I'm from a family of Terraware converts (spanning 3 generations & counting:) We've been shopping here for 18+yrs & we all have a sincere appreciation for Kath & Kate's classic/timeless designs & their wonderful knowledgable, helpful staff. Having lived in Europe for many years, my mother & I were delighted to discover this unique, charming boutique offering the quality of fabrics & classic designs we enjoyed in Europe. This is a high end women's boutique offering high end casual designs through wedding/formal/gala event wear, so it is not inexpensive, however, in our experience, Terraware's prices are more affordable than garments of equivalent quality in European boutiques & are reasonable for the Canadian market given the quality of design, fabric & workmanship of the garments. On entering the store, you will find yourself enveloped by the most lovely, rich, textured, inviting fabrics in a most delicious, vibrant array of colours - it's quite a heady experience, I liken it to the adult equivalent of Charlie entering Willie Wonka's chocolate factory! The designs appeal to my appreciation for the classic elegant outfits donned by movie stars & debutantes of bygone eras, of course there are items with more modern twists for those who like something with fun or flair:) The clothes are beautifully designed & demonstrate quality construction/workmanship (these are not mass factory production trendy/fashion items). Kath, her daughter Kate & their wonderful Terraware staff are knowledgeable & provide the high level of attentive customer service appropriate to a women's boutique of this type. These are not the commission driven retail employees of corporate mall stores, but rather passionate, professionals invested in providing superior, attentive & thoughtful customer service. Their goal is to ensure that their customers come away thrilled with their purchases . I can understand how individuals who are not accustomed to this level of attention/involvement may find this uncomfortable or perceive it as pushy. This level of service used to be expected in high-end women's boutiques, but nowadays is much less common to experience. I personally appreciate it. Part of the superior service Terraware offers is that on purchase, clothing is custom tailored to suit your body, so you will always look your best. They are also willing to do custom alterations & even custom modifications/orders on request. My recommendation, embrace the service & experience Kath, Kate & their staff offer you, they will have you looking & feeling your best for any occasion:) I have met numerous other long term clients over the years who appreciate Terraware & their wonderful staff as much as my family & I do. PS, I'll just mention here, whenever I am decked out in my Terraware ensemble (which is the vast majority of the time that I am not otherwise in my pajamas:) , I am regularly stopped & asked for the name of the shop I purchased my clothes from - Keep up the great work Terraware! <3

Excellent customer service. Kathryn goes above and beyond to please the citizens of Dundas, even if they have never been in her store! Background: During my Sunday morning walk, I left my Pook Mittens on the sidewalk of the Main Street a few doors up from Terraware. Kathryn came upon them and put the mittens on the windowsill of Strawberry Fields, hoping the owner would return looking for them. I didn’t even know I lost them until I read a posting on the Friends of Dundas site late yesterday. Kathryn went out of her way and drove back to Dundas to pick up the mittens from the windowsill so that she could bring them into the store this morning. Not only did I pick up my beloved mittens from Terraware, I bought two pairs of lovely hand-made earrings. What a selection!!! I can’t wait to return to the store when I have time to look through all of Terraware’s beautiful outfits, all designed by Kathryn herself!

firstly, for the design and quality of the products in this store it is very over priced! secondly, the owner and staff were beyond rude. I thought as a customer looking at dresses with my mother i could voice my opinion about the clothing when asked by my mom. BIG MISTAKE. after i said that i didn't particularly care for one of the dresses the owner took it upon herself to go on a verbal rampage about how my opinion didn't matter. It didn't stop there, she continued to make me feel uncomfortable and said that "my daughter wears these clothes and she likes them" "it doesn't matter if you don't like the dress you're not the one wearing it" and so on. Very rude and uncalled for. never had an experience in a store like this. If you're prepared to spend $400 on a simple article of clothing accompanied by pushy rude staff, this is the place for you.

I just had the very best shopping experience of my life. Kathryn and Emily made me feel most welcome, and seemed to know exactly which items would suit me. I purchased an outfit to wear at my daughter's wedding, and went back the very next day to purchase a new wardrobe for fall/winter to wear at work. The clothing is well priced for the uniqueness and quality of fabrics. I am a customer for life, thank you for your kindness and your courage to offer excellent quality and selection in a throw away world of mass produced goods. I will be telling all my friends and associates about your wonderful boutique.

Love my classy Terraware clothes. Found this little gem of a store a few years ago. Ideal outfits for business as well as formal occasions. The fabrics (linens, silks) are so much nicer than synthetics. Particularly appreciate the custom tailoring as I am not an "off-the-rack" size. The staff have excellent fashion sense and will show you things that suit you, if you let them. They discovered a few items for me that I wouldn't have thought of myself, but really like. The prices reflect the nature of the products - they are higher than in the chain stores, but the clothes are worth it.

I do appreciate the use of quality material and labour that they use. The clothes were fine, I just didn't think they were worth that much. The associates were polite enough but a bit on the pushy side. It's good you have a layaway plan but to avoid any offense, let the customers who need it ask you about it first. As for the scarf, thanks for the explaining but it doesn't help I was asked first for it's whereabouts before asking any of your staff who did have it.

WORST greeting ever! Went in to shop for a jacket after work, walk in, Hello.... nothing....hello again....walked further into store...lady leans over counter.." Can't you see I'm on the phone, is it important?" I was a bit taken back. I left, I thought customers were important, apparently not when she's on phone. And NO I DID NOT SEE YOU ON THE PHONE so sorry I didn't schedule my shopping time with your phone call! I will not be recommending this store to anyone!

A huge Thank You to Kathryn and everyone at Terraware for making me so happy with the absolutely gorgeous outfit I just purchased for my daughters wedding. Your kindness and exceptional attention to detail and customer needs is outstanding and greatly appreciated. I bumbled into this store by accident and at first glance wasn't sure it would suit me - then the staff showed me around and explained the care in selecting the fabrics and free custom fittings - in trying items on I came out with a lovely and very stylish red linen dress. Everyone loves it and my only complaint is that I can't wear it every day :-)

Kathryn and her staff are as always just lovely. The new/old place on Park is roomier than the King location and the change rooms are bigger. I love the new stuff I just bought and love the pieces I have in my wardrobe. The quality and materials used are top notch. We are fortunate to have such a shop in Canada, let alone Dundas!!

This store is Terrible!! I wish I had read the Bad Google Reviews before I went. My husband and I found the staff and owner to be very pushy. I did not think the clothing was fashionable and well made for the cost. I would not go there to shop again.

Always had a great experience with Kathryn and her staff. I love the quality and uniqueness of her clothing...one of a kind. I have a number of standard pieces, and recently purchased my Mother of the Groom outfit there.
