My husband and l had been here once before, so it was an easy decision to choose Circa 1884 for my family to join me, when celebrating my 70th Birthday. As there were 10 of us, they set us up in an area to ourselves, which made it a bit more personal. We all enjoyed picking out cocktails from their extensive list. And if we weren't too sure Nick from Circa, was excellent in recommending something to suit. And then l ordered a mixture of tapes platters to come out during the night, again with the help of Nick. The food was amazing. During the night l was just looking at my family, chatting, laughing, enjoying the food and drink, with the perfect music to enhance the atmosphere. I could not have asked for a better night of celebration. All my family absolutely loved the venue, cocktails and food. Thank you Nick and all the other guys, to make me feel so special and giving the best night, even better than l thought it could be. I can highly recommend this place for a small function or an relaxing evening for 2 or more. This is now my favourite place to go to, and l can't thank them enough for the joyful night we had. It was absolutely perfect.

I came here to brag about my experience. My husband surprised me for a date night here tonight and I was so impressed. I’m a huge mixology / cocktail critic and I take my cocktails very seriously - these guys are more then experts. Their exquisite cocktail menu offers a great variety especially for those with specific taste! We ordered 6 different cocktails all of which were overly delectable. Completely blew me away. We ordered tapas chips, olives, pork sliders & the platter all of which were absolutely delicious and complimented the cocktails very well. The atmosphere is eclectic with its history, moody, gentlemen’s lounge style which I really liked, felt cozy like I was sitting back In the 1800’s but a classy futuristic feel at the same time. Customer service by the whole staff was absolutely over exceptional. You guys completely made the experience levitate to a higher level. So classy. Loved the bar, cocktails, food, experience, atmosphere, customer service. So happy we live only a 3 minute drive away! Our new favourite place. Thank you!

Awesome funk playlist, friendly staff, excellent cocktails. The atmosphere in here is awesome. The tapas style menu was sufficient and all the food was tasty. Everything is on the pricey side but is about right for this kind of place. The service was super friendly as others have said, and it makes all the difference... although they didn't seem to have a system for who was looking after which tables so we ended up being overserviced. When you've finished your drink and don't want another one but just want to digest your food for a bit, being asked if you want another drink 4 times in the space of 10 minutes is a bit much and makes you feel like you are no longer welcome. The high backed chairs look really cool but they are not comfortable for normal sized people (let alone short people like me) and are no good for relaxing. Which is a shame because the vibe is relaxed!

Circa is an exceptional venue. Berwick is fortunate to have one of the finest venues outside the CBD. It’s got class, the decor, atmosphere, ambiance, it’s just sexy….. Cocktails to die for! It's rare to find a place like this in the suburbs, but it is an absolute gem. Great range of delicious cocktails, we tried about 12 different ones between our group and didn't find one that didn't taste great. Decent range of whiskey too if you just wanted a dram. The service was very friendly, welcoming and efficient, we were never left wanting. It can get busy on weekends, especially with limited space inside. We sat outside, however we were still comfortable and still received excellent service. Update 2022- Still the same amazing service and cocktails as always. We always love coming here because we always feel so welcome.

What a place! This was a great experience from the service at the door to the amazing drinks and food. The ambiance was spot on and really made the night feel so special. This was a perfect mix of quirky and sophisticated. Now as promised, our waiter Jack was exquisite! He was friendly very knowledgeable about the drinks being served and helped make selection that we enjoyed thoroughly. Although very good at his job he was also witty and had a friendly banter that made the night the special evening it was! I’d love to take this time to thank Jack and the rest of the staff for a brilliant night, we will be back again soon!

I’m not one to drink cocktails I normally stick to the only 2 I like being mochito and caprioska but these were not on the menu. There was 4 of us and we ordered different cocktails I tasted all but 1 as 1 was coffee so no thanks! All 3 I tasted were delicious. The one had see pick was fab I even had another!! Great atmosphere and service. Will definitely be going back and will try the food next time.

What a spectacular surprise, looking for somewhere on a Friday night and stumbled upon The Courthouse Circa. From the moment we opened the door to be greeted by a smiling young man dressed in period clothes, it seemed like an adventure. Tapas, cocktail's, service, music atmosphere were a definite 5 star . Can't wait to share this find with family and friends.

Stumbled onto this place when our other plans got ruined. So glad we did as everyone was so nice and inviting. Such cute, intimate decor with high back velvet/valour chairs and an old style but modern vibe. The food choice is tapas style and limited, but we enjoyed everything we ordered. The cocktails were fabulous, too. Love to come back again.

This is the place to be everything from the food to the services is outstanding, not to mention to cocktails. If there is no cocktail on the list you like, they will recommend one that suits your flavor palette. You feel welcome and relaxed when you enter the door. The place’s ambience is so calming you feel at home. I will always recommend this place to all of my friends and family.

There is nothing better then swinging by here for a drink. They are the warmest, friendliest and most accommodating team that is feels like your coming home. Cocktails are delicious, varied and always adjusted to your needs. Food is exactly what you need whilst drinking the night away. Lucky to have this as my local watering hole :P

Fantastically friendly, attentive service and a superb range of cocktails to satisfy every taste. There's also a selection of quality small plates to complement the drinks. A nice atmosphere with comfortable high-back chairs to separate each group. Highly recommended.

Love the guys here. Never have they not made us feel welcomed and loved. They know their customers by name and bring the experience to life. You can never find a better drinking environment because the staff will always take care of you.

Great cocktail bar on Main Street Berwick on the corner in the old courthouse. Intimate setting inside and a nice garden vibe out front. Awesome old fashioned not on menu, ask and you won’t be disappointed.
