From the moment I stepped into Whole Foods, I was greeted by a delightful array of fresh, organic produce that seemed to stretch on endlessly. The vibrant colors and fresh aromas were a feast for the senses. Each aisle I wandered down offered an impressive selection of high-quality, natural, and organic foods that cater to a wide range of dietary needs and preferences. What really sets Whole Foods apart is their commitment to sustainable and ethical practices. It's evident in their carefully curated products, from eco-friendly household items to responsibly sourced meats and seafood. The store's layout is intuitive and shopper-friendly, making my shopping experience both efficient and enjoyable. The staff at Whole Foods are another highlight. Knowledgeable, friendly, and always willing to help, they truly understand the importance of customer service. Whether it's recommending a new product or helping locate a hard-to-find ingredient, their expertise and enthusiasm enhance the overall shopping experience. The prepared food section deserves a special mention. It's a treasure trove of delicious, healthy options perfect for a quick lunch or a hassle-free dinner. Their bakery, with its array of breads, pastries, and cakes, is a must-visit for anyone with a sweet tooth. In summary, Whole Foods is more than just a grocery store; it's a destination for anyone who values quality, variety, and a shopping experience that goes above and beyond. Whether you're a health-conscious foodie or just looking for top-notch products, Whole Foods is definitely worth the visit. 5 stars well-deserved!
Whole Foods grocery store provides lots of selection of organic and fresh produce at a slightly higher price. But with that price I believe there is better quality. There is a wide selection of "ready to eat meals" and food bars to make convenient quick food selections. They also promote local farmers stock on their shelves, which I like. I found the store layout confusing. For example, there are several different brands and sizes of bottled drinking water scattered throughout the store and isles. There are also other similar in store products also equally dispersed, such as; ready to serve meals and fresh fruit/ natural juice drinks. This added time for me to search for what I wanted and made it more difficult to comparison shop to determine which one I wanted to purchase. However, it didn't stop me from shopping, but because I was mindful of the time limits in free paid parking it did impact how much I purchased. At this location there is 1.5 hours of free redeemable underground parking under the stadium. Just present the parking ticket at checkout and the free time will be added to the parking ticket. Then when leaving the elevator in the parking lot area there is a parking kiosk to validate the parking. Insert your card at the kiosk and then again at the exit gate, then you are good to go. This system was simple and does work well. If you like my reviews, photos or videos give them a whole thumbs up
I had a very disappointed experience today with Whole Foods meal today. I ordered a taco lunch today. A pack of 3 chicken tacos would be$10, and a pack of 3 steak tacos would be $11. I asked the gentleman if I would be able to mix and match, he went and asked his colleague who said yes, so I ordered a order of 2 chicken and 1 steak tacos fully aware that I would need to pay something between $10-$11. After he prepared my meal, he printed three stickers and charge me three at individual price total of $4+$4+$4.25=$12.25. I did pointed out the combo price would be cheaper, and he could even charge me for a pack of three steak ones that would still be $11. Then he said as I ordered different, he needed to charge separately. Disappointed but I did not want to further complain. He prepared the tacos by just putting the cold taco shells from the fridge in the takeout box and loading the ingredients inside. The ingredients were totally fine and tasty. But the taco shells, they were cold and fell apart as soon I picked each one up. The shell was not reasonably tasted at all. With both of the above reasons, I am totally disappointed with my meal today. This is not a standard I would expect from Whole Foods and I definitely won't have tacos there in the future.
This is a great store, love the variety of products you can't find anywhere in Ottawa. I went in today approached the deli counter, and asked for some sliced cheese. The employer told me it was closed for service?! It was 2:30pm. The store is open till 9:00pm! She then told me that the sliced packages were the only ones for sale in the cooler. I have never heard of a such inconvenient procedure. Asked to speak to a Manager, took them awhile to find someone which is surprising when you are extremely busy with events at Lansdowne. The (person in charge?) who came to me then proceeded to tell me that with the decision of customer service employees and the deli employees they close the deli because of shift changeover, and minimal staff in the evening? ( at least that's what I understood) A deli counter in the afternoon everywhere in Ottawa is open all day during business hours, and that's where I will go to from now on. I do not enjoy giving negative reviews, and I really like this store however I left very disappointed, and confused! I could easily have gone to Metro. ( where I will go now) I have over 25 years in customer service experience so perhaps put a sign on your deli counter stating hours of operation. Which is ridiculous as well!
this is probably the most integrated eco-friendly convenience store in Ottawa. it offers various produces, mostly locals. if you crave for organic produces and everything organic, this is the place. anything you imagine, you will likely find it here, from artisanal bread, cheese, fresh produce, juices, farm produce, pastas, soap bars and even clothing (limited). they also have large seating area, as thinatorw also sells ready made (healthy) food, from salad, pasta to sushi. their water fountain is excellent. the cleanliness is superb. their bar table has usb charging spot (leave your bulky power brick behind). they have long table for big groups, and also separated tables for four. if you park undergeound, ask for free parking. you might find it handy and helpful. price wise ... well, since most are local and organic, so a bit pricey. fyi: they have allegro cafe downatairs by the elevators ... love their mint tea ...
I was going to this store for 2 years(and spent hundreds and hundreds of dollars)today it's going to end. I was approached by the store manager( who didn't even introduced himself ), he interapted a pleasant conversation I was having my friend in order to get me out of the store, because of my little doggy in my backpack. The interaction w him was extremely unpleasant . He became aggressive, verbally abusive, throwing racist remarks(for me being a white women), mocking me in a front of his team and other clients. Needless to say, I left the store traumatized w my little my doggy. It's not the dog policy that upsets me, it's the approach w no professionalism, no regard for a loyal customer, no basic respect for another human being. By the way, a lot of good employees already left this store, in 2 years I've seen a big turnover now I see why they left
I waited for 10 minutes to be served before walking away. 8 employees cutting vegetables staired at me as I waited. Meanwhile another employee was standing around spraying the seats in the cafeteria. There is GMO canola oil everywhere, salt with aluminum silcate and non organic dextrose is served in the restaurant. Great wholesome food products have been pushed off the shelves to make way for more Profit. Becareful what ends up in your cart, this store is nowhere near what it used to be. GRAS additives are disguised throughout. Honest branding would see this store renamed as GRASfoods. Colossal management failure at the corporate, regional and local levels. I'm sure the executive bonuses will be good this quarter.
I love coming here to find new drinks and snacks that you can't find elsewhere in Ottawa, or that you can but not in as vast of the selection that Whole Foods offers. The store is generally well-kept and organized. I so appreciate that they have a washroom available to customers, even if they haven't bought anything. I usually come here for the hotbar foods, but ever since the pandemic they've packaged the food into individual portions so that it's more sanitary, which is appreciated. Of course, my only feedback is the pricing can be steep, especially for the food that is priced by weight, but I can appreciate it for the freshness and local ingredients that come with it.
Summer 2023 Staff is friendly. Great selection of food. Veggies and fruits are very fresh. They carry many brands that you can't find in other stores. The price tag is high so you have to know what is worth buying and what is not. Two things I find unfortunate and strange. One. You can't buy freshly cut cutcolds from the deli counter (unheard of in all my years of grocery shopping). Two. They do not honor deposits paid on older glass bottles and jars purchased at Whole Foods - leaving the customer stuck with empties they paid a deposit for.
If I could only shop at one store, it would be this one. Whole foods had humble beginnings, and despite their tremendous success, they have stayed true to their values. Yes the prices are generally higher than a conventional grocery store, but the quality and variety of REAL food makes it worth every dime. Finally queuing for the cash is usually the most stressful and tedious part of doing groceries, but somehow that isn't the case here. Maybe it's the friendly staff or maybe it's laid back west coast feel the store has.
I really enjoy Whole Foods due to its wide selection of organic foods and products to meet specific dietary requirements. This Whole Foods is always clean and the staff is always very nice and helpful. Underground parking with validation is a nice perk, especially in the winter. The only downside to this store is that it doesn’t have the same breadth of products as other Whole Foods, and it rarely has the more healthy pre-made chicken/veggie meals available at other whole foods, but rather ones made with gluten.
They've really improved where they're sourcing their meat and the food quality is quite good. The cost thought is a little high, sometimes excessively. Especially when it doesn't to the 'conventional' non organic foods they sell. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Offering advice when you need it. The store is clean and easy to get to. Even has free parking with nominal purchase. I would go back but just for the fresh fish, meat. You can find comparable fruit and veggies for less money elsewhere.
Whole Foods Market Ottawa has the most exceptional customer service! I asked them to cater our wedding and another event (today) and they were an absolute delight to work with. I am incredibly grateful for their eagerness to help me out. The food was absolutely delicious and the catering staff went above and beyond my expectations. I cannot thank them enough for all of their assistance! If you ever need any catering done for your events, I highly suggest you use Whole Foods Market Ottawa.
I have a small service dog and I was told by Meagi the ''Superviser'' to leave the store immediately. Apparently they don't accept Service dog at their store. I offered to show her my medical lettre and she refuse to hear anything about it. She rudely kept saying that I needed to leave the store. I never experience that anywhere else. A few customers came to ask if I was ok. She must be intellectually challenged to be acting this way on 2023.
I occasionally visit this place for their delectable desserts, fresh bread, and, of course, their mouthwatering pizzas! While it's not the most budget-friendly option, the quality and taste are definitely worth it. What's particularly exciting is their extensive array of seasonal treats, especially during the Christmas season. I can't wait to savor the new items they have in store!
Crazy expensive for a lot of things. No wonder Jeff Bezos bought it I would have done the same thing. Good selection, good quality products. Lots of good takeaway items including fresh made pizzas, salads, other items. Lots of organic stuff but also lots of just regular stuff that isn't organic but higher in price than other places. Good selection of cheese good selection of fish.
Spacious store. Good quality products consistent with the Whole Foods image. Some things are not particularly expensive. Most of the staff are pleasant, though some seem rather indifferent. If you are looking for more specialty things, this could be a good store. They do carry a lot of top quality products. For more mundane day to day items, I think there are better choices.
I love shopping for groceries at this store - the selection of produce is top notch. Also the prices for many of my staples are far lower than Loblaws (eg %2 Nordica cottage cheese $1.50 cheaper). The bread selection is also great with far less expensive options than the bakeries I otherwise frequent. They also have great sales, no having to load offers or buy multi!
I ordered Pizza for the first time in a long while and it was really disappointing. I've had it before and loved it. This time, however, the crust was so tough! The good news is that my green bin gets picked up today so the pizza won't be in my fridge reminding me of the money I wasted. Despite the pizza fiasco, I'd recommend this store to my friends and family
Great selection of organic and healthy foods. However, prices for most products are significantly higher than at big chains like Loblaws and Metro. For example, a box of 6 Beyond Burgers (plant-based patties) is 4$ more than at Loblaws. We don't shop here regularly, only when we need a product that is not available elsewhere.
A great place to go for all your groceries. They have very fresh fruit and vegetables as well as a nice fish counter, hot food and a large eating area which is the top right side of the building with lots of windows. If you park underground you can get your ticket validated. They also get great cheesecake here!!
Honestly I don't know why I've never been here before. Went in last night to check it out. Wow! The have all the things I've been looking for that I couldn't find at other stores. And the produce is unreal. Prices aren't too bad either, but get some stuff on sale if you can. Will definitely be going back!!
Don't visit this store for good prices. Visit for the variety, quality and the Whole Foods experience. They carry a lot of products and brands that you won't find at the regular stores. Also, their staff and service is top notch. They have a seating area where you can eat what you just purchased.
i love whole foods so much. i’m so angry we don’t have one in halifax, but every time i’m in ottawa i make sure to visit. as a vegetarian, it is so great to have a grocery store with so many options! i am also so happy they have their dine in back! i love love love their buffet style meals.
Great food, but you will certainly pay the price. Also has unique selection which you can find anywhere else. Owned by Amazon and ultimately is a pawn in Jeff Bezos' plan for world Domination, so only go if you really need to Great prepared food, hot and salad bar when it's not covid.
Standing in line for over 15 minutes. Three cashiers and every single one of them was moving in actual slow motion. I can put up with high prices, but I will not put up with my time being wasted. I was not the only one who abandoned their carts due to how slow these cashiers were moving.
My first time at Whole Foods, and the experience was amazing. The store is pretty huge with whole range of food selection. The shelves are well stocked, isles are spacious so you can walk around comfortably. The customer service was excellent, and so was the checkout experience.
Good location near Farmer's Market and other stores and restaurants. Plenty if parking that is free if you get ticket validated with purchase. Good selection of items, clean, friendly staff. Prices on many items high, but that's the case with a lot of natural food choices.
I love this store, amazing quality meats and produce… however this week I bought these wraps (on October 26) and found they had mold on them 2 days before their best before date. Was my first time buying them, so not sure if it’s a common issue, but pretty disappointing.
Stopped by to pick up Ham for Easter. The gentlemen in the Meat department was very helpful and provìded good information. I picked up a lovely Honey Ham. It was not cheap but of good quality and delicious. If you are looking for quality options this is the place to go.
It can be a bit expensive, but every product is pretty much top-of-the-line as far as quality goes. Just keep an eye out for sales. The atmosphere is inviting, the store is very clean, and the staff are friendly. There's so many options and different brands to explore!
Whole Foods is a really eco-friendly supermarket and you won't find a more friendly shopping experience. They have a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The organic and ethical options for seafood and meats is exceptional. The staff is phenomenal.
A bit pricier than some other groceries, still has all the essentials and caters to the more organic and alternative choices people may have. On the second floor through an escalator or elevator, the bottom has their own café area you can also sit in.
Stopped here for a few groceries and ended up grabbing supper from their takeout dinner options. This was my first time grabbing something from their dinner entree and sides. Great selection and great value for the price. Definitely doing this again.
Very small Whole Foods. I am glad they had many of the options that we are used to, but I had to give them only 4 stars because their hot bar/prepared breakfast options were lacking and we had to go the grill next door to get an adequate breakfast.
Great place to buy groceries. Super clean store with a lot of different types of products. The store is on the first floor, elevator access to the parking lot. COVID-19 safety measures in place. Bit expensive compared to the other grocery stores.
Love the setup and vibe of this store. Great spots to sit down for a coffee near the entrance or upstairs opposite the cashiers. There's even a water fountain. The ladies'washroom is clean; it is at the corner opposite to the cash registers.
This store serves very pricey helpings of their social justice. This store makes it easier to fast with just one cruise down their isles. The hot food bar is mediocre and not worth the trouble. I purchased a little bit of basmati rice (not
So we’re a big fan of Whole Foods but lately, we feel like the quality and choices are not as good and before. The prices are a bit better. The produce section lacks variety and specialty foods. The service however is always very good and
We visit from time-to-time as they have some products that cannot be found anywhere else, such as special flour types. The selection of natural products is always something that we appreciate. Produce and baked goods are plentiful. They
What a beautiful urban luxury! This is an amazing store. The aisles are nice and wide, easily accessible and filled with gorgeous delites. Organic, fresh, gluten free, vegan, vegetarian, whatever you need is there. Happy shopping …
Feel like buying the same food you can get elsewhere for twice the price? This is the spot for you! Everything is marked up, and most of the products are available elsewhere for less. Organic? Sure, much of it. But you can get that
I would give the store a five star if it wasn’t for the prices. Overall an amazing store with great staff and products but there are honestly many other supermarkets in the area with some of the same products that cost a lot less,
Best looking, overpriced produce you’ll find in town. Everything is well organised and clean, and the bakery and food bars have a amazing variety of food. From vegetarian, vegan to gluten free options. You’ll be spoilt for choice.
Office worker here. Popped in during lunch break for a quick manicure and was impressed by their efficient service. Great range of nail colors, friendly staff, and comfortable environment. A perfect place for a mid-day pampering.
I remember looking forward to Whole foods coming to town. I had been to a few of their stores on trips here and there so I knew the prices would be on the high side (some absurd, see $8 Terra chips in circa-the-year-they-opened
Nice grocery where you can get some fancy food. But it can be very expensive, that is the reason I gave it 4 stars. Millenials and Gen Z call it Whole Wallet because it can take all your money because of their high prices.
Really nice grocery store. The ready to eat bar is really delicious with a nice selection. The eating area is nicely separated from the rest of the store so you can eat and chill out and forget you're in a grocery store.
The best foods market ever in Ontario with many reasons. Variety of organic goods. Mini hot buffet and setting area. Environment is Extremely clean and friendly staff. As a occasional customer, I strongly recommend it .
The Disneyland of food shopping with an amazing variety from around the world AND excellent services. Oh the prices are within reason and sale items are very tempting. Recommend this amazing shopping experience.
Crazy expensive prices but a convenient location. Would never shop there regularly but to grab something here and there or if you can't find what you are looking for anywhere else, it is fine. Cool atmosphere
You need to watch the series of South Park episodes that poke fun at Wholefoods. So good. That aside, this store has tons of great food choices though it might be on the more expensive side for some people.
This is the ideal place for specialty ingredients, local, natural and vegan hygiene products like shampoos and laundry detergents, that are frequently on sale and possibly cheaper than everywhere else.
A few weird things have laughable prices, but overall the quality and variety are very good. They also have some of the least annoying self-checkout machines. No partial foods for this patron. 4/4.
Lots of products, excellent variety, and pleasant staff, but the buffet is overpriced. Having a meal there can be more expensive than having it at a very good restaurant. Excellent refund policy.
Nice and spacious. Wide variety of food selections, mostly vegetarian/ vegan but still has meat. The workers are friendly and welcoming. I go there very often. I would definitely visit soon!
Great produce, cheese and fish. The 365 brand is substandard from the sample size I have experienced. The bulk section has been cut in half, which I don't enjoy.
Whole Foods is a natural and biological grocery store in Ottawa Ontario.Prices are somewhat reasonable a bit expensive compare to the one I go to in Montreal .
Like most people I'm often conflicted about Whole Foods but the quality is high (yes, prices too) and I certainly find it a nice atmosphere with good staff.
It's a well organized store with good variety. However, it is overly expensive... approximately 30% above other stores for some items. Not worth it for me.
Live the unique gifts and items you can buy. Gluten free products available. Fresh fruits and veg, a good breast for lunch on site. Reasonable prices
you can find a real good quality products. Organics, fresh fruits and vegetables. High quality products and good variety of products
Simply the best shopping experience in the city as it is in Landsdown Park. Everything you could want is there. A must for everyone.
LOVE THIS PLACE but it is expensive. I normally get my suplements here or the Herb & Spice. Everyone is so nice and helpfull.
Good place to go for all natural products. But expect to pay the price for it. Love their chocolate peanutbutter machine!
Everything is always fresh, the veggies are organic. The store is always neat and tidy. Staff are friendly and cheerful
The pizza very tasty and burritos and tacos delicious!!! Good quality of flowers, and soap and bath oils and stuff..
Customer service is above par. One of the best grocery store for vegan foods. A bit pricier than the average though.
Love that they have a large selection of vegan options for my sister. Staff are always pleasant and helpful.
Great place where to eat and get groceries! I am giving the 3 stars because the bakery section is terrible!
I like to buy eggs here. The yolks of the eggs sold here are yellower and taste more fragrant.
Expensive... Cafe was dirty and with flies.. sticky tables... Just branding no content
I love the scones made here. Not too sweet and very good prices
I love Whole Foods, especially for a quick yet healthy lunch
Great place, great selection, beautiful store.
Clean, pleasant environment but a bit pricey
A good place for fresh food. Staff is OK
