This is my second time reviewing this store and I couldn't be happier, after my purchase of Brooks Adrenaline GTS's some time ago, they're going strong! My wife and I revisited to get her some shoes because sketchers just weren't cutting it. Lachlan has helped on both occasions and been absolutely phenomenal, he's extremely professional and knowledgeable, has patience and brings out multiple shoes catering to what's right for you and listens to how you're feeling, with no pressure what so ever. Lachlan's communication is 10/10 and we left happy as can be. Good shoes are expensive, but from first hand experience, they're worth every dollar, especially with insoles to compliment. (We accidentally stole a pair of socks.. sorry Lachlan, I'll return them next visit, as rest assured, we'll be back!)

Went into the Southland store and received great service from Rob. However upon more research of the brand of shoe I was sold I discovered that the supplier had the shoe for $90 cheaper advertised on their website. When I called the store at 9am no answer so left a message to return my call (it still hasn’t been returned 7hrs later). I spoke to a online chat person who said someone from the store would be in contact shortly (that was 2 hrs ago). I had to try and ring them again and finally got to speak to a staff member who told me they don’t price match and that I can return the shoes for a full refund if I wasn’t happy with the price! Sad to say I will definitely be buying shoes else where from now on! It’s very disappointing that they are happy to rip customers off

After trying 3 other footwear places nearby came to Athlete's Foot and was blown away by the service. Lucy was super helpful and friendly and wanted to actually serve me. Unlike other places where customers are seen as an interruption to their conversation. I'm sure the fit machine thing helps but it wasn't just that, she knew what she was talking about and straight away brought out 3 different pairs that fit perfectly the first time. Also on that Athlete's Foot had size for normal people (I'm an 11 or 12). Once again other stores blame supply issues at the moment, but clearly AF can get them so mustn't be impossible. Will definitely be back when next I need shoes and won't waste time going to other stores.

Staff started to serve us, went to get shoes for son to try only to decide to start serving another customer, leaving us waiting. When I approached another staff member to give feedback at frustration, son still waiting, even though she said she was the manager, at no stage did she attempt to just say sorry for the miscommunication let me get you sorted. No accountability, no acknowledgement of feedback other than sometimes we have to multi task. I had to point out 3 other staff were free. Yet again nothing. Invest in basic principles of training your team on service & build some culture.

Highly recommend shopping at this store! I am SO THANKFUL for the quality service I received the other day from Jarrod!!! He knew exactly what i needed & was full of knowledge & i just wanted to say a huge thank you!!!! I came in in agony from my shoes after work & could barley walk & needed help in finding the right shoe fit so i could continue to work / walk without pain!!! I was able to leave the perfect pair of shoes & I haven't had an issue since!! I am so thankful I came into this store and was served by Jarrod! I am so happy!

I purchased shoes online because we are on lockdown here in Melbourne. Not being in the footwear industry myself, I have no idea that "(D)" means a wide fit. I would have thought that a description like "WIDE FIT" might have been more useful to consumers. So they arrived and are far too wide for my wife. Her birthday present is useless and now Athletes Foot are telling me that returns are taking at least 4 weeks to process. Great experience Athletes Foot! Thanks for adding to our lockdown stress!

Purchased pair of Brooks 20 Glycerin runners. I have always been an ASICS man but after the recommendation from the young man who I can not remember his name I decided to give Brooks ago. After 40kms of running so far they are considerably more comfortable and definitely offer more support around the heal area which previously was causing me some discomfort. If you’re looking for runners then I would consider the Brooks 20 Glycerin. Happy running

Expensive, quite ordinary service (no empathy) and overcharged for one pair of shoes. Sticker on shoes said one price, charged another. When I queried the next day told the sticker was an oversight and nothing they could do. When I mentioned this was false advertising, still didn't care. Only seemed to be when I stated I would raise this with Head Office that there was a turnaround. 101 customer service...customer was obviously right...

Absolutely fantastic service provided at this store with very friendly and knowledgeable staff. Did not feel for a moment that I was being pressured to make a purchase but was provided all the necessary information about a foot condition I have at the moment and left extremely happy with my Brooks Adrenaline GTS 22 and some Planta Fasciitis insoles.

Rob I at Southland store was so helpful. We needed specific, lightweight, waterproof shoes for my husband and I. Rob sized us and fitted us up with much patience, kindness and professionalism, throughout our trying on several pairs of shoes before finding the right ones. A very positive experience. Thank you!

What a great 1st experience at this store. I bought a pair of Hoka runners after foot surgery. Steven showed me various pairs and professionally measure what I needed. Although the pair I wanted wasn't in stock, 2 days later they were delivered to my home. 1st class customer service. Well worth a visit.

Our second visit after being extremely happy with Rob previously. Again received great knowledgeable service from Dina, even though all staff are running off their feet on this very busy Sunday. Besides the helpful staff, the MyFit 3D is a real great tool to help us with the right decisions. Thank you.

After ordering a pair out shoes, following up twice to no avail, follow up 3 months later to find out the shoes did arrive, and got restocked after they neglected to contact me. Wouldn't have reviewed, but server managed to be distant, condescending, confrontational, and alienating all at once.

Tried to do a simple exchange, staff member was impatient and unhelpful. Told me she couldn’t do exchange and there are other customers waiting. Store culture seems to be to push through customers at the expense of service. Took a call to the head office to sort out. Very disappointing

First time getting fitted properly for runners and so glad I did!!! Staff were amazing, I highly recommend Rob. He was so helpful and thorough, and not to mention friendly and patient with my indecisiveness. I don’t usually do reviews, but hats off to Rob. Amazing service !!!!

The staff member Ben gave outstanding customer service i was very impressed with his knowledge of all of the brands of the variohs shoes in store. The first shoe he put me in after doing there instore test was the perfect shoe and the one I purchased Hoka one on one.

If you are serious about a pair of shoes that fit properly and are fitted to suit your feet and walking or running style, this is the place to shop. The prices are not cheap, but the service is excellent and your knees, ankles and feet won't regret it.

Rob from Athletes Foot, Southland did a wonderful job fitting me for some new road runners. Very professional and lovely to deal with. The other staff member at the store was also very attentive to other customers too! Overall a wonderful experience.

I just purchased a new pair of running shoes from Sean at Southland and it was an excellent experience. He and the other boys in the shop were very helpful and actually listened to my requirements, and tried hard to accommodate me.They done good.

I have some issues with my feet as I am a diabetic and suffer from peripheral neuropathy. Patrick was very reassuring and recommended a pair of Hokas as being cool but comfortable. I couldn’t be happier with the shoes, and the service I received.

Mark was so helpful and knowledgeable! No pressure to buy, either. I had a really good experience. The only thing I would say is ask the customer if they are happy to be scanned and if not offer measure feet the old-fashioned way.

Had a great experience at the Southland store yesterday. Patrick helped me pick out a pair of Hokas and was very informative and knowledgeable! I’d recommend anyone to go visit this store if looking for some runners!

Sales training gone wrong. Staff will greet you so they can tell other staff members they are fine and ignore you while they try and rack up mutiple sales. Pity they cant manage it

Good selection and friendly staff. Staff could do with more training wrt types of feet and prices are a tad steep. Still left with new Clarks for my son.

Staff are excellent. My podiatrist works here once a week. If the shoes you want are not available in your size, they will order them in for you.

Always helpful and friendly, knowledgeable staff with a good range of runners to choose from. My feet really appreciate it on my long walks.
