Editing this on 3/14/2023 - It took me forever to finally call, but the shop did indeed make this right. It is very much appreciated and I'll most certainly be back; I just put in an order for another fix. Thanks y'all! In a world where my typical work week is 50 or so hours and my main hobby is riding uphill with cars passing far too close, it's difficult to find time to maintain my bikes myself. As a result, I am constantly on the hunt for a shop that is both friendly and trustworthy. After trying a few different Trek shops, I thought I had finally found a spot that I could trust with my Emonda. Apparently not. I brought my bike in last week to take advantage of the Level 2 tune up where it was also recommended that I replace my chain, rear cassette, and rear pads. I found this somewhat suspicious since I had a Level 2 done (with a new chain and rear cassette added) at the shop on Sandy not 6 months ago; I certainly hadn't been out for 2,000-3,000 miles in that time frame (thanks, weather), but maybe I was just unlucky. After getting the bike and used parts back (ahead of schedule), I decided to pick up a chain stretch tool to verify that a new chain was needed. No, it was not needed. The .5 indicator wasn't even close to fitting in between the links. I haven't had the time to check the cassette yet, but I suspect that is fine also. The mechanic alerted me to a cracked headset cable routing spacer which will cost an additional $160 to fix. After the latest round of unnecessary repairs, I am highly suspicious of this. I don't have a lot of time or money, it's a shame to be taken advantage of like this.
I know that all businesses have been hit hard during COVID and well, businesses in DT Portland even harder due to the rioting/violence. SO appreciate Bike Gallery being open, available, and having bikes etc in stock! Even more, EXCEPTIONAL employees! We encountered Russell when we walked in to buy me a bike and DANG, what a super star. SO knowledgeable, so helpful, easy to talk to and not there to try to sell me something I didn't want. (Can we adopt him???) While we were working with Russell, we met Dan. So much fun! We talked hockey till we were blue in the face! He didn't have to spend time with us - but he did! Then came Alex - he found me my awesome pink WaveCel helmet (that he wanted to buy - sorry, Alex! You get the next one! ;) and helped us finish up our transaction (and got us some cool Bike Gallery pint glasses =) The 3 Amigos were THE BEST! What a fantastic experience. I bought a Trek FX3 and every single Amigo shared something valuable about the equipment, riding, etc. I can't say enough about how well they all worked together to represent Bike Gallery in such a genuine and professional way. Oh yah, "Nathan The Service Guy" (and the other brilliant bike surgeons in the back) helped make adjustments to my bike to insure it fit me to a T! To Justin the Manager: Raises for all!!! Great job running your store. We will recommend you to everyone! Keep up the great work. =)PS: Rode the bike yesterday and I LOVE IT!Megan and Chris S.
I was in town for two weeks with just my bike to get around and it was due for a tune up. I was referred here by a passerby and had a poor experience. Not only did they say it would take a week to get me in, but it would take a week to get my bike back. I told them I was only in town for a couple weeks and asked for the minimum maintenance, but they barely looked up from the computer. The guy told me a bunch of stuff needed to get fixed or replaced and gave me a quote over $120 + parts. I made a few calls and found two places I could get in within a couple days with fair rates so I went back to get my bike. When I told them why I was picking my bike up, the person helping me apologized for the misquote and said they could get me in today. The guy who originally helped me didn't even have the decency to greet me or take part in the conversation. He saw me come in and hid behind a bike in the back. I'm glad I decided to go for a second opinion elsewhere. I hopped over to North Portland Bike Works. They were so friendly and helpful here. They gave my bike a tune-up right then and there and found it to be in perfect condition, questioning what the guys quoted me on here and saying nothing needs to be replaced. In my experience, this place will take advantage of your situation and your lack of knowledge if you aren't an avid cyclist. I recommend shopping around elsewhere for a tuneup.
I deeply regret taking two of my bicycles to this shop for repair. I had never been to this bike store before, and picked them because they had the shortest wait time to get my bikes returned to me, and I had some important rides I didn't want to miss. My gravel bike was brought in for a tune up, and spent $440 on deluxe tune up and drive train clean up. The seat post was not examined, and was stuck in the frame; had to take back to the shop to get unstuck for an additional $40. I also spent $565.99 tuning up my mountain bike; worn out grips were not replaced, had to go to a shop for new grips. My mountain bike was hit in a rear end collision. The shop evaluated the front wheel as damaged. They rebuilt the wheel with a substandard rim (approximately 1/2 the price of the rim of the original front wheel which was a custom astral wheel with wanderlust rim). I would never have agreed to this decision, especially because I am now going to be reimbursed by insurance at much lower amount. When this matter was discussed after the wheel was built, the shop did not take ownership of this decision. Eric Zugor, the acting service manager, refused to offer to refund the difference of the rims, and refused to give me the name of his owner. I found the mechanics friendly and professional, but can't abide by these business practices.
I had a very bad experience when getting my daily commuter bike overhauled. I am not a bicycle repair expert, that is why I took my bike to professionals in the first place and I was willing to spend quite a lot to restore it and get it back to its former glory. Most of the repairs/replacements done seem fine, but there were quite a few important but simple problems which make me question some of the more complicated repairs. My rear brakes were not tightened at all and immediately upon picking up my bike I had to brake hard to avoid a driver drifting into my lane. My brakes nearly fell off in the street and did not give nearly enough stopping power. The front brakes were severely over tightened and the brakes were scraping against the wheel. Also a few weeks later the screw on my rear fender came loose and vibrated out while riding. If someone like myself who is hardly handy at all can manage to tighten my brakes to proper tension and tighten screws sufficiently to keep them in place... why the hell can't experts do it? Management did respond politely to my comments after the repairs, but the damage is done. The purpose of this review is to be honest, and I hope that in the future, employees will pay better attention to the repairs they complete, no matter how small they seem.
Bought tubes here and had a replacement put in while my bars were re wrapped. Good experience except that it was the 4th try going into the store with no help prior. Today I got a flat and took the replacement tubes out for the tire I just had replaced by them and pumped up the first one I took out, and it had holes in it. Round 2, got the tube all the way in and it wouldn't pump up again. I didn't pinch this tube, so when I took it in, the guy told me I definitely rode on the 1st one I put air into that had holes (coming out of the box), and said the 2nd was put in with a screwdriver (I bought tools from them and got the tire almost completely on without them) I take that as the seam was broken as another defective tube. So when he offered to replace one as it came defective I thought, oh good, but then I purchased 2 extra tubes and he decided to charge me an extra $10 for the 30 seconds it took him to already have put in the tube I needed replaced these guys aren't all bad, but most of them won't do a job unless they have to, and will charge you extra if they do.
I had the BEST customer service experience working with Alex at the downtown Bike Gallery. My husband and I both purchased bikes from this location on the same day. My husband purchased a Trek dual sport bike and I purchased an Electra Townie, complete with saddle bags. THEN I GOT HOME...my family and I went on a long bike ride and I realized I couldn't keep up with my kids and husband (I guess thats the price you pay for riding a cute Townie vs. a mountain bike). I immediately called the Bike Gallery and spoke with Alex letting him know I made a terrible mistake and wanted to know if there was anything we could do about it. He told me it was no problem at all. He said he would have the Trek bike I had previously looked at in the store built and a rack installed so it would be all ready to go for me when I came back to do the exchange. The exchange was hassle free, Alex swapped out my saddle bags to the new bike and I was off again in a matter of minutes. I would definitely recommend the downtown Bike Gallery location if your in the market for a new bike!
Just got off the phone with Nathan, and I must say that it was a very unpleasant conversation for a few reasons. One, he was breathing heavily into the phone; I thought I accidentally dialed a 1-976 number. But, secondly, and most importantly, I was appalled by his unwillingness to assist me with the simplest thing without a fee. I purchased an essentially brand new bike that came from the Bike Gallery, and it only needed MAYBE a one minute adjustment on the gears to make it run more smoothly. So, instead of offering to have me come in and offer excellent customer service, he said he would have to charge me for a minor tune-up!!! What!?!?!? Whether I am the first or second owner shouldn't matter; they still made their money on the sale, and the bike is less than a year old!!! Pennywise and dollar foolish! I will NEVER buy ANYTHING from the Bike Gallery!! Great job, Nathan - you just lost a customer for life! Your manager will be proud!
I've been searching for a new mountain bike for the past 2 years now. I've been on a wait list which unfortunately just got further and further from the date 1st specified, at another location unrelated to this place. My husband had called this place this morning, they had a bike in stock for me and held it till we came in. From the moment we called to the sales process and taking it home, it was a fabulous experience. Very friendly sales rep (Alex), great with my crazy kiddos while we did the buying process, offered stickers to them to keep them occupied. Not a pushy sales rep, but an all around down to earth gentlemen who honestly answered all our questions and then some. I had never been here before, and certainly after today will be back for servicing and accessories. Loved how knowledgeable and friendly the staff we enteracted with were.
Welcome Too Machine, Ah perfect choice for an old, half crippled, fussy guy, puttin' off gettin' that electric wheelchair ! So Honestly, you won't go wrong here with Trek's incredibly agile & smoother than silk, luxurious rolling ride, I researched bicycles for well over ah year, on the world brain. Before I decided on my new Trek, purchased here from Justin & the Good-Fellows at this shop ! Especially when "One" considers that my Beloved Potlandia is an undeniable cornucopia, of an overflowing, seemingly bottomless abundance of bicycle choices , , too research at night ! ! ! Inasmuch as gas prices, $$$.$$ may have you down & grumpy. Do yourself ah Big-Favor & come on in & test drive ah new Trek today , , you may just go home feelin' Ten - Twenty- Fifty Years Younger.... ....and that ain't No - Bull Spit....
It was immediately clear to me that the employees wanted to set me up with a bike that would suit me best (not just the most expensive). I had gone to two other shops in the area that said I needed a $1200+ bike just for commuting the 4 miles between work and home. This was not the case at Bike Gallery. They showed me a few different bikes that would be safe and efficient for my commute. They encouraged me to test ride, which I appreciate because it was that test ride that made me fall in love with this bike. I also appreciate their fairly priced accessories kits which helped me save lots of money tricking out my new bike. I'm a pretty indecisive person and the associate helping me with finding a helmet was very patient and kind. Overall, a great experience and great purchase.
Excellent quality customer service, outstanding business with an emphasis on customer care and support. They gave me a 10% discount even though I had forgotten to mention it until I saw it on their website, actually I had waited so long they could have very easily said no you should have known about it and mentioned it when you made the purchase but they were actually really cool about it I have gotten all of my bikes worked on ever since I started riding again and the transactions and service has always been good, especially Nate in the service Department, he does a great job and makes extra tweaks and adjustments that in all honesty he doesn't have to do. just got my bike back today and I couldn't be happier, it rides like a champ
I'm very impressed with staff at this store. On several occasions, they've taken the time to talk with me on the phone about options for my needs. I love that when I call on the phone, someone answers. A different local Trek store put me through a host of automated menu options, so having a real person answer the phone here was a pleasant surprise. The staff members are extremely courteous and friendly, and go out of their way to be helpful. Blake in the service shop spent time with me on the phone, to try to identify a good bike for my toddler. When I took my own bike in for service, Blake evaluated it on the spot, and only recommended what was needed. I think this store is committed to first-rate customer service. I'm grateful and impressed.
Bike Gallery is a great shop, the staff is both informative and respectful. They have a good selection and don't try to sell you things you don't need. Tobin was very patient and helpful when I was in there debating a purchase, I can't say enough good things about my experience at this bike shop. As a true testament to this shop, I actually chose to buy bikes from here in person and ship them back to me versus buying from a local retailer in Minnesota. There was a slight issue with one of the bikes purchased (in shipping not even the shops fault) and Roger didn't hesitate to do more than he had to, to ensure I was completely satisfied with my purchase. Seriously, buy from these guys in confidence.
Proud owner of a new Project One Emonda, SLR 7! The folks at Trek Portland Downtown were super helpful and patient with all my questions. When the bike finally arrived, Nora spent a lot of time with me to make sure things were dialed in. Others also were there to help or answer my questions. They made sure I had everything I needed, without trying to push me to buy extras that didn't fit my riding goals. Justin was also extremely helpful in responding to my questions in the days after I picked up the bike and I am confident his shop will continue to support me in the years to come. I highly recommend Trek Portland Downtown for your next bike!
I have purchased two bikes from the Bike Gallery over the past 5 years. Most recently a new Trek Fuel which is an amazing bike that I put through its paces just this weekend. Despite living 100 miles away, I've also gone to them for servicing when needed. In all instances the employees I have dealt with have provided fantastic customer service. It's clear to me that the most important thing to the employees at Bike Gallery is for the customer to be happy with their purchase. A bike can be a big investment and they help you throughout the process to ensure you'll get a bike that serves your needs. Thanks Bike Gallery!
I just bought a bike from The Bike Gallery (Downtown) and had an incredibly positive experience. I had a particular bike I wanted, so they ordered one in for me. To no fault of anyone, it had a warranty issue straight out of the box which was taken care of promptly (it felt like a time warp, this was seriously done in record speed). Even despite the warranty situation, I was out and riding the bike two weeks after placing the order. Through the entire process, the staff was friendly, knowledgable, communicative, and really made me feel like a valued customer. I would recommend the Bike Gallery to anyone who asks.
Staff is so kind. Went to store due to squeaky brake pads. Sawyer fixed them perfectly and super quickly. I told him I had a bad bike crash with my Bontrager helmet and didn't get injured at all! He and Justin told me Bontrager have a replacement program for crashed helmets even if the helmets don't "appear" damaged! So they swapped my crashed on (that looked fine) for a new one. Amazing! Yay, Bontrager!! All the staff are so helpful but for today, I only know 2 staff names- Sawyer and Justin. But the other folks are also great!!! Love Trek. Their sales are fabulous and they have the best customer service, ever!
Alex patiently helped me pick out the right mountain bike to get me started in the sport. He is an experienced rider and used his knowledge to help ME make a good choice, not trying to sell me something more expensive. Russell did the same thing for my best friend and gave honest answers about his personal experience with different features of the bikes my friend was comparing. Nathan, in the service dept, helped solve my problem of a recurring flat tire and gave me advice on how to avoid that issue in the future. I am very happy I listened to him as i had a great, worry free ride, at Post Canyon the next day!!
Great service and friendly, knowledgeable staff. I took my bike in for a deep tune up including the replacement of multiple components and it now rides like new. The staff provided an initial quote that ultimately covered all needed repairs including a few unforeseen issues and the bike was ready when promised. I appreciate that the store has implemented some basic yet well thought out measures to ensure proper social distancing for customers and employees. This is exactly the kind of local business that we should all try to support. Bike Gallery will be my first choice for any cycling needs moving forward.
Justin the salesperson was very helpful and knowledgeable. I said what I was interested in and he showed me just what I asked about and then he would show me the models that were similar that were on sale and the ones that were a step up in features and models a step down for my consideration. I had a good grasp of what I was getting for my money. Justin knew all of the details and was eager to let me try things and made sure I was fitted to each item...bike and accessories. He even offered to come out and load my bike and accessories into my car. Great tech and sales at Bike Gallery!
I’ve never been to a Trek shop that wasn’t exceptional. They’re always such nice and amazing people who welcome you and help you with all their effort to make sure you’re happy. I tried an E-bike to attempt to win one but while I didn’t get one, I still walked out with a water bottle, and a quad lock mount and case. I’m happy as can be. Chris was really chill and answered all my questions about the bike very quickly. I’m gonna end up with a Trek bottle and stickers on an Ibis bike which I’m sure will lead to a couple laughs on the trails. Thanks for being awesome. Michael
My husband and I recently took our twenty-one year old Bike Fridays to be tuned at the Bike Gallery. It had been awhile-perhaps as many as 10 years. One internal hub was no longer functioning, the other had gears that kept jumping. The brakes needed work. We decided on a full tune up. Those bikes were returned as if new! Everything is working smoothly and great. And, the bicycles were completely cleaned. We are so completely delighted. We highly recommend the Bike Gallery. Every interaction from drop off to pick up was seamless and professional.
I'm very happy with the experience I have had riding the bike I purchased in this store, Thanks to Jake. He provided an amazing customer experience who patiently spent time guiding and teaching me as I was new into Bikes in order to purchase the right bike and all the accessories I needed. I recommend everyone especially people who are new into bikes to go to that store and visit Jake, he really knows a lot and always figures out ways to put all the pieces together to help you get the best bike and accessories you need for the best experience.
I came in to buy a bicycle helmet for my son and was looking in the wrong place (in the adult helmet section). Even though I had only been looking for a moment, Alyssa came over to see if I needed help. I told her what item I was looking for and she took me right to it. I feel like I got really great customer service on this visit and I appreciate it. I mean, the service was good enough that I took note of Alyssa's name with the intent of leaving this review. I was in and out of the store in less than 5 minutes. Two thumbs up!
I got a flat and decided to go in just to try to fill the tube with their free air and go home. I ended up having them swap out the tube and was very grateful for their service. They were super helpful in diagnosing my second flat of the week and suggested a new tire. Although I passed on the new tire, I was especially impressed to see one of their mechanics putting the tire back on with their bare hands in order to try to make extra sure that my old Tire walls didn't pinched the tube.
We were so happy with our experience! We just moved to Portland and are first-time bike owners. Alyssa was amazing - so incredibly helpful and walked us through everything we needed to know to get us all set up. The bikes we wanted weren’t in stock at the downtown location, but they were brought over from another location and ready to be picked up the next morning! We’ve been so pleased with our bikes (they ride SO well) — and the front and back lights were also a great purchase!
Came to buy entry level road bikes and all of the gear we need as beginners, and were blown away by the great customer service. Laura spent plenty of time with us to make sure we got a bike that fits just right and kept our budget in mind. She seemed to have a lot of knowledge about bikes which she passed right on to us. They also had an area with toys that kept my 4 year old preoccupied. The whole experience was wonderful and I would highly recommend coming to this shop!
My salesperson was so nice, so helpful. My mechanic was so helpful and nice! I'd recommend Trek so fast, I'd recommend it twice! Seriously though, the people were just wonderful, knowledgeable. I'm a very picky cyclist who once was a mechanic and road racer, so I had tough questions on geometry and equipment, but they nailed every bit of it. The salesperson even sat with and kept my wife entertained while I was doing my test ride! I am part of the FAMILY now.
I consider the people who've kept my bike running smoothly and gradually improved every aspect of its ride (drivetrain, wheels, brakes, seat post & stem) as my neighbors since they just did yet another appropriately leveled service that also happens to be its 10 year birthday--with 26K commuter miles logged. With essentially the same 105 level components as original, this bike is still significantly better than new--and not just in my heart.
The crew at this shop is top notch! Alex is very knowledgeable and gave excellent recommendations to consider when purchasing my new mountain bike. It is slim pickings overall with bikes these days but these guys searched nearby shops and brought a bike from another store for me to try out. Alex, Dan and Rachel shared in my excitement of getting the new bike and even helped load the bike into my car. Highly recommend this shop!
Was about to ride on an adventure on the Springwater corridor. Got a flat underneath the Hawthorne bridge when I hit a rock. Tube was blown from the valve. Had deep dish rims and needed a 60mm valve. This place had it and changed my flat and got me rolling quickly. I forgot their names but they were cool and treated my very bike well. Was able to make it to Boring and back to Portland. These guys saved my bike adventure.
Overall I've had good experiences with the repair shop here. I do believe, like a lot of the other reviews say, they press you pretty hard on part replacement. If you look at any bike, you're going to find worn parts that could be replaced. Obviously they have an incentive to press customers on this because it means more $$ for them. With that said, they have always followed through and done great work on the repairs.
The bike I ordered was out of stock and this particular outlet offered me the shortest wait time, and had my bike ready for pick up even a couple of weeks before that. They (Alex) were very prompt with email responses when I was tracking the status throughout. On the pick up day, they (Aaron) were extremely kind to proactively make tiny adjustments apt for my height, some of them I didn’t even have much idea about!
After visiting a few local Trek stores I arrived at the downtown location. My sales person Dan was very nice and knowledgeable. He recommended a bike that was not even on my radar. Dan recommended this sweet leftover 2020 model SL7 that was on special and I instantly fell in love. The service was excellent. Dan’s beard was on point. Clean, organized and professional. 10 out of 10. I will be back. I LOVE TREK!!
I trust the mechanics here with all the services and questions i have about my bike. The products are of amazing quality as well as the employees working here. Coming in to this location they don't try to upsell you, EVER. It is a very honest business with a quick turn around. So happy I found this spot. Thank you for always explaining all the services that are needed and not needed, respectfully.
I was just passing by this location and had an issue with the front wheel of my bike. The staff was super helpful to a random new bike rider. Quickly discovered the problem that wa a simple fix replaced the minor part which the condpsidered to be “spare” and sent me in my merry way without charge. outstanding experience and first impression for sure. I will be returning here in the future.
Staff is always very knowledgeable and friendly. There's a wide variety of products and services at various price points to choose from. And even though I know next to nothing about bike maintenance/repair they never make me feel foolish. I've been coming to the Bike Gallery for about 10 years now and I always have a good experience there every single time. They ROCK!
Friendly staff, super fast turnaround on repair, awesome recommendation for inexpensive alternatives to parts. It was my first time in, even though I'm a long-time bike commuter in Portland. All of the other shops (especially West side) have either closed or are too good/busy to work on daily commuter bikes. I appreciate the friendly service and will certainly return.
Chris and the bike tech were extremely helpful with all aspects of my bike purchase and set up. I felt welcome in the store. They were happy to share knowledge about the bike, accessories, and maintenance. They were patient as I explored options for accessories. Overall, I had a fantastic experience and would highly recommend for both new and experienced cyclists.
Justin went the extra mile for my bike purchase! He went to the Westmoreland store himself and picked up a bike for me there and is holding it downtown for me until next week. He was also helpful in distinguishing the type of mountain bike that would work best for me. He was creative in problem solving instead of just saying, No, sorry. Appreciate it all!
Love this place. Talked to bike technician named Chris at this location, I told him I wanted my shifter upgraded and had a brand new shifter. Chris took my bike in same day and returned it to me in less than 45 minutes, shifter upgraded and finely tuned. Insanely kind technician and very knowledgeable. Thank you Chris and Trek!
I usually go to the Sandy Blvd. Trek shop for repairs but got a flat on my way into the office downtown and realized my tire was shot. These guys recommended a new one and had me fixed up within minutes so I was able to make it to my meeting. I barely had time to check out the large selection of bikes. Fast, friendly service.
Super kind staff! Working hard and fast during this high demand time for bikes! Was able to get my bike back quickly and for a great price. Also, they are being very cognizant and cautious for COVID-19 and only letting limited customers in at a time. I appreciate their respect for all, in all aspects of life and bikes!
I had multiple issues with my bike, they had it fixed just after an hour. I paid what I felt was a reasonable price and my bike is working better than ever. Also the people there are very nice to talk to and were very helpful and answered all my questions and gave me advice that I asked for. Highly recommend.
Folks at the Bike Gallery helped me purchase my first commuter bike 3-4 years ago. They didn't try to oversell me. It is the perfect bike. I take it for repair every January and completely trust them to overhaul as needed, and don't feel like they overcharge. At all. Always kind, helpful and knowledgable.
Very friendly and helpful staff. They could have just charged for service and I'd have to keep coming back but they taught me about my bike as well so I could do minor work myself. That's a kind of professionalism and shared passion I'm surprised to see. I'm definitely coming back here for the big work!
I got to learn HOW to change my back tire on my own as it was being changed. They actually teach you about your bike, not pressure you to buy things! A very low pressure on expected trip. I felt extremely appreciated being in the shop as much as I appreciated the staff. Prices seem very reasonable.
The sales people are good, I was served by one of their managers when I bought a helmet and the experience was great. But I can't say the same about one of their repair guys, white, with very short hair. I met him twice over a period of 3 months or so, both times he acted like he had male-PMS.
Bike Gallery is great. We have purchased a few kid bikes there over the years and they always have nice people working there. With things crazy with Covid-19 they had the store set up in a safe manner with great physical distancing. Thanks so much and visit a great bike shop in DT Portland!
Super cool staff everyone I talked to was super knowledgeable. Had a new tire and tube on fast, no high pressure sales or up selling, price was right. Covid compliance Spots on the street are only $0.50 for 15 minutes the big lot up the street is a starting rate of $5
Amazing customer service. I currently have an issue with a shipment that was purchased online. It is the USPS issue and the bike gallery has done everything they can do to correct the problem. It is a pleasure to deal with a company that puts customer service at the top of their list.
Incredible customer service. Everyone was extremely friendly and very helpful. Showed options but didn't push anything. Reserved a bike over the phone and it was ready for pick up the next day. Will definitely go out of my way to visit this location for bike related parts and service.
I went in for a tubeless conversion. They were able to get everything all set up and answered all of my questions. They were respectful and super helpful! They gave me advice on cleaning and maintenance and I had an amazing experience. I would recommend this shop to anyone!
Roger and team were impressively knowledgeable. Asked us what we were looking to do. Made suggestions well within budget, did not feel any pressure. Wanted to make sure we were completely satisfied before leaving with a bike(s). Our new bike store with great personnel.
I recently spoke with Alex to help me to identify what sort of bike would be best for me. I found him professional, well informed and objective - he did not try to unnecessarily upsell me to sort of bike beyond my needs. I would definitely recommend working with him!
I had a bit of an issue with a mismatched service charge for a very simple repair. Bike Gallery was really flexible and cool about working it out. I should have asked first before getting angry online about it. Lesson learned. They were great about the situation.
5 stars. Affordable products, affordable services, very friendly attitude. I wish I got his name, but one employee cut my rear rack struts for free near the end of closing-time. I couldn’t believe it. A really awesome guy. This place rocks. I’m so fortunate.
Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable. I'm sometimes uncomfortable going into bike stores because sometimes staff can be intimidating and gate-keepy. These guys were super nice and answered all my questions without making me feel stupid. Highly recommend!
Sawyer was great when it came to walking me through the options for bike repair and helped me make an informed decision. Dan was very friendly when I first entered the shop and when I was done at the repair area. All around a great experience.
Awesome shop. Been to a few Bike Gallery shops in the area and they are all superb. They are very knowledgeable. Picked up a new Fuel EX8 today and they were super quick getting me all set up to ride. Definitely will purchase from them again.
I bought a quality road bike in April. Six weeks later a hard-to-pin-down creak frustrated my meditative rides with pops and clicks. Nathan, at the downtown store, quickly was able to replicate the creak in the store and then patiently took
Excellent staff; friendly, competent, knowledgeable. The store is situated so you can easily park and get your bike in with ease. They completed my job a few days prior to what they stated. I’ll definitely be using these guys moving forward.
The staff helped me pick out good lights for my bike and gave me advice about tires. They were helpful and knowledgeable. I'll definitely go there again. The location is really convenient for me, cause it's right downtown near the library .
Super friendly and easy bike purchasing staff and experience. Test rode bicycle I liked, it was safety checked and I was out the door in 5 minutes. Rode back, picked a few accessories and bike was given a once over by mtc technician again
I was looking for a shop that would service my Bike Friday with a Rohloff hub and belt drive. I found Trek in my neighborhood and was impressed with the service from start to finish. Joe explained the different levels of service depending
I have been bringing my bike to this shop for the past two years and the level of service has been fantastic. Joe and the team have been super helpful and I've always gotten my bike back in a reasonable amount of time, in great condition,
Bike Gallery in Downtown Portland is the best bike shop I've been to. The staff is friendly, helpful, and professional. I bought a used bike this summer when everything shut down and Bike Gallery has not only provided great service, but
As someone without a car who has to commute to three different jobs during the week, I rely heavily on my bicycle, and its normal functioning. I have gone to the Bike Gallery many times, and the experience is always the same: I arrive
I've been a customer for many years. The service of my bicycle is consistently top-notch. I don't purchase a lot of bike gear, but when I do, I'm very satisfied with their products and selection. I highly recommend Bike Gallery.
My wife and I loved the customer service at this place. We stopped at two other bike shops and didn't like the inventory or the customer service. Had a great experience at Trek Bicycle, highly recommend! And I love my bike.
The team is so informative, nice, personable, empathetic and remembered me even though I'd only come in once before! They're also super knowledgeable and helpful with any bike repairs/upgrades. Will absolutely be back.
Friendly & attentive staff, beautiful bikes and answers to all my questions! Got me set up with the lock I needed to enjoy Portland by bike and it made for an absolutely unforgettable experience! Cheers, y'all!
Twice now I have dropped in with an emergency puncture and both times these guys fixed it up within the hour! Even though they were busy! Great service what a bike shop should be! Top rated A++ …
Great shop that goes the extra mile to provide exceptional customer service! Thanks Dan and the rest of the staff. I'm visiting from out of town and they made sure my visit was one to remember.
The staff is fantastic. You can be an ordinary person and go here: you don’t have to be wealthy. The shop is clean and organized. We were helped promptly and with respect.
These folks know bikes. Excellent customer service, recommendations and knowledge were top notch. And if you have to drive there in a car, plenty of parking all around!
Sawyer helped this buffoon of a bike owner, that didn’t know anything about his bike. If he can show me what’s up, he can show anyone. Thank you for the great service!
The staff answered all of my questions over the phone. Set up a test ride and ultimately helped me with purchase of a new bike and accessories. Excellent experience!
Fantastic service. The team (Sawyer?) worked to fit me in so it worked for my schedule. They were very accommodating, friendly and efficient. Really appreciated it.
I was treated so nice and I love my new bike! They had two on hold for me and told me all about them! Great experience for someone who knows nothing!
Great people, very helpful and they know their stuff. I do not own a Trek but they knew of my make and were so helpful in getting me taken care of
Appreciate the solid service... taking time to figure things out and do them right. Good communication about status and ready to pickup etc.
The customer service is excellent. The staff members are not pushy at all and do really great work when it comes to tune-ups and repairs.
Extremely knowledgeable staff for both repairs (Sawyer) and gear (Chris). My two boys and I could not have been happier. Thanks, gents!
The people working here are so helpful and take the time to make sure you find what you’re looking for. Absolutely wonderful staff!
Great visit the other day, Chris was very informative and got my bike fixed up while I looked around the store. Thanks again!
Went in for a couple of quick repairs and was taken care of in a very timely fashion. Really friendly folks.
