Came here for a Tribes event featuring Ben Sims b2b DJ Bone. Had visited the old venue many times and enjoyed the vibe. Entry into the club was swift and quick (11pm) Search was firm but fair. The club appears to be an old repurposed office or college building. We wandered around and thought initially the venue was empty but in the middle of the building is a room with a low ceiling that was packed. The sound system in there was superb and the lighting although minimal was clever and effectual. Drinks were fairly priced especially when compared to some other London venues, Barstaff were very fast, pleasant and nice. Security were around and about but looked like they had little to do, a few having a laugh with the crowd. Quite shocked at all the poor reviews on here and a London friend even mention a horrid time she had had visiting the Cause, I myself dont recognise anything from them on my own visit. I'm unsure whether the crowd was full of Cause regulars or people there for that specific Tribes/techno event but everyone was mega friendly and chilled, that middle room was absolutely buzzing all night. I'm probably 20 years older than most of the events attendees, it was my 45th birthday and this was one of the best nights I've had in 2023. Can't wait for my next visit here.

Had a fabulous time with HAAi at the Cause, stayed until 5am. Well managed queues, plenty of bars with no queing at all, affodable drinks. Organisers started queing people before letting them to the main room to manage the capacity - was managed really well and saved some space on the dance floor. Toilets sparkingly clean - not sure what the other reviews complain about. Really fun and engaged crowd - no chatting, lots of dancing, people really went for the music and a created great atmosphere. Staff were super friendly and fun - everyone was so chill and had a good time! Star deducted for the ventilation, it was pretty unbearably hot in the main room and you couldn't realistically dance for more than 30 minutes without having to step out to cool down. Othewise a great venue, will hopefully come back!

We paid almost 30 quid to see Ross from Friends play for no longer than an hour in an event organised by Percolate. The event was sold out which meant that it was so crowded that a huge number of people were left QUEUEING OUTSIDE the main room not being able to see the main event! The main room where he played had no access to toilets, an outside area or a proper ventilation system (several members of staff tried to install fans right in front of us that wouldn't work!)...This meant that if you wanted to leave the main room to get fresh air/needed the toilet you would not be able to get back in. Our friends missed all his set due to this because they needed the toilet right before he played. I have been living in London for over a decade and have NEVER witnessed an event so poorly organised. Absolute rip off. Shame on Percolate!

Went for the CarniJam on Sunday. Lack of info to get our tickets, thinking it was full, but still managed to get some in the morning for 22£. Expected way better considering the reviews of the venue and the price. Set list on a cardboard badly done, no decorations at all on site, only one stage with a lousy soundsystem, no actual carnival spirit. Toilets were really dirty, no trashcan on site. But the worst was that there was no coherence between the artists, leading to a huge loss of energy at the end. The announcement at 8pm to lower the music because of the neighbors was the ending point of our night. Luckily the people attending were great, but that's it. Put some investment on the site guys, you can (and should) do much better with this huge potential.

Went to Adonis yesterday. 2 hour queue to get in. Queues to get everywhere. The worst was when the event ended and everyone had to wait 2 hours outside in 0 degree weather to get our coats from the cloakroom. Won't be going back as this venue is so badly organised and kept. There's other venues more central and easier to get to that actually look after their guests as human beings. Photo attached shows hundreds of guests waiting in freezing temperatures outside for their belongings which were incorrectly placed in the cloakroom, with contents of their bags missing as they picked up and chucked it around trying to find people's correct belongings in the mess.

Went to Avalon Emerson on 9 Dec. Queue to get in took about an hour, and queues for toilets took about 20-30 mins. On our night, the queues for coat check and drinks weren’t bad, though. The space inside is SO cramped, dance floor just isn’t big enough for the number of tickets they sell, especially for a winter show where people are more likely to stay inside. It genuinely felt like a fire hazard in there! The traffic leaving was HORRENDOUS, and we left about an hour before the club shut, can’t even imagine how bad it would have been if we’d stayed until the end! DJ was great, but I wouldn’t recommend this club at all and won’t be coming back. I say this as someone who goes to clubs fairly regularly and enjoys them.

I originally rated this place as 3 stars, due to a few incidents one night. I have since visited a few times with different promoters. I have to say the venue needs work - ventilation is terrible and the choice to have smoke machines in that space leaves your throat and lungs raw the day after a party. Please prioritise sorting that out. Other than that, the system in some rooms isn't amazing but the vibe makes up for it. The venue seems to welcome underground parties, and fringe promoters who are doing something a bit different than the trashy, corporate night life in the rest of London. I am very interested in seeing how it evolves.

  • Nick Morris

Ignore the negative comments. We were there this wk end for haai all night long. Everything was bob on. Couldn’t fault the place. Staff on the door welcoming, no moody security, fair prices at the bar and the venue its self is really bizarre. Like nowhere I’ve been before. A great little explore around the place opens up loads of corridors, stairways and other rooms you’d never think were there. Haai was superb and smashed it out all night as always! ok the sound system and the best and the main room is roasting but it wasn’t an issue all night

Went to a music promo party, music and food was amazing and reasonably priced. The security was friendly. The manager on duty was very racist and sexist. He picked personally only on the skiniest girls for dancing, using very heavy handed words with the brown one, while ignoring multiple bigger men for doing the same thing. I was not affected by this but this was great injustice which no one should be affected to. Toilets and mirrors didn't work but the manager didn't seem to care about that. Very spineless display by a manager, for picking on the weakest people he could find.

  • Muhammad Shahab

The toilets were an absolute filth, I would rather take a dump with my dog then take a dump in them toilets. The place is nearing a collapse as the building needs a complete structural survey for the safety of the general public. No ventilation or an AC, this place is good if you are on a death wish and wants to commit a sweet suicide as after sometime you wont be able to breathe. Attend at your own risk.

I went to the Cause last night and my friends phone and wallet were stolen. When we left there were multiple other people talking to the security guards and it turned out at least nine people had had their phones stolen. My friend had seen the person who they thought was doing it and was describing him to the security guards, but they were not particularly bothered about what he was saying. Need to be better, other clubs in London would have cared more / done something about it.

  • Harry Rudge

Constant queuing the entire night in freezing cold temps temperatures, no staff were around to take any responsibility for the chaos that was happening especially at the end of the night when the cloakroom queue was over 90 minutes long in the freezing cold. Many people’s belongings were lost and the list goes on. Better queue management is needed at the venue ASAP.

Adonis used to be one of the best nights out in London. Sad to see that it turned into another London club that tries to squeeze in as many people as possible and way above what any reasonable person would consider an acceptable capacity for a DANCE club. If your idea of a fun night out is to simulate riding central line during rush hour, you're in for a treat. Don't expect any space to move.

  • Alex Harris-Jedamski

For anyone who loves to just have a fun dance to good techno and house, in a relaxed, happy and unpretentious environment, this club cannot be beat. Their support for charities is icing on the cake. If you are comfortable dancing before there are loads of people on the dance floor, it is worth going early to enjoy some great djs just having fun.

  • Charlie Couve

Way over capacity (for the MOTZ/Randomer night) to the point there was no space to dance. Terrible toilet situation, queues for 25min+. Very good sound system and nice selection of drinks. Light production pretty average. Bouncers friendly and quite relaxed. Would go again but hope to see some alternative toilet solution and not over capacity

  • Varun Luthra

Went for a house music night a few days back. Pathetic venue with a bad sound-system. Not sure how a party with one of the legendary artists like Rhadoo could be organised with such bad sound system. Had my hopes high, but had to leave after 2 hrs of disappointment. Money wasted.

Best club in the UK (unless you like overly commercial places with airport security entrance policies). Always feels like home coming here. Had some of the best nights of my life and made some important friends. Glad they finally started selling decent beer, albeit cans of red stripe. Anything but five points is a win though x

  • MrFuzzyFishies

Really nice club space, excellent sounds system and well run. Drinks average London price. Some excellent lineups but dissapoingly almost exclusively techno - definitely needs a more diverse range of bookings before it can be considered a 5 star venue. Awful toilets.

  • Inacio Martinelli

We all love The Cause but the cloakroom system on busy nights is shocking. I had to queue 45 minutes in the freezing cold just leave my jacket in the cloakroom. Only one staff working at the cloakroom on a super busy Adonis night. Sort it before you close.

  • F.A.T.P Hip Hop Show UK “fatp_hhsuk”

Attended the venue traveling down from Leicester for DON'T FLOP battle rap tryouts. Being early in the day the venue's full potential was nowhere reached and we would definitely like to venture back for an evenings reveling in the near future.

  • Tom Blain

I could never fully connect with the music since the sauna level heat meant I probably spent more of the night outside. Hope they can fix this issue but until then it's very off-putting. Shame because they host some great lineups

  • Joey Nathan

Favourite night club in London for techno and experimental electro music! It has great music, a great system and people are super chill and open. You can turn up with friends or on your own and still have an amazing time.

  • Levon Barkhordarian

Great space but shocking sound system. Pretty embarrassing which is a shame as the venue has lots of potential. Overall weak sound system Amazing bar staff Abhorrent bouncers Enjoy your night guys Keep safe

Very disappointed. Overpriced, badly organised, big queues to enter and for the cloakroom. Bars were not enough and understaffed. If you're unlucky you wait under the rain for good 30min for your coat.

  • Mark Miller

Nice club, friendly staff, good sound system and lights. Do not expect a 5 stars club but it has a good vibe and 3 rooms. You can pay drinks with credit cards which is very handy. Poor choice of beers.

  • Robertas Norbutas (Rob)

Double charged at The Cause last Saturday 12th Sept and ended up paying £100+ for 5 drinks. No one has replied to emails or contact forms. Very disappointed and completely ripped off

  • Super Genius

Go for the music. Stay for the music. Stay late for the music. Drink plenty of fluids. Dance like no one is watching. Show the DJ some love. Tip your bar staff. Do it for the Cause!

  • J

The ‘warm up’ party yesterday was perfect! (helped by the weather of course) Super friendly vibe, not too overcrowded, good food and crystal clear soundsystem! Well done guys …

Lovely venue but absolutely horrible security and head team. Do not care about the safety of their patrons, very sad given the current climate. AVOID AT ALL COSTS!

  • Sarny Gonzales

Accidentally ended up here when heading to Grow. There was an awesome night with techno in many flavours. Danced happily until 5am. Tottenham is where it's at!

  • Franco Tocci

What a disgusting experience… no ventilation, no AC, no fans… nothing! You literally dance 5 minutes and need to walk outside to breathe. So disappointing!

  • James N

Amazing staff, great vibes and excellent music. It can get a bit hot in the venue and drinks are a little pricey. However, this won't stop me going back.

Cracking night out. Good sound system, lack luster lighting, good drinks available, ok-ish prices but what made it was the crowd. Safe.

Arrived 40 minutes early for a set just to get in 40 minutes late. 2 security guards doing bag checks for 500+ people is crazy.
