This is a mixed review, because, while the end result was impressive, we really had to hustle to get there! Firstly, I found Susan on Groupon and called ahead to make sure she had availability before purchasing the Groupon. She advised that I should not purchase a Groupon, but to come straight in the next day. She sent me her bank details and asked me to deposit $50. That didn’t feel like a sensible thing to do so I declined, but I assured her that I would be there the following day. I turned up with my two daughters, as promised, looking for half head of foils, treatment, cut and blowave $99 per person as advertised. On arrival and inspection of our hair, she went on a lengthy rant about how they were different prices for different lengths and styles of hair. Basically, we ended up agreeing to only one daughter getting a half head foils and the other two just cut, treatment, and blow wave. Despite the advertised priced, we eventually negotiate it down to $485 for all three of us - cash only, which was a lot more than originally quoted, but I understand that longer and thicker hair can be more Labour intensive. When it came to the end of the session, she changed the price to $550. When I said, “that’s not the price originally quoted” she started pestering my 14-year-old daughter to prove her right?! I still had the number saved in my phone calculator sent to my husband as he had to go and get me the cash to pay for it from the local ATM. She kept barking at me that I had to get 550 not 485 and it got fairly uncomfortable to say the least! This is after I had already had my other daughter in tears as although she wanted her natural curls rather than beach waves or heat curls (which Susan kept insisting on) Susan went ahead and blow dryed it straight before instructing her assistant to go and get the heat tongs! At this point, I had to intervene and asked my gorgeous hairdresser, Dean to take over. Dean did a fantastic job of my hair and I couldn’t be happier. He had a calm and approachable manner, and really did save the day! After what was an afternoon of high drama we ended up walking out of there with three acceptable hairdos but my gosh - what a stressful journey! So, in conclusion, if you find yourself at the salon, ask for Dean and only Dean and you will be happy. Oh, and negotiate & pay at the beginning!

Not only did she clarify all details regarding the services and pricing, but she also accommodated my schedule, suggesting a convenient time for my appointment. Upon arriving at the salon, Susan’s expertise shone through. She flawlessly executed the full head of color, wash, cut, treatment, and blow-dry as per the Groupon coupons I had purchased. The results were fantastic, leaving me absolutely delighted with the outcome. Susan’s professionalism and attention to detail were evident throughout the entire experience. I truly appreciate her commitment to customer satisfaction and her ability to create a comfortable and enjoyable atmosphere. Went to Susan's salon for the first time yesterday for a haircut, treatment and full head of foils. I think the pictures speak for themselves - from dry, thin, frizzy and yellowish hair to bouncy waves with a natural-looking golden blonde/brown hair colour. Four staff members worked on my hair and brows, and they were all incredibly friendly and attentive to my asks. Thank you again to the team! The only 'buts' I could have is that it can get very hectic or rather has a hectic vibe/approach in the salon (when in there and when calling to book), was charged quite a hefty surcharge (prepared for some in addition to the Groupon I'd bought), and not too fond of the haircut after seeing it non-styled (quite thinned out bottom).

Loved going here!! It was my first time in a while getting my hair done and the service was great! When I called, I was actually lucky enough to set up an appointment the next day. I added my inspo picture below and I think it was great. I did realize though that my hair appeared a bit more dark brown in the store since I wasn’t sitting under the sunlight. If I had to change anything, I would have asked to go a bit darker for the roots because once I stepped into the sun when leaving the salon, I looked a bit blonder than I preferred. However, this is a personal mistake and due to my preference and inexperience. The staff did an amazing job at communicating and executing.

Thank you, Susan and the team for my new look. I just had my hairs done a couple of days ago and couldn’t be more than happy with it. I came just for a quick haircut but ended up with the full treatment- fixing my colour, treatment and haircut. Susan and the team spent a couple of hours with me, working 4 hands to help me to get through the process quicker as I have a newborn baby and the result is amazing, the colour is beautiful and hairs look so much better and healthier now. Also Susan is such a lovely person that you would feel comfortable and confident with the result. Highly recommend this place!!!

Susan was one of the best hairdressers I’ve met in a long time. Super knowledgeable, highly experienced, knew exactly what I wanted for my mum after the consultation, and did an absolutely beautiful job at repairing a lot of damage for her dry hair, a perfect graduated layered cut and beautiful styling, almost exactly as what we’d shown in the photo. We used the wash, cut, blow-dry and treatment Groupon voucher and received more value for money than you’d imagine. Highly recommend! We’ll definitely be coming back ☺️

Best highlights (full foil) I have ever gotten! Susan kindly took me in for a last-minute appointment and did an absolutely fabulous job on my highlights. She took so much care to balance the colors out and leave me with a beautiful and delicate colour (see my before and after photos). Susan was also incredibly kind and patient. I'm looking forward to returning for all my hair needs going forward :) I came back again since I love this salon so much and they always do such a great job!!

Always so happy with my treatments at Susan's salon. Susan and her staff always do an amazing job! I get highlights, blow dry and hair cuts done every 2 months. And recently I have also experienced that you can get your lashes lifted and tinted here - I definitely recommend you to go to Susan's salon, like I do! I just had a wash, treatment, blow dry and colour completed at the salon, they were all more than welcoming offering tea, coffee and water. My hair turned out exactly how I had asked, the colourist was knowledgeable and answered all my questions. The girl who blow dried and cut my hair was fantastic and always checked in with me. Very please with the outcome of my hair after the time at Susan Hair and Beauty Salon. As i was long overdue for a cut, my hair was very dry but it has come out beautifully.
