Good Afternoon, I had an appointment with Khalil on Wednesday, May 21st at 5:00pm. I requested that he help repair my incredibly damaged hair. As a mom of three with one more on the way and no time to maintain my image beyond the basics, I was more than overdue for a cut. Khalil was very kind and made me feel less self conscious about the lack of maintenance. He asked me what I was looking for and did exactly what I asked, indirectly, for. Based on previous experience with other hair stylists, I was wary of what he might do and how I would look by the end of my appointment, but he was able to read between the lines. He took about an inch off the ends as I wanted to keep the length, blow-dried my hair and brushed it with a round brush to give me large, soft waves. I am so excited about how my hair looks and feels but more so about how I feel. I mentioned to Khalil that I normally visit Joseph’s at Rideau as I had finally found a stylist who could manage my hair and actually listened to what I wanted. However, my recent appointment at Touch HD has made the whole process of going to and being at a salon, a wonderful experience. I want to thank Touch Hair Design for the gift certificate given to me by Hot 89.9. Having never been to you salon before, it would not have been a location I would have been drawn to under other circumstances. Your whole team was generous and kind and all offered me compliments on my new look. I would also like to thank Touch HD for assigning Khalil as my stylist. He is incredibly capable and talented. I am happy to say that I will continue to visit Touch HD for all future appointments and will continue to request Khalil as My Stylist. Thank you again, Jasmine

Short story: I have cut my own hair for years (right now it's very long, so I don't just want someone to chop like crazy behind my head,.. shudders..), it always looks great but I really wanted to go get my hair done by someone else (also loving the idea of someone else washing my hair).. So I googled places in Ottawa, I depend a lot on other peoples reviews and I know there are others like me, the reviews helped me to make up my mind...so here you go. I went down for my appointment, was stuck in traffic so I called them, they didn't make me feel bad even one bit! I showed up 20 minutes late (sorry!) and I was shaking inside trying to describe to her what I wanted with this service, it's soooo hard to exactly describe hair styles, so I took my time and probably was babbling. Maria was warm, very welcoming and took the time to listen to me before she even picked up the scissors. I was cautious and told her that I'm nervous and I need her to be descriptive about what and when she's doing something..lol, she never made me feel rushed and was very attentive. ---shampoo, conditioning, massage, blow dry & style--- Maria listened to exactly what I wanted, made great suggestions and took the time to go slow and make me feel at ease during the whole process. My hair looks AMAZING! It's still long & beautiful, soft and I feel great.. Thank you Maria & Thank you Hair Boutique! I cannot vouch for the others, as some reviewers have, but I def suggest seeing Maria. I know I will be seeing her for sure! xoxo

Horrible!! Booked an appointment based upon a convo with a stylist about matching my roots To the colour of my ends. I was to have my roots lighten then a toner. I mentioned that although i prefer being another shade of blond normally I can deal with this plan because I have an interview coming up. Went in the next day for my appointment - the girl did 3 Toners which did nothing but make my look worse and like a glow worm - the roots needed to be lightened before toning. I was in tears because of this shade. The girl I saw was telling me that I need to gain more confidence and just let my hair be.im sorry but she doesn’t have to deal with this . I didn’t want to pay but she said she would call the police. Finally the next day , the manager called me and wanted me to come in and sit with him - I don’t have time and do not want service at this place what so ever. I want my money back. He said it would take up to 2 weeks to process a chèque - why can’t I just go tomorrow and deal with it? According to him - since I work in law why can’t I wait and why do I need the money back. Very rude. However as he claimed in the phone he will give me my money back tomorrow so he doesn’t have to deal with me anymore .... very professional business practice I must say. I will update how this plays out because regardless my profession I should not be treated as such and my money should be returned with an apology—

I went into Touch hair salon the other day in dire need of a haircut. I went in more out of convenience than anything. I had been there several years earlier and had a very poor experience with own cut but a good one with my young daughter. I only went in to inquire this time around. I was greeted by Anna, who assured me that she could cut my hair the way I wanted and would make it look great. Due to my lack of time to go downtown, to my regular salon and my messy hair, I said yes. Anna did a fantastic job. She made me look great and gave me an easy to manage stylish cut. She took a lot of time teaching me what to do for various looks that were pretty easy. I am usually not too good at doing hair so I very much appreciated her patience and time that she took in going through the details. I am very happy with my experience and will certainly be back. I have already told a couple of people about this hair salon in the west end of Ottawa.

Update - I've changed my review to 5 stars. The owner emailed me after I posted my review to see what could be done to make my experience better. He then invited me to come in the next day (today) and he worked with me to give me a cut I liked. He shaped my hair while dry and wildly curly, washed then went over it again. The shaping he did really made a dofferdiff and I like the cut much more now. It's still very short but that can only be fixed with time. I felt so bad leaving the previous review but he didn't make me feel bad about it at all, told me I did the right thing. I will go back again. -------- I got a hair cut here yesterday and I hate it. I've never hated a hair cut before .The girl was very nice but she didn't do at all what I wanted. I cried myself to sleep last night. It's way to short and it is incredibly unflattering for my face. Immensely disappointed and won't return.

OUTSTANDING OMBRE!!!! Anna was my hairstylist she did precisely what I asked and my Ombre turned out immaculate, that’s coming from a perfectionist. I was hesitant to go to Touch Hair design, I felt like I was cheating on my hairdresser who’ve I’ve been with for 6yrs. I needed my hair done ASAP, my normal girl was booked and Touch Hair design was more than willing to work around my schedule. From the moment I walked in I felt at ease from the friendly atmosphere, great customer service and extremely personable staff. Anna was ABSOLUTELY AWESOME and is now my go to ombre girl! Jess was breathtaking with her pretty pink hair and her pleasant personality. Billy went above and beyond my high expectations and pleasantly surprised me. I definitely recommend you visit Touch Hair design if you're looking for an excellent hair salon.

I've gotten my hair done at this location twice now and the service has been amazing - Being a mixed nationality, my hair can be unmanageable but the staff here knew exactly what to do. I was used to having the same style and hair cut for years but decided to do something dramatic. Fabio, one of the stylists located here, did a fantastic job in giving me a hair cut and color that caught everyones attentions. The second visit there to get my hair worked on, Kal, another fantastic stylist there gave me a superb trim and style that looked just as good. Overall, I've had a great experience at this salon, and will continue to come here. Not only I, but friends of mine would recommend a visit here. Great job guys! Until next time! Jas

I had a wonderful time getting my hair highlighted at Touch hair design. The staff members were very attentive and worked well together as a team. My stylist, Moe was friendly and gave me good advice on how to achieve my desired look. He was also honest when he told me the potential effects of hair stripping and came up with a less damaging (and more affordable) option. Overall my interactions with staff members were positive, it really seemed like everyone wanted to be there and enjoyed their work. Which I believe has a significant impact on the way a person performs at work. If you are looking for a new stylist, try Touch, it was the best thing I have done for my hair in a while!

I walked in to Touch Hair design without an appointment and they were very accommodating and fit me in to their schedule. I had a colour and cut done. The colour came out perfect and the haircut as well. Fabio is the stylist that did my hair. Let me just say that the shampoo and head massage is worth a visit. If you have crazy thick hair Fabio is the stylist for you. I just trusted him to do the right hair cut and he did. I have worked in the hair and esthetics industry for 18 years so I know what a skilled stylist is. Fabio definitely fits the bill! He is not just a stylist. Amazing service for a great price! All the staff there are friendly and nice. I have been seeing Fabio for 10 years and when he moved to Touch hair design a few years ago, I decided to stick with him and commute 20 minutes to see it (where as he was only a 5 minute drive before). Let me tell you, he is worth the drive! All my family members made the drive (from Orleans) to see him. He is very talented and truly incredible! If you are looking for a new place to go to, Touch hair design is by far my favorite place to go and I highly recommend it to everyone! PS- Billy the owner is AMAZING; so friendly and loves his salon and takes great pride in his staff and clients!

The guys at Touch Hair Design are genuinely nice and great people. It was 8:03 PM, 3 minutes after closing, and I remembered (not sure how I forgot...) that I needed a haircut. A quick call and Billy told me that it wasn't a problem and that my hair will be cut. Hands down, one of the best haircuts I have ever gotten! I've been here numerous times before, but this took the cake. The fact that they stayed open past closing time saved my life, as I have a flight to catch at 4 AM the following day. I heard about Touch hair design on the radio station the new hot 89.9fm, also as a gift certificate winner I decided to give them a try. Being how I am, I was extremely nervous to try different stylist I booked an appointment with Peter. I was pleasantly surprised on how I was treated by Peter not to mention was extremely pleased by the cut and ended up rebooking my appointment which I never do! any one looking for a salon you got my recommendation.

I have been seeing Dan at Precision Hair Styling for 2 years now for tape in hair extensions and he is the best. I leave so happy every time I go in to see him. He does an amazing job and has really good quality hair. My own hair has grown so much and is now so healthy since I started getting extensions to ease the process as it grows. If you are looking for hair extensions I would book a consult with him, I promise you will not be disappointed!

a nice clean hair studio. so that's why I gave 2 stars. but as a haircut, I think I had better ones in the army. the Asian lady, I don't know her name, used a clipper for 3 minutes and a quick wash, which was not necessary and couple scissors moves for 2 minutes, and it was done. no attention to detail or anything. $28. my hair looked like I had an elephant sat on it for days. it sucks, would not go there again.

Just had my hair done with Belal, and the quality and service was amazing!! Even being the only one working on Sunday, and with a ton of people coming by, I never felt like he was rushing my service, and he really took his time and did such a great job, from making sure the color was perfect, to the hair cut and style afterward. I will definitely be a returning customer to him, and can't say enough good things.

I took my 16 year old daughter in last Saturday afternoon to have her hair trimmed. She had a dry cut with less than 2 inches cut off. It took about 10 minutes so I was very surprised to be charged $38.40. I have been to the salon before and have always been happy with the service and prices. However, as I simply cannot afford prices like that for such a small job, I won't be back.

I've had Yaqi as my hair colorist and stylist for almost 2 years -- she is THE best!! I've had my hair damaged from the sun, over processed, etc but she always manages to fix it with the right tone, color, shade. She understands hair-- I absolutely love getting my hair done with her as she makes the experience so much fun and always leaving the salon happy with my results

Overjoyed that I found this salon. Staff are exceptional and totally customer oriented. Fabio, my stylist, is superb. He listens, offers advice, and is completely trustworthy. When I first came to this salon, my fine hair was quite damaged from over processing and overuse of products.. Thanks to Fabio, I now feel much better with my hair. I highly recommend this salon.

Exceptional service, knowledgeable staff. Touch salon is always a fun and unique experience. The technicians are knowledgeable and experienced and the service is top notch. I have had the full gamete of services at this salon from colour, highlights, cuts, extensions and blowouts and I have yet to be disappointed. They do it all, and well! I'm thrilled I found them!

Completely unqualified to do a prom updo. Left after 90 minutes with an unfinished job: 1 hour with a stylist who walked away when he realized he was out of his depth, and 30 minutes with an unlicensed assistant whom he left with a mess. Had to go to another salon to get the job done quickly (which it was, with ease and grace). Beyond incompetent.

I have been going to Touch for the last year and a half and I always come out feeling great! The staff are good looking, warm, and welcoming always offering a beverage. Whenever I go I always feel pampered with Fabio, he knows hair and knows how to make a girl feel beautiful. I gladly drive an hour from Rockland to get my hair done.

I have been frequenting Touch Hair Design since its inception. No one can blow dry my coarse, wavy hair like Sam, my stylist. The colouring services are excellent as well. I find they are very polite, fair, professional and will go out of their way to accommodate their clients. I highly recommend this hair salon.

I went there and got a good hair cut for 35 bucks so my woman gose there to get her hair done thinking it would be the same price for hair cut and ahe got less har cut off then i did and she had to pay 65 bucks because she is a woman like how dose that make any sense she has to pay 30 more cuz she is a woman

Walked in asked for a haircut and the guy at the front didnt care and didnt want to help me. He was too busy texting on his phone to help and seemed completed uninterested in wanting my business. Cost me $35.05 for a mans haircut. I didnt ask but its hard to imagine how this could possibly be justified. I give the man himself 5 stars for the haircut. I give the owner of the shop 1star for being extremely over priced. I would never return because of this. Too bad to because i like the hair cut

Maria was so lovely - she was patient when I walked in with no idea what I wanted, and she was gentle and considerate during the cut, often checking in to ensure I was comfortable the whole time. I ended up taking 8/9" off, and I'm so glad Maria was the one to do it! Will definitely be back!

I left the salon very satisfied with my new highlights, balayage and haircut. The hairstylist listened to me and helped me figure out what I want. Welcoming and professional staff. The salon is very clean and they are following all safety protocols. Thank you and I will be back for sure !

I love going to get my hair done at Touch - I see Kal who is always able to get my hair exactly the shade of red I am looking for. Whenever I go in everyone is super friendly & I'm offered something a lovely coffee - which is nice when you are sitting around while colour sets.

I had a great experience! Billy cut and styled my hair and Anna cut my bangs. They were so friendly and the salon looks very clean. Once Billy dropped the comb and automatically went away to get another one. Oh and the head massage he gave was DEVINE. Really loved it.

Fabio is fabulous!!!! He is a great stylist. I let him do what he wants and it always turns out spectacular. The staff are super friendly and very accomodating. I even had my best friend dump her stylist after she got the Fabio treatment. Highly recommend.
