"One of the largest asian supermarkets in Ottawa"
They have items we want in stock most often, but not exactly what we want. Like the brand/type of something is inconsistent, but you can always get filipino soup mix, kimchi, dim sum, fresh seafood, squid jerky and fish balls. Two things I always look for are Jongga Kimchi and TnT brand Red Bean Pancakes. The store runs out of certain items, but it seems like instead of ordering based on what is popular, they just get crates of whatever. This means 1/3 of the times I go they have the kimchi or pancakes, and instead the shelf is FULL of the stuff nobody really is buying; like green onion pancake or cheap watery kimchi. Then again, I cant really complain because this is the only place that sells certain items. Now the 5 star rating: the sushi is fire. Buffet food is fire. Its like a cheap cafeteria with a chef and full catering.
Huge selection of meats, produce, snacks etc for both the average household and for specific ethnic foods. I love that there's such a large selection and the store is fairly well organized. 10/10 on social distancing protocols and considerate/helpful employees. I just went last night to grab a few small things and ended up spending $160 ♂️ it was really hard not to buy all the nostalgic things I use to eat as a child or that I missed eating when visiting different parts of Asia. Only gripe is some of the pricing is super steep, but that's pretty normal given all the import duties and long shipping distances. I hope asian cuisine will get more popular and we'll be able to leverage better shipping rates so that at least our asian grocer prices can match Torontonian T&Ts
Excellent supermarket , very important same employees they didn't speak English very well when somebody ask a question or somebody need help for product,? ? Thank you very much to the owner of the property, as well as the workers in this place. I always buy goods from this place. We hope the restaurant section, especially the tables and chairs, must be clean in a permanent way. After the customers leave the place, the place must be cleaned in a continuous manner in order to maintain cleanliness.? Prices must be reduced. Many customers did not return because of the high prices. Customers must be taken care of, especially prices when they are high. Customers did not return to this place.
This was my first time at T&T. I went with a Vietnamese international student so she could find some familiar foods. She only found a few. The place is like an enjoyable visit abroad mostly because of the fruits and vegetables. I hated that we have to put a $1.in a cart to unlock it. A kind stranger gave me $1. Meat and fish have good prices but if there is anything you can buy elsewhere (coconut milk for example) it will be more expensive so go there for unique products like great variety of mushrooms, barley tea, fish, shrimp, meat and great dumplings. We weren't too fond of the take-out, it was too greasy. Stick with their sushi
One of the largest asian supermarkets in Ottawa. T&T is my go to place for asian ingredients and snacks because it’s clean and well organized. They’re usually not busy during weekdays and on weekends the lines aren’t too long either. Lots of options and fun things to try and they have seafood you wouldn’t find at most Canadian supermarkets. They also have some hot and cold food, made in store. I’d stay away from these and just order good takeout though. I’ve tried many of their dishes and have been overall disappointed. Also don’t get their sushi because usually the rice is super dry :’(
I absolutely love T&T, such a large variety! The bakery section is definitely one of my favorite, so many options of freshly baked goods! Also a great place to buy sushi, as they are super good and more affordable than in other supermarkets. The only reason why I didn't give 5 stars is because there could be a better ventilation system, in the summer there's a pretty strong smell in the whole store because of the fish section. Other than that, one of my favorite grocery store!
Good shopping of Japanese Chinese Korean grocery.I visited often to this place .You will get deserts breads n much more amazing things.Fruits n Veggies are fresh.I love japanese chocolates so I get lot of variety there like matcha choco pies,Meiji chocolate,….The mango deserts are so so delicious and freshly made. If you are fond of Japanese Korean Chinese grocery ..MUST look this place …You will definitely love.I adore T&T❤️
This is one of the best stores for fish and sea food. Great selection of Asian food and probably the best take away sushi you can buy. The place is usually v busy but checkout is efficient and I am always find a parking spot. Don't forget you 1$ coin (refundable) that you will need it for the basket. The only downside I found was the application and at the same their membership card. Often, it doesn't function properly.
Lots of Moon Cakes now for Moon Festival! … This is the spot to go for Chinese groceries in Ottawa. It’s next to the Ottawa airport and has a eating area with dim sum, sushi, roast duck/pork/squid and a variety of Chinese dishes. They also have a bakery with yummy Portuguese egg tarts, live seafoods and pretty much everything else Asian related. I bought this double sided hotpot 9 years ago and it still works great.
Pricey but beggars can't be choosers. When it gets busy you get some choice products. There really isn't much competition on their hands. There's a nice little area to eat food and they have decent priced meals and make your own lunch/meals there. Lunches can get extremely busy. It's good that this place is available in this area. Try to eat the food fresh as possible.
Lots of option to buy from. The store is big comparing to other Chinese Supermarkets I have visited in another cities. Some stuff are way cheaper in your local market. Fresh fish in reasonable pricing. Parking was tight, which could be due to busy weekend. Also, take a 1$ coin with you cuz you need it for the cart.Funny that this still exists!!
One of my favourite places to visit! Do not be in a rush, read the labels. It smells so good when you first walk in, to any fish you could ask for at the back. I go for the mousse cakes and spend so much time looking at the art work. Enjoy and have fun, grab something new, their sushi is really awesome too. Amazing place.
Tons of selection and made to order items, not to mention how good the whole place smells. We will need a few trips to map out this pretty large market. Note, you'll need a loonie if you want a full cart, but they have baskets with wheels that are pretty large, free to use and easier to navigate if the place is busy.
I go here infrequently but when I do there are some good finds! I went to the bakery and got a strawberry mousse cake that tasted really good and light. The best part was this box they put it in. It was cardboard, with a top handle and came with a half knife/ server, a little happy birthday decoration and a candle!
Best place in town for asian groceries. Always have a great rotating selection so there is always something new to try and the classics are always around when you need them. A trip to T&T is always a good time whether you are doing a larger trip or just popping in for lunch at their hot table or sushi bar.
Great experience. The staff are very friendly and patient, all very willing to help. The location is not too big but it has a good variety of products and everything is organised neatly. Has some very nice sections such as bakery and hot food area. Would visit again and highly recommend to others.
As a white Canadian guy, it's pretty cool shopping here, it's like walking into a little slice of Asia, feels like a movie. Everything is priced well except for the junk food imported from various parts of Asia, but it's worth it getting to try flavours of chips that don't exist here. Love it.
This store has many Asian items that we come to shop for. They have a nice little area to pick up hot food to go that is based by weight. We also buy different cakes for many occasions like birthdays and always been left satisfied. Ample parking and usually quick when it comes to checking out.
The prices are a little overpriced but the selections are good. I usually go here for my Japanese and Chinese sauces and ingredients. The hot food section and the bakery section are also good but their selections seem to run out quick so try to get there earlier on the weekends.
I absolutely love shopping here. If you're looking to broaden your cooking this is the place to go. Tips: Don't go around dinner time if u want to look around. And you DO want to look around. The service is pretty good and the food is consistently good. Best buns ever!!
Best place in Ottawa to shop for Chinese groceries, as well as Taiwanese foods and drinks. Large variety of ready to serve cooked foods, including sushi and BBQ. Their hot desserts are amazing. Great produce. And don’t miss their bakery, especially the egg tarts.
The store often feels crowded, making it a bit stifling. While prices tend to be higher than T&Ts in Toronto, they occasionally have sales that can rival Costco prices. Parking is consistently tight, given that it's the sole Asian grocery store in the vicinity.
Snacks, bread, meat, veggies, and everything you would want for your lunches. Wow. You can also buy groceries if you find being a functional adult a lifestyle rather than an unrequited dream. All this and more within grasp of a beautiful, heated, sliding door.
Bigger, more variety and much less crowded than the Montreal location. Prices would be cheaper at your local Asian grocery, but it's a good one-stop shop for all your Asian staples. Dimsum, cooked kitchen items and bakery available. Parking friendly.
T&T is fantastic, as is the bubble tea shop conveniently placed near the exit - impossible to resist! So many interesting products here that are hard to find elsewhere. I just wish the location was easier to access by bike or public transportation.
Sometime we humans get an unpleasant condition called difficulty to bowel movement, medically speaking, or more simple English , constipation . There are many remedies available on the market, mostly natural ones some work some don’t. From
The biggest selection of asian food and groceries you can find in Ottawa. From sauces and fresh fish to exotic fruits and vegetables, they are all here. The cooked foods are either by weight but they are or by meal sets but they are always
Take your time, because the aisles are tight. But it is worth crawling through the place for the diversity of options, from sushi, BBQ, steamed buns, to kimchi, cooking wine, fancy rice and meat cuts you'd have trouble finding elsewhere.
Cashiers have always been well trained, courteous and helpful, butchers and those behind the fish and seafood counters as well. That said, their green shopping baskets seldom gotten cleaned since the early pandemic years. Annoyingly, I
Iam always fond of T&T since it opens, but as the years goes by. It seems that they are more expensive than the smaller Asian store like Kowloon or Green fresh. I was there yesterday and I Find that all of their products are expensive!
The smell of fish is everywhere. We picked up some chicken and pork from the hot bar and it tasted like fish oil was added to everything. I choked it all down though because I am too cheap to toss it. Lol. Great photo opps tho.
Delicious ready made meals. Plus the biggest variety of food stuff anywhere in Ottawa. Fresh fruits, vegetables, meats and fish, frozen products, dried products, etc. If you are looking for Asian ingredients they have it.
Got the duck noodle soup at the food counter today. It was very satisfying and will curb any noodle cravings! For Ottawa standards it's pretty good! But if you were to compare to Toronto standards, well it's okay.
Great selection of different fruit and veg at a decent price. I also like to visit the sushi counter and prepared foods. The only downside to this location is the nightmare parking lot with super small spaces.
Nice and clean Asian grocery stores in Ottawa. They have hot food section and a bakery section. Vegetables are fresh and plenty of choices. There are self check out registers for less than 10 items purchase.
Opened late, isles upon isles of stuff you won’t find elsewhere. A whole section for teas. It was clean and organized. The produce section consisted of fresh fruits/vegetables, prices were a little high.
The one and only. If you like snacks, frozen goodies, or have never been to a Chinese supermarket, prepare yourself to spend at least an hour browsing all the new things you've never seen.
It has all your typical Asian grocery needs! The meats are of better quality then some of the other Chinese grocers however sometimes the veggies are not as fresh as it should.
First time here. Cool place with lots of food diversity. The price of local milk and eggs are much higher, but the exported food is much cheaper than your local grocery store.
We are always enjoying shopping at this great store, rich in Asia food selections, well organized and very clean. The staff are friendly and helpful. Highly recommended!
Great service around. I can’t remember the name Of the employee that helped me, but she was small short brown hair. She gave amazing customer service.
Overall one of my favorite grocery! You can find anything you want especially seafood! But the fresh cream cake that I bought was absolutely terrible
Always have a lot of diversity of foods and candies from all around Asia, the best sushi ive had from a supermarket was from there. Higly recommend
ETA: They carry the viral brand Corsx in their beauty section. We enjoy going here mainly because it is the only decent Asian store in Ottawa.
Great place to shop for Filipino food and ingredients. Plus many other Asian/Spanish ingredients! Fresh seafood and meats as well as bakery!
Pretty expensive prices. Pretty convenient with cooked food section. However food quality is somewhat terrible as it is very oily and salty.
More than a wonderful place. There are a lot of beautiful things, fresh food and vegetables, fresh and frozen fish, fresh baked goods,
Lots to choose from and everything was well organized. I was happy to find quite a few Korean foods like rice cakes and fish cakes.
Great place to buy asian groceries. Very big with lots of variet. I especially loved their selection of freshly made bakery items.
