Was told that they try to sell you the most expensive shoe which was true however I understand that price can equate to quality. By knowing that they love to upsell, I found them very pushy in trying to make me pay for an assessment when I asked the salesman for a structured shoe since the one I tried on wasn't my fit. Instead of offering me structured shoes, he mentioned a foot assessment at R350 for the second time. I was about to close the deal by making a purchase but the salesman could not recommend me a shoe unless I did a foot assessment . They need to become less pushy and more friendlier.

I'm disappointed to see the positive reviews, unfortunately, I did not experience the same. I came in to purchase shoes and the gentleman ordered shoes for me. I came in on a Thursday and he said it'll be ready by Wednesday. It's been a month now and I've not received my shoes or any feedback. I'm constantly phoning to find out if my shoe arrived only to hear "I'll call and find out" but I don't receive any feedback on the outcome of that call. I'm quite disgusted and disappointed in the customer service.

Avondale Boutique Hotel. Bright sunlit dining room with a view of a small but soothing garden. Lovely ambience but very, very slow service. The waitress was nowhere in sight after we placed the order , nor after serving . Breakfast arrived 30/ 40 minutes later. A single croissant was served last instead of with the eggs. We ordered frittata and turkish eggs. Not earth shattering especially since we were not even offered an option for toast . Breakfast without toast ??? Not sure if I would return.

Definitely recommend this place. The staff are helpful and knowledgeable, and the prices are very good despite this, especially as a brick and mortar shop. I told the guy (Lovemore?) my requirements, weight, distance etc and he brought out 4-5 pairs of shoes for me to try on and compare. Ended up going for the Saucony’s and they were cheaper than I could find them anywhere else, including directly from Saucony SA online.

Fantastic service and amazing range of shoes! The staff are extremely knowledgeable and are brilliant athletes themselves so they know what they’re talking about. Very obliging when it comes to trying on different shoes and testing them on the treadmill. Justin is very good at running style analysis and shoe recommendations. There is a physio on premises as well as a great cafe. 6 star establishment!

Extremely knowledgeable staff who can help you make the difficult decision about which shoe is best for you. The selection is great. It makes you want to explore all the bits and pieces on your visit. Great coffee served outside is also a big plus. There are many shops selling shoes in Durban, but very few others offer invaluable personalized advice.

As a Comrades novice this year, one of the main questions is which shoe is the right type, and the right type for your feet specifically. Durban Runner made this very easy for me, with their knowledge, expertise and willingness to go the extra mile, they assessed my feet, and helped me select the right shoe. Couldn't be happier with my choice!

Sent to the Durban Runner by my wife's physio. When we arrived Lovemore was waiting with shoes as recommended by the physio. Nothing too much trouble, polite, very knowledgeable and reassuring. Ended buying trainers for wife and trail shoes for our daughter plus socks etc. The coffee from the stall outside the shop is also excellent

Excellent running shop in Durban. We went there because we heard they were very reputable with testing your feet and finding the right running shoe for you. Well, these guys are so knowledgable, and they did exactly that, found us the best shoe for our foot type. Excellent customer service, great shop!

Really nice store with what seemed to be a wide selection of shoes. Unfortunately, the salesperson who was available to assist me was less than hospitable and didn't create the welcoming "here to help/guide new runners" environment I was expecting.
