This is not a fair weathered review. I purchased an EVO Snow from Jake from the Pyrmont store a couple of years ago. I was pretty happy with the bike until there was some problem with the battery. I organised with Jake to get it fixed. After that point however, pretty much everything that could go wrong did go wrong. No-one of this was Jake's fault nor the fault of anyone at Sydney Electric Bikes. It was proving to be not the best experience for me however. In my opinion, the measure of business or owner is best taken when things aren't rosy. This is where Jake shone. He went out of his way to ensure that the situation was recovered in the best way possible. He was very flexible and kept me in the loop at all times. At the end of the day I got a good result and for that I am grateful. I highly recommend Jake and the staff at Sydney Electric Bikes. I'm sure your experience will be flawless. But if you were unlucky like me, know that Jake has your back and he'll look after you.

My wife and I met Jake at the Pyrmont store and were given a huge amount of time in taking us through the various options and the opportunity to test drive was great. We bought two bikes one being a mountain ebike which I just love and the other a hybrid for my wife. The hybrid we took home was very cool but we felt we needed a little more grunt up the steep hills near home. We phoned Jake who could not have been more helpful and allowed us to return that bike and get a full credit on another bike ,this time a rear hub drive which eats hills for breakfast. The second bike was tested form the Thornleigh store and Scott was very helpful as well. Our Ebikes have been brilliant fun and great exercise and the team at sydney Ebikes made the whole experience very easy and enjoyable.

We could not have asked for better service from the guys at SEB - Hornsby. Being first time ebike owners and therefore total novices, Dave was patient and understanding and happy to spend whatever time we needed. Initially we had planned on buying a different bike from another company online, but are so happy that we made the decision not to and went to SEB where we received excellent service and ended up with fabulous bikes. Our maiden ride today certainly turned heads and who wouldn't turn to take a better look at these beauties. Knobby tread tyres for all terrain, hydraulic brakes, 48v 21ah battery and great service from the guys at SEB to look after us. Very happy. Thank you Sydney Electric Bikes.

I bought my first ebike from Jake at SEB today! Despite being one of their first Thornleigh customers when they were still setting up the shop, they spent ages with me over two separate visits answering all my novice questions and giving me their full attention. They are extremely knowledgeable and incredibly patient and helpful. My new Velectrix ebike is awesome! I couldn’t be happier. It rides like a dream, better than I imagined. Sydney hills no longer exist for me, all fun with no pain! At 58, I feel like a kid again. I highly recommend going to see these guys for a test drive - with a life changing product and fantastic service - you’ll never look back!

The guys at Sydney Electric Bikes are really helpful. They offered me a great deal on an ebike including a price match, and some really good advice over the phone regarding size choice. They also provide bike fitting and very reasonably priced servicing. If you're thinking about getting an ebike, don't think about the money or the mythical "loss of fitness", you will still sweat and breathe hard, it's not motocross! Just get one and enjoy the ride! the guys here are great! they were really friendly. i came in to see if they could get me another screw for my derailleur, and one of the guys told me that having just the one screw should be fine. but went and found another screw for me anyway. keep in mind, i don't even have an electric bike nor have i been to their shop before, but they treated me just like another regular customer. the guy also did a once over my whole bike and told me the most important parts that i should think of replacing. great service, very happy :)

My wife and I researched where was the best place to buy our ebikes and who offered the best service. The Hornsby store had rave reviews so we visited the store and were very impressed by the knowledge and great customer service that Dave provided! I just purchased an eBike from Dave at SEB Hornsby Store. He is friendly and helpful. His professional knowledge about various eBikes in the store is extremely impressive. I told him my budget and Dave recommended a few eBikes for me to text ride. Finally I decided on Merida Espresso 700. building my first ebike, I was frustrated desperate for a tool and was too impatient to wait for delivery so I got through to Dave via SMS. When asked they didn't have the tool I needed in stock, eventually, they did me a solid and sold me a used one from their workshop to allow me to continue with my ebike build. The staff are kind and give good advice.

I couldn't be happier with the service I got from Dave and the team at SEB Hornsby. I had initially bought the Smartmotion e-city and I realised after a ride at home that it wasn't quite right for me. I messaged SEB and they recommended some alternatives. After a few test rides, I bought the Smartmotion e-20 and it's perfect for me.

I bought my electric trike from this place. Highly recommended in terms of customer service. For any issue or suggestion I text the owner and he responds in a short time. Once he even sent a person to my home for a quick fix, given it is a trike and sending it to the shop was not easy. Overall very reliable and strongly recommended.

Very happy with the service I received here. I needed a spoke replacing and it was done inexpensively and promptly. Easy access from Hornsby station and close to Westfield for a coffee while you wait. Excellent range of bike accessories and passionate about Electric Bikes.
