I've had a great experience purchasing bike goodness from Trek Hollywood, but today I want to talk about the service shop. We all dream of our bike never needing any repairs, but a gorgeous ride needs love and that's all there is to it. I brought two bikes into Trek Hollywood for their winter tune up special and the results were awesome. Here's the magic ingredients: 1. Service focused on what you need: -When I brought my bike in I was ready to have anything and everything replaced and updated. Tony (a rockstar of a wrench) gave my rides a solid look over. He pointed out what needed repair, replacement, and then highlighted what was perfectly good for more miles. That's right! He could have upsold me so easily, but his goal was a solid repair and great service. Integrity powers activate. 2. Matching service to story: -As I was talking about my riding style Tony took the time to really listen. He realized that I was planning on logging some big miles this summer with high elevations. While the rotors on my bike were fine for general use, upgrading to a larger size rotor and adding a couple of extra teeth when replacing my used crank would increase my safety on decents and make steep hills a touch easier to tackle. That attention to making sure that my Trek Domane matched my adventures and needs was super awesome. Plus, I learned more about my bike! 3. People who love bikes: -Today I picked up the road bike and mountain bike that I had brought in for repairs and upgrades. The bikes rolled out all shiny. I know...it shouldn't matter that I bike has been cleaned and waxed, but they did and it was awesome! Oliver in shop walked me through all the repairs for each bike and then we fell into talking bikes. "Where are you going to ride your mountain? Oh, have you heard about Sandy Ridge? What about Rocky Point. Let me tell you about some of my favorite spots. You know...if you really get into riding your mountain more, consider a drop post. Makes huge difference." It was totally clear that the folks at Trek love bikes and really want people to have a safe and joyful time on two wheels. Trek is a giant in the bike industry, and their Hollywood Shop lives like a neighborhood bike shop should. You might expect a focus on profits and selling product. Nope. When you walk in the door people know your name. They have big smiles and are always happy to chat up bikes and help you out. (Trevor even complimented my new hat...come on. So kind.). It's a great shop with a great team. I consider Trek Hollywood part of my neighborhood community and they've earned my trust and my business.

You have knowledgable people on levels far above and beyond any other bike shop I have experienced. They LISTEN. They ask questions. They seek clarification. They are not pretentious. They are personable. On a human level. They are thorough and their attention to detail is exceptional. Their demeanor and interaction are disarming which in today's world of bikes and cycling and their exponential advancements it makes a HUGE difference when spending alot of money on a bike. Yes, alot of superlatives used to describe your team there but they EARN it with each and every customer interaction. I drive an hour and a half to this shop because of all of the above. People like Stefan make it easy. He embodies why we have for many years been raving fans of your service and your bikes. For reference, we have purchased (8) bikes from this shop in the past three years, a spend totaling $75K including accessories. Wow! Talk about customer service. We all know that Trek bikes rock. They are a super high-end bike maker with tons of research behind their design and build. If you buy a Trek, you’re going to be happy. However, if you choose to buy your Trek from the Hollywood store you are going to have a really great experience buying that bike! That’s like adding extra frosting to a delicious cupcake. The employees there bring it with customer service, friendliness, and flexibility . They are cool if you want to hang out and just talk bikes in a no pressure situation and will give you all the support you need when you’re ready to make a purchase. Stefan helped me pick out a gorgeous Domane+ and was so great about coaching me on what accessories made the most sense. Love my ride! I’ve also had to make returns and they are always so great and friendly. They really want you feeling good about your purchases. Even cooler, I just got a Trek goodie Holiday box with a personal and funny note from Stefan! Wow, I was blown away! That’s some amazing customer service! My next bike is going to be purchased at the Hollywood store for sure!

Six years ago I bought in my first Ebike from the bike gallery since then Trek Bicycles took over that location. I always taken my bike for repairs and was treated very well and professionally period and then this last April somehow The kickstand came off at the welding Site I took the bike into track to see what they can do about The situation also had to have a tire fix. They told me they could not fix the kickstand period Good It's not aware that the bike was still under warranty. So they put a claim in for me. And within a week, they called me and let me know that the company Was going to replace the bike free of charge? All I had to do was come in and tell them which one I wanted to replace it with. So yesterday on July 7th 2023. I was able to pick up my brand new bike. And it's beautiful. I would hardly recommend anybody that Would like to buy any kind of bike whether it is an e bike or wriggler bike you go to trek bicycle. And a special thanks to Tony and Oliver in the repair shop for helping me through the years. And many more more to come, thank you guys.

I bought my first real road bike yesterday. I bought it in Eugene and so it took me two hours to drive there and two hours to drive back. After getting it home, I was afraid that the bike might have been too big because of the stand over height. Instead of driving back to Eugene, I came into the Hollywood store for the first time. The kindness and welcoming approach by Theron, and the rest of the guys at the shop was nothing short of amazing. Theron helped me to confirm that the bike is the right size for me, but that we needed to make several adjustments so that it fit my body. I spent over two hours at the shop not only getting the bike dialed in, but getting my first pair of clipless road shoes. The tape on my handlebars was not installed properly when it was built and so they replaced it with all new tape without any charge. They also helped me to confirm the part that I needed for my new bike trainer. I just cannot say enough about how fantastic an experienced this was. This will be the only shop I am going to from now on. You have a customer for life!

I’ve had a trek road bike for about 13 years now. I am a seasonal rider (aka won’t ride in the rain) and love biking around to town breweries and shows in the summer as well as doing some longer rides. The bike has held up beautifully always getting me where I want to go comfortable. I absolutely love my trek bike. Having a Trek shop right on Sandy makes it SUPER convenient too! I have never needed any repairs done until this Saturday when the air valve thingy snapped. My sister was going to borrow my bike for a ride that evening. I was panicked she wouldn’t be able to do her ride. I rushed into the Trek store and was greeted by Oliver who took one look at the bike and said “no problem, we will have you all fixed up in 5 min!” Music to my ears. He even showed me how to change the tube out myself!! He was so friendly and efficient. Thank you Oliver and the entire trek team!

I had a wonderful experience the other day picking up my new Marlin 5 from Andrew and Nick at Trek Hollywood. Andrew was super helpful and I felt well taken care of as he took the time to walk me through my new model. I felt like I was buying a new car as they showed me around the shop and ensured that my new bike was ready to go after finalization. They provided excellent customer service, including drinks while we waited and including a free tube with my purchase of a bike tool kit. Amenities were friendly and clean, bathroom was available too. I'd highly recommend going with these guys, they even took the time to ask me if i wanted them to install my attachments before leaving the store. Nick also offered to help me get my new bike into the car. Very solid!

I went to this bike shop for a relatively simple fix, I have been getting a lot of flat tires on my commute and think I need new rim tape. I walked in and nobody helped me, I looked around waiting for someone to free up and trying to see if I could find rim tape myself, the staff were walking around but never acknowledged me (walking around with my tire and rim). So finally I decided to wait in line for the service shop because that seemed like the only way to talk to an employee. After about 20 minutes of waiting, I left. I am giving 2 stars instead of 1 because they have off-street parking and other people seemed like they were having a good experience. This seems like a good shop if you are looking to buy a new bike.

I went in for a warranty claim on 6/3/22 with no idea what to expect. I found an extremely helpful staff, willing to chase down my proof of purchase for me, despite my own inability to remember which branch I'd bought the bike from 7 years ago. In the end, Trek's warranty was extremely helpful in replacing my broken frame, and the staff made that warranty very easy to apply for. I am not a brand loyalist - I buy what works for me, when I need it. Trek won my business 7 years ago by offering a reasonably priced bike large enough to fit me (6' 7" and 240 lbs), but as long as the PDX Hollywood Trek store keeps their amazing staff - I'll keep going back.

I was somehow expecting somewhat mediocre shop service from the big establishment Trek dealer. On the contrary, their maintenance/ repair work on my older bike was awesome. I rolled in without an appointment and the tech immediately put my bike on the rack and gave me an initial assessment of work required. He took a practical approach to prioritizing work and listened to my opinion as well. The work was completed by the estimated completion date and the cost came in somewhat less than estimated. The techs sourced some hard to find parts and discussed work performed as well as the condition of my bike. Really positive experience.

I had a not so great service situation turn into an amazing one! I brought my bike in for a few repairs. It initially got lost in the line up and wasn’t ready when promised. Then the part there was repaired didn’t work properly. All it took was a mention and the service department was at my house to pick up the bike to remedy the situation. They even added an extra tune up for all my troubles and delivered it back to my home, same day. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. I would recommend TREK 10/10 times. Fantastic service with a true sense of commitment to acting in the customer’s best interest. The entire purchase process, from first telephone call, to store visit, to test ride, and then purchase was just a pleasure. There were no hard sales pitches, no attempts to up sell, and no pressure to buy. Everyone took time to explain the features and idiosyncrasies of the bike and then let me make my own decision through a test ride. Great experience with Trek of Portland/Hollywood! Online, I bought a new bike and Bluetooth sensor, but the sensor doesn't fit the bike. They gave me a call to explain, and suggested another sensor that would work for the same price, and without me asking they even installed it for me. Also really appreciated that they took precautions for covid. People are acting like it's over, but when I asked if we could do a curbside pickup - no problem at all. I forget his name, but the sales guy even put on a mask before he came outside. I'll definitely be back!

Trek team in Hollywood district is simply nothing short of amazing! My wife and I came in once to see what kind of bikes they had , and I ended up purchasing one that same day! Theron was so attentive and interested to get us a bike we were looking for and we felt very encouraged to stick with Trek especially after checking out a couple of other stores in between. It was a long drive from Sherwood, but well worth the effort to get the pair of matching Electra Cruiser 7 bikes we wanted in the Matte Bark color (bronze) just hours from the annual Star Trek ride we wanted to participate in. Your staff was very polite, friendly, and helpful. Your showroom is spacious and well lit, with a nice waiting area. These are not details that I have seen at any other bike shop before. Well done. They even were happy to capture a photo of us with our new bikes.

I bought a new gravel bike! Joshua was very helpful and patient, answering all my questions and making sure all the modifications I requested were incorporated into the build. This past summer Trek Hollywood packed my road bike for a Bikeflights shipment out of town, and received and reassembled the bike on return. All went smoothly as planned. LOVE these folks. Just picked up my bike from a seasonal tune-up and it looks Amazing. They explained everything they fixed up and swapped out and then they even gave me a brand new helmet at no extra charge because my (admittedly ancient) old one was no longer effective and they wanted me to be safe. This is the fourth bike I’ve purchased from the store at this location. Always helpful, always professional, just great customer service along with being very knowledgeable about all the bikes. Trek Bikes was also very good at honoring their lifetime warranty on my carbon fiber frame when a crack was discovered. I had the frame replaced within 3 weeks.

Although, when you want something custom, starting with a product they don't even sell, thats what separates the brains from the cashiers. One year ago I took my bike in because my handlebar shifter seemed to need replacing. They were able to fix it in 5 minutes without charge. Today I took it in for the same problem. They suggested replacing it for $9. The labor would be $41. I think that's a bit ridiculous.
