Positives + Felt good to be back in the gym after lockdown Negatives - £15 upfront and £30 monthly membership - Can only pay to use the facilities via cash, monthly membership payments are recorded on paper - Lack of space in the weight areas to workout - Benches in the weight area are connected to the floor therefore cannot be moved - Operators are in very poor condition and are not regularly sanitised by staff especially the cardio machines - Poor customer service i.e. being a privately owned gym management are likely to remind you of how costly the equipment are and the fact they pay out of pocket - Overhead lights in certain areas are not working therefore cannot use the equipment in the area I normally workout 6-7 days a week. I paid £45 to sign-up but left after 3 days of use. Dear Owner Weights will occasionally be dropped hence the matt in the weights area and the odd weights will not be returned to their correct position it is a gym after all. Why expect customers to pay a £45 premium in the first month and £30 thereafter to do the employee’s job. If you’re going to charge inflated prices at least have basic necessity like a water fountain therefore customers wouldn't necessarily need to bring a water bottle. Your competitors are charging roughly £20 a month without joining fees.

my son tyrese has been going this gym for many years and always said how amazing it was as a older over weight mum i always felt very shy to go to the gym but after starting this gym wow the staff make u fill so comfortable and there is nothing to feel shy about they showed me what machines to use and really made me feel welcome which i feel is very important for us older ladies who maybe have never been gym before Stacey was so lovely and despite looking like a model lol made me feel at ease i will be going all the time now and this will help me to lose weight and completely change my quality of life i encourage any ladies who are thinking of going gym to try THAMESMEAD GYM u wont regret ur choice and hopefully it will change ur life as well

Went there as new year resolution with my partner and wanted to sign up if we like the place. Arrived, it looks rundown and not welcoming. We met someone at the window who said he was the owner. Asked are we members we said no, he said its £5 each. I took out my card and and said cash only. We had £7 in cash. He said you can't come in as it's £10. He was super rude and abrupt. We left and hoped onto a bus to Snap Fitness 10 minutes away. Met a super nice girl that let us work out for free as we are non members and we both signed up for a yearly subscription. Avoid this place at all cost. If I could give it a lower star I would. Their loss is Snaps gain. If you are the Owner of that horrible gym - well played.

Been here a bunch of times. Everyone is super cool here and tho im not a regular gym member I've enjoyed my time there. However been away from gyms for nearly 2 years now and decided to go back to this one since it's local only to be surprised that they still don't accept card payments especially since there are no ATMs nearby which is a shame. Prices are pretty cheap to so non members can get in easily, also they do inductions if you need help. I hope the dudes over there allow debit card payments in the near future. It makes payments so much much quicker. TL;DR the people, facilities, equipment, the price are super cool but you can only pay with rl cash not debit/credit card.

FANTASTIC place!! Been to many gyms before but this one beats them all by far. Very clean and tidy. Staff are very friendly and helpful and very busy keeping the gym tidy for us to use!! I've witnessed it myself during this difficult covid period how staff have worked extra hard sanitising and wiping the equipments after use! I've been here 4 years now and never had any problems. If you haven't been here before then u must try this gym out otherwise ur loss! Stacey is the best :)

Great place locally to come and workout. Good range of equipment and not overcrowded. Stacey on the Reception desk was a superstar from day one when I came and Joined up with my partner. Always courteous and professional. Extra bonus points for remembering names! I have been very impressed with this. Small personal touch on each visit makes a huge difference in service perception. Real gem of a gym. I didn't think places like this still existed and never thought I'd find somewhere like this anywhere within the M25. Friendly staff (family run), really cheap and near the bus stop. Worth traveling for. Serious enough to make you want to train hard (feels just like the old gyms), yet somehow still has a community feel - you'll feel at home whether you're a novice or a quadzilla.

I went to this gym a few weeks ago to do a day pass as i was only around the area for the day. I went in around 1pm and was greeted by a young man who helped me massively and showed me round the whole gym! He was really polite and charismatic. The gym was so much bigger then I thought and the atmosphere was great also. Loads of options of machines free weights and cardio equipment.

Only here for a month for work but the staff waived the joining fee and let me just pay for a month as i wasnt here long. Staff were super friendly and motivational, also helpful with some machinces id never seen before. Also the regular customers are friendly and welcoming which is rare nowadays ill be back to the area soon and will 100% be training in this gym.

I've been a member for 4 years. Best gym for miles. Great prices on daily or monthly membership. It's got everything I need, free weights, machines, smith machines, cables, pull up bars punch bags, a matt area. The cardio tread mills are unreal.There is also a vast amount of supplements. The staff are super friendly and knowledgeable.

I recently joined this gym and was very impressed with the level of cleanliness at the facility and well equipped. The customer service is also something to be mentioned, the staff goes above and beyond to accomodate your needs. It definitely feels like I found the right gym and will be keeping my membership for a long time.

Although I have only used it for a month because i am traveling. I still can feel the enthusiasm of the staff and other users. This gym is truly designed for locals. If I have the opportunity to return to Thamesmead, I will definitely go to this place again. Thank you for allowing me to have a wonderful experience.

Family run gym. All the staff are friendly and welcoming. Great equipment and very reasonable price and membership options. The other members are also very friendly. Having tried many gyms all over London this is I'm opinion is the best in the south east and one of the best in london. Keep it up!

Perfect gym if you are serious about your working out. Very friendly stuff and no contract which is a bonus. The gym could open a bit earlier and could shut at 10 like most other gyms. Very good place to workout

If you don't miss areobic classes this gym has everything you need. Huge area so never feels busy. Lots of equipment in good working order and for a £15 joining fee and £3 a session you can't go wrong. Love it!
