DO NOT GO HERE!!!!!!!!! The WORST experience I’ve ever had with a restaurant. We ordered food, the food was delivered to the wrong house and the wrong person; when we called the delivery driver they said that we picked it up from him when we didn’t. They described the wrong house and continued to lie and say that we picked it up. When we called the restaurant they weren’t cooperative at all, they continued to say that the delivery driver gave it to us when that never happened, when it was CLEAR that the driver was LYING, the manager got defensive, got petulant and rude over the fact that his driver was lying to him and to us. The manager continued to argue with us over the fact that his driver “wasn’t” lying, opting to say that the house that the food was delivered to somehow had our names and our details and therefore “tricked” his driver. He refused to acknowledge that the food was never delivered to us, and was not helpful in the slightest. Do NOT waste your time or money on this awful place. The manager said that we needed to call menulog, where we ordered from, and then he would authorise a refund. When we did that the manager continued to tell menulog that the food was delivered to the right place and refused to give a refund. Menulog had to compensate us for this terrible situation. Again, do not waste your time trying to order from this terrible place.

Worst delivery, pizza is burnt, and got the order wrong to boot. Ordered off of Menulog at 6pm, told me it would deliver at 7:45pm. Ok fine. 8:15pm, call Menulog, same story as everyone else - independent drivers for the restaurant, can't cancel, they'd have to get a refund from the owner Mohammed. Menulog talks to him, he says delays because of rain (this is like 1 hour and 15 minutes past the original delivery estimate). Menulog relays that if I call him on his mobile, he will give me in-store credit for a future order for the same value? Ya okay whatever, read the previous reviews (which I should have done before ordering) so kind of expected I was out my money. 9:20pm, food finally arrives, delivery guy acts like he's doing me a favour. Pizza is ice cold, slightly burnt, (edit: not slightly, just burnt) and reminds me of frozen pizza from Coles. Absolutely suggest that this restaurant with its really bad reviews and constant stories like this doesn't get anyone elses money. Order from Domino's instead. They're 5 star compared to this cardboard served ice cold.

This place has horrible customer care service for delivery. I had ordered my food and waited for TWO HOURS and when I called they still stated that they had delivered. I had to walk around and outside my apartment to find my food on the footpath in front of an shop that was at least 100 meters away from my place. The labels were torn and when inspecting my food, half of it was missing. I called again and had to deal with the restaurant talking over me (over and over!!!! I had to raised my voice before they listened!!!!) and denying my claims and when I pressed them on it they said "the delivery boy is new" as an excuse and refused to do anything about my missing order when it was fully their fault. PLEASE PLEASE PLEASE don't order from here, the food is not great enough if you have to deal with the lack of customer care. I'm sure the only reason they even have customers is because they open late. Extremely disappointed and dissatisfied. Literally ruined my entire night.

Ordered Uber eats and did not receive an order. Because they deliver from the restaurant with their own staff you can’t see any tracking information. After 45 minutes I call and they claim that they already delivered it and called me multiple times. I was waiting in the lobby for the driver to show up THE WHOLE TIME. The manager on the phone was incredibly rude and kept changing the story from it being already delivered to it being brought back to the store because I didn’t answer their calls. This is all false as my call history does not show anyone calling me AT ALL. They kept saying that if I wanted my food I had to walk there myself and pick it up, even though I’ve paid for delivery and tipped!! I kept asking if they would just cancel the order on their end so I could just get my money back and they refused.

After moving house for 13hrs, we finally finished @1am. Not thinking I would be able to find any place online for us to order dinner, I was happy to find this place. Placed the order and after 1hr and 15mins, I decided to jump on google and read reviews. My god, was this s**t entertaining!!! 2:30am and I am pissing myself laughing at the reviews. At this point, I didn’t care what the food looked like, what random place it was left, or how it tasted. I was so excited to see what was going to arrive and when! Food arrived at 3:30am, and, and,and, IT WAS ACTUALLY GOOD! I jump on here to read the reviews when I need a good laugh, and they do not disappoint! Have you seen the one, where the pizza was left in a lane way, down the end of the st, in the rain, and when they found it, it was full of roaches. Brings a hilarious tear to my eye!

Worst place ever Appalled by this place I waited 2 hours for my delivery I rang up I didn't even say sorry my two children went to bed starving they did not offer me any discount auto throw in a free dessert or anything then once the food arrived it was all completely wrong I then rang up again to complain they told me they don't care they are busy and that basically they just care about making money they had no consideration for my children the owner is a money hungry rude obnoxious man the pizza was wrong the steak for my daughter which I asked for with no sauce was drowned in sauce so she couldn't eat I have work in the hospitality industry for 12 years and I am 40 years old and have never experienced such rude and unprofessional service.. will never go back here and I do not suggest anyone ever decides to support this business

Ordered via Menulog. Food arrived 30 mins. late. Was cold, dry and almost inedible. Called Menulog who couldn't get in contact with these people. Called the restaurant myself who was quick to dismiss me by saying to take it up with Menulog. Get an email from Menulog telling me the restaurant has refused a refund on the grounds that the food ended up arriving at my place, when instead a refund was requested because the food was of a poor quality and inedible. If the owners are reading this now, I have been a customer for many years and am generally very patient and tolerant of an occasional bad order or two, which has been the case throughout the years. However, this is the last straw for me. I will no longer be returning and will be warning others to think twice about ordering from you. Well done.

i ordered a pizza via uber eats, was told that the pizza would only take 15 to 30 minutes and it arrived after 1 1/2 hours. accordingly, we called the pizzeria and wanted compensation. however, we were told that it's not their problem and we should contact the uber eats driver, even though uber eats said "wrapping up" the whole time, so it's not the driver's problem. they just hung up on us on the phone and after several attempts to call them, we were rejected again and again. bad service, bad pizza. please don't order. it’s not the drivers problem! I would prefer to give zero stars, but unfortunately this is not possible

If you could give negative stars, this place would qualify. Ordered a pizza and a lasagne via UberEats. The lasagne arrived but the pizza didn't. When I called them - apparently even though the delivery guy wasn't given the pizza, it's his fault because he didn't take it. And then I looked at the lasagne. I thought I should try it, since it just cost me $40... Yeah nah. It tastes worse than how it looks. And that's after I removed the 1cm layer of oil floating on top... Community service announcement: Go to Macca's. The service is better, the $$ is better and it's a healthier option. Yep, the worst meal you could ever eat at Macca's is still going to be better than going here.

One of the worst gourmet pizzas I ever got. I ordered a gourmet vegetarian large pizza for $20 and it had no toppings other than cheese ,tomato, pineapple on some slices and olives 5 in total. I was surprised that it had fries on the top of it.I asked the guy where is the artichokes and goat cheese which is meant to be on gourmet pizza as per description and he started looking out for and found one thing strip of artichoke in the whole pizza but could not find the goat cheese at all. They never said “sorry sir”, we can fix it but started arguing with me. I should have trusted ratings before going there. This is a real , genuine review not a fake one

We ordered through deliveroo and waited 2 hours for an order that should’ve arrived within an hour. It took us calling the restaurant 3 times for them to even contact their driver to ask where he was. The staff at the restaurant were reasonably accomodating and we weren’t disappointed with THEIR service until we actually receive our food and I ate the blandest risotto in the world and my boyfriend waited 2 hours for what tasted like a rubbery FROZEN pizza (from a supposed PIZZERIA!). I understand that reviews are very important to the ranking of a business on google but we always try and give places a fair shot. We won’t make that mistake next time. Trust the ratings.

Wow. I was genuinely blown away by how much they lie in their advertising of their pizzas; it's actually impressive. Roasted potato, in reality, are frozen chips which have been distributed over your reconstituted, acidic, pizza base. Goat's feta cheese is all been a memory, as you try to deny the fact that you have purchased something so abhorrent. But it continues to exist. How can we possibly make it go away. The bin. It is the only answer. If only it could have read this review, before purchasing my life's worst pizza. I would have lived a happier life. All that I wish, in my dying hour, is that you might succeed, where I have failed.

Ordered through MenuLog. Expected delivery 1 hour and 10min for but food never arrived which seems to be a common theme regarding delivery for this place. Also it seems the quality would have been terrible anyway. Ended up ordering from Manoosh instead which was a very good decision, good quality, fast and better priced. The Darling Pizzeria is PATHETIC and noone should order from this place. Edit: the delivery dude arrived 2hrs 10min late (11:04pm) for a total of 3hrs 20min since ordering. I sent him away as I had already arranged a refund with MenuLog. I ordered Manoosh at 10:23pm and it arrived at 10:50pm. Damn that is what you call service.

First foodie stop for us in Sydney is here. Been getting pizza here since the 1980s at all hours of the night. Says something when a pokey pizza joint amongst the priciest realestate in Sydney can still make a go out of pizzas for 40 odd years. Delish in all respects. Again, tonight yummo. The best!! I think this might be a scam business? I ordered through Deliveroo tonight against my better judgement (as they have extremely low ratings and I have walked by in the past and thought it looked super dodgy) but they were one of the only places delivering at 1.30am. It is now 3.30am and my order is still "being prepared". I have tried to call 5 times and it just rings out. I think they are home tucked up in bed. I wish I was. Avoid at all costs! Go hungry and have a big breakfast. *EDIT* my pizzas just arrived after 2.5 hours and they are stone cold. I also ordered chips which are missing. Delivery driver was clueless

I ordered through Deliveroo and Darling Pizzeria use their own drivers. I waiting over an hour and got in contact with Deliveroo who tried to make contact with the restaurant and had no luck. Then I had a notification that my order was delivered... it wasn’t. The team at Deliveroo tried to call them another 3 times and still couldn’t get through... I was furious and starving. I had to order from elsewhere. THEN right when I was going to bed, my apartment buzzer went off and the pizza was delivered, 3.5 hours after I had ordered it and had dinner already. Gave it to a neighbour and went to bed. Never again!!

WARNING!!!! STAY AWAY FROM THIS RESTAURANT!! Its a real wonder that these guys are still in business given the current situation with covid 19 and their strong commitment to providing the absolute worst experience to anyone willing to spend money at their establishment. Long story short, the delivery driver kept ringing me on my phone asking me to pick my order up from downstairs I.e. meet him at his car because he couldn't bother parking. After complaining to the restaurant and 30 minutes later he delivered cold food. On further inspection of the food, I discovered that the food had also gone bad.

I ordered the Bolognese Pasta and the Chicken Mushroom pasta and a garlic bread. BOTH pastas were so over peppered that it made the dish spicy. It was horrible, I wish I had of checked the reviews before ordering from here to save my money. The only good thing was the garlic bread. So I paid $52.71 for food that we couldn't eat besides the bread. I couldnt give a review on Uber Eats as there was no option so I came here. After all that, we ended up going to the conveniant store around the corner from our hotel and got a sausage roll each for dinner instead which tasted much better.

Similarly to other reviewers, I ordered delivery from Darling Pizzeria last night that never arrived. The phone was disconnected the entire night so I had no way to contact the restaurant and check on my order. For others that have the same issue, I’d recommend disputing this transaction with your bank so you can get your money back, and I would also recommend reporting a consumer issue with ACCC (you can Google both of these things to get more info). The business should be held accountable for their illegal practices.

Even 1 star is too much. Not recommended. Not edible at all. Yuck!!! The pasta sauce was so watery, just like soup. The pasta it self was so overcooked and mushy that it couldn't even be picked up with a fork, just broke into a mush. Not that it matters since it was not edible anyway, the portion is so small it did not even fill half of the container it came in (see photo) What a rip off. I could not eat any at all, I had to bin it. I was so lucky to have other food in the freezer that I could defrost.

I saw a cockroach climbing the walls next to me, and the service was terrible (waiter was taking a phone call on bluetooth as he took our order and continued to speak loudly as he walked up and down the tiny restaurant). Had the worst Caeser salad that I couldn't finish. Pizza was average but it didn't make up for poor service and cockroaches. Don't eat here, it's definitely not worth it.

Atrociously rude, unprofessional and illegal trying to get a customer to pay more money for an already paid order because their codes and pricing was wrong on the app and website. In a service based industry this restaurant is an appalling representation of the industry. Do not order through here unless you want a stressful experience and terrible food. Each pasta was cold, tasteless and watery. Yuck

They took way too long. After waiting an hour, I ordered from another Italian place (Bar Italia), which arrived within 45 minutes. I checked back at my order from The Darling Pizzeria and it was still 'being prepared'. At this point it had been 1hr 45mins since placing the order. I gave up after 2.5 hours and requested for a refund, which Uber Eats thankfully gave me. I'm so glad this place doesn't get my money and I hope it doesn't get yours too. Save your time and order elsewhere.

I hate giving bad reviews and usually I only comment on good/great places and this is one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I ordered a chicken burger and chips using Menulog and the food was horrible. So disappointing. If you like KFC or McDonalds, they are actually better. Chicken looked like those frozen ones from the supermarket. Menulog team said they didn’t want to provide any refund or solution to my complaint. I wouldn’t recommend this restaurant to anyone.

Disgusting food proper make you sick! The pizza base is store bought, the cheese is gross, they said our pizza came with 'potato' and it came with chips on our 'gourmet' pizza. If I could give zero stars I would. This place is an absolute disgrace and the owner is incredibly rude. I ordered through Menulog and they washed their hands of it saying that I had to deal with the restaurant directly. The man is abusive and wouldn’t cancel our order after we waited nearly 3 hours. The kids were crying because it was past their bed time and when the food finally arrived it was burnt to a crisp - we all ended up eating toasted sandwiches. Beware!

We got a pizza deal yesterday. We ate less than 2 slices because it was so terrible. The pizza and garlic bread were overcooked and tasted terrible. We contacted the restaurant to discuss, before we submitted a review. The person dealing with us, was unhelpful and argued about the state of the pizza. He said we were wrong, even though we provided pictures of the burnt, uneaten pizza. We will not be ordering from here again and wouldn't recommend others to either.

I had the half n half gourmet pizza: peri-peri chicken and darling special. They both taste good. I also ordered the classic beef burger. It was not bad for a $9 burger. However, I noticed a depressed area on the center of the bun (see the photo). I wonder if the person who prepared it accidentally puncture the bun with his bare hands/fingers. And I had their chocolate mud cake which is just ok I think, it should be a bit moist.

Food was delivered with a meal missing. When I called the restaurant the person was insistent they put all our food in and it wasn’t their problem. It’s your food and your reputation, maybe do something about it? The food was hot, but honestly the flavour was bland. Creamy pastas were basically just cream with little meat added. The chicken wings tasted like nothing. Not worth it at all.

Their gluten-free pizza bases Are actually good, which is pretty hard to find, they were a bit scarce with the toppings. I don’t normally leave a bad review. However, the pizza I ordered through Deliveroo was burned to an extent that was almost uneatable. The taste really shocked me. I can do better by myself with an oven and a frozen pizza from Coles and I am known for being a bad cook. I was wondering if it was because the order had been placed at midnight. But it is still unacceptable for a midnight pizza to be this appalling and disgusting.

I almost gave up as I had to get to bed but was starving so ordered from another restaurant. Suddenly it arrived without warning and now i have too much food that i won't be able to eat! Very bad experience, owner himself not using gloves while making pizza. I can see kitchenhand washing noodles without gloves, boys eating in kitchen. Specially this covid 19 time they should be more careful but no in return they are saying it’s depend wether we can use gloves or not!!! I ordered the family meal 7 which was 2X Spaghetti Bolognese, 2X of garlic bread, a salad and 1.25 bottle of solo and delivered by deliveroo for $41, what a deal and it was delicious. The Bolognese was full of flavour, meaty and a enormous portion!! I am so satisfied and very full. I will be ordering again from this place very soon. Thankyou for my delicious food!

Absolutely disgusting, I ordered pizzas from this establishment, base of the pizza was under cooked' it was literally ineadable we had to throw it out, also ordered salt and pepper calamari which tasted like it was purchased from Coles frozen section. Will definitely not order from here again

I ordered a large gourmet pizza with shrimps, capsicum, basil pesto, peri peri sauce. 1h20mins delivery time..ok..but the pizza was cold and had to re heat it (and wait for the hoven to be ready). Toppings: 4 slices out of 8 had no shrimps (?), base lacking of tomato sauce and especially basil pesto on the top‍♂️ …

Giving it a zero because they scammed me. I ordered through delieveroo and they said they “took a photo” of where they left my food and apparently “tried to contact me” and now I can’t get a refund of $60.00. SCAMMERS DO NOT BUY FROM HERE!!!

We went here because of a voucher deal, and I'm so glad we did. The BBQ Meat pizza was amazing! The base was perfectly cooked and they were not skimpy with the toppings. This pizza is probably in our top 3 ever. The staff were very friendly and service was quick. Beer and wine prices we very cheap (always a big plus).

We were staying at Rydges hotel as had a flight the next day. Since there was not enough available in the hotel menue. We found this place . First of all, we ordered three water bottles and one was already missing. Secondly the pizza was cold and pressed. I should have read the reviews before making an order. My bad.

Cleanliness needs to be assessed. You could literally see the water was being taken from. The atmosphere is downright depressing.

The only late night eats in Sydney when all else is closed. The menu is big enough to keep u happy. Great mud cake and good crust on pizza. Only something always missing from late orders—usually dessert-the delivery boy I suspect. Never had a bad meal and order from them at least once monthly

Pretty average actually the chips were amazing but ordered an aussie didn't get egg on it and ordered a Pepsi off uber eats and got a warm coke zero

I went today to try their Pizza. The place may not be appealing to people from inside, but the food itself is super delicious! I reckon that what really matters. The chef was also nice. I also like they accept the NSW vouchers and that they offer discount when you order online.

Pizza isn’t bad, the Uber driver only delivered 1 pizza, 2 were ordered. I called to ask if he was only given 1 and the guy who answered the phone was so rude, didn’t even listen to me - just kept repeating to call the driver.

Food was average. Staff were scary and unsure what i was referring to on the menu. No where near as good as an Italian run, Italian restaurant. If your hungry at 2am and nothing else is open then this place does have good family meal deals and a big range on the menu.

I wish to give them a 0 because it was the worst food ever. I ordered a KING PRAWNS PIZZA and what I got was MINI PRAWNS like 4 prawns. The pasta was so basic and it took like 2 minutes to cooked so I guess it was like frozen or reheated. DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY HERE

The best Pizza in Sydney, plenty of topping, delicious pasta's and even better delivery guys who are always happy and very professional. My wife and I have been customers for years now.

Really disappointing. Ordered a pasta for it to be an hour late, cold and with bits of singed baking paper in it. Revolting customer service, refused any form of reimbursement or apology for this. Will absolutely never bring my business here again. Disgusting.

I had a generous size of garlic prawns + a period peri chicken pizza-nice but no peri peri sauce added. Nice marinated chicken. Well priced thanks

Was expecting really bad pizza, as the reviews weren't that great ..but was pleasantly surprised. The pizzas had generous toppings and tasted great. They even have me extra garlic bread which was nice. They were very friendly, Lovley service

The place is next to Darling harbour bridge, has a couple of chairs a table if you like to have the food right away. We ordered 2 medium pizzas for take away, it was ready with in 10 mins. Overall a decent experience.

I come back to these reviews every few months to enjoy all of the negative reviews. I’m still so angry about the horrible service that my friend and I received.

The chicken schnitzel isn't actually chicken breast. It a giant frozen chicken nugget - overly processed. If I wanted processed foods like that, I would have gone anywhere else and spent a fraction of the cost

Ordered takeout and it was very average. The bases are like a chewy sponge and the pizzas don’t have a lot of taste to them. I wouldn’t order again but it’s possible going into venue is better.

I wish I could give zero stars. I ordered the lasagna. But there are no pasta sheets in it. At all. The "herb and garlic bread" was just an explosion of burnt herbs that went everywhere.
