Travelodge located at the rear of Colton Retail Park. There is just enough parking providing the hotel isn’t full. The retail park has some restaurants, Pizza Hut, Harvester, MacDs which make this a convenient place to stop. The hotel is located two minutes drive from junction 46 of the M1, basically the top end. Booking late can see some very low rates if off season. Not sure what in season is at the top of the M1 ! Rooms here are large. American style space, my family room had a very large double bed with pull out mattresses either side which looked comfortable. Plenty of desk space along the wall and wardrobe space. Shower over bath is dated but comfortable but no removable shower head. TV is quite small, maybe 32 inches. Not sure if it would be visible from the far pull out mattress. Also, four beds but just two cups and a small kettle

Safety
The door of my room did not lock properly, but the hotel was quiet and reception was well attended
Walkability
The retail park seems quite popular. It is a two minute walk to Pizza Hut, Harvester, KFC and McDonald’s. Sainsburys is a bit further away

The rooms were clean but not maintained well. Got given a wrong room from what was originally booked. Toilet flush was broken. Single towel provided for quad-occupancy room (not the case usually, as we have been at other quad-occupancy room at Travelodge before). The lobby was noisy, room was on ground floor with first floor above being overly noisy too. Furniture dragging, feet stomping and heavy walking all day and night long. The room was way too warm with a single desk fan provided, again in a quad-occupancy room, a desk fan placed 7-feet away from you, on a desk isn't going to do much at all. Overall, I'd avoid.

Parking: Parking is very limited and there are more disabled bays than general bays. The car park is shared between 3 known places. This generally brings the place down as there is little to no space to accommodate for guests. Local food places are decent. Rooms are basic plus it’s good that there’s a good working lift available for the different floors. Staff are really friendly and helpful regarding hotel matters. Whereas for parking…

We are so impressed with this TL. Samantha has a sunny personality and is so helpful and caring. We were unable to turn the bath/shower tap on. Within seconds Samantha and colleague came to assist and got it working. We will be coming here every other month to visit family. Peace of mind knowing we have found a friendly place with a huge choice of places to dine. Thank you so much

Very well located Travelodge plenty of places to eat next door but not very much parking and it is a privately owned car park! Friendly staff on reception but loses 2 stars due to the cost been expensive to stop here but unfortunately there was no where else available and we had to move our stuff around in the room for work men changing the heaters not ideal when guests are stopping in them! Should have been offered something for the inconvenience or at least a discounted stop for next time!

I had a great stay this month at Colton Travelodge. The room was clean and just a pretty standard hotel room. The receptionist Michael was lovely, very polite and helpful. Not too bad on the eye either. Good amount of parking space and a brilliant location with lots of shops/restaurants nearby.

Worst stay at a Travelodge. Paid for early check in only to be told was not available. Got refunded but then meant 3 hours hanging around. Reception could hardly be bothered. Tap in the bathroom barely worked as no pressure and in the morning people smoking and chatting right outside our window. Not a great stay.

Stayed here on the 22nd of july we went into our room went to make a cup of tea to find there were no cups but I think his name was Stephen on reception sorted it very quickly. The room was spotless with a added bonus a bath which my wife was very happy to see. Thanks to all the staff the hotel was very clean.
Absolutely fine for a quiet night's sleep. We stayed three nights while visiting family and this was ideal for a place to sleep with easy parking and no extraneous bells and whistles. There's always someone on duty with a welcoming and friendly smile, without being obtrusive. Would stay again. More
My only gripe was that there was a strange odour in the Room, smelled a bit Musty and the Decor was a bit tired, the Location was Great though and so was the price for the Room.

I stayed at the Leeds-Colton Travelodge hotel for long time. It was very lovely to stay there. All staff; Chaly, Stephen, Shaun, Samanta and et al; are helpful and so kind. If you have a plan to stay in Leeds or driving to north/ south, it
Arrived with work mate to find room with double bed, returned to reception was told there was a kids bed underneath we had to pull out and erect, eventually reception came to room and put the kids bed up and threw some linen at us to make
There is the essential for a few days, a bed, a toilet with shower, a desk with two chairs and a wardrobe. Tea, coffee and kettle available in the room. Also a sign to put outside the door if you need they to refill tea and coffee. Staff
Basic hotel but does the job. Great location for seeing family and very easy access to M1. Bonus that they take dogs.

Very pleased with my stay, me and my mate were greeted with a warm welcome from the beautiful receptionist called Samantha, she was a great help dealing with us being a drunk mess lol.
Room clean with plenty of hot water. Room way to hot and bed a tad small. Parking could be problem as shared with McDonald's, subway and a pub. Great location for motorway access. More
The rooms were clean, very comfortable, and the staff was nice. The bed was extremely comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. Great location. Perfect hotel for a business trip.
Rooms were as expected for a travelodge. Clean and fairly spacious. Entry and check out really good and efficient. Price was a bit confusing as kept changing during booking.
A typical Travelodge. Clean, quiet, and in a good location. There are plenty of eating places within a very short walk. Recommended. More
Would love to post a good review, however..... Everything was great until I had a fall. I needed an ambulance. A week or so
