Honestly, there are much better vets in the area. I went to this vet for my dogs yearly vaccinations. The nurse was really sweet and loving to my dog, however, when the vet came in, she immediately said "Oh those chihuahuas are nippy, I'm going to muzzle her." She had never even met my dog before who is a Pomeranian.. I said my dog is anxious because she doesn't like standing on the high table and said I would prefer to just hold her, but she hasn't ever bitten anyone. She still insisted on a muzzle. She then couldn't find a muzzle small enough so just forced one on my dog who has never worn a muzzle before. I thought standard practise was to put a treat in the muzzle to encourage the dog to associate it with a positive experience but she just shoved a large one on my dog and held her head down with her palm while she shoved the needle in her. My dog screamed from the fright and pain of the needle which was horrible for me to watch. I felt really gross and sorry for my dog after the appointment. The nurse was really sweet the whole time but the vet ruined the experience for us. I felt like the vet had lost her passion and respect for animals. I will not be returning. I need a vet who has patience and empathy for all dogs, even the little anxious ones.
We've been using this vet since getting a new puppy in June 2020. The vet isn't cheap for starters! During covid only one of myself and partner could go in, she is a first time owner and they were overwhelming to her, selling her products each time... Of which just aren't getting the job done! My puppy has now had tapeworm twice since using the tablets sold. Also not advising my partner when they initially "wormed" our puppy that it covered everything except tape worm... If we had known this, we would have immediately chosen to purchase and use those tablets too. Since then we've been back and been sold tablets, however they haven't lasted the 3 months they were supposed to cover. The staff haven't been friendly or helpful to us, such as some reviews... Maybe it's certain staff? Bottom line is we are choosing a New vet.
My cat developed acute cystitis and I found an appointment at end of day which I only just made it to. My cat had just vomited all through her carrier, and the lovely staff immediately took my cat, cleaned out her carrier, and got her seen to immediately. I was extremely apologetic but every staff member was so kind, warm and accomodating which is exactly what I wish for in a vet, but sadly rarely find. The vet who saw my cat treated her with such respect, and thoroughly explained everything to me. Prices were very reasonable imo, but it’s a level of kindness and care that will see me return to this vet in the future. Thank you.
I would not recommend this vet for a puppy or any dog for vaccinations because my dogs screams because they doesn’t let us hold or stay near them maybe due to covid but other vets does not do this. My dog never scream when having vaccination and he even got on on the same day as stone corner for rabies and he doesn’t feel forced. The vet here is not only to dog but not friendly to us too. The only thing they are good here thats why i give 2 stars because they have rare vaccine like leptospirosis for travelling dogs. If you could choose I go to highgate hill to see Jenny shes friendly and nice.
We have taken our rescue dog here a couple of times and staff are always so friendly and welcoming. Our dog isn't always the happiest to have people touching him, but they are so patient with him, he doesn't get worried at all. Recently, he was in some pain with a ripped due claw and even though they were fully booked, they did everything they could to help him and squeeze him in. Pricing seems very reasonable compared to our past experiences with vets and I would higher recommend Stones Corner Veterinary Surgery to anyone.
Brilliant! Buffy and Dr Barbara alleviated my fears in the space of half an hour from the time of my phone call to me walking out of the surgery relieved. My cat had pulled her stitches out after being spayed and had a small wound that wouldn't heal. Dr Barb gave it a quick snip and sent me on my way. Reassuring to know that these lovely people understand how much I my Nurse Ratchet means to me. Although this surgery is not far from me, I would pack a lunch for the trip back if I lived in Byron Bay!
After an unpleasant experience earlier in the week at a different vet with my new puppy, this practice came recommended to me and I went along today for my pup's first visit, I highly recommend Stones Corner Veterinary Surgery. The nurses and vets are knowledgable, caring, professional and positive, kindly reminding me this is "how it should be". I'm most grateful, thank you very much, and happy to report puppy is loving Hills dried food.
The staff and vets here are wonderful, caring and kind. Quoted $200 approx for my pet who ate chocolate and macademia nuts. I rushed him down they took him straight in and the care was excellent. Bill was $140 so that was a nice surprise. Not often a quote is less. Always get good care and detailed info on what is being done. I highly recomend them
Jessica is absolutely amazing. Every time I visit she is so kind and friendly. She was so informative during my dogs spay today. Dr Sarah is the most wonderful and empathetic Vet ever and takes time to listen. The entire team were fantastic and so accommodating with us and our pup. They also gave her the cutest little bandana after her surgery.
Used this vet for two years, and they are very honest and helpful. They will recommend cost levels as needed, or expand on options if cost is not an issue, and helped us when our labrador almost died last year, working with both us and the emergency surgery in Underwood. Lovely receptionists and the vets are very knowledgeable.
So happy I found Stones Corner Vet. We've had major cat issues and the entire team care for Dennis and Wanda like they're their own. Very reasonably priced, and a lovely experience from start to finish with on-time appointments, friendly and knowledgeable staff and follow up calls to ensure your pet is still going well.
Our two dogs having been going to Stones Corner Vet for several years and are always looked after very well. If they are unwell we are seen quickly and provided effective and simple treatment. Good opening hours and convenient location. Would definitely recommend Tracey and Rhonda to anyone looking for an excellent vet.
A fantastic clinic where care of animals is paramount. They’ve been our vet for over 13 years and have been there in sad and happy times. Rhonda, Tracey, Sarah, Louise and the entire team have been so compassionate, kind and caring for our animals. We can’t fault them, and they are highly recommended.
Great staff with a genuine caring for your pets. Recently moved from the big "chain store" vets and the personal service is such a refreshing change. Only 3 vets working at this clinic so you will be able to get to know your vets and not get a new person looking at your pet every time you visit.
The vets here, Tracy and Rhonda are friendly, competent and professional. I have been here for a few consultations with both cat and dog and have been happy with the outcome on all occasions. Fees are reasonable considering the level of expertise and services received. Definitely recommend!
Thank you for always allowing my cat to board with you. Even though I am no longer a customer there (not for negative reasons), my 2 previous cats used to be patients there. Lovely staff, helpful advice, a solid long-standing independent business in the community.
Always top notch care for our dogs. I've taken my guys there for most of their lives and wouldn't go anywhere else. The vets here love what they do, it shows in the care they take. The nurses are also great, coming together to provide a really good experience.
Dr Rhonda is a saint. She and her team saved my dog’s life. If you find yourself feeling that visits to the vet are too clinical - it’s worth your time to try a smaller clinic like this one. Professional and caring staff. I can’t thank them enough.
Lovely staff and vets! Sarah did our dogs booster vaccine and was so kind and gentle with him. She was very informative and friendly and we would definitely go back to see her. He was a happy boy after seeing her. Great experience …
Absolutely disgustingly disgraceful!! Wanted to charge me $704.85 to desex my 15 month old toy Cavoodle! I went to another VET surgery 20 min away and paid $249 for the exact same procedure. I will not be returning that’s for sure
The Stones Corner Vet is by far the best clinic I’ve been to. All the staff are warm, friendly and have great communication. They always call to check in and see how the pets are doing after a procedure or a health problem.
Was able to make a very last min appt with Dr Sarah and she was thorough, friendly and patient with my old cat. All staff members I have encountered have been everything you could ask for from a caring vet practice.
Took my mini Fox Terrier to this vet… I was not disappointed!! The service was amazing, reasonably priced (my last vet was expensive so definitely a plus), my boy absolutely loved all the staff! Highly recommend!
We have brought our cat Kara here ever since we adopted her and all the staff has been so patient and helpful with us. There’s parking out the front and usually there are free spaces so it’s convenient for us.
Very professional and caring Staff. Dr Sarah has been amazing, our cat was gravely unwell. She arranged tests results back quickly. All nurses very kind and caring with our boy to the end. Highly recommend.
Lovely staff but the Cytopoint here costs $75 more than my last vet from ~6 weeks ago. Look elsewhere if you need Cytopoint frequently. Thats a whopping 76% more.
These guys quickly became our regular vet after out first visit there. The attention to detail love and compassion the staff have for your pets is heart-warming
It was time for my 17yr dog to crossover. Staff were sympathetic and professional. Thank you.
Clean clinic, great staff that are extremely helpful and you can tell they love the animals
Wonderful team helped my puppa move to România.
