This is the worst ever Petrol station when it comes to state of repair. However, the shop within it (Londis 24/7 branch) has a really good selection of goods at reasonable prices - particularly car care products' stock is of unusually wide range. As for staff members' behaviour and customer service in general, it is really both ends of the same scale - based on my experiences of approximately a dozen occasions I purchased items here - they can be impolite, patronising and literally yelling at their-by that point timidly stunned - customer as well as attentive, pleasantly smiley and helpful, including anything in-between. Such a variety of behaviours on a range that include the opposing extremes too, tell me that there is no effective, competent, pro-active leadership but reactive line-managing at most. Therefore, the customer experience is down to individuals interacting with and attuned to one another, which is limiting to both sides - as overall performance feedback from the boss and the reflection staff can undertake to inform their level of competence affecting their self-confidence and self-esteem becomes scarce and random, i.e. not enough for healthy boundaries to be set and maintain so bad behaviours normalise quite easily whilst excellence does not get encouraged and after a while, there is no noticeable, if any, difference in experiences of working life as in relating to the boss regardless, whether one works hard to be excellent or not so hard and performs "adequately". This way, particularly in cases of persons who take pride in the jobs they are employed to undertake, it soon will be learnt that the efforts to be excellent do not worth it. And here's the long read part: The lack of leadership, from this particular viewpoint of contrasting staff behaviours, may not be profound on the excellent-turned-mediocre person but definitely is significant as it impacts the way they relate to work or seniors for many years to come. That, in turn, will stop them to be curious, creative, and courageous therefore, not only missing out on opportunities that, if they are lucky enough to encounter a mid-life crisis, would provide the very last opportunity to pause, reflect and become clear about certain fundamentals that determine how they will make choices from then on, which milestone appears to be essential in having a meaningful life and arrive to the place of happiness that is also labelled by the term "fulfilment", That, as a lived experience of - and in any culture - is vastly different from contentment/acceptance/being complacent. Men - according to shared views of those who research our contemporary culture and peoples' values - are likely to be disproportionately affected by such inadvertent adversity as their number one value the place to be the primacy of work.
0/10 would not recommend. Had an issue with the pumps and tried to explain it to the employee. He then proceeded to raise his voice at me and my friend and tell us that we were simply “women who didn’t know how to use pumps”. He also asked us if we were from this country and could speak english while also making islamophobic comments. Another female customer also complained about her pump and the employee said she was simply a female and couldn’t speak english so her complaint was invalid. He was a trainee who has only been working there for 3 weeks and has appalling customer service skills. Once calling the supervisor, he told me that he would deal with it if another issue occurred and to “let it go”. As someone who works in customer service, this place should be shut down. Absolutely disgusting behaviour from both the employee and management.
The short owner has to be just about the rudest condesending person I've ever met. He even shouted at my elder mother couldn't believe his disgusting attitude. This man hates life and hates people. The worst. Would strongly recommend the Applegreen petrol station 2 minutes away on Kennington Lane (address: 238 KenningtonLane), very friendly staff and better prices. If you need a convinence store, there is another 24 hour Payless on 322 Kennington Lane, 5 minute walk away very good on prices. If you need vape e liquid, there is a vape shop just across in Pimlico (address: 10B John Islip St) 10 minute walk with a MUCH wider variety of product and better prices. The staff at all the other alternative locations are friendly and worth while.
Came here for many years for the fuel or car wash. But now, I had enough of the rude staff at the shop. I only pay for petrol & car wash tokens. How can people be so rude when I just ask for a car wash token and to pay for my fuel. This place doesn’t deserve to be open! I’ve always been polite as usual, but the mood of service we get in return is absolutely inappropriate for a store staff. It’s not just with me. Previous customers in line had the same treatment. I’m just asking for a war wash program - and pay for pump number thanks. It felt like I was demanding something never seen before. I’m fed up of this place. Will go elsewhere now. Been too nice for too long.
Plus point.. it is 24 hour. On the other hand 1. Exit turn right can be a risk so better turn left and go round the roundabout... yawn 2. Air pressure gauge is old style, on the hose. Hard to read and impossible to read if it is dark. Need a torch and 3 hands. 3. Car wash is ok if your car is small and not really dirty. Could use higher water pressure, longer time and clearer instructions. 4. Users of car wash need to be polite and considerate because there's not room for 2 cars to be in motion at the same time. 5. If air pump is in use the very narrow entrance/exit to the car wash might be obstructed... but that's ok if you drive over the kerb.
There's a short guy who works there (not sure if he still is as I've never been back) who is the rudest guy I've ever come across working with the public. He started shouting at me because I wasn't quick enough telling him my registration plate. I told him he was rude and he said he didn't care. If he's not happy working there get another job where you don't have to deal with members of the public. Also I was with my child at the time. Terrible behaviour.
1. Don't buy fuel here. Last time I did it was contaminated with water. My mechanic said that it was basically all watery fuel that broke my motorbike down. I tried to raise a case for refund with them directly but they said that it's impossible without even thinking about it or trying to understand what happened. Wonder how the fuel prices are always so low! 2. Super rude people work there, no matter how kind you hare to them
If I could give 0 stars I would. Took all my patience to not argue back with the guy on the till. Just came to pay for my fuel and he was being so rude to me. There was literally no need…couldn’t be bothered to say anything but will be complaining to Texaco HQ & never coming here again. Feel sorry for him actually, so miserable! P.S. guy was also coughing on everyone!
Driven past this pump so many times before without stopping off. One night (around 12:30am) I noticed thier pence per litre for unleaded was 4p cheaper than any of my local pumps in Surrey. Stopped off and filled up the tank. Used the night window service and everything was fine. So with all considered, I would consider using the pump again, whenever driving past.
Don’t bother if you want to use their jet wash at 21:00 or later. They say it is closed and don’t sell tokens. Even if they are to save time on next visit (before 21:00, of course). Don’t bother if you want to wash your car at 20:50. They say the jet wash is not working. What business says NO to money? Maybe it is not a business. What is it?!
Best place for washing your car in Central London. Park up outside the car wash sprayers, then go and pay £3.50 for a number 3 (shampoo, soap and rinse) token, then wait for a space to become free, then power wash your car or bike. Best not to go to the car wash in the dark though, the forecourt lighting does not cover the car wash.
Bad customer service I have never come across any petrol station staff as rude as the short fellow behind the tills at this station. He won't allow me to use their bathroom despite buying a tankful of petrol and simply said go elsewhere. I'll definitely be going somewhere else in future. This guy is a moron.
Extremely poor level of customer service from guy named Maha. No hello, no goodbye no thank you and during serving keeps talking in foreign language with his mate which did make me feel uncomfortable as I have no clue if they don't talk about me. This guy need customer service training.
Like several other reviews have noted the customer service at this establishment is non existent. There is one particular man there called Mutma ( I believe this is correct spelling) for whome the concept of please and thankyou is completely alien. An odious individual!!!
The staff named maha was very rude no greetings or thanks nothing i was surprised when he just threw the reciept when i wanted it i could see he was just annoyed about his job..this kind of staff's should not be there they are making a very bad reputation of the company
Cheap fuel, but a lot of pumps usually out of service and you will never find tissues or gloves. They also charge for the water from the machine, but the fuel is cheap compared to any branded fuel in the whole of central London and immediate surrounding area
Unbelievably rude staff. The guy working there really wanted to have an argument with me, kept pushing. So so odd! I'm a quiet person, I thought he was joking at first, then realised he just wants someone to argue with. I just walked away.
Terrible Lazy staff can not bother to listen to customers. Out of orders Air machine was not carrying any Signs. On top of it when I went to enquire on the counter the man was extremely rude and unconcerned about the situation.
Bought baby formula (aptamil) from here only to find it had expired by a month when I got home. Went the next day to confront the staff, their answer was I should've checked the date before buying the product. Nice one.
I love this petrol station, staff so friendly and helpful. I also like they have car self washing facilities which I'm happy to use whenever I have the chance. I recommend this gas station for sure.
Stopped there a few weeks back. Inside they have a hot drinks vending machine which tastes better that Costa - lMHO. They also have a selection of lovely cakes and biscuits.
I had my helmet off my head and they still wouldn't turn the pumps on for me. Also their air pump was faulty. I left the station with less air in my tyres
Excellent fuel price. The manager is really good, very friendly and welcoming. We can find all kind of food there. I will go there back for sure.
Cheap Fuel always Best coffee and chicken biriyani for 3.60 pounds. WC available always too. The staff member warmed it for me too. Thank you.
Petrol spillage on most pumps, dirty. Staff rude, demanding (when told off and threaten We'd complain to texaco HQ to we got an apologise)
It's got jet washes, fuel and a small shop so good place to stop if filling up and looking for basic food items. Staff are always friendly
Show up note on window ...back in 10 minutes in rest room. Loada of customers waiting at the pumps to fill up. Not good service.
Great jet wash facilities. Well stocked but pricey food options. Annoying rule that bikers have to remove helmets.
Planning permission for this petrol station and shop to be demolished and replaced with 2 hotels has been granted.
fantastic place so close to town. Hopefully will not turn into a hotel like the rest of albert embankment
They have two jet wash that work, so hard to find at the moment with out a big queue. Plus only £4.50
Dirty and run down, and not much choice of items in store, but fuel prices consistently best in town.
Good customer service and clean through out. Fuel is cheaper than many other places.
Car wash fuel vacuum tyre pump everythings there needs a cash machine although
This guys are thief's, keep selling me carwash token £3.5 token for £5 .
