I graduated from T.D Baker around three years ago now, I’m currently in my last year of High School at J. Percy Page. A couple members of the staff are hated on too harshly, like Mr. Suess who worked there when I attended, I had met him before because my older brother attended Baker as well, he was strict but he was a great teacher. However, Mr. Perkins was a different story, I had him for two years, one year was Science and one year was Social Studies, he would start teaching then go on to rant about personal life stories and about his friends, and then he’d assign us homework, and become very agitated when we didn’t complete it, which was partially his fault to begin with. There was something a little off about him in general, I might’ve over reacted but I can’t be sure. In my three years of attending T.D Baker, I had heard multiple accounts of people having similar issues to what I had with him. However, this is meant in no way possible to slander or ruin his career, just what I’ve experienced with him. Most of the staff that I had got to study under were wonderful to work with and I enjoyed my three years at Baker. It is a fantastic school, though their dress code was sexist and prejudiced when I went to school there. We had the two finger width rule, no midriff could be shown, our bra straps couldn’t show, and this last one specifically wasn’t all that terrible, skirts and shorts had to at least reach our finger tips, though most teachers shouldn’t pay too close attention to the dressings of students more specifically female students, we also had to have zero gang and substance related memorabilia, which is, of course, understandable. When I went to school, we had gender-neutral bathrooms, though in my last year, I heard something about them being changed back to girls and boys bathroom, though I’m not sure if that is true. The ladies in the office are almost always welcoming and warm and willing to help. The library has a great book selection available for anyone who wants to read. Other than a some of my points above, T.D Baker is a fantastic school, and it’s a very good school for you and your kids.

The teachers in this school have alot of partiality issues. For example, there are alot of kids who are smart and academically intellegent but as they say, "first impression is last impression." All teachers are like this, the kids who got high marks are the only kids they look at even if you handin really good work. The "intellegent" kids only get high marks because the teachers think they're the only kids who are smart. They even think that since these kids excel in school work, they excel in everything. For example, those intellegent kids got chosen for the best student character and role model in school. Everyone is helpful but the teachers only have smart kids in their mind. Everyone deserves the same respect. So, my opinion please don't select this school for your better future. Regards

I was bullied by like 5-6 people in my homeroom (and your homeroom students are in all your classes for all 3 years) and not a single teacher lifted a finger to help. I even cried once and the teacher of the classroom just ignored it. The closest I got to a teacher helping was a substitute teacher. In fact, many teachers placed me BESIDE my school bullies in desk seating's. This was around 2012-2015. Yes, there were good aspects to the school, but i'm giving it 1 stars for its lack of action on bullies, i grew up with confidence problems due to having to go through 3 years, 5 days a week, 8 hours per day having to deal with 5-6 people picking on me/bullying me.

A great school with a variety of options to choose from, both Teachers and staff are quite helpful and willing to help whenever you need it. If there was a negative thing about this school are the grade 9's who bully and act as if they are edgy teenagers. I witnessed this first hand with my friend as a bunch of grade 9's walk up to us and say "HEY KIDS WANT SOME DRUGS" now they did have a tic tac container, but idk what was in that. They Constantly shout in the hallways to get attention, but other than that great school

Without Prejudice: Not a safe school. It's been about a month and already there were two incidents of knives being pulled on my grandson. Also a lack of supervision is an issue. Due to this an event happened that never should have happened and my grandson is not believed. Terrible experience with this school and a great disappointment.

A school is a school and teachers are teachers, keep it as Simple as it is. It is a place to learn and gather knowledge, not to be criticized as good or bad. If you “ feel” some thing is not to ur liking don’t take it. Collect only positives. Teachers are always “Respectable” and schools are always “ temples of knowledge”.

Just wanted to say that Mr. Christenson is the GOAT. Always get his class slurpees at the end of the year out of his own pocket and wanted to make sure he knows we appreciate it.

  • Abhay Samra

Mr.Suess is quite strict and gets mad at kids for really silly and dumb things like drinking water in dawg block but overall he is ok and the school is great!
