I brought my 12 yo daughter in for a cut/ she does have very curly hair. Diana did a great job. When I returned the next day with my other daughter 10yo, I was greeted by the owner. Not in a good way. She said, in front of everyone as I entered, “you know, she didn’t charge you the right amount/ she should have charged you extra for how difficult her hair was.” I could not believe her approach. How rude she was, how she didn’t care to have this conversation privately. Also, it made me feel like she was shaming me/my child for having curly hair. I wanted to leave. I was so embarrassed. I told her I would have paid whatever they would have charged, how is it my fault that I didn’t get charged correctly. Anyway, I stayed and had my other daughter’s hair cut. Diana was not the issue, she was great. I just hope that the owner sees this and understands that part of running a business is being kind and considerate. I will find another place to spend my money.

DISAPPOINTED!! I show the girl what I wanted in pictures and she highlighted just the top of my head, now I look like a zebra. She insisted and insisted and she did what she wanted and when your there in their chair you really hope that they know what they're doing. In the beginning I didn't understood why she did it that way but later she told me that I would have to come back and guess what?? I WOULD HAVE TO PAY $ 200 AGAIN!! Very clever!! $200 for half head of highlights when it clearly says on the board $125 for a full head of highlights, VERY ABUSIVE!! If is not a cheap salon at least do a good job NO THANK YOU. THIS WAS THE FIRST AND THE LAST TIME!!!! YES, IS SALON 51 ON BASELINE AND 51ST.. I have all the rights to write a review and warn people of your bad practices VERY DISRESPECT AS WELL IF YOU YOU CARE FOR YOUR CUSTOMERS AND YOUR BUSINESS YOU SHOULD AT LEAST APOLOGIZE!!

Studio 51 is definitely the hidden gem in the city. After many years of searching for the right beautician, I can confidently say I found a salon I can call home. Rebeckah accommodated a tight schedule I had, which in itself was cause for praise. I can’t speak highly enough of this salon. Rebeckah is the definition of perfection when it comes to haircutting and coloring. I’ve been getting compliments daily as a result of her work! She is simply the BEST and has a gift with her hands. I definitely recommend Studio 51, it’s friendly, cozy and extremely clean! I was greeted very warmly upon my entrance and seated almost immediately. The service I received was top-notch. I felt so relaxed and at home, and truly enjoyed the special treats they provide you while being pampered.

The lady who did my hair was nice and all, but the process was worrying. I told her i did not want to have a hardcore blonde and thats what i ended up. I also wanted cool tone and im pretty golden. And she did not consult with me how i wanted it cut, but it is a straight cut on the bottom if you can call it straight. While dying my hair the owner had to jump in and correct my color because i was SUPER blone. It was suppose to take 4 hours, but took 9 hours, so at the end of the session i was freaked out. I called and asked to speak with the manager or owner and they said she would call me the same day. Nope. I thought ok, she will call tomorrow and nothing.. im so upset no oned to reach out to me since i paid 400, some curdosy would have been helpful.

I don’t know where to start of how great of a place this is. What makes it great are the people in it. A very talented crew and are really great at what they do. Rebeckah has been cutting my son’s hair and myself included. My son and i won’t even get our haircut unless it’s Rebeckah cutting it. Having someone that knows how to cut your hair is one thing but gaining a friend on top of that is priceless. Very personable and really do cares about their customers. It’s like going to a friend’s house to catch up on things. There’s not a whole lot of people that feels like that or can say that to other businesses out there. I called today to get an appointment and apparently I had miss an appointment on 30 September, but I didn’t realize I had. And so she told me that I couldn’t make an appointment there for six months since I missed my appointment. My husband passed away on the 30th and his birthday was on 1 October. So that’s probably why I missed this appointment. The point that I want to make is that I have been punished for six months that I cannot make an appointment there. I wasn’t even ask why I didn’t make it in or ask why I missed my appointment and that makes me really sad because Rebecca is just outstanding in haircuts and colors . And I can’t wait six months to get my hair done.

I saw bad reviews mostly mentioning Rebeckah Madrid and now I know why. Last night was the first huge storm of the 2023 summer season and my neighbors tree fell on my roof. I have major damage and a leak. I called to cancel my haircut appointment today and she told me I have to pay for the full service if I ever want to go there again. This lady lacks any compassion for people - she only cares about $$$ which is clearly evident from the other reviews AND the fact that she immediately texted me with an invoice! 9/4/23 response to owners comment - I told you twice why I was canceling and you blew it off. Maybe you should work on your listening skills.

WOW...I am speechless! I've heard about Studio 51 from friends, and I decided to give it a shot. I flew in to AZ looking for a change. Not only is the salon extremely clean and beautifully decorated for the occasion, BUT Rebeckah did an incredible job! Rebeckah heard me out and exceeded my expectations. She knew what I wanted and needed better than I did! My daughter also left the salon feeling marvelous with her hair cut and new bangs. I have never received so many compliments about my hair length and color. I will not trust anyone else with my hair ever again! Rebeckah, you are the best, thank you!!

This place used to be Fantastic Sam's and when it closed I was worried the stylists left with it but to happy surprise they stayed and ventured out on their own! With a couple of stylists changes but the best ones stayed. So glad and happy for them and my hair! Love the new look and personal touch on it!! I cannot emphasize how happy I am after visiting this salon. My hair needed some serious damage control. It is long, I use color a lot and have not had a haircut in years. I came to studio 51 for the first time last week and got a haircut from Elizabeth. I didn’t fully understand that I only scheduled myself for just a haircut and not a wash but Elizabeth was happy to add to my service and wash my hair as well. She noticed that I have wavy hair and used curl products in my hair and diffused it after my cut to show me how to naturally curl it. She has inspired me to discover how to style my wavy hair and gave me confidence in myself and hair again! Thank you, Elizabeth!

My best friend has been going to this place recently and he was happy with them, until he couldn't make it to his appointment on time, he called to reschedule and they told him, he could not get service with them for six months, and/or he had to pay for the haircut. Even tho he didnt get a haircut he would have to pay for it, if he wanted to get service again, basically he either paid a fine or get punished for 6 months. That is the most ridiculous and weird thing i have ever heard.

Had a mix up with my appointment and ended up waiting longer then expected but I will be the first to say glad it happened. If it didn't I would not have got one of the best haircuts of my life! Abraham took his time, made me feel beautiful by the end and everyone was so friendly and you can tell they are a close bunch of people. They show pride in their work and you can tell they enjoy it. I also got a full face wax which was exceptional as well. I will definitely be returning...

Honestly I went in nervous since I've had so many hair nightmare stories lol but thankfully this was not one of them. - The owner did my hair a few months ago. I gave her about 20 various photos, had NO idea what I really wanted lol and I left super happy. She was awesome! It's like she knew what I was asking for without even knowing what I wanted myself. After getting haircuts elsewhere, that a barely there trim turned into more than 2 inches getting cut off and getting hurt, my boys where apprehensive about getting haircuts. However, my boys got haircuts by Abraham at Studio 51 today. He listened to what each wanted and was careful and meticulous. Boys walked away happy and glad that an adult heard what they wanted and this momma was ecstatic! Thank you Abraham! We have gotten lots of compliments already.

Extremely rude! My gf made appointments for both of us called in and confirmed it everything was good. We then Received a voicemail from Abraham being extremely rude and condescending towards us for no reason. We canceled our appointment immediately and they acted as if it was okay for him to speak down on us for no reason. Would not recommend anyone going here unless you want to be treated with disrespect before you even show up to your appointment.

Came here yesterday to start the process of going lighter. Liz did my hair, and did such an amazing job, my new go to for anything to do with my hair. I have never felt pretty or confident, but leaving that salon made me feel like I was the most beautiful girl in the world. I am so happy with my results. I made an appointment with a stylist. Showed up and was told my stylist did not have time for me but I could use a different stylist. As a woman, once you find a stylist you trust, no one else will do! I am back on the hunt for a stylist I can trust and not pawn me off on someone else. Unacceptable!!! I went to get highlights and they were not worth it. I spent $300 and the girl named Ariel did my highlights but she only did it from the length of my hair and left the top all empty. I went in again to get the top of my hair done and she charged me $175 more. Altogether I spent $475 and it was not worth it they had an attitude. Would not recommend.

Explained that I am trying to grow my hair longer, that I wanted a little off tge ends with layers, 6"inches was cut off the ends and I have no layers and the haircut is very uneven. I called and she argued with me about how much she cut like I don't know how long my hair was.

The lady just started wetting my hair with a spray bottle. I had to tell her to wash and condition my hair, then I showed her pictures of the type of haircut I wanted. She then said I hope I don't give you a mullet. I left with wet hair. I'm never going to this place again.
