Well went with the idea of grabbing an experience, came back with an unfadable memory. Yes yes I will navigate to the part you all are interested in, however first I earnestly need to introduce the owner, MR Dragon, never have I seen such a charming host. I contacted him well before a month of visiting and not only he responded to all my queries and doubts meticulously, but kept in mind my real date of visiting and helped with cabs and other relevant details. After I reached the restaurant, he cordially welcomed me and stayed with me for a considerable portion of the time telling about the family, how they raise the snakes and described each of the dishes in a nuanced manner. They can show you from the inception on how they take out the heart and if you are bold and adventurous enough, you can try the pure snake blood which is later an ingredient towards the snake wine. Being a solo traveler, he recommended a bamboo snake for me, however for a group of 4-5 or say for sole purpose of hotpot, maybe cobra is better. They served one by one snake spring roll, ribs, skin, bones, lever and snake wine served in a vessel bearing a fascinating shape. To be honest, I was a but surreptitious of the taste, but oh boy all the dishes were too delicious and the snake wine with apt percentage of alcohol acted just as the cherry on the cake. Price was a bit on the higher side as you have to the order the whole snake, so if you are a group of 3-4, maybe per person cost would be quite reasonable.

It’s a once in a lifetime experience, even though if I ever come back to Vietnam, I would definitely visit The Hung again! Don’t know where to start from, we were warmly greeted by Dragon, who did everything possible to make us feel like we are at home. First we got water, beer and a bottle of Snake wine, which we thought we are going to just get a few shots from, but it turned out it was all for us, Woww! Than my husband got to play with a snake, I just couldn’t. Than we got snake dishes like spring rolls, snake egg soup, snake meat wrapped in a La Lot leaves and the fried snake bones with rice cracker, everything was so delicious. Dragon was keeping us company most of the time, getting us happily drunk, and being very funny. We even got to try the snake wine with snake blood, and the one with the snake bile as a treat from another very generous guest. We got to know a lot about Dragon and his family and their tradition of raising and cooking snakes, it’s pretty much a whole show if you come here with a group and order a whole snake, quite spectacular. To finish, I highly recommend the place, wish all the best to Dragon and his family and Hopefully see you again!

You HAVE to go to this place This was amazing. Definitely a different experience but you will never get this anywhere else and it is 10/10 worth it. Dragon was a really cool guy, the snake was actually delicious and I’d go so far as to say it will go down as one of my favourite experience in my life. I’d say you haven’t really been to Vietnam unless you’ve been here. Review cannot do this place justice you must try it for yourselves. My boyfriend said he wanted to try Balut and dragon went and got some for us and it was amazing. Incredible value for money. We did it as a couple for lunch but best experience would be with a group for dinner because you get a lot of food and it is all delicious! We watched the snake being killed and it was terrifying for me as a girl but I am so glad I decided to watch because you’ll never see it again in your life unless you come here. They go all out for you, all drinks included. Cannot rate this place highly enough!

First, please note that there are several restaurant spaces on the property. Contact Mr Dragon to ensure you go to the right place. Mr Dragon was an incredible host, he made all the requisite jokes about male virility while eating the still beating heart and drinking the rice wine with snake blood, he chatted with us, and made sure we were happy with our experience. We may not have enjoyed some of the dishes because they are contrary to our palettes, but we enjoyed the experience thoroughly. It is a one of a kind and once in a lifetime for us.

Booked a table a week in advance and spoke with Dragon, the owner—a genuinely nice and funny guy. Opted for the best cobra based on his recommendation, and it was a fantastic choice. The cobra was brought to our table, played with for a bit, and then expertly cooked. From snake spring rolls to minced meat, snake fat with rice, intestines, and more—the flavors were delicious. Dragon's trust was well-placed; the positive Google reviews were spot on. Every dish was a delight, and the service was top-notch. The entire restaurant was impeccably clean. This was those kind of a "once in a Life-Time experience"! We read an article about this restaurant and decided to go during our trip in Vietnam in mid-October and give it a try. The super attentive owner Dragon welcomed us very friendly and explained us about his restaurant, history, how and where he keeps the snakes, and how it has become an iconic and unique place in Hanoi. The cobra we ate was cooked in different ways and was delicious!! Open your mind and mouth and try it! Thank you for your great, friendly and professional service! Cała otoczka i pyszny smak są warte swojej ceny - polecamy gorąco :)

If you are adventurous with the food, this is the right spot to go. Dragon, the owner, was very accommodating, he personally took me around the place, showed around, and, as I came alone, he spent the entire evening with me. He speaks English, so it is possible to have a nice conversation with him. The prices are not cheap, but you totally enjoy the experience. Definitely worth it. It is better to go with some other people, so you can share the food and the bill. Everything was very tasty, especially I loved the spring rolls and sautéed snake with veggies.

Ăn rồi muốn ănlại nữa. Có cả Tim rắn đang đập và máu răn tươi nữa. Nhà hàng trên tầng 2, xung quanh rất yên tĩnh và nhiều cây xanh như o quê ấy. Giá cả vừa tầm Các bạn nên đặt trước để chủ quán có thể chuẩn bị loại rắn phù hợp với nhu Cầu của các bạn. Vấn đề duy nhất mình nghĩ là nên thay khăn trải bàn và hệ thống điện nhìn không gian sẽ đẹp hơn.

We had called up Mr. Dragon before visiting his restaurant. He helped us with the address to book the taxi. When arrived, he greeted us and our table was ready. He informed us about the snakes and the process. We choose the snake and they proceeded with the preparations. The food here is amazing, we finished everything just the two of us. Loved every dish which came to the table. Mr. Dragon is very nice and friendly person with lot of positivity within him. It was very nice to meet him. If you are in Hanoi, we recommend that you visit his place and make sure you call him beforehand so he keeps everything ready.

Upon arrival to the restaurant, the owner was friendly to greet and explain about the menu. He recomend to visit the place with 2 to 4 people. The reason that you have to order a whole snake and price range from 50-100 usd depend on the type of snake you order. You can omit to watch them kill live snake in front of you as some people can not endure killing process. The snake will be prepare in 11 dishes and it was amazing. Highly recommend to try it especially the owner is friendly and passionate to share his cuisine to the guest.

I spent two weeks in Vietnam and this was my favorite experience in the whole country! Dragon, our host, was so kind and accommodating. He described each snake that could be prepared for us and made very sure it was what we wanted (we chose cobra). We started with a shot of blood and bile, and my brother got to shoot the heart. We then enjoyed 10 preparations of the snake, each unique and delicious! After dinner, Dragon sat with us for a drink and we exchanged stories. 10/10 must experience!!!!!

Wir hatten ein 7 Gänge Menü. Alle Speisen waren ausnahmslos fabelhaft. Alle Getränke, inkl. Alcohol war inklusive. Es war ein absolut einmaliges Erlebnis. Ich würde es jedem weiterempfehlen, der etwas anderes und exotisches erleben möchte. Der Besitzer, so wie auch alle angestellten waren sehr nett. Ich würde wieder kommen.

Après quelques recherches sur internet nous avons trouvés le restaurant de Dragon comme le meilleur pour la cuisine du serpent ! Tout est vrai, les plats sont excellents, très bien cuisinés et la mise en scène est superbe ! Une excellente expérience à ne pas rater pour des occidentaux comme nous !! De plus Dragon est une personne très drôle et très accueillante qui sait être à l’écoute de ses clients, en plus d’avoir bien mangé nous sommes ravit d’avoir croisé sa route !

I’m not a big fan of trying new food. I came because I wanted my boyfriend to have some company. I’ve gotta say, the ceremony was cool. They don’t push or make you watch it. I decided to try it. I loved the first dish (the one with the bones). I think it’s a good place to try it because the food is tasty and most of dishes don’t look like snake at all. Also, alcohol is included. You can pay only with cash.

Una experiencia inolvidable. El responsable "dragón" ha sido muy amable y nos ha explicado cómo cocinan las serpientes, además nos ha enseñado dónde tienen a las serpientes y nos ha mostrado la que íbamos a comer. What an amazing experience. We came here based on the positive reviews but had no idea just how incredible this experience would be. From the moment we walked in Dragon took care of us. We selected our cobra, he was a badass cobra too. It was prepared so well and everything was absolutely delicious. Service is like a Michelin * restaurant. This is one night to remeber forever.

There are two things that stands out for this place... 1st the experience of having a snake in 11 different forms and 2nd is the amazing host Dragon. The food and drinks are great. But what makes the whole experience special and memorable is Dragon. He is one jem of a host and will make sure you are having the best experience through out. This is a place I would definitely recommend to anyone who is up for the snake eating experience!

Had a wonderful time here! The host had really good English and was super friendly. He showed me his snakes and told me a lot about them and how they catch/process them. Also I was allowed to hold a live snake and take pictures with it. The food was also really good! He even gave me a special discount and sat with me since I came there alone. I would recommend to everyone to go there if they have the chance. 6 out of 5 stars from me

Very good place for eat and other interesting dishes for tourists. Very friendly personal and restaurant owner, he received us very warmly, showed us the snakes and treated us to drinks for free!

Mr dragon is very helpful and funny. The food was quite food. We didn't get the full course but we got the spring rolls and snake belly with crackers and the snake wine. It was all really good. The price is reasonable and Mr dragon is up front with you about it

I heard about this place and message Dragon, who responded immediately and was friendly throughout the entire experience. He greeted me when I arrived and sat with me while I ate. I traveled solo and appreciated the company and some stories about the village. 100% recommend!

This is by far the best snake restaurant in Hanoi! Also the owner, Mr Dragon makes you feel special and appreciated! Being a Chef in Chicago I know good food and hospitality and this is the place! And they use the entire snack! No waste!!! Beautiful and delious!
