"I had a coffee and "deconstructed' pulled pork for lunch"
"Best hidden little gem in the hill". This is what should be said but the place always has people in it so maybe it's not so secret anymore. I was recommended by a customer I was doing some work for to come here for lunch and boy o boy was I not disappointed. The lamb roll was amazing, nice crisp roll, plenty of coleslaw and lovely juicy lamb. The sausage roll was as big as my head and was soft on the inside whilst the pastry crumbled with every bite. All that followed off with a big mug of tea made for a struggle to get back to work in the afternoon. Nice clean place, lovely staff who make you feel at home even if it's your first visit. Well worth stopping by.
The Patch Store is a piece of reclaimed Australian History. Andy and Family are doing a great job adding life back into this area, it's a great place to have a fresh made coffee, and to have professionally smoked meats too. BBQ Smoking Products are also available for purchase since Andy is a BBQ Smoking enthusiast and makes the top quality Southern Cross Smokers. They also offer the much sought after LUMBERJACK BBQ Smoking Pellets in large economical 40lb bags!
What lovely staff! On the weekend, one of the staff looked after my four year old daughter while making her a milkshake (as I had my little son and wanted to run the food to the car). I mean seriously, who does that nowdays? She let my little girl go behind the counter and watch her milkshake being made. It made her day. Thank-you! Delicious food that's really cheap (too cheap, to be honest). Thanks for making the area a better place.
Family run business with a touch of something special. This is a great spot for a coffee and a snack and to admire the soft greenery of The Patch. This place has an unpretentious relaxed atmosphere and the staff and locals are genuine and friendly. The vanilla slices are something special, it's like they are straight from Paris. Plus the smokey BBQ and coleslaw sliders (pulled pork especially) are supremely tasty.
I had a coffee and "deconstructed' pulled pork for lunch. Both were excellent - especially the coffee! The pulled pork was served on a 'bed' of cole slaw and was very tasty. Service is efficient, with a village attitude (genuinely very friendly). I also bought some fruit bread, milk, butter and bacon to take home which all look to be very good quality. Locals love this place, which is also serves as a post office.
Beautiful spot with amazing coffee and food. Breakfast was delicious and well priced. Smooth coffee and the staff are very friendly. The coffee was so good we got another before we left. Highly recommend stopping in if you’re in the area. We had a HLT, avo smash with eggs and coffees.

Such a lovely atmosphere charming products and staff just lovely. Had a great sandwich but missed out on chocolate zucchini cake I’d seen on Facebook. next time then. The owner is very friendly and remembers customers. Post office general store. True country feel. If you’re looking for a picnic for your lockdown walk it’s near Kalista (sort if)
Great icon of the Hills. The Patch Store has been around for years. Previously operating as an old school general store (video shop, post office, milk bar etc.) and now operating as a small cafe with the ability to some essential items. Great food, very friendly and in a great little town called The Patch. Highly recommended.
Genuinely my happy place. The staff are ridiculously lovely. And the slow cooked beef rolls are worth travelling for. Anytime I’m remotely in the area, I try and stop in. An adorable cafe with delicious (and hot) almond milk chai lattes.

I just wanted to say what a wonderful little store/cafe this place is. I'm currently working around Menzies Creek as part of the upgrading works, and was told to grab a bite from here. The food whatever you order is great and the staff are so friendly and engaging. …
The best spot for a tasty treat, delicious meal or heartwarming hot drink around. Try the smoked meat rolls or salads. Chicken roll is a highlight too. And the spanakopita is best in show. Mmmmm.

Our local post office, great staff. They text us to let us know there's a package to pick up which is really great because we don't always get a notice in the letterbox. Bought a raspberry brownie last time and it was delicious!!
About time I wrote a review. The Patch store is a local institution, with great coffee. Lovely, friendly service too. Be careful though, the cakes and sweets will get you addicted!

It doesn't get any better than a Pulled Pork roll from The Patch Store. If you havn't had one then you are missing out on one of the wonders of the world. I can't get enough. Service is also fantastic.
I had a $20 burger here for lunch, but it was worth the money.
