I've bought classic lit, fiction for myself and my brother, (not a huge selection of fiction, but still great if you want something unique) found a copy of the complete short stories of Edgar Allan Poe that I was on the hunt for, and even found a copy of the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations that i'd been hoping to find and was on my list for awhile"

Wonderful store! my dad and i have been to several bookstores in Edmonton but this is our favourite! I've bought classic lit, fiction for myself and my brother, (not a huge selection of fiction, but still great if you want something unique) found a copy of the complete short stories of Edgar Allan Poe that I was on the hunt for, and even found a copy of the Oxford Dictionary of Quotations that i'd been hoping to find and was on my list for awhile. definitely didn't expect to see it in any physical store! highly recommend if you want to find classics, older editions, or are interested in philosophy or religion. Just a fantastic selection, great prices and the man running it is also very pleasant.

Love this place -- definitely on my list of favourite little finds. It's a great place to peruse, and find things you may not find other places. They have some books that are excellent prices, but they also have some that are very overpriced and can be purchased new from the publisher for much less (even with shipping costs). You definitely have to watch, ask questions, and dig around a bit, but they are a great way to spend part of your day.

I found several books here that I haven't heard of before especially their classics, it was an awesome book shopping experience and I would never forget their accommodating staff. I found nice selection of books from different genre. I had a peaceful book shopping experience since there were not a lot of people when I visited the place. It was a nice place and I like it as well.

The Bookseller is very competitively priced and has the largest collection in Edmonton of used books in the areas of Theology and Biblical Studies - with constant new supply coming in. It also has a large Philosophy section and decent Literary Criticism and Religion sections. They provide excellent service and are incredibly helpful.

Wow!!!!!! Don't even bother going to any other bookstore, you'll just be wasting your time. This is THE place for every book you're looking for and every awesome book you didn't even know existed!!!!! I was also treated with respect and kindness, which, as everyone knows, is extremely rare these days. Thank-you!!!!

Excellent selection of hard to find books. I was able to find three very hard to find books at this store. It has an excellent religious history section including primary sources from many great thinkers. Very good general history and philospohy section as well.

I'm from out of town. Have finally gone to every book store in Edmonton. This one is the best. Great selection, great prices, friendliest guy at a book shop I've ever come across. I'll be returning every time I'm in town and they're open. Highly recommended.

  • Julie May

Great staff, energetic and friendly. Prices a but high for me, but I still found a couple books worth it. Focuses on good to excellent condition books and or collectors books. Tons of history, war upstairs more eclectic downstairs.

The best used bookstore in Edmonton! Amazing selection of philosophy, literature, theology and so much more! Amazing rare finds and the owner is very knowledgeable and friendly. Plus the prices are extremely fair. Love this place

Lots of selection of all sorts of books from history to fiction to special interest books. The typical old fashioned used bookstore where there's a treasure buried in there somewhere. The owner was very friendly.

Great selection of classics and friendly atmosphere, my wife and I agree its what a used book store should be, real books with hard covers and substance in the reading. A great find in the big city.
