Service is always good. They always get what I want on BluRay! Good Price! I am someone who has been shopping at Wee Book Inn since 1989. So I enjoy Wee Book Inn's, 50th Anniversary, Reusable bag that they have available. I have had six of them in total, but everyone who has seen it. Has loved it. I have just given it to those who love it. I'm left with 2. it's 2023 and Canada has gotten rid of plastics. So reusable bags are a necessity. Wee Book Inn, sells these bags for $15. Sounds expensive...but to be sincere. This bag is not cheaply made. It is made of strong material, and it also is...washable. It is large enough to hold anything you may put in it, and it is strong enough to hold, allot. This makes this bag in my opinion worth the $15. Not only that everyone who's seen my bag has wanted it...which is why I gave them away. If that is not enough to get you to buy it...Wee Book Inn will give you this bag if you spend $100. As I said, I had 6 of them...yes, I have spent $600 to get them...but if you go in and look around, it is not that difficult to buy $100 worth of stuff. I am always happy with my Blue-ray purchases and my book purchases on Art, Buddhism, and Stephen King novels. So Thank You! Wee Book Inn for the Decades of wonderful customer service and the, over (and counting)1000 Blue-Ray's in my collection.

This is a really good second hand book store. I must note they do not have a large ya section, but that's the only thing I'd change. I love coming in to browse, and often leave with a bunch of books. The prices are very reasonable, ranging from $1-2 for clearance books up to $20 for new or very popular ones, though collector's items can be much more. They accept books (especially required reading for classes) for donation or for sale, depending on what their stock is, and they will buy the books from you and give you either store credit or money in return. They also carry a great selection of fun reading and have books required for school as well. I got all my books for English 30 there, and sold them back for store credit after too.

A nice addition to downtown, this used bookstore has many different genres from westerns, romance, and fiction, to manga, comic books, and graphic novels. I would definitely recommend this place if you are Downtown Edmonton and wanted somewhere to walk around and browse. The prices are very affordable, and reasonable. On the one long wall, the shelves are designed so that you need to sift through the books to view all the titles, which is a bit of a poor design, but in the end works out as you end up reading a lot more titles that way because you can not skim the walls as quickly. It was a very chill environment, and I ended up getting a book myself. The cat on their logo is the cutest thing I have seen today. Great used book store!

It’s a typical book store based on the fact I went in and bought books even though they were not the books I was looking for. They also have a cat which is pretty cool cause I like cats. On top of that the book I grabbed that was on sale had a loose page so they gave me that book for free which I appreciated seeing as I normally wouldn’t buy a book with loose pages but I really wanted that particular book and for 3 dollars I figured I couldn’t go wrong. All in all I’ll probably come back and buy more books to add to my looming pile of books to be read.

Love love love this store. Open late. Great place to meet a date. Now that we don't have video stores to go on dates to, we have to find other places and let me tell you there's nothing funnier than talking about all the different books that you've read in the past. I find they have a great selection and reasonable prices and who can't love the cat that's running around. The staff always seemed pretty cool too. And did I say they're open late?

  • Vincent Wolfe

Very friendly staff member, was eager to strike up a conversation. There were a good selection of books in a variety of subject matter, even some interesting old computer books. We enjoyed our visit very much, and the only thing that would have made the visit better is if the sci-fi/fantasy area was a little better organized, it was functional, but needed some tweaking. I will go back here next time I am in Edmonton.

Awesome second hand bookstore! I've always liked this store (2 locations - downtown & Whyte Ave.), but only found out recently that you can put in a request if they don't have the book you are looking for. I got a call back a week after I put in my request that the book is available for pick up. And they can have the book ready for you at the location of your preference! I'm going back for more for sure!!

  • Charles Castro

It was a humble book place that I like so much because of the nice selection of books. You will find a lot of interesting books and enjoy your weekend reading their books at peace. I also bought a few from the literature corner because I got curious with the books. You can also find enjoyable comics at this store as well. Their old books were still of quality and the prices were affordable.

The best used book store in the city! When we were downsizing our library they sorted through hundreds of our books to pick the ones they would buy from us - the offer given was fair and the option to get double the value on a store gift card was really appreciated! We've also made use of their request services when they will contact you when a book you want us brought in.

  • Sarah Tuininga

The Wee Book Inn is such an awesome location to find used books. They've got a lot of contemporary ones, but the real treasures here are the old classics in beautiful bindings. All the books are in fabulous condition. The prices can be a kind of steep, though fair for some of the collectibles or hardcovers. The best value are definitely the scores of paperbacks.

  • Selina (Sphynxee)

I adore going into Wee Book Inn all locations around Edmonton. The customer service is always phenomenal and extremely accommodating, the environment has a good feel to it, quiet and quaint and of course the cats are an adorable welcome addition. I pretty much can't pass it by any time I'm near. Plus it's best to support local and used books. Highly recommend!

  • B

my husband and I used to go any wee book inn in the city and after covid it has shrunk to 2 locations in the city... great selection of books good for many who are on a budget and love to read than blinding technology devices... help donate your already read books and post their services... they still do trading books

  • Jennifer Seifert

Pocket books and comic books. Get your picket books and comic ooks here. Want collectors books? The Whyte Ae location has you covered. Looking for a book? They have a website that you can leave a request with. Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Plus the smell of books! What are you waiting for? Get down here!

These book stores are gems! In a time when Amazon seems to have all but taken over and big box stores like Chapters are closing locations, Wee Book Inn is still there, providing a service no one else can or does. Where else can you find out of print hardcover classics which are decades old? …

  • Jade Bartlett

Love it here! It’s hard to find used book stores that carry literature of substance these days. But Wee Book Inn never lets me down. Wonderful curation of poetry and sweet little feline friends to keep you company while you shop. Trading in a few books in exchange for store credit made my day!

  • Bailey Boyko

Absolutely fantastic book store. I went in because of the cat and spur of the moment asked if they could recommend me something similar to my favorite series. They did and they were able to give me the reading order and put on hold/call me when they found other books in the series.

  • Victor Rodriguez

Stumbled upon this gem as I was visiting the city for the weekend. It is a a nice retreat for any book lover. A little bit of everything and they don't have it the owners will happily track it down for you. Only wish they would give away those cute cat bags with any purchase :)

  • Lisa Marshall

This book store was popular among my friends, they frequent this place a lot if they need to read interesting books. I bought a cooking book because it made me so curious I ended up buying it instead of my original plan to buy a nice fiction book to read during the weekend.

  • Dezi G

I have loved this store since I was a kid. The smell of old book, the excitement of books, magazines, cd, dvds etc and let’s not forget their mascot kitties. Fun way to spend an afternoon shopping or trading your products and then enjoying them when you get home.

  • Jon Reaves

I don't think I've ever been here and not bought something. It's small, but quiet and easy to browse. Books are actually not much cheaper than buying new...Despite this I've bought probably 30+ books in the last year from here. The guy that works there is nice.

  • Patricia

The downside to visiting this vendor, if you're driving, is parking...anywhere. I had a big haul of books, so walking any distance wasn't feasible. A great selection of books and very pleasant staff. You don't have to buy new to be well read. Cheers.

  • Chelsey Canning

The staff are super sweet and their cat Fleur is precious. A little anti social but I would be too around all those people. They helped me to find a book I wanted were very friendly and made time to converse with me as well. 5 stars definitely

  • Coz Bird

Always a treat! This is a cozy bookstore with a wide variety of used books. I love ducking inside when I've had a bad day to pick up something to read. The staff is friendly and happy to help, but will also let you browse without hovering.

  • Conor Hildebrandt

This place is great, really cool bookstore with all kinds of unique choices. Honestly I just come here for Catfish coffee but I appreciate that they carry It and if I was a more avid reader I'd definitely come get books here

  • Cole Wiebe

Best place in Edmonton to buy old books. They found me a boom I've been hunting for like 5 years and they're finding more for me as we speak. Also very courteous and understanding of travel delays due to heat and rain.

  • Lauren Hannah

Always been a magical place for me since I was a kid. The smell of paperbacks, the resident cat, finding hidden gems on the shelves...a great place to spend some time browsing. Definitely a landmark in Edmonton.
