Unfortunately, this store seems to have a prejudice against Asians. I just felt very sad. When I asked a clerk if he had any small shoes, he first ignored me and then quietly told me to look for them myself. Shortly after, a white woman asked him to find another outfit, to which he replied with a smile and went to find one. I asked him why did you ignore me and only answer her. He ignored me again and just called another clerk. Another female clerk said that his behaviors were generally good and that he might not intentionally ignore me. She also said he might have been busy or he couldn't understand your English. However, his usual good behavior at the store doesn't deny his behavior toward me and the strong possibility that he was a RACIST. Was he just busy? I don't think so. He said to me to find it by himself. I would say, it is inappropriate to blame it on my English. I was so shocked. In the end, because I had already chosen the item, so I bought 135 pounds at this store, and this £135 was the most wasted money in my life and I just regret wasting money. I hope the staff treats other races, including Asians, equally.
All asian should nit vusit this store !! A racist staff is working and manager cover it ! Yesterday I visit this branch and tried clothes at fitting room . The staff a african woman yelled on me hang the clothes back by yourself. it was agressive but I tried to to think positive.Ok she is bus. Then I hung the clothes back. But when I turn back I saw she is take clothes back from all white customer's clothes and organize with hhng back . So , I stopped at there and super busy to Asian customer. She tooke clothes from four white women it showed me she wasn't super busy enough to yelling on customer. so I took her pic first and started to talk to manager . But the floor manage she kept insist it was only because that staff was busy. so I asked her is that staff only busy when she get asian customer ? Ok I understand she couldn't accept her staff is racist. But her behavior was also arrogant and not the nice way. I used come tkmaxx Germany often and never had thoese terrible experience. If you don't wamt to repect asian put the "No asian" sign on the door .
I was just there and wanted to try the clothes on and show it to my family. As I was going in, there was a cleaning MAN inside the females section of the fitting room..the lady at the fitting room refused for my family to come and see me as they are men! She asked me to go out! I am a covered girl and cant let everyone see me. Went down to speak to the manager and she was trying to accommodate us, however, a white male staff member chimed in while we were talking to the manager and started telling us that its not allowed for men to be there but its okay for a MALE cleaner! He said "its not comfortable for the majority" so my comfort as a minority is not valid?! I told him if thats the case then i am not comfortable with a male cleaner being there while i try my clothes on! He was racist, not polite and walk away while we were talking.
Refused to return a faulty item, which I only noticed when I got home. Manager Said it can only be returned at the original TKMaxx store brought from when it says nothing about this on their return policy. Told me the original store would be checking their cctv of me buying this product to make sure that I had brought it already broken and that don’t worry they have very good and clear cctv! I have never heard of this whilst having to return an item in any kind of store before. I was told it was brought at a homesense store. It was not it was a very clear TKMaXX receipt. If it is right that items from a particular store can only be returned at the same store then this needs to stated very VERY on the return policy and on the receipt! Not made up my staff at Covent Garden when ever they don’t want to take in a faulty item.

We were shopping along with our baby daughter. My wife was shopping and i had to stay with my daughter who was in stroller. I sat on steps on the height of stroller. Without blocking any way. The guy standing rudely asked to not sit. I told him politely that my wife is shopping. He could even see the cart with items and i have to stay along the baby. He said you cant sit in the store. We had walked 15 mins in rain to reach here. If there is no seating, at least educate your staff to be accommodating. This is not even a busy hour. Very few customers and most of the staff is free. Still there is focus is to make shopping experience inconvenient for the customers.
The store is very packed, I have been to many TKMaxx stores before and this one just feels sort of like a charity shop, very packed, clothes is everywhere no space to walk. I generally love TKMaxx stores but this one wasn’t it for me. The lady at fitting rooms was very slow and seemed like she wasn’t rushing at all even thought were where many people. The lady at the tills was very slow too, she also took a lot of time checking if we switched tickets which we didn’t and that was quite obvious. She was quite rude by the way she was doing it as well by making it extremely obvious and continues showing that she is doubting us.
After so many times of shopping at the TK Maxx, This is the first time I feel uncomfortable when I check out. I was sommoned to counter no.7, but the lady at the counter clearly refused to check me out and asked me to wait for the next counter while someone after me has already been called there. She said she needed a break but then she checked someone else. I am Asian, but I am not blind or deaf. It is so unacceptable that I have been treated like that. Wait, this isn't the end of story. When I pay with my credit card, a contactless card, I was asked to show my photo ID, which just made my experience worse.
Visit date/time:Oct14 around 4pm. Queued to pay. Very Busy hour. The 1st till on the right-hand side staff was happily chatting with another till staff when even I approached and making the payment.Becuz she was so busy to chat, she didn't even look at me and hear my requests. Usually, I don't mind staffs' happily charting while working. But this staff was not even looking at the customers in the middle of the the service, especially while you're standing there processing the payment!? That is unacceptably rude!
Located in a very busy shopping area, but well marked on either side of the street so you won’t miss it. Like its American counterpart T.J. Maxx it has all the bits and bobs as well as clothes, perfumes, and what we were looking for suitcases. The queue was long but moved incredibly fast. Incredibly useful store! Wales Online states there was already a store operating in the U.K., called TJ Hughes. (It’s still around, in fact, though it’s much smaller.) In order to avoid confusion, T.J. Maxx became T.K. Maxx.
TK Maxx is an interesting store. I went in hoping to find a small backpack and maybe a jacket. It's a mix of various primarily out of season clothes. Considering what is available, I was a bit surprised at the prices. The prices were mostly higher than what I would have expected. As I browsed, I noticed that there were a handful of good deals, but not too many. The store was very busy. At 1 point, I had some questions about a coat, but could not find anybody to help. Ended up leaving with nothing.
I'm Cis Male, Queer and occasionally shop in the Women's section. I went yesterday and it was the first time the attendant in the changing room said if was fine for me try on the clothes on the women's floor. Normally in other stores I'd get sent to the men's floor which is 2 floors down and then have to do several trips up and down trying on things. For the first time I didn't have to do that and was very thankful! So thank you to the lady yesterday evening who was so kind to me.
I always like to shop in TK Maxx when possible, and will seek them out everywhere I go. This particular store has way too much stock and what would be considered a fire hazard when there's not enough space for customers to pass between each rack. This makes the shopping experience less than pleasurable so unless you like being jammed into a small space with a lot of people trying to frantically find things I would give this branch a miss.
TK Maxx is a British retailer that sells clothing, accessories, homeware, and other items at discounted prices. The company operates over 500 stores in the UK and Ireland, as well as online. If you are looking for a bargain on branded items, TK Maxx may be a good place to shop. However, you may also encounter some problems or frustrations along the way. It may depend on your luck, your expectations, and your patience.
Its not as cheap as chips as it used to he but at their outlet in Covent Garden, London WC2 it certainly did the businesses for my injured and still, somewhat, emotional partner who need a quick boost with some new kit for a trip to relatives to continue her recuperation from a road traffic accident. Staff were excellent and purchases were value for money even though it wasn't as cheap as I recall.
While looking for new trainers I went to multiple tkmax stores and they all had the same range of basic poorly made plastic shoes, all stores were swamped with lots of lowe quality identical shoes models. It was sad to look at. Some years back there were occasional interesting items in stocks but now it's all mass produce for tkmax with so called discount price. Its not worth it.
Always a pleasure to shop in tkmaxx if you love to find something unusual and at a cheaper price why not visit this store. It does have a great range of items and you have to keep coming back to see what else they get. I have found clothing, shoes and bathroom shower gels to soaps. I have never left empty handed. It can be dangerous leaving with all sorts of random goodies.
The Covent Garden store is alright. The new K-Beauty product range is definitely very welcomed however the range of products they carry is more limited than in other stores as well as compared to what it used to be. It is a quiet store usually and a great place to shop when you don’t want to keep bumping into other people. Close to a tube station and other stores.
First time in a TK Maxx and yes I can see why people like these stores. Personally I found there's a good selection of items but you've got to be prepared to search for designer and correct sizes. I did try on a couple of bits but left with only 1 purchase, the ladys on the other hand had a lot more success! Changing rooms clean and warm. Staff pretty helpful .
Still a very relevant retail concept. Nice location but noticed some stores have better stock, better choices than others. This store was not one with the better stock and choices, but manages to offer just enough to lure you back, tempted by the promise that something good will be had soon. Service was acceptable, but not brill hence rating
Good collection of clothes and just got a jacket very reasonably priced. It was busy even on a Sunday but despite the queue at the tills, the system works well and was very efficient and person who served me friendly. As I found out sometimes the sizes are confusing and a jacket from say, M&S will be bigger than the same quoted size here.
Firs time in TK Maxx and I can say that the prices are really good. I was struggling with my shoes during my trip and decided to buy a new one in this store and I can say that it saved my trip. I bought a new pair of shoes for only 23£. Totally worth a visit, you can get impressed about how cheap things are there.
It is a very large store of TK Max in London with 3 storeys. Has a very large collection of great brands. Quite busy but reasonable to shop. The shirt and T shirt collection is awesome. Great trousers and shoes too. Most of the items are much lower than the original price and the shopping is a great deal.
Surprised how tidy this store was. Very pleased. Managed to actually look around without getting anxiety. Spacious, well spaced not all cramped together. Great stock levels and tidy. I actually managed to buy the thing I went for and something else because I wasn't rushing to get outside and calm down.
You guys are getting 5 stars simply because I needed socks after my old ones got drenched and you guys provided to my needs wonderfully. £6 for a pack of 6 saved me from a painful blister and the soothing feeling was nice. No other stores were open or close enough to provide the value!
The team was extremely unhelpful and the manager had such a bad attitude. I have bought the wrong shoes and she said I had to go to the Stratford store to return them although I explained I couldn’t go and another of her colleagues had told me it was fine to return them in that store
Most of the times I feel the need to express my experience due to the people that I interact more than only the place I have been. I would like to highlight that in Covent Garden shop there are not only simple employees, you have brand-ambassadors. Junior and Nirma -> 5* Thank you.
As always in Tk-maxx I can find brands I love at a price that doesn't let me break. I love going to tkmaxx, especially when I have enough time to dig and look at most of the products to find the best deal. I bought everything from clothes, shoes, body products, and pet accessories.
Love checking out TK Maxx when I can. You can find some really nice designer stuff if you're lucky. Also they are stocking more Korean and Japanese beauty products which is great as I don't have to order online anymore since they have made it available here on the high street!
They have a gold collection with 'super duper' designer gear still at expensive prices...some good but some...well you sort of understand why it hasn't sold... Don't get fooled by the RRP price and what it is now!! Have been to better TX Marx's further afield …
It was very clean, neat and tidy. there was great variety. When the neighborhood changes, unfortunately, the arrangement and order also changes, I think that attention should be paid to the same quality of order everywhere. This store deserves a round of applause.
Big brands and discounted prices. Trust me everything in TK Maxx has cheap prices here, from toiletries to skincare to hair care to make up to clothes. Find everything here for a discounted prices! I got my shampoo and conditioner for 50% off, which was awesome.
This is a big store offering a massive choice of clothes, shoes and household goods and accessories. It's always busy. You can't always find the clothing or shoes you like, in the correct size. The prices vary from sale bargains to very expensive items.
It's good to shop for just regular clothes or socks but when we purchased a luggage, we kept coming back to exchange them because once we take them out of the store, they break. We kept one until the luggage finally reached our hotel without breaking.
Only any good for bathroom products these days. The top brand surprises have gone, the shoes are shocking and I wouldn't put them on my feet. The clothes rails look like the film costume department for a New York gangster film most of the time.
Well located TK Maxx store in the Centre of London. For a store of its kind it quite „tidy“ (if you know what I am talking about). The staff is quite friendly and helpful. The place is getting very crowded - especially on Sunday during midday.
Beautiful little shop. It's well stocked, neat and clean. Always well organised and with very good selection of items. Competitive prices, and they always bring new merchandise and novelty items. Definitely one of the best shops in London.
Not a very pleasant experience. I chose a bag and paid in cash. Two twenty pound notes was what I thought I had given, which should have meant a ten pound note in my change, but when the sales assistant didn't offer this, I questioned it.
Variety of branded products in an assorted fashion, most of the nice items don't fit well but if you are a brand fanatic, well it's a good place to start. They also have home wares and sweets. Credit cards accepted. Service was okay.
Not enough space between shelves. Things are cluttered but if you gave some patience you might find something interesting. Price wise - average with tendency to pricey. Many items are damaged so check them out before buying.
Surprise this to see the UK version of TJ Maxx. Prices are a little higher here. This is a larger store with two levels. Like many places in London, it was a little crowded. I purchased a couple pair of slacks.
The store is nice enough but don't expect the prices to be cheap. Admittedly last time I visited a tk maxx was around 10 years ago but still.. there was nothing there to say wow what a bargain..
The usual for TK Maxx - variety everywhere and you just need to look through. I got a nice candle and the cashier was really pleasant but other than that couldn’t really find anything I wanted
My first experience with TK-Maxx was in Stugart, Germany . So, seeing it again in London, I had to shop a bit. Great as always like the American version, if I am right, TJ Maxx. …
I had been touring London and decided to see this shop. TK Max . I didn't expect to be followed by an employee. I have decided to contact the corporate office to discuss this problem.
I just love TKMaxx. It can be dissapointing if you don't find anything but always worth the try. Most of my good quality clothes and bags are from TKMaxx and I love the treasure hunt.
Great bargains to be had. Store is nicely laid out and easy to navigate. Has street entrance so no mobility issue accessing the store. Checkouts are tight but queues moved quickly.
Discussing customers service , am leaving a review here as the website didn’t allow you to do it. Ordered some products, never arrived despite them telling it arrived, no answers
Not a bad size store but the selection of clothes is not big and they don t seem to update it enough. Also a lo of their packaging is damaged. So expect to see boxes tapped up.
With the Tottenham court road one are the flagship units Great selection of everything, Make sure you have some time to spare, it takes time to look for the perfect item.
One of my favourite stores! Always great deals! I felt the lighting was a little dark making it difficult to see various items but otherwise, a great TKMaxx!
Tk Maxx is a fantastic shop..loads of bargains. Needed emergency footwear for my daughter and got wellies for 12 pounds and 5 pairs socks for 10. Nice staff
Very clean, well furnished and organised TK Max. It has improved a lot after Covid. Before it used to be a little bit messy. I do my shopping it regularly.
Always pop in when I walk past to check out the bargains. Sometimes find a hidden gem. I've picked up some nice versace trousers before for a 1/4 of RRP.
I like T K Maxx. Choice is different in each store but you can always find a bargain even if you might not always find exactly what you are looking for.
Be ware of pickpockets especially near the shop doors. My phone was stolen and I was told it happens often and they don’t have the means to stop it.
Excellent store with wide selection of (men's) clothes - gets very busy, staff are OK, but could be friendlier - however, to be fair are very busy
Lotsa sales all around the year... Good mid range designer clothes and accessories for low price... Good options if you looking for sales items...
Charging Cross branch is the best; always many and various items available in different sizes and colours. Accessible through underground station.
The ratio of actual branded clothes to their own modbox range is a little off in the men's section but otherwise a good place to shop for clothes
Great range of stuff here from toiletries, clothes, shoes, kids stuff, toys, homeward and food. Well laid out and not too big to be overwhelming
I love the way they presented the items. Very useful to me. Some of the stores have been designed to support you and some to confuse you.
They would mislabel items to a lower price then at checkout they would tell you that the price is wrong and give you a higher price.
We absolutely love TK Maxx! No matter where you are you can always Ford great bargains! Great clothes, great value, great shop!
Quite small, don't have that much of special things, and everything good is out fast. I would rather go to less central places.
I loved shopping in TK Maxx I’ve been a few round the country and this store is to the standard of the others. 5 stars
Used to love TKmax now it's very over priced. And if your buying XL then you will be up to £15 more for most items.
Not as big as other TK Maxx's (Bristol), but a large clearance section which is perfect for an extra good steal!
Amazing place to shop in London and has what we all need. All the best ay from SA could not resist this one
Nice and tidy. Very well marked. I found more things than I thought. Good shopping day . Will be back soon
My wife loves TK Maxx for shopping, really nice clothing accessories & comparatively reasonable prices.
This brand has no respect for the residents of this area, they do a loud job from 10 PM to midnight
Excellent store. Well-managed and the staff are lovely and keen to help. Thank-you kindly ❤️❤️❤️
Cheap enough at good brands and in good condition and good staff and very good place to shop !
Everything you need over a few floors, had to get some trainers quick and got them from here.
Medium size to Maxx , children section is quite small, but man and woman sections are big.
It was similar to the US store TJ MAXX. purchased men's pants and they are good quality.
Large shop in Covent garden. It is Kept tidy and clean. Amazing offers. Friendly staff
Wonderful store with great bargains. Too bad they don't have a home sense department.
London Soho store has so much better and cheaper stock than any the Glasgow branches
Great shopping. Fantastic prices. You can get designer brands at a fraction of price
Store feels a bit dark and dingy. Always packed and customers are super annoying.
There's a lot of cool stuff, but go with time to dig because the store is a mess.
Love TKmaxx, hate this branch. What a tiny footprint for an Oxford Street store.
When I visited the store, they were having a sale. Its a nice place to shop.
Affordable prices and the quality of their stuff is great and also reliable
Good for buying branded stuff like shoes and clothes at discounted prices.
One of the best branches with nice selection and options to choose from
Everyone's noticeably polite here. Costs nothing, means everything <3
You can find all brands ,I really love this place and is cheaper too
Think head to head Primark is the better of the two bargain shops.
Large department store in London, girls enjoyed looking around.
It is probably the only place left to maybe dig out a bargain,
Very good prices. Tight space. Lots of customers. Quick tils
Awesome shop with many floors and good range for any
