For background, I was there about 4 years ago; One lady in my party and I ordered the Caesar salad - we were both sick from that (most likely it was the egg on top) - I was quite bad for a two days, but the lady who was with me had to go to hospital, and was there for a few days. I had not been back since, and when I was told that we were going back there last night, I was a bit apprehensive. Was able to get in without VAX cert. (I have one - but I didn't have it on me) Staff were very nice. Now for the food.... All of the food came out presented very nicely. Some of the meals my party ordered included the following: Chicken Parma, Chicken Schnitzel, Eye Fillet Steak, Chicken Burger, and I had the Veg Felafel Chicken Parma: Made of compacted meat - (same type as "nuggets" but bigger), meat was tough, tasteless, and the breading did not stick to it very well. Chicken Schnitzel: Same; Was made of compacted meat - (same type as "nuggets" but bigger), meat was tough, tasteless, and the breading did not stick to it very well. Eye Fillet Steak: Looked very nice, but smelt of e-coli (2 of the party detected the same smell, as it was quite strong), I could not bring it to my mouth when I was offered a try. The person who ordered it ate it though, as they could not smell it at all. Chicken Burger: Looked nice, but made of the same stuff as the other chicken dishes above. The person who ate this said that it was tasteless. (He has had a stomach ache from it the day after) Veg Felafel: Looked nice, on a bed of salad, however; the felafel looked like felafel but hardly had any taste, were mushy inside, and seemingly mainly made of mashed potato with some chickpeas and parsley. It was edible though, and as I was hungry, I ate it anyway. Not even close to authentic, but nothing else was wrong with it. A small sauce was served with it - Mayo... I would have expected some Tahini, but there you go. Overall, Meh, and overpriced. To serve that glued, compounded chicken product is an insult in a restaurant - there must be better ways to save costs. It makes me wander what else they are doing to cut corners. Would I go there again? - NO.

Had lunch with family and ordered meals for our family of four using the QR code on the table. Got an error and when I asked the waiter he said "oh yeah, the QR code isn't working at the moment". Said I'd spent 10 minutes trying to order and suggested they put a sticker over the code so people don't waste their time. So off I went to line up at the counter to order, finally got to the front of the queue and was told it was the drinks line and I had to go in the other line! Frustrating. So our meals arrived just as our other family were finishing theirs. Food was nice. My kid's meals were supposed to come with ice cream but it was never delivered and I only remembered when we were on the way home. Kids playground is in need of a makeover. There were a group of 10 or so kids in there screaming so loud I actually thought someone was getting assaulted. They were kicking and punching the interactive screen and not one adult to tell them not to do that. My kids were too scared to go in. Don't think I'll be going back here again.

We came for lunch while scouting the place as we were looking for a kids birthday venue. The place is definitely spacious with options of private rooms for special events. There is a small indoor playground but it was not well maintained as it looks old and kind of dusty. We tried a number of different dishes and they all are a little disappointing. The spaghetti sauce tasted like ketchup, the cheese pizza had a thick and tough dough. The Croquettes had little fillings and the burger was just okay. The portion was big though and the service was friendly. Food - 3 Service - 7 Vibe - 5 Price - $$

Wow - I waited 50 minutes to get Paella that was burnt and all peas reduced to nothing and crispy burnt edges. No one could eat what was served up to me. It was delivered in a pan and and it was cooked far too long. It was no fit for eating. As I was telling the waiter that delivered it to me another elderly couple were asking where their food was as they arrived before we did. the could not get the attention of anyone so they walked out. My wife and 2 children had meals but I was there for 90 minutes without getting a meal that was edible. Then the guy named David stated that he would not charge me for the Paella like he was doing me a favor. This place has just had renovations and looks nice but the service and the food is horrible. Do yourself a favor and stay away. Kids running the place have no clues. Silly girl asked my how my meal was? Was you r Ok sir, I said what meal? been here for an hour and a half and watched my family eat but I didnt get a meal.

due to a large group, i had booked over the phone and the lady was very accomodating due to my uncertainty of numbers that she advised to call a few days before to confirm. i had requested tables near the play area and it was ideal as the kids could go back and forth from their table. however, the food was very disappointing on my part for the price we had paid for. i had ordered the prawn linguini and the pasta was overcooked, and pretty mushy and tasteless. the fried calamari and salad was lacklustre. to expect that the food quality being in well-known establishment in Caulfield would be at least an 8 was wrong. i get that there was another function at the time but doesn't mean the effort in meals suffer. i felt ripped off here. i would rather go back to The Boundary or Springvale for some satisfying meals.

Terrible! Forgot our meals (2 adults) whereas our children ate and the 6 other people of our table are. We had three waiting staff bumbling around trying to work out what happened and a manager as clueless as the rest of them. We were blamed for not using the app properly... yet our kids ate! A number of people on our table were missing drinks, kids meals and main meals. After an hour of talking to staff about our lack of meals and numerous promises that they were coming, turns out they had forgotten to make them on the third attempt This is unacceptable. There are 250 restaurants in the general vicinity that would have done a better job. Almost a year of not being able to go out for a meal with the hospitality sector begging for people to come back. We come and they fail to perform the most basic of functions. Terrible night our with friends. We'll never be back. - still hungry

  • Irving Dekterev

Seems like staff had no understanding/training in good customer service. As an example, ordering food took a very long time (even though we were there with young restless kids, and place was only half full, to the point where we approached the cash register to find out whether there was table service (after which point it still took our waiter 5 minutes to arrive - so maybe 20 minutes from when we sat down). Had to clear our own dishes to a nearby table so birthday cake could fit on the table, as waiter did not think to do this. Birthday cake arrived, had to ask for napkins with cutlery (should all come together, no?) Had to get up several times during the meal to catch waiter so we could get service. It's like they were avoiding eye contact - need to be much more aware. Food was ok, nothing to write home about. Just wish we had a better experience.

Had my younger daughters first birthday party at Glasshouse. Amazing place for kids to play and adults to enjoy over a drink. The staff was exceptional and service was fantastic. Special thanks to Devin who took care of each and every detail. Sorry if I am not spelling your name correctly. We also ordered some food platters which was great but the cheese platter was way beyond avaerage. One suggestion to the management/chef if you are charging $140 for a cheese platter please use fresh and gourmet cheeses don't just buy from any grocery store and put it on the platters. It didn't look appealing and looked really old and half the platters was wasted. Overall it was great and we would definitely return for a drink or 2.

This place is a rip off. Chances are, of course, the pokies machines will win and take your money. But seriously, their machines are like Hoover's. I won once and I've been going there since November 2020. I know a player who lost $39,000 in 3 weeks. Beware of this place for serious punters or casual visits. It never pays. The staff are rude and pretentious too. You say thank you and they don't say anything back. It's like talking to a door knob. Maybe 1 or 2 are nice but overall they're not nice. Funny thing is they're over staffed most of the time but they make you wait because they're too busy talking to each other and deliberately ignoring you. The ambience is nice but don't be deceived.

I ordered the Pescatore. The fish smelt, the prawns weren't cooked properly - all the seafood was bad - and the huge bowl of pasta was dry and flavourless. I didn't eat most of my meal, so I was asked if it was ok. I explained that it was pretty bad. I was told "I'll tell someone." Nothing more was said. My wine had clearly been open too long, but after this... What's the point in saying something. It would be too uncomfortable anyway. The kids' spaghetti was bland too. We added some salt :/ It isn't cheap and it tastes terrible! And not the business' fault really... My son took his shoes off to go in the playground (he thought he was suppose to) and one was stolen.

Visited today. Food was good but not as it used to be and multiple items disappeared from the menu. Kids area is good, but freezing cold so make sure your kids are well prepared. Staff were friendly and helpful except for the manager who almost kicked us out. No one told us about any “time limit” to stay, however the manager suddenly placed the invoice on the table; and told us that it is time to leave since you shouldn’t stay beyond 1.5 hrs. It would have been much better if we were informed with the house rules in advance. And being nice when telling people “it is time to leave”, won’t hurt as well.

Online booking was easy, the service staff were pleasant and accommodating, the venue itself is spacious and clean but the FOOD WAS AWFUL. In 43 years of restaurant dining for business and pleasure I have sent back only one meal, last night I sent back two, the entree (cold soup) and the main course (medium stake which was rare, almost blue). Soup was delicious when reheated, steak was not. Then my daughter’s Atlantic salmon looked great on the plate but was bland and tasteless. I was hosting a small dinner party for my granddaughter’s birthday so I was embarrassed with the outcome of this experience.

I walked from the last train in the midnight and feeling super cold since the temperature dropped, so I dropped by here. I thought they also sell coffee. After I ordered the coffee and want to pay, turns out they didn't received any payment since it's a complimentary drinks. But when I said to the employee that I didn't play any pokies, he's just chill and said that it's okay, I still can have my (free) coffee. Didn't get the chance to thank him since I'm still speechless. Thank you for the kindness, I enjoyed the coffee!

I've been here a couple of times now to watch sporting events like the State of Origin. They have a excellent size screen for viewing these events, the atmosphere is very casual but with a modern feel. There a basic menu for food and drink, but I believe you can order off the dining menu if you like?? The staff seem to have a can do attitude and aldo seem willing to cater for your needs extremely well. We intend to come back in the next few weeks for game 3 of the Origin series and looking forward to enjoying the same hospitality that we have experienced so far

About 16 of us met up for Seniors meal luncheon. The menu was varied and great price of around $12 for most items. You can add a soup or dessert for $2 . The staff qere very nice and managed all our requests. I had the seniors lunch of roast beef with horseradish cream. The vegetables were great and not over crooked. I also had the vegetable soup. Some others choice the dessert which looked delicious. The are is very large and spacious. It was not a noisy venue so we hear ourself talk. Ample parking across from the entrance. Definitely gives this place a try.

  • Damian Alonso

We had a reservation for a large party and unfortunately we had meals arrive 1 hour after ordering through the app or didn't arrive at all and we had to constantly chase personnel. Also ordering via the app means food is staggered and you don't eat at the same time. It would be much better to take a single order for the whole table and allow for split bills. Food was good and the kids playground was good, though difficult to keep an eye on the little ones from inside.

It was one of those exam days and I was too lazy to walk back to campus to get coffee. I had a take away soy flat white from here and it was really great. The place looks more of a fine dining and perfect for family or friends hang outs during the day of events. They have big screens to watch the events. The stone paved patio offers laid back seating. I wish I could click more pictures but, I was in a rush as my exam was in 30 mins. The place is well-maintained, even the washroom was spotless. The staff who gave me coffee was very friendly.

  • Mr. “Franz” Ribzz

The food was pretty good, no complaints. I ordered a medium rare Ribeye, and it was exactly as asked. Kids had a good portion of food. Only thing that was a little annoying was the constant hovering of some of the staff asking to take out plates when there was still food on them. Ended up just telling them, we will call you when we are done. Besides that great place to eat.

My expectations were low, but this was most depressing venue I’ve been to is years. It was lit and catered like a hospital ward. While eating your hospital gruel, you can spectate the gaming zombies wandering back and forth from the bar back to the gaming room while you listen to the sounds of several televisions competing against each other. I feel sorry for the wait staff who have to endure it.

Appalling customer service waited over an hour and a half for our meal 4 meals all ordered at the same time. No care in the world. I will never come back to this hotel. The duty manager who was on in the lunch period has no respect for the customers that enter the venue. I will praise the manager Mel who started at 3pm was terrific and listened to what we had to say in regards to all of the service issues that we had and then helped with the refund that we were told was being arranged before she arrived but hadn't happened.

Had a Sunday lunch birthday here. Food was very good with large portions. Not the cheapest place but think it's value for portion size. It was surprisingly empty for 1pm on Sunday so not much vibe but was great for a large gathering. Service was very good. Parked right out front as it was not busy. Would go again

The service is very bad and their customer service is terrible. We order main calamity plus some other foods after 45 min they bring the food which was entry they told they will change it after another 30 min after asking 3times they came and told you did mistake funny that they could tell us in the beginning but for $13 different they didn’t bring the food . Even for drink we order one small and one big but they serve two small. I went to talk to the manager but she was very rude too. Very bad experience.

Friends booked the place last minute on New Year's Eve. Lovely casual dining place with a venue attached. Food feels like pub style with a few home style dishes with Asian influences. The burger is massive. Be prepared to have a delicious mess on your hands. The seafood pasta was spicy and creamy, yummy. The beef noddle dish was not bad (was expecting more Asian flavour). Highly recommend the place. Also had a kids play area.

Easy place to meet up with kids in tow. Kids enjoyed the indoor play area. Staff were lovely and accommodating for our allergy restricted family and the 50 questions that go with that. Chef even came out to answer questions (before it got busy). We had lunch and arrived at 11:30, I'd recommend coming early to get your order in early. I got the impression that once the place filled up, the wait may have been less than desirable. We'll be back.

The schnitzel was so hard that my friend couldn’t cut it let alone eat it. It was sent back and the next one was dry and just as bad. The service was slow and we had to remind the staff to bring out all of our order. The place was empty at 7.30 on a Thursday night. It always used to be full or nearly full. It’s just not the same place as it used to be

STAY AWAY - go to Zagemes or the Racecourse Hotel nearby. We are business owners and get better customer service from our self service checkouts than what we have from the staff tonight. We place and order and sit down. Fine, I get my own cutlery. Chef refused to make changes to our menu and then decided to bring out the meal 30mins after all other meals coming out. The meal was wrong and half cooked…. Extremely rude service not even greeted. Would not recommend.

  • Kerrie Mould

What a huge disappointment, 3 of us had the t bone steak with garlic prawns. At $40 it wasn't cheap, came out with the steak on top of the chips therefore very soggy chips, vegies looked like they had been thrown on the plate, then the prawns were half shelled wich was fine but difficult to shell when hot. The worst part is they hadn't been cleaned, not happy trying to clean the poo out of a hot prawn. Will not be going back anytime soon

I had the ravioli which was quite underwhelming. I never add salt and had too to try and give it some flavour. My partner had the flathead tails which he enjoyed, my friend the linguine with seafood, although nice she was disappointed in the small amount of mussels.

Really disappointed unfortunately, as I had been looking forward to trying this place out for a while. The place was lovely inside... kids loved the play area and the service was friendly. However, the food was a big let down - especially with how over-priced the food and drinks were. Excessive amounts of salt (especially on the kids' meals) and the Chicken Parma was poor - deep fried and sloppy. A big (expensive) let down.

Never had been here before and thought we would give it a go for my daughters first birthday, it was so great everyone had a lovely time and said all the food was delicious and plenty of it. We will definitely be back and are currently thinking of having my mum's birthday party here, Big thanks too all the lovely stuff and manager that went up and beyond for us.

Went here with a big group. Great for kids as they have a fantastic play area. Check for specials as they quite often do a "kids eat free". Food is fairly standard pub fare. Highlight is definitely the pizzas. We ordered some as an entree and they were so good some of us had a pizza for dessert too. Note they have a big car park across the street.

Ordered a Parma from Glasshouse tonight, take-away. My goodness, how thoughtfully packed it was. Chips were still crispy when I got home 30mins after. Chicken succulent and not overly greasy. Salad was fresh and nicely presented. Very impressed and will be back. TIP: the pickup for preorders is right by the main entrance, at the opening windows.

I wish I could give a higher rating as I was excited to try but honestly not impressed... I paid $25 for the seafood marinara pizza and it's tiny! Don't put it in a large pizza box if the pizza is not even close to a small pizza size at a normal pizza place. The cauliflower is nice but again really small portion. I'm disappointed :(

We came here for the $49 3-course meal. Whilst you might think $49 might be slightly expensive, the size of the main is very much worth it. Genuine home-made style food. Add to that, the pleasant staff, the speed of each course, I simply couldn’t fault it.

Today my school went to caulfield racecourse for an excursion and for lunch we stopped at Glasshouse for lunch. A female member of staff was awfully rude, slamming food onto the table, sighing and swore at us when we were being polite. The manager had to apologise about this particular staff members actions.

What a find! Spacious dining area with different sections - we sat outside near the (incredible) kids play area and it was fantastic! Great food and a nice simple menu especially for families with young ones. The pizza's are definitely worth a try as was the curry, but the Paella despite the price, is the real winner! At times had to wait quite long for food and drinks even when there wasn't an overload of people there.

Ordered Calamari salad. The salad used old cabbage thus very bitter. Talked with kitchen staff and nicely ordered something else. New meal came with bitter cabbage again. Talked with the same kitchen staff. Responded that we sold it like that whole day. It's up to you.. Never back again!

Firstly, we are thankful that our local is still open during the pandemic, even if it is only for takeaway. We ordered online, no fuss, picked it up - hot, fresh and massive servings. Value for money is fantastic and the take away system is easy. Would recommend to all those within 5kms!

Disappointed lunch wasn't very nice no one enjoyed it. We were there to watch the weather races from Sydney and Melbourne and they had it on the small screen in the corner and when I asked if it could be put on one of the larger screen they said they were for the cricket and birdlsville.

Food prices are very expensive. Food is very very poor.... no flavor... poor presentation.. That type of place they pull out the food from the freezer and reheat. Can it be that hard to do food well? People only go because the playground which is very meh. Would not return..

Chicken parmigiana was solid; but a little pricey. Flourless chocolate cake and coffee was second to none. Kids Area was okay - didn't provide great sight lines for supervision & also visibility tape was missing from most of one of the glass panes enclosing the area.

Food was disappointing ... streak and vegetables and sauce tasted like it had been made much earlier and just re-heated up service. Kids enjoyed their food, and found the venue fun.

I had a great seafood linguine. The seafood was cooked perfectly, and the sauce was well-balanced. It came with garlic bread, which was the right side dish.

Service was incredibly slow. It took 2 hours for sweet potato wedges to come out and it wasn't a ridiculously busy day. Food was tasty but then again if you are shaking from hunger by the time your food arrives, everything is going to taste good!

  • Rosemary Carere

I was quite surprised. Hardly anyone in the place, but I ended up with a lovely dinner. The food was really nice.

I had dinner at the glasshouse on a Friday Night and it was absolutely empty. I was eating a bit early (6pm) as I had to head off to the footy, so that may impact why there wasn’t a lot of people but still I haven’t seen a bistro that empty

The mains came, and Amy was able to place them with no confusion. The unfortunate taste of the decor was soon replaced by the food. The awful decor almost disappeared. Almost. The tackiness of the place never really goes away but the

It was good this time. The food and service was good. The had a punt in the nice surroundings of the lounge. However, about two months ago, an out of control bunch were allowed to be as raucous as they wanted by staff and security.

We were attracted to this place because of the kids play area. However they neglect to tell you when u book that the kids play area has no air conditioning. In summer it is like a sauna in there.

Meals seem to have improved since last at this venue. I believe change in staff. Had delicious beautifully cooked 3 course meal and will be back.

Appalingly slow service. They said they were busy but when we arrived almost all tables had been served their meals and 30 mins after ordering 50% tables were not occupied.

Food here is quite good. Been here for around Christmas time for the past few years and food has improved a lot. Has a good menu and a really large vegan menu also.
