The Roar and Snore experience is fantastic. We had the opportunity to meet a few of the species and talk to their carers. You go on a nocturnal walk and an early walk when the park is still not open to day visitors. You learn a lot about the animals, the conservation efforts and all programs Taronga Zoo runs to educate on and protect wildlife. The guides are very knowledgeable and entertaining, you can feel they are really passionate about their work. You get the experience of waking up to an environment full of animals and listen to their sounds what is a quite unique experience.
bit hit and miss. some exhibits closed but only found out when walked of main path to viewing area to find two signs stating elephants in lower enclosure. avoidable wasted steps for those like myself who are infirm. no penguins did I see, seen signs but alas 0. flying squirrels another wasted walk as enclosure deserted. on a plus the Sumatran Tigers are a tip top how it should be done Zoo feature. The Seal, Sealion display is also a must see. so please Taronga Zoo sort the signage and save the less able the extra distance.
Taronga Zoo in Sydney offers an incredible wildlife experience with stunning views of the cityscape and harbor. The diverse range of animals, well-maintained exhibits, and engaging keeper talks make it a memorable visit. The zoo's commitment to conservation and education adds depth to the experience, making it an enjoyable outing for both adults and children. The Sky Safari cable car provides a unique perspective, enhancing the overall charm of this iconic Australian zoo.
Great visit to the zoo. First thing, the safari lift is NOT in use but there is a bus to the top front entrance. Small queue for tickets and grab a few map. Suggest planning your day, if you don’t like hills then go side to side then down so you finish at bottom. Some great exhibits, animals look well kept and some great view points to get a cracking picture. Wasn’t too busy (Sept) but hot. Overall a smashing visit, well planned out zoo with some interactive parts. *****
Beautiful place; large variety of animals and food outlets; A great place to spend ur entire day with family and friends. Prams/strollers are provided for $15 or you can bring ur own. Washrooms are neat and tidy. Sky safari available for additional cost. Just bring ur sunscreen and umbrella depending on the weather
Lovely place that you can get close to animals and enjoy best view of the habour. They have Australian local animals and some other specials. Not very large park but good enough to spend half day here. Very easy to access by bus and ferry. However the ticket is $49pp that is a bit expensive.
Enjoyable day But zoo staff not at all very helpful when asked question could not be bothered to help or assist also zoo not the best place to visit if u are not super fit or have health conditions because of it being built on hills.
A magical place with abundant fauna from Australia & around the world. Extremely well thought out tours are available & the zoo authorities are extremely helpful with any query. A must visit!
We absolutely love Taronga Zoo! Being too many zoos around the world and making Australia and this is still our favorite ❤️ The seal show and the bird show off phenomenal!!!
Always a great day out. Exercise, animals, seal and bird shows and the best views of Sydney. The staff are lovely and many food places, picnic areas and toilets.
Good animal experience but too few really compared to a lot other zoos. Food selection in restaurants is average to poor .better to take your own food along .
Really great zoo. If you’re in Sydney I highly recommend visiting. Take the cable car (gondola) for incredible views of the city.
I had an awesome day at the Zoo with my gorgeous man and the day was not hot it was just right. Just way too many people there.
Went there for Vivid in 2022. I was impressed though the food can be overpriced (though it was nice enough).
Very nice.....you must visit if you are in Sydney....I am buy something nice for my grandsun......
Vivid at the Zoo is brightly illuminating, worthy of a night time feast for the eyes!
They need more shelter. Too many open spaces, way too hot for summer.
The zoo is a little bit small but it is a good family place.
It open now but you need reservations due to limited slots
Kid's loved it fell asleep in the car on way home YES
