I went this place on August 26 and wanted to purchase the beats X wireless headphones that was on sale. The offer stated that it ended on August 29, 2018. The staff told me that the product had become out of stock. I asked him to help me to check if there are any more in another Source store.The staff did a great job at that time and helped me make an order from another store. I had been told that the discounted price was guarantee and that him or his colleague would give me a call when the product arrived. I didn't heard anything after that, so I went to there on September 2 and met the same staff. He checked and told me that the product hasn't arrived yet. He asked me to come again the next day when his manager was there and he could check with the manager. I told him I couldn't come the next day but I would wait for their call, if I didn't receive a call, I would come back again the next weekend, to which he agreed. Today, September 9 I went again, met the same staff, the product had arrived. However, I was told that because I had not picked up the item until after the sales expiration date, I was not able to receive the discounted price. I had not received a single phone call or text message regarding this product, and upon checking my contact information in the system and their communication records with it. This staff insisted that he contact me via phone call and message, but could not prove it, he said he used his personal cell phone so he already deleted the record. I concluded that they had, in fact, not contacted me. The issue is not that I couldn't purchase a sale item, the issue was the employee's attitude and lack of responsibility and ownership to the fact that he neglected to complete his job with the way he tried to talk himself out of the situation.

I went in a few weeks ago and am now writing a review because I have just read a news article of how an old man with Alzheimer's in Ontario was made to buy plans and products he didn't want, and it reminded me of my experience. I went in looking to buy Apple airpods, I wasnt sure if I wanted to commit or not, but wanted to see the price and selection and if there was price matching. The sales associate, immediately greeted me, took me to them and took them out saying he will keep them by the counter until I wanted to pay. This happened in 2 minutes and he was very pushy. I said I wasn't sure and he looked annoyed. He then asked me how much my cell phone plan was a month (Its low) and I made the mistake of telling him. He tried his best to convince me to leave Kodoo (Im very happy with them) and switch to bell with some deal. I said no. I then looked around the store and as I was leaving, he stopped me and tried to convince me again! I said firmly NO I am happy with my cellphone plan. He kept trying to talk to me about it and change my mind. It was ridiculous and I felt deeply uncomfortable. I kinda felt bad for him since Im sure they are told to push Bell or whatever but it made me so uncomfortable and there was desperation in the air for all employees. I ended up buying Airpods elsewhere and will not be going back to the Source (ever). These are desperate times but Im not dealing with desperate employees.

There are many reasons that I would choose a different location for my future purchases and suggest the same to my friends and family. The staff is not honest with their policies and each one of them tell a different story. 1- When I shopped here the salesperson assured me that I am not getting into any contracts for the products but later I got to know that it is a contract which I asked that I don’t want when making the purchase. I spoke to the manager and he said that I should have read the 20 page contract of all products that I had purchased. 2- They expect you to read each agreement and description of whatever you are purchasing and not trust what their associates are saying. 3- The manager (I think his name is Dhav) said that no one would remember a verbal agreement and their staff will refuse to remember without even asking them. When I asked for the person who helped me the manager refused to ask them. 4- I called the corporate customer service as well and they advised to visit the store and they would solve the problem but when I visited the store they refused to help me and said that yeh corporate customer service always do this and they cannot do anything to assist.

Sold me a Returned and Used Item as Brand New. Bought a controller from here, drove specifically to this store as they were one of the only places with it in stock. When I bought the controller home I noticed the manufacturer seal has been tampered with. Brought it back to return to the Source and they opened it in the store, to reveal a used controller all crudded up with someone else’s sweat. Don’t know how a retail store like this can try to repackage returned items as new. Not how any other stores handle this stuff, places like Best Buy will send it back to the manufacturer or sell it as Open Box discounted. The Source seems to think it’s better to gamble with a customers time and money and hope they get fooled into buying a used product for new prices. The gentleman who helped me was a good guy though and really nice. I added an extra Star for him. But I must make this negative review on principal, The Source should not be selling used items as new.

The representative I met here on Monday Monday 21st February 2022 was very nonchalant and not helpful. I asked about the difference between two typical phones and he rudely said that I should go and check the information on the internet without trying to help. I am not familiar with the phone models but had two in mind to choose from. I wanted to buy the Google Pixel 6 phone and was given a price which was same as on the price tag on the phone display. I took my kids to eat so that I could have time to focus on signing the contract and by the time we returned, they had changed the price from $25 to $33! Less than 20 minutes No tangible explanation for the sudden increase except that "it changes by the hour!!! The $25 tag was still attached to the phone on display. Definitely not going back there for anything as their service is discriminatory, bias, and not transparent. I won't recommend this store to anybody.

I came to this store after having online issues with Virgin mobility and being advised to go in person here. When I first came in, an older representative immediately dismissed me and obviously did not want to be bothered, nor invest any time or energy in my problem. But a much younger rep (I think his name was Chetan?), very calmly and professionally stepped in and took control. Even though I wasn't a customer bringing in a sale or a commission, Chetan wasn't deterred by a confusing and convoluted situation that necessitated making multiple calls to Virgin reps on my behalf. He successfully resolved my issues with Virgin, and I am very grateful for his calm, matter-of-fact professionalism. (5 stars for chetan, minus 2 stars because of the 1st guy)

I was looking to upgrade to the new iPhone 13 Pro Max, and I wasn't having much luck with price until I stopped by The Source in Southgate and spoke to Sandeep. He proceeded to give me an offer that I just couldn't refuse and told me to come in the next morning and he'd hook me up with an amazing deal. This guy shows up over an hour before the store opens just to make sure he's there with everything that I need, not to mention he's only working a few hours today because I was coming. Everyone in the store is extremely personable and the customer service experience that I've had today in unparalleled. I highly recommend coming here, and the five star rating was rightfully earned.

Called into this location to ask a specific question about a specific computer ("does this Chromebook have a bilingual keyboard or an English keyboard?". Was told by the sales associate that this computer does not have a bilingual keyboard and that they don't sell any that that have bilingual keyboards. "Great, I said. I'll be in shortly!" When I arrived, the computer did have a bilingual keyboard. And the other Chromebook (on display, even!) had a bilingual keyboard. While I don't want this employee to be in trouble, I am disappointed and frustrated that the associate was so sure about what they sell/don't sell and then I made a special trip in. A waste of my time.

If I could give 0 stars I WOULD! Their sale associate told us we could add 4 tablets for free due to our phone plan! He LIED! It's a 20 dollar charge for each tablet each month! If I had not checked in with the customer service of the company I would have been paying 80$ extra charge on the plan each month! I am extremely dissatisfied and won't be coming to this location again. You took advantage of our trust and you will not receive it again! We are returning all 4 tommorow and I will have a talk with the manager there! Extremely disappointed! How many other people has this associate lied to like this! He might deny it all as well! THE SOURCE THIS IS UNACCEPTABLE!

Getting new phones is generally a stressful event for our family. We went to the Source Southgate and Vivek Arora received us. Vivek provided excellent service and stayed present with us through the whole 2 hour process. He was patient and kind, and moreover anticipated all of the possible stress points we might encounter. He mitigated all of them and our entire experience with him was calm and pleasant. We all felt he knew what we needed and worked hard to provide it for us. And best of all… the bill kept getting smaller and smaller for more services as we went. He was exceptional throughout and we are grateful. Thank you Vivek!!

Bad customer service If it happens once , I let it go usually.. but once again BAD customer service from one of the people working today at The store. Guy was ignorant and even dropped the F*** when I tried to talk to him. He was trying to tell me I’m wrong and than was swearing thinking I didn’t hear it. They had another rude guys and ingnorant working at Millwods Town Center location previously too. I can understand we don’t always agree on something but to swear At a customer is not acceptable. Thank god my kid was sleeping at that time. Very dissatisfied and disappointed at the service . Won’t be shopping there anytime soon.

Hats off to Mrugesh! You will only know the real customer care when you return what you bought from the shop. Mrugesh has got excellent customer care and manners. He gave me a great offer and helped me to choose the best option for my needs, but unfortunately, I had to return the stuff later due to some situation and he was very understanding and helpful when I returned the stuff I bought. I really appreciate his service! He is really an asset to your company(Source Southgate, Edmonton). No one from Source asked me to do this review but I would be an ungrateful person if I do not give him a Five stars! Thank you.

Switched cell phone services with this company due to the fact they said “I will cover the cost of the remaining bill of your phone”. Now I have 2 bills with 2 companies for over 100$. They lied and said they will not cover this charge. I got a hold of the manager and he wasn’t helpful at all, said it must be a misunderstanding and that the whole time he has worked there they never do that. The thing is, if your worker says it you need to fulfill that so your customers will return and then retrain your worker. Horrible management, I will not be returning!

Store Manager Dhav was ridiculously rude and mean. Due to covid and trying to avoid public places where possible, I was not able to return my item within the 30 day window (3 days late) Dhav told me that I would need a doctor's note or covid test results if I wanted to be able to return my item. Completely unacceptable, essentially every other store is understanding and helps with the social distancing. I will never return to this location and advise everyone I know to avoid it at all costs. He does not take covid 19 or customer service seriously at all.

I would LOVE for them to actually answer questions. But they say things like cords are going to work, after I've shown them the picture or both pieces of equipment then I get it home and it doesn't work. EVERYTIME! Maybe there is a better Source but this one is local to my business and home. Before it used to be them trying to sell me on a phone plan upgrade and f'ing things up and then me having to contact the phone company to fix whatever they couldn't take NO for answer for. EVERYTIME! That luckily has stopped. But it's still super annoying.

No sense of welcome into the store by a clerk who sold me a universal charger too strong for my laptop which was, as a result of using his recommended charger, completely destroyed. When I returned the charger this morning this same clerk silently refunded the amount. He didn’t apologize for his mistake or indicate any concern that I was now out of a laptop, nor was he interested in learning more of why this happened. When I respectfully pointed this out to him, he begrudgingly, without any sincerity, said the word, “Sorry.” I won't return.

Bad customer service. Lazy sales associate. The guy who helped me today doesn't want to deal with price match and eventhough he already checked the price of the item on his computer, he told me he can't do it because its asking for customer detail to check out the product on the site so he could get the total amount (like all he has to do is add the 5% tax on the item so he knows how much is the total and he cant even do it!!) He asked me to just buy from the samsung store. So lazy and unhelpful! You guys lost a sale because of that.

Worst shopping experience ever. If the price seems too good, then it is. The price tag of an item stated $29.99 but when it was brought to the counter the price was ridiculously wrong. False advertising at its finest. The customer service was extremely rude; they would not fix their mistake and not even a single apology. "Do you want it or not," was said to me by the manager himself along with, "just leave him alone". Disgusting. If you were thinking about trying this place, just save your energy and do not.

Absolutely amazing customer service. I barely ever write reviews, heck I just get what I need and go. However, this store in specific really amazed me. I have never been helped so compassionately. I was just thinking about buying an adapter and then getting an extra cable to connect into my cpu because i couldn’t find the right fit. The employee saw me struggling and went out if his way to help me. He actually found me the correct cable and saved me so much money. I am so thankful for the help I received

Mustafa helped us change our phone plan. For many times, we’ve considered changing it after staying with the same company for 20 years, but we always ended up pushing it off because we thought it was too much trouble. Mustafa made the process smooth and easy. He was enthusiastic, patient and outgoing. We were lucky we ran into him, he saved us so much money. Mustafa even came in on his day off to help us fix an issue, we really appreciated that. Thank you so much Mustafa!

I went in to the store yesterday to grab a phone charger, and the guy at that helped me asked about my cell phone planes and how much I was paying. I ended up walking out of the store with a new phone and cell phone plan that was cheaper than what I was paying before, plus a free charger in the box. I'm thrilled that I went in and got this deal, most places phone places never cared to ask me. I was surprised when a electronic store did so. I highly recommend this place.

I can see why this location doesn't have the best rating. The simplest request, not asking for anything personal nor time consuming, couldn't be carried out. I have a disability that doesn't allow me to leave my home whenever I want and a memory that rarely works so I can't come to the store just to repeat the request in person that requires no receipt or any documentation. Won't continue my business here nor will I recommend.

Vivek at SouthGate location provided a great service. I was looking for a phone and a new plan. I shopped around at other nearby locations as well however I got much better deal at The Source. Wow this company makes no sense. Preordered the ps5 and we get an email to contact them regarding making an appointment to come pick it up. Call them and I get a completely different story that they’ll call us the day it arrives. The gentleman wasn’t even empathetic to my frustration just kept interrupting me and giving me the same lines his manager fed him. This will be the very last time I buy anything from this company.

The atmosphere does not seem professional at all. The staff stand around in their friend groups and talk to one another. They do not ask customers if they need assistance, you have to approach them and ask, which is terrible if you're already there to buy a product. Aren't very personable, especially when you want advice, opinions or clarifications directly from them. Store not entirely that clean either.

Was sold a pair of headphones with an extended warranty after being told by the service person Vivek that the warranty covers any and all damages. The very next day they fell out and were hit by a lawnmower and I'm now told they cant do anything. Very displeased with the untruthfull sale and particularly the upsell on the warranty being that it doesnt cover these damages apparently.

Best service I’ve had at an electronics store by far. Tej was knowledgeable and friendly, and was able to reassure me that buying a phone from him was the right choice. Very bad customer service. I bought iPod generation2 with extended warranty. At the time of purchase sales man told me we replace with new generation after one year if you buy extended warranty. Today I visit store but store manager told me we will charge price difference. Please be careful. Don’t try to buy anything from The Source store.

Can’t say enough about this place. Mustafa managed to save me thousands each year on my cell phones. Way more helpful then calling bell or using their online service. Had some issue with the switchover of the numbers but they rectified it as quickly as they could. Excellent customer service.

Helpful employees, very nice. Not that big of a store but very wide selection of items to hide from. You can find mice, keyboards, headphones and almost everything else that has to do with tech. And the atmosphere is really nice because it was just newly renovated.

Can't walk around the store for 2 seconds without being pestered by a sales rep. They're about as pesky as commission-only sales reps. Even got pestered twice in about 5 minutes by the same guy, after I told him I didn't need anything and was just browsing.

Hey. I went there with my brother for a SIM card. I was served by a kind lady supposedly named anamika. I felt very welcomed by her and all the staff. Appropriate help was given to me and I left a happy customer. Definitely recommend. Beautiful service
