value proposition (and the reason you pay a premium) is convenience.
