"I've no interest in the Islamic books at the store (although practitioners of the faith will probably delight in the range and quality there, including nicely illustrated kids' books), however the coffee shop was FANTASTIC! Superb quality "
"Timbuktu bookstore and coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere"
I ordered a milkshake and sweet potato fries which was quite unimpressive. The milkshake was served in plastic take away cups which I didn't find appealing at all seeing as we were sitting down. The milkshake itself was tasty. The fries were very average. The bookstore concept is quite nice.
It's such an inspirational space. It gives you the feeling of tranquility.Their range of reading material is fairly extensive. The children's books are worth investing in.The ambiance of the coffee shop and it's offerings are well worth the visit.Keep up the standard of the total experience.
Islamic book shop and halaal coffee shop. Quaint little shop, sit amongst the bookshelves, lovely atmosphere, halaal all day breakfast/ brunch menu of giant muffins, tasty scones, all freshly made, sandwiches with sour dough bread or other,

Timbuktu bookstore and coffee shop has a wonderful atmosphere. People playing quiet board games. The owner of the book shop, Omar(very warm, friendly person)is incredibly willing to assist with whichever Sufi books you are seeking and is
Visited today and held a workshop there with 6 ladies. Thanks to Mr. Suleman for accomodating us and it was very pleasant sitting comfortably amongst the bookshelves with the window on our left and an open door for adequate ventilation.
Quaint coffee shop. Meals on the menu are quite basic. Attended the comedy show that occurs on a Friday night. Invite says 7pm dinner. Waitresses were disinterested in provided services other than collecting entry fee for comedy show.
Unique set up, went for a comedy show and supper. The menu is pretty standard and priced like most other eateries of this nature. Had a Cajun wrap which was fairly decent. As someone else already stated service is slow and way below
Timbuktu is a cute little coffee shop that has a lovely selection of items. Especially enjoyable is their Friday night entertainment. They play host to some up-and-coming stand-up comedians that has the place packed to the brim!
Amazing milkshakes! Coffee shake is a must! Owner is a super nice guy and very nice staff! Also a very chilled place to be if you want to read a book. They also have comedy nights with the likes of Riyaas Moosa, Loyiso Bola etc.
First time visiting the coffee shop Food was average ..but disappointing how unfriendly the man is towards children yet there is a children's corner. Every sound the kids make we got daggered looks. Not very pleasant visit
Very well priced. However, 5 of the main items on the menu wasn't available, service wasn't friendly and the order came in parts of the meal. The atmosphere is really lovely but the service just put us off.
I frequent this place quite often. The knowledgeable curator, the friendly staff, the awesome food, I have never been disappointed. I cannot recommend this place enough. The bookshop and the coffee shop
Really lekker place, nice set up and great innovation on hosting a comedy evening there. Every Friday, would definitely recommend that you check this place out. Refreshingly sober habits at this place.
Nice intimate coffee and book shop. Food is good, prices aren't too bad and the staff are friendly. I was there for a comedy show which didn't disappoint. Local comedy is lekker.
Superb coffee shop come food place. Absolutely awesome staff and super food. Great coffee and wonderful place for your kids. Well done guys and keep up the great work. Thank you
The coffee shop sells some of the best milkshakes. I bought 5 shakes for my family and myself and it was some of the best. I bought the popcorn, cremebrule and coffee shakes.
We arrived there quite late so we missed the crowd. The death by chocolate cake was yummy and so was the toasted chicken and mayo sandwich. We will definitely go back for more
Has a wide variety of Arabic literature both for adults and kids. Definitely going back to get some books for my kid. And having a little coffee shop/sit down area is a bonus.
Just the lace to shop for your Islamic literature while having a good Flat White. My girlfriends and I met here for a halaqah and was treated like royalty by Omar and staff.
Such a friendly place with good coffee and breakfast. I often work here from a laptop if I need to wait for my car (I get it serviced across the road at MQs workshop).
Comedy Fridays to ramp up to the weekend. Hosted by Yaaseen Barnes and the finest talent and noobs, within the setting of a bookshop. Great food, great night out.
Excellent food - excellent entertainment every Friday night comedy _staff extremely friendly All things you need for a good time... Enjoy it guys
Good good, need prayer facilities and when in waqt to switch off music,, but overall good spce and would definitely be back for a meal and cuppa
A quaint little cafe, with a gentle vibe. Food and coffee is great. A lovely environment for socialising. However, the service can improve.
Really nice experience at this little book/coffee shop. Food was great, host was welcoming and friendly. Really nice setting.
Great coffee, really fresh and tasty food. Portions are big so good value for money. Love the burgers and nutella pancakes.
One of theeee best burgers in Cape Town. They host comedy shows on most Friday evening for the new n upcoming talent.
