We chose Tera for our residential paint job; from our research and the estimate we determined they would provide quality workmanship, professionalism, personalization, and their ease with which to work and that this corresponded to a reasonable price for the project. On the job, they confirmed these traits and more. From start to finish, receiving the estimate to checking off the final punch list item, Alex and his crew were wonderful to work with. The paint job quality was superb, and the customer service was great. No project goes off without a hitch, but Alex's sense of "going above and beyond", "doing the right thing", and "making things right" without question, carried this project. His crew needed to access our neighbors yards to reach and paint our side house; the crew's professionalism and care of neighbors personal property was noted and much appreciated by our neighbors. Much time and attention to detail was taken in getting the paint/stain color just right. Our shingles were a challenge to strip and re-stain (they look beautiful); after which we experienced issues with our windows of which Alex addressed immediately offering solutions, including an offer to replace which was not ultimately needed. We found Alex and crew extremely open to feedback and willing to address anything of concern. My husband and I had the entire interior of our home painted by Tera Paint. I am super picky and was very selective about who we hired for this job. I met with a couple other painting companies, but didn't feel like I could fully trust them to do a good job for one reason or another. When Alex (the owner of Tera Painting) came to meet with me, it was like a breath of fresh air . He is very knowledgable, and professional; yet so personable. I immediately knew we wanted Tera Painting for our job. Alex sent us a very reasonable bid and worked with us on a timeline that could coordinate with our crazy schedules and budget. His team came each day when they said they would, were respectful and professional, and left everything clean and immaculate before leaving each night. They communicated and coordinated with me the whole time and scheduled their work around what was the least impactful on my everyday life! I was shocked at how nice they were. I was very pleased with Tera’s attention to detail and responsiveness. They were not the lowest priced of four estimates we received but the only company to actively engage with me in the estimate process (vs. walking the property alone) and to point out potential issues like lead-based paint and rotted fascia boards needing replacement. Our paint was even tested on the spot to confirm lead content, which would affect how it could be safely handled where peeling - a small gesture that showed preparation for the task. I figured that addressing these issues with the lower bidding companies would increase their prices closer to Tera’s anyway and I appreciated Tera’s very up-front approach and detailed contract and warranty to review before making any down payment. One or two issues arose during the process and Tera painting was super prompt in addressing my concerns and even adding in some extra work (my request to replace a small section of siding) without too much trouble. Not the cheapest, probably not the fastest, but I’m guessing one of the most thorough and conscientious painting companies. We’ll likely hire them again in the future.

Tera Painting did an excellent job painting our kitchen and bathroom. They were very responsive to questions and concerns throughout the whole process—from the initial estimate visit to providing a detailed written contract as well as scheduling the work. I needed to reschedule a couple of times for personal reasons and they were very agreeable and flexible with my request. The painter and project manager showed up promptly each day and did a fine job preparing the area as well as cleaning up when finished. They were friendly, respectful, and easy to have around. When we changed our mind about a color choice, they were also very accommodating. When the work was finished, they stayed until all was inspected and any additional touch-ups were completed to my satisfaction. Their prices were reasonable and there were no surprise fees when we received the final invoice. I highly recommend this company without any reservations and will plan to use them again in the future.

Based on favorable reviews I contacted Tera Painting to get an estimate on painting the exterior of our house in the Phinney Ridge neighborhood in Seattle. The owner Matt got back to me within a day and was able to inspect the house several days later. An estimate was sent that was very detailed including the paint colors that we had requested. This interaction with Matt and the thorough estimate which included a 3 year warranty on older construction and his view that the job would occur in May convinced us to go with Tera Painting. In early May I was contacted and the work began. Throughout the job, which included refinishing the deck there was was good communication with the lead man Carlos and the painter Alejandro who typically works by himself. We were fortunate to have him as he was very methodical, thorough, and very careful about covering all the adjacent plants and surfaces. We are very happy with the results and glad that it could be done early.

Short info: Great communication and excellent results! Detailed info: Tera was very easy to work with. They came out to look at the house and gave us an official bid within a couple days. After we signed the contract, it was only a couple more days before they came out to prep the house. From to start finish of actually painting, it was less than a week, though it's worth noting that our house isn't very big. Before they officially finished, Michael and Alex came by to do a walk around with us. We pointed out a couple spots that needed touched up, and Alex found a couple things he thought could look better. We didn't have to convince them to get the crew out to fix anything, they just did it! To err is human, but it's how you handle mistakes what separates the good from the great. I would definitely recommend Tera. We love our new paint job!

My finished basement looks beautiful. I'd run out of words trying to praise Matt and his painters Alberto and Luis, so suffice it to say that I couldn't be happier with the entire experience, from first meeting to completion. The job took about two weeks total. The first week Matt utilized his carpentry skills--resurfacing walls, repairing drywall, installing shoe molding, etc. The second week, Alberto and Luis painted--trim, ceiling, walls, doors. The project was pretty big, but they stayed within the original good-faith estimate, and they finished on time. Matt's a perfectionist, so he pays attention to details, and he's a good communicator, too, so I received updates throughout. The upstairs of our house awaits a fresh coat of paint, and we'll be giving Matt a call soon.

We had a great experience working with Tera. We used Tera Painting for interior painting (rooms and trim) as well as specialized cabinet painting. The communication with this company was top notch (both the home office and in-house crews). They were very responsive, professional, and detail oriented. The interior work was great and they did a walk through with us to address any fine details we noticed before the job was completed. They also sent out a specialized crew to disassemble, prep, and spray our kitchen cabinets in two colors. This crew set up a spray booth in our garage to minimize fumes, contain over spray, and to prevent the damage of our cabinets in transit. Our cabinet crew was excellent and their finished work looks extraordinary.

We knew what color we wanted to paint the house, but didn't know what it was called. After describing it to Matt, he recommended a color that was exactly what we were looking for. This really showed us how well he knows his trade. Omar and his crew were terrific. They were always here and going first thing in the morning and cleaned up after each day. After we had a walk through with Mauricio we found areas that needed to be touched up. Omar was back and and did excellent follow up to complete the job to our satisfaction. Luis from Tera painting did fantastic job on my drywall. I had a water damaged window frame. The paint was chipping off and drywall was flaking. Luis and his crew came in and put protective covering on the floor first and restored my windows into perfection. Luis texted me before arriving and informed me of change of schedule in advance. He took his time and paid attention to all the details. It was obvious that he really enjoys his job and was proud of his work. Matt was professional, courteous and was in constant communication. . After 8 years of living in a townhouse, we made the bold move to take everything off the wall and move all the furniture for a complete interior paint job! Tera walked us through every part, and talked to us about colors and what would work covering our myriad of colors (lots of dark colors in our house). Tera Painting did a very nice job repainting our home. Tera was easy to schedule and coordinate with and their PM’s were always available/got back to me quickly when needed. These guys were great! We wanted to repaint a wall that stretched 3 stories along the stairwells in our townhome, and our timing was pretty tight: we only had a couple days between when another contractor would be finished and our target move-in date.
