"Very high quality cakes and pastries, all baked fresh every day - many with a New Zealand twist eg Ginger Slice and Afghan Biscuits"
"This place is amazing! There is a queue out the door all day every day, which tells you a lot"
"Popped in for a quick coffee and grabbed a chocolate croissant"
"What's a good yardstick by which to measure a bakery? Its meat pies of course! And boy are they good"
"The cook and baker is a fantastic location to have premium products such as sandwiches, coffees and especially the cakes and muffins"
Very high quality cakes and pastries, all baked fresh every day - many with a New Zealand twist eg Ginger Slice and Afghan Biscuits. Excellent coffee and quick service - they also do catering. I'm a local and it's my constant downfall as I walk past in the early morning - buttery croissants still warm from the oven mmmm!
This place is amazing! There is a queue out the door all day every day, which tells you a lot. Fear not though as the queue moves quickly. Great coffee, amazing freshly baked food, definitely a highlight of Bondi Junction. Very limited outdoor only seating so be prepared to wait or take your food elsewhere.
Popped in for a quick coffee and grabbed a chocolate croissant. Coffee was very good. Croissant tasted good but was soft rather than crunchy and flaky as it should be. Probably would have been a lot better if I came in the morning. Cakes looked delicious so will have to come back to try a few more things.
What's a good yardstick by which to measure a bakery? Its meat pies of course! And boy are they good. I would even go so far as to say that the lamb pie was possibly the best pie I've ever eaten. A touch pricey though which brings the score down. Will be back!
The cook and baker is a fantastic location to have premium products such as sandwiches, coffees and especially the cakes and muffins. Been going here for well over 8 years and know the staff well. Very pleasant atmosphere with like minded people.
Still a favorite - New Zealand goodies meets master baker. The breakfast bar is spectacular, as are the individual, square veggie quiches. Their salted caramel bar is miles above the everyday caramel slice, ginger crunch and lolly slice all
$9 a pie? Tell them they’re dreaming. Worst pie I have ever had. Where do I start. Filling bland and tasteless as it was just mince a few vegetables and no Sauce/gravy inside. Then we get to the base. Very very oily which caused the base to
Come here first thing in the morning whenever I can to get our favourite croissant fix but always we were met by a queue, and the queue is only for local bikers, joggers and just casual hungry residents like us! Really happy that they have
Years after bursting onto the scene like a pamplona bull, this place has shifted across the road, and the throngs have followed. For the most part, the offer is the same, but it's been "dumbed down", with many of the more colourful offers,
The Brownie. Today I had my regular 2 pm chocolate craving and so naturally I walked around the corner in the direction of cook and baker for a chocolate croissant. To my dismay but not so much my surprise, they did not have any left so I
The staff are absolutely lovely and the food is always delightful. The husband has however, noticed that the thickness of the quiche (the one I normally get, pumpkin feta) has gone a bit thinner. The ratio used to be half pumpkin to half
We love C&B, the sandwiches, cakes, croissants and bread have been amazing but we’ve noticed your sourdough has changed over the last few weeks. It’s lighter, drier and a different crumb. Bring back the previous bread please!!
The savoury tarts are fantastic. The sandwiches are a bit pricey, but consistently very good. I think the sausage rolls are just OK. I get drawn here at least once a week because the quality of ingredients is spot on.
Best of the best in Sydney. Huge variety of delicious goodies. In the mornings there is always a queue in front of it. Sometimes it’s annoying to wait for 20 minutes just for a tea..The staff is kind and friendly.
The coffee here is pretty close to perfect. There is an awesome assortment of sweet and savoury bites to compliment the excellent coffee. Service times are also very fast and the staff efficiently hospitable.
Tasty treats. Not a full breakfast, but perfect for a light breakfast or snack. Friendly staff although not exactly the quickest service - they are quite busy, so some wait is expected but worth it.
Some bread and milkshakes. Bread is hard and wet, milkshakes is just a cold milk in a disposable cup. We just left them behind. The reason for two stars- at leave their service is nice and kind.
We ordered croissants and pastries here on a rainy Monday morning and there was still a queue. But service was brisk and efficient. The food was very good. It’s quite the local institution.
Great lamb pie.(overcooked -my bad) Came back in Dec 2023 and tried their savoury tart and Reuben sandwich. Both are amazing. I literally envy the people live in Bondi now. More
Busy bakery with very appealing selection of savoury and sweet treats. I ordered a frittata which was full of flavour. Eat-in at tables outside or a little bench inside.
Lovely sweet and savoury pies and cakes. They do catering as well. Highly recommended if you are throwing a party and need quality and healthy bakes with varied options.
This is one of the best bakeries in Sydney. High quality coffee, delicious tartes, and amazing cakes. The cupcakes and caramel brownies are to die for. Worth a visit!
After the amazing success of last years ladies day, Southern Districts Rugby Club again asked the wonderful team Cook & Baker to provide their event services.
Great big chilled cabinet showing off all of the wonderful sweet and savoury treats with a window at the end looking into the newly fitted out kitchen.
The best baked goods in Sydney - my go to anytime I want to impress my guests. Thank you for letting me be annoying and order over the phone xxx
Baked goods - are good Other food :Toasties, are not good. Not seasoned properly, unbalanced (cheese/pickle), dry, no lube.
Delicious little coffee shop bakery. The coffee is very smooth and creamy, absolutely delicious.
Consistently great coffee and a friendly team! Beautiful bread and cakes baked daily.
