An awful experience! I was dying to try this club as I heard raving reviews about it from my friends. I can honestly say this was the worst clubs that I have been to. Once in the club I spent a good £100+ on buying drinks for me and my friends within the first 20 minutes of being here ( a pretty good customer if I do say so myself) with London prices I will say that their drinks are quite reasonably priced. Upon reading more reviews of this establishment I’ve come to quickly learn and realise that my abysmal experience here wasn’t unique and actually one that was experienced on a regular basis. I would say that with opinions of the same matter it’s a major red flag that urgently needs to be addressed. After 20 minutes of being here I was followed into the bathroom by someone who presented themselves as the manager ( she admitted that she followed me into the toilet ! Quite unprofessional and creepy) she later asked me to follow her and asked me for my id… a nod to say she thought I was underage ? As an Asian fresh being 18 I get id’ a lot when going to clubs so this wasn’t unusual, but being id later on was quite unusual though I must say. It was truly embarrassing for my friends to see me being singled out like this. My friends and I all love to express ourselves on the dance floor so usually do take up a bit of space. We never are disruptive to anyone else and usually are aware of our surroundings. I think being told to leave based off the energetic carefree style we do was quite strange ( again we we all being respectful of our surroundings and not causing any problems at all) considering myself and friends witnessed a lot of drug use within the venue it was strange that we of all people were asked to leave. We know our limits and I don’t think it’s fair to say we had too much to drink based on dance ?? (No matter if management respond, it is totally unjustifiable! Even being followed to the toilet is totally weird and creepy no matter what, it is again unjustifiable !) even when security were being alerted of said drug use by other people they didn’t care. As a positive I will say that the bar stuff were truly lovely so 5 stars for them! But overall a true 1 star

Avoid at all costs. The club itself is a laugh, but its ruined by the rudest security I've ever had the unfortune of experiencing. Before we went in, one older black man screamed at my friend for shouting (for which he was not) and stared down my other friend for letting someone back in the queue after going to the toilet. He then went on to attempt to condescend my friend for talking back politely. All she said was that the other lady had left the queue to go to the toilet. ''Was I asking you?!'' ''shut up and don't talk back to me''. The biggest example of a power trip I've ever witnessed. Later on, we went for a smoke and a different friend of mine spat on the floor as he is not used to smoking. The bouncer then refused him entry for ''being sick''. He wasn't sick and we all backed him, but the bouncer was on a power trip. It was the same bouncer as before from when we were queueing. Due to his attitude we asked for his badge number, but he refused to give it. After speaking to the manager of the club (very kind lady), we got back in. Like I said, the club itself is a fun environment (even if it wasn't that busy), but the experience was ruined by the fragile-ego, power-tripping bouncers. I run a pub myself and if I ever saw my staff act this way, they would be truck off. I can only assume he must have dirt on someone there to still be employed. We've considered taking further action, but what would be the point? If he has acted like this once, he's probably treated loads of others this way. Either way, avoid this club if you respect the way others treat and talk to you.

Terrible experience. We planned to go to roxy for the old time sake (been there a few times prior to COVID) and got jump queue tickets for friday. When we arrived (a group of 8 people) at around 11:15, the queue was ENORMOUS. The queue jump made no difference, there was only one security guard letting a single person in 2 minutes. While chatting to the people in the queue, most did not even have a ticket. The security was answering questions poorly, took us good 15 min to find a jump queue (with the help of a completely stressed out manager) in this large mess of people. Honestly, would be great to have a refund, as this is a complete scam with advertising queue jump tickets and then making people wait 1h+ outside. We ended up just going to another place, but this was ridiculous. See pics of the queue below. - to answer the reply of the club. Yes, the picture was taken from the normal queue, however as stated in my initial review - the bouncers were unable to show us to the right queue, while only after we got to the manager that was possible. However, the queue jump queue was not 10 minutes - we spent about 15 and moved by 2 people. Can you please provide contact email details to discuss a refund.

Went to Friday Key Club night for the first bit of the night (10-1). Music was fantastic, exactly as expected. My admission was £5. Vibe was pretty good and staff seemed nice. Only complaints: bathrooms were very small (not sure they can change this), and drinks were overpriced and underwhelming, security staff weren’t too nice about corralling people outside, despite that there was nobody around to be bothered. Tangent: The club seems to have a model where entry is cheaper earlier so people who come early spend more money on drinks whereas those come drunk, later, spend more on admission. This model seems unhealthy because with 10 pounds for a drink or 10 pounds for admission many people are gonna drink a lot before coming and then show up super drunk rather than slowly drinking throughout the night and staying medium drunk. No single club is totally responsible for shifting to a safer model, but Roxy could decrease drink prices and bump up admission a little bit to probably make itself a better club. When I left at 1 there were about 75 people queued trying to get in, maybe Roxy should consider finding a larger space because these people all want your money.

would rate 0 stars if i could. horrible horrible horrible. i have been in london for a week, but after scanning my ID they claimed that 6 or 7 people have used my ID to get into this same club, and that i was not allowed in. this was my real US license, and I was very scared because they were claiming that people were using my identity. I tried to ask for some more information about when the ID was used, but they refused. They let me in, but their aggressiveness and attitude were horrible and made the already stressful situation worse. I am a college student on a school trip, not a felon and ID dealer, just for some context. I was left frazzled and very disrespected by the staff, and I can’t believe it took 6 people in the system using my ID for it to actually be flagged. funny that the person who was flagged was the person who actually matched the ID in the first place. never coming back. don’t go here.

1. HORRIBLE BARTENDERS - The bartenders were barely serving people and were just flirting with guys. There were just 3 bartenders and they were few girls who will just serving guys even though me and my girlfriends were the first ones there near the till. The worst part is these two bartenders were taking shots and dancing when there were so many people who were waiting to get drinks but no effort was made to attend to the customers moreover the bartenders were just ignoring when trying to get their attention. 2. WET FLOOR - My friend hit his head and started bleeding. This happened because they were mopping the whole floor while people were dancing making the floor extra slippery. No caution sign was put where the guy was mopping. No drinks were spilled for them to keep mopping over and over again but it’s so weird why would they make the floor slippery causing everyone to fall and slip.

The Roxy has always had the best staff, notably Taylor. They get the work done and is on top of everything on the bar such a skilled bartender! The music varies each night, so if you like specific music I would definitely recommend looking at their website to see if that day is for you! They always play the best music, and their DJ’s are some of the best. The reviews of the security at this place is mixed and matched. The security are just doing their jobs. They are all quite sound people, they just care for the safety of the venue and the customers. They might be a bit forward but they get the job done. Management, Beth, George, Jasmine are all very friendly. They care for the customers safety within the venue. Notable nights to go on a night out are: Thursdays, Fridays and Saturday

Please be careful if you go here. Really really careful. I think bag checks really need to be more thorough as I know they barely looked at mine and it seems that people bring in things they shouldn't I don't know if I've just been unlucky, but I was spiked there at least once. I ended up being injected in that nightclub with god knows what and had to go through hell with blood tests, medications and police reports. Another night, I suspect I had a drink with something in it as I drink carefully and don't go overboard usually, but after a couple drinks, I had no memory of the rest of the night, just a lot of bruises the next day. Can't prove this one though, so I'll leave that. I'm not going back here, and I really don't recommend anyone risks it. There are a lot of good clubs in London, your safety is not worth risking for a night out to what is a mediocre club.

  • Shayan Abbasnejad

Horrendous experience after my friend who was completely sober was denied re entry after going for a smoke break, and when I asked for a refund or to talk to the manager I was told I had no rights to do so by the bouncers, I have come to the roxy many times and have always been respectful to all the staff, it’s just a shame to see that the staff have no respect for their customers even after spending hundreds of pounds in the club, the staff also denied to explain to me why my friend was denied entry and only said the manager wants him out and refused to let me or any of my friends to talk to the manager. All 5 of us still demand to get our refunds and I will personally not stop till I do so unless I am shown evidence that clearly shows that my friend was intoxicated. Just all all together a horrible night.

  • Anselm Hellfire

I went here a month or two back and the bouncer was on a complete power trip, I've avoided this place like the plague since and all my friends as well. He actively tried instigating a fight with me, after telling him I wouldn't be fighting him, I just wanted an explanation of his behaviour and would be waiting for management to arrive, he ran off and then proceeded to lie his way out. The only reason I'm writing this now is I was walking by tonight on my way home and saw the same bouncer doing the same thing to another guy, they seem to be kicking out guys for no apparent reason. It's a real shame because the actual establishment is such a nice vibe, with friendly bar staff and awesome drinks, but I've never had issues with security staff in other venues comparatively.

Worst club I have ever been too. We arrived at 10:20 and were told it was cash only. There was one person waiting in the queue. We walked to the nearest cash point and got £21 out as we were told it was £7 per person (we were a group of 3 people). We got back in the queue which had now progressed to around 70 people. We waited in the queue in 4 degrees for 50 minutes while the security were letting in one person every 5 minutes. Music was not great and a bad atmosphere. Only good thing was it was clean, fair play to the nice cleaner there. Last thing the bartenders were very rude and couldn’t even have a smile on there face. Awful customer service from someone who works in the customer service industry.

We went on a Wednesday and it was a really good club. I’ve read the reviews and I don’t think it gives this club enough justice. It’s a good size and drinks are nice. The atmosphere is great even when it was a Wednesday. It didn’t get busy till about midnight but after that it was great. The music was good and everyone was friendly. I can imagine on weekends it can be over packed as it’s a decent size but not huge. I would say get in earlier and let it get busy other wise you might not get in. The only slight setback is the fact you have to be or act completely sober to get in. This did put me on edge a bit as it seemed super strict in that aspect but other than that it was a great night out.

  • Kritt Normsaskul

I had a whale of a time at this basement bar in Soho. The colours, neon lights, and music all combined to create a feel-good, party vibe inside. Good job on the recent refurbishment, Roxy. Drinks are delicious and taste even better when it's happy hour at 20:30 Monday-Friday. You'll find the usual signature cocktails alongside the usual suspects like prosecco. Bar nibbles will provide some sustenance as the night gets longer. The Asian platter will sort out two people. The crowd clocks on where the party is at pretty soon. Get yourself down by 18:00 before it gets busy. You'll even bag a sofa. Weekday after-work drinks just got better at Roxy. You'll know where to find me then.

  • Anna Garrett

Bouncers were quick to pull people out but were reasonable in terms of letting people back in. The manager on the other hand kicked me out because I accidentally shut the door in front of him. He was so rude and wouldn’t listen to my attempt to reason with him. He acted unbelievably childish and made me stand in the corner. I felt so invisible and I couldn’t back myself whatsoever. I proceeded to be kicked out for no apparent reason. Even the security guard that took my friend in the first place said he would’ve let me back in because it was a misunderstanding. Never go to this club. Everyone is so creepy and the staff are so horrible. This place needs to be shut down.

  • Aubrey Heath

Terrible. My friend was denied entry for literally no reason other than an arbitrary decision by the bouncers who refused to explain their reasoning. Witnessed others who experienced similar treatment. It seems the bouncers were on some sort of power trip. The club itself was alright but the bouncers completely ruined it. Have never seen anything like this from any other night club I've been to. Terrible. Never go here unless you want your night ruined by some terrible bouncers. Honestly if the club is even listening, fire these awful people and hire some new bouncers who are not arbitrary, rude, and power hungry.

  • Holly Soall

Visited for their Halloween party, got in early to take advantage of Happy Hour. Despite being ticketed, we just walked in, could have saved our money. The drinks were good, we stuck to the Candy Store cocktails, tried every one (the red one is the best) and a few others. Left before 10pm, as it was impossible to get service past then, there were only 2 bartenders and they were run off their feet. The food was horrible, cold chips covered in a jarred curry sauce that was gluggy. Definitely not a good "party" for Halloween.

Would rate it 0 stars if I could. The worst club ive ever seen. Couldnt get into the club after prebooking due to the fact that my friend was ‘too drunk’, (baring in mind she had had 3 drinks and was no worse than anyone else in the queue). The bouncers were disgustingly rude, picking and choosing people from the queue they weren’t going to let in due to whatever reason they had. To me, it seemed they wanted the money and that the venue was in maximum capacity seeing as it took us almost 1hr 30mins to reach the front of a small line of people. Avoid wasting money and disappointment - DO NOT GO HERE.

  • Kai Wolgram

Very small but vibey nightclub, a solid option for a Friday night out. Entry is typically £10 cash and coats similarly cost £1 cash. Drinks at the bar can be paid for using card or contactless. While small, this club fills up quite nicely to create a good atmosphere as the night progresses. Usually quite good music, very typical style to other British nightclubs. Most people in this club are of uni age, between 18 and 22. Overall a guaranteed fun night out, although not necessarily one to remember. P.S. I would recommend arriving before 11pm as the queue can oftentimes be over an hour long

  • Beka L

Terrible first time experience, would not recommend. Security speak to you as if your dirt on the bottom of their shoe. The bouncer this Saturday (24th Sep) caught an attitude as soon as we established we don’t carry cash and are willing to pay entrance by card instead. I get dealing with a younger crowd and drunk individuals but the attitude of the bearded black gentleman was disgusting. We are two females who typically won’t carry cash and no other bars have implemented a “cash only” entrance. Do not waste your breath on this club!

The Roxy in Soho is a five-star gem! Taylor and Jasmin's impeccable service made our evening unforgettable. The trendy decor, vibrant atmosphere, and skilled bartenders create a perfect setting. The signature cocktails were expertly crafted, bursting with flavor. Live music added to the energetic ambiance. The staff's genuine care and attention made us feel valued. The Roxy is an exceptional spot for a night out or celebration. Highly recommended! Five stars!

We were down stairs you can book a table it's a reasonably sized venue not too big or small good atmosphere didn't interact with the staff too much as it was a leaving do they do deals on cocktails and the area we were in was nice they played a mixture of grime and hip hop when we were there if already in you have to go upstairs show ID food wise was buffet style for us but not really there for you could easily miss it as it's tucked away

Me and my friends shared 2 Blue Jim pitchers and all 4 of us proceeded to suffer from really bad pains and blue vomiting. It was also so disgustingly sweet that we had to throw away half and dilute the rest with water and even then it was still disgusting. There was also not enough space for the number of people and alot of people were extremely drunk and just barging into everyone so you couldn't even have a boogie without being shoved in every direction.

Bouncers are lovely. Security tried their best but the manager (who can see the CCTV) was god-awful. As a 19y/o girl, when a 50y/o man ground on me and I said no thanks, he then pushed me over, security was quick to act, manager tried to kick out my friend who stopped the bloke from hitting me. Shots were ~£4-£5. Can order toasties all night long. Music was great! Ages of people there ranged from 18-50. Was fun all in all.

Good fun clubbing experience. Drinks are okay and not too overpriced. Maybe I got lucky with bouncers/security but we got in just fine (arrived before 10.30), danced next to security all night who was very respectful and even helped keep an eye on the purse/drinks of our group. Also no problems going out for a smoke/fresh air and coming back in multiple times. I will say the DJ's transitions were a bit rough, and he played Mo Bamba twice. Which was fine cuz I was outside for the first time lmao

Bouncers James and Tony unnecessarily rude and refused to get me the manager after I asked several times, as they refused me entry for no apparent reason. The manager refused to come after 2 hours of me waiting outside. The bouncers let the power get to their head and the manager believes they’re too important to speak to a customer who bought a ticket online. Would not recommend at all, as they ruined my entire night and was my worst experience yet. Would rate it 0 stars if i could.

  • S M

Went there with a friend on a Wicked Student Nights night, and had a great time. Double vodka tonics were around £5 and the music was great, all the people were uni age and really nice. Toilets were clean and the bartenders were really nice too. It’s a small room so perfect for stopping it from feeling empty. Entry fee was probably around £10 if I remember correctly and 100% worth it. Made a lot of friends and still one of my pest clubbing experiences so far without being too extreme

  • Jan Kulig

I got rejected while trying to get into club, having my covid pass, and online recognition document which is internationally recognized even at the airports, as well as photos of ids and passports. I wasn’t drunk and intoxicated (i had 2 beers before going there)I paid for my ticket in advance and was left with nothing but bitterness and bad mood. I would like to have my refund for unproffesional behaviour of security team. It is unacceptable in such clubs in london.

  • Talles M

Been here 2 times already, drinks are reasonably priced, the bouncers are the door were very friendly (had different bouncers in the two times i went). Most of the music is pretty good, ofc some being a bit girly but can't judge too much on that :D Staff inside do a very good job of keeping the floors clean and dry if there are any spillages! If you're looking for a good time, go after 11pm-12am as this is usually when it gets busy! 10/10 would reccomend!!

  • Wat Diss

Horrible experience at this rubbish club. Being accused of fighting and thrown out of the club while I was talking to my friends. It’s not even worthwhile visiting, it’s small and overpriced. The bouncers and staff need to learn professionalism and how to behave properly. Wouldn’t recommend anyone to visit. Looking at the other reviews, I can say I’m not alone here and there’s a pattern. Plenty of other better clubs in London.

  • Aziz Adil

Decent song choice, some nice throwbacks! Variety of cocktails & pitchers on offer (for £21), drinks were fairly expensive but average price for London (£5.50 for a sprit mixer) - was a bit annoying that it was advertised as happy hour on their facebook and outside but they said not now (on Saturday night). Cloakroom only had one person so was a pain queuing to pick up our jackets on our way out, waited like 15 mins.

  • Vanessa Kwok

Horrible bouncers and managers– no one should ever come to this club. My friend was kicked out for confronting this man who was being inappropriate with me in the club, then told us that if we had a problem we should tell the bouncers who will sort it out. But after my friend then told them that multiple men had inappropriately grabbed her in the night, they did absolutely nothing and didn't care. Disgusting club.

  • Ahmad

Come here if you want to be reminded of your year six disco. Dead atmosphere, lights are way too bright and makes dancing feel awkward, drinks are overpriced and half the crowd seem like they’ve taken something. The lady at the door was nice though. But other than that this place is so overpriced. £7 for entry. Would not recommend.

If i could leave no stars I would, place shouldn’t even be open, awful bouncers (rude/condescending) i understand you are dealing with a young crowd, however there are clubs out there that have much larger crowds and the bouncers are all professional, the music was ok but really commercial and gets boring very quick. Overall awful experience, do not recommend to anyone that wants a good night out.

My GO TO!! Except they kicked my friend out one time for something not her fault, ruined my mood. The lines for the bar are a bit hectic and ruthless for me and some days there’s old men there alone who just watch the young girls. I had a guys eagle eyes on me for hours one night I don’t love that. Music is FUNFUN FUN and pitchers are so alcoholic and yummy

  • amilia howells

Shocking nightclub. My friend was told to sober up before entry, me and my other friend were allowed in. We went outside to wait with our friend, as we aren’t going to leave a girl in the street on her own. We were then told that there was no re entry after spending £10 and not even stepping foot inside the club! So rude and I completely waisted money

  • Meow Ragdolls

We came here as 2 girls together on a Friday night and had the best night! Security were looking after us all night, we danced right next to them. Bar staff were constantly cleaning up after people, toilets were clean, music was good most of the night when we recognised the songs. Mainly uni aged students so great crowd. Blast of a night!

Went for a friend's birthday, place empty but still standing waiting for nearly 20min to get served. Bar staff were lovely just not enough people on, took to long to make cocktails. Ordered food, very slow. Bought a sandwich for £6 and nothing in it ,looked like it had been squashed . Terrible.

A good mix of bar and night club with tables, a dance floor and DJ at night. Service is good with only a short queue at the bar even on busy nights. However, bouncers can be rude and the entry price is similar to that of some of the biggest night clubs in London.

Music was nice. Venue is cute - bartenders could of been abit more friendly :) younger crowd.

It was a lot of fun but it could be possible that the dj was on the payroll of David Guetta

  • Tom Ipsen

One of the cheaper nightclubs in this area of London. Not a bad selection of music either.
