Once i got divorced from my married life, i had to find a place to live quickly, and happily found Sundowner caravan park. I can not give this park a high enough star rating that could describe how fantastic it was. It just so happened that i got involved with the wrong friend that got me evicted from the park and i had to live in the car for 6 months because of his obsessive drinking disorder. I would do anything to be able to move back into my cabin 178A any day of the week after the relationship i am going through at the moment with this woman i am living with right now. It is by far the best caravan park in Melbourne and the staff are the best people you will ever find anywhere in a long shot. I would give my left arm to be able to move back in again straight away. I even used to be able to park my small truck in a car spot when i was living there. I MISS YOU GUYS, YOU KNOW WHO I'M TALKING ABOUT. K & J I drive passed this place every day CRYING about how much i miss living here and how much i would DO ANYTHING TO BE ABLE TO COME BACK HOME TO THIS PLACE AGAIN. I no longer see this person who got me evicted from this park anymore and hopefully get a chance to move back in again IF POSSIBLE PLEASE I miss living here so BAD

Close to Melbourne but maintaining a country feel, the Sundowner Caravan Park is home to many long-term residents, transient workers as well as tourists. The receptionist is very pleasant and the outdoor staff friendly. There is significant road noise from the highway with roughly 7000 vehicles per hour going pass at peak times! The Rockbank Railway Station is an easy 20 minute walk and the ride to the city on a comfortable Vline train takes about half an hour. The powered sites are quite spacious and the rates are very reasonable. A very large non powered campground caters for the biggest rigs down to tent and swags. The well-built ablution block remains in its original state, and although tired, it’s kept clean and functional. Nice hot showers and some may enjoy the radio playing throughout the building. Be careful where you park your van as bird dropping can be extremely severe in some sites rendering a van filthy overnight. Overall the park has a good vibe, although with a such large population the peace will undoubtably be shattered occasionally.

Der Campingplatz liegt leider direkt an einer viel befahrenen Straße(laut), ziemlich weit außerhalb von Melbourne. Die Unpowered Sites befinden sich auf einem sandigen Platz, bei dem bei stärkerem Wind, der komplette Sand im Camper und somit auch im Gesicht landet....(die Mülltonnen sind sehr klein und werden nicht täglich geleert). Zu allem Übel hatten wir auch noch einen Stromausfall! Was ich Gutes sagen kann ist, dass alle Mitcamper um uns herum sehr, sehr nett und aufgeschlossen waren. Preis - Leistungsverhältnis war sehr zufriedenstellend(48,50$/2,Nights/2 Pers. UNPOWERED). Die Ameneties waren immer sauber und man hatte als Frau eine großzügige Ablagefläche für seine Pflegeutensilien. Es war auch möglich 2 Stunden später auszuchecken, weil wir mit zusammen packen noch nicht fertig waren, was ich sehr nett von der Parkleitung fand. Alles in allem also zu empfehlen.

It’s a nice park but the people that are taking care of the park are rude as anything I went to go in to the pool as it says 10am to 8pm it was only 6:50pm when I went over to go in and it was closed so me and my sister went over to the office it was closed and we rang the bell lady came and and said “WHATS YOUR PROBLEM?” And I told her about the pool and she says no you are not swimming in the pool it’s to cold but it was not cold it was rlly hot! We went back the day after and it was closed again and it was so hot that day!!!! OPEN YOUR POOL It’s there for people who want to use it don’t just keep it closed!!!!

Accommodation is basic but clean I will give them that. The overnight accommodation is situated right next to the very very busy highway which is extremely noisy all night, hence why they provide foam earplugs. Towels only if you ask, don't forget to ask for bath mat as you will not get one. One small towel per person. Very grumpy receptionist. Very grumpy owners, limited office hours, no website booking.

We stayed at this park for 5 nights - and whilst it was an "average experience" - this is the first caravan park with a car wash. An awful lot of semi permanents and workers there. Secondly - the front reception person "Robyn" refused to sign our Centrelink Rent Assistance Form. I would suggest that Management re-train this person in the legal process required by Caravan parks.

Worst camping ground ever. Unfriendly. Restrooms not cleaned for three days. Maintenance worker seems to have a problem with dogs, at a dog friendly park... wakes you up to show you where your dog made at night... Knows that dog is afraid of heavy duty tools, starts working right beside the caravan... If 0 stars would be possible I’d give 0 stars.

Horrible place all round . Only one entry and exit via an unmade road onto a busy freeway , a deathtrap. Cranky old woman on the front desk makes u feel very unwelcome almost like your intruding. Adding to that she was caught out lieing to us. Not reccomended for holiday or relaxation. Stay clear of this place.

The hot water in bath room is stable for the whole night (some cm said not stable or no hot water) . Appreciate the self-car wash corner! This place is nice with a good price, 24.2 for an unpowered site. But it’s quite busy for the highway so it’s not easy to get into the caravan park.

I stayed here for one week in early june,i found the accomodation suitable,convenient and clean with all the amenities. The surroundings around the cabin accomodation are quiet and has alot of native birds in the big trees.i definitely would stay here again.

Staff do not give respect I have seen them being racist towards people. Its 1 of the worst parks in Victoria i have even caught the staff lieing to customers about the park and other things. I suggest stay well away from this park if you respect yourself

The rooms were clean and comfortable. As a self contained cabin it was stocked with everything I needed. Staff were friendly and helpful. They didn't put the price up just because it was Christmas new year and my dad thoroughly enjoyed his stay here

Very disappointed had no hot water for a shower and no way of telling them this when it’s after hours. When informing them upon check out they didn’t seem to really care and did ever offer compensation or a discount for our unpleasant experience.

31/10/17 We had a very enjoyable 5 days there & while there had some very memorable day drives through the Yarra Glen Ranges & down through the gullies. Would recommend this park & staff (very friendly & helpful) to anyone.

It says dog-friendly but they must remain tied up at your campsite, you aren't even allowed to walk them around the park. Very nice and updated pool. There's a lot of residents there which made it feel a bit uncomfortable

Great stay here the night before Spirit of Tasmania. Tidy park with nice amenities. Didn't find it noisy at all. Were able to park and stay hooked up. Site was well maintained. Staff were very obliging. Would recommend

It's cheap. Don't charge extra for kids. Good amenities and pool. Car wash facility. Clean welcoming park. No dump point and no oven in camp kitchen, very noisy obviously next to highway and trainline

Apart from the noisy traffic and sometimes difficult access to Western Hwy, it is has very clean amenities, hot showers, great laundry with plenty of clothes line space. Great parking for long rigs.

Expected better cabin very small & couldn't have a shower water was going from warm to cold. Far to expensive & next to main freeway very noisy. Better of in a motel if staying more than a few days.

This is a very convenient park to stay at but access is very difficult with main road access being dangerous. Mark and Dianne are the best kind of managers you could wish for and do a great job.

Great Caravan park on the Western Highway. Very quiet, management are wonderful, the park is clean, pet friendly and the amenities very clean. Loved our stay and would definitely return:)

Semi-friendly people. Not the nicest park, amenities clean but dated. Laundry only cold wash. Rockbank trainstation is a 15 minute walk away. Decent value, considering the clean pool.

Rude staff, Web site states pet friendly and gushes how friendly they are, yet were rude and not interested in taking a booking! No phone manners, no introduction, not recommended!

Very unfriendly stuff, the kitchen is dirty all time, you can't use the pool for at least the next 6 months and the highway is very close so you hear the traffic all the time...

Lots of people saying this is a "nice" caravan park, which isn't a lie but I don't see any mention of the death-trap that is the driveway getting into and out of this place.

Dealing with the high flow of traffic at the front is the only thing I don't like. VIC roads should wise up and make the entrance at the rear of the park off a back street.

Second time we have stayed at this caravan park and have had no problem. Staff are friendly and very helpful alway hot water and bathrooms are kept clean. We will be back.

Nice park. No dump point and if you want a hot shower make sure you have one before 5pm after that it's all gone. But clean facilities nice pool and dog or cat friendly.

FrIendly staff, cheap, clean. We took the train into melbourne, about 35 minutes on train. Only drawback was pulling out onto busy highway when leaving.

Super friendly staff, great grounds, great facilities, especially the camp kitchen. Stayed here for about a week and was very impressed.

Did not manage to enter the place. Almost crashed on the driveway, which is the most dangerous place I have ever experienced in a car…

在高速公路旁的營地，兩個人（帳篷地）不插電一晚24.20AU，廚房有冰箱、微波爐、快煮壺、BBQ台，廁所空間很大很乾淨，需要鑰匙開門，洗衣間（需投幣）及曬衣場也有足夠空間使用，有個小小的花園種了些果菜，旁邊的泳池沒有開放，夏天來或許就能玩水了！不錯的地方！
