Saw in the Melbourne guide about the trinket bar, and thought ooh I'll give that a go. Walked in off the street, was given a bit of option where we could sit, the staff were quite lovely and welcoming, and quick. The problem for my partner and I, was firstly the drinks, we got the mango and captain, and could barley drink them, they were both quite tangy and just the mix with one of the alchohols was too overpowering. Secondly with the food we had the cheese plater, garlic bread balls, and panacotta. The garlic bread balls probably should be called something else, as the dip didn't taste like there was any garlic, but was quite nice and smooth. The cheese plater was nice to learn something new (definerly having my brief on rasin toast now), but some of the grapes were on the questionable side. The Pana cotta, the base panacotta was so so so nice, and the caramel worked well, but one of the sauces, I don't know what it was, and I think the strawberries were soaked in it, but I was so tempted to spit it out if it weren't for the place we were and i never spit food unless i feel im going to throw up. So there's definitely a really Sour base flavour to most of the things we had, wich felt over bearing. The place looked gorgeous but the mucis was such a different vibe to the setting it felt off putting. Would absolutely love to come again just based on the staff and the decor and to see its other areas, but the food and drink experience has us scared to try again.

I discovered it with a group of friends and it's been a favorite spot ever since. 2 of the things I love most about Trinket Bar is the extensive cocktail menu and their pizzas. Must try is the pumpkin and basil pizza. ❤️ There's something for everyone in the cocktail menu, whether you prefer sweet and fruity drinks or something with a bit more of a kick. Aside from drinks and food, the decor of Trinket Bar is what really sets it apart. It's an intimate space, with cozy seating and walls adorned with interesting trinkets and curiosities. I particularly love the chandler and antique furniture, which give the bar a quirky and charming vibe. One of the things that makes Trinket Bar truly special is the hidden closet pathway that leads to another pub underground. It's an unexpected surprise that always adds a bit of excitement to the evening.

I’ve been looking for reservation in the secret bar for almost a year, and finally Ive booked a table, which made me super excited about it! I did a booking at 8pm with a hope of having a drink and then heading to somewhere else for dinner. We ordered 3cocktails, 2 of Locked and Loaded and one of the other tequila base one( cant remember the name). It took 45mins to serve us with 3 cocktails! As a result of this, we missed our booking for the dinner booking! The service was unexpectedly bad! 45mins for 3cocktails!!! The taste of Locked and Loaded cocktail was very very average! I could have made it a lot better at my home. The vibe was good, and the decoration was nice!

Trinket's Feed Me menu at $49pp was great value, especially as a pre-theatre dinner option. Leave yourself plenty of time though, as there is a lot of food! Efficient and friendly service and a welcoming but busy vibe. Perhaps our only real issue was the size of the table which felt a little cramped with the number of dishes on the table. As a result our servers struggled to find space....but then how often do you read food reviews that complain about too much food?? :-)

5/5 - A great cocktail bar for pre-dinner drinks and a great restaurant for pre-theatre dinner! Have been twice now and each time I am blown away by the stellar service, delicious food and exciting atmosphere. Absolutely must try their mushroom creme fraiche tart. We did the set menu at $49pp for the first time and it was worth every cent! Order: set menu (pepperoni pizza, caprese salad, arancini, salt and pepper calamari, grilled halloumi), mushroom creme fraiche tart, scampi mac and cheese.

I came here last night for the first time and had such a great time! Juan was so lovely to us. I wasn’t sure which cocktail I wanted so Juan asked which flavours I liked and recommended a delicious Shiraz-based cocktail. The flavours were based on the production ‘Moulin Rouge’, and the cocktail was so unique and delicious. Juan was extremely knowledgeable about the drinks and made us feel right at home. We had such a fun evening and can’t wait to come back to try the food too. Thanks to Juan! ❤️

What an amazing hidden gem! The hidden bar through the wardrobe was absolutely gorgeous & a great out of the ordinary experience. The hidden bar has comfy big sofas and a dimly lit environment for a chilled out weekend night. Tried the spicy meatballs for some nibbles & they were so delicious. No chewy bits (like some meatballs) & felt like a freshly homemade dish. Though they were quite busy for the night, they accomodated us nonetheless & earnt full marks in friendly service. Would be back to try more food & drinks!

Very underwhelming. Experience was great - going through the secret door. Thats where it ended though. Wait staff disinterest and disengaged, music so loud you couldnt even talk, apparently had run out of cocktail ingredients, no effort made for already advised special birthdays. We only stayed for one drink as it was so unenjoyable. I'm not sure I'd go again considering the other options available in the CBD.

Service was good. Atmosphere was ok but nothing special. The secret room was not operating on the Sunday we were there which was unfortunate. Think that may have boost the atmosphere score if it was. The cocktails we ordered had a very strong bitter and almost medicine flavour. Not a huge fan, but that's our fault for not understanding the combination.

Such a great bar!! We originally went as we wanted to check out the ‘wardrobe’., but unfortunately that bar was closed. But that was totally finally! We sat at trinket and we had a few drinks near the fireplace. Such a nice and cozy place. The interior looks amazing. Would highly recommend. Will definitely be back to try the food!!!!!

Fantastic bar with a great atmosphere. My only complaint was they had very loud club style music at 5pm which made it difficult to hold a conversation. However, that switched to more lounge music after 6pm. The host graciously changed our table booking as we were underneath the ceiling speakers. Highly recommend Trinket.

Visited for the first time for the Valentines Day special. The set menu was really lovely and the team check and dietary requirements before the day! A great range of cocktails - you can order this through a QR code on the table and the team are really lovely. They have a wardrobe in the main restaurant that leads into a hidden bar area, that is really quaint and lovely if you can find it ;)

Nice cosy bar with decent food and good, affordable drinks. Ambience is great - music isn’t too loud that you can’t have a conversation but sufficiently loud to set the tone. Lighting is also at the right level. Secret entrance downstairs is a cool experience too. Friendly, warm service as well.

This place is absolutely amazing. There is a hidden closet bar which is even more fun. A seperate booking needs to be made for hidden closet bar. Wide range of cocktails with perfect food. Staff are friendly and helpful. Music is good. The fresh pizzas, with good music and drinks makes a perfect night. Signature cocktails are must try.

Went in for the bottomless brunch. Absolute waste of money, we were a table of 8, we all left to go eat elsewhere. Food was subpar , my main was a rocket salad and chips! Waiter couldn't difference between vegan and vegetarian meals, the cocktails contained barely any alcohol. Save your money and go elsewhere. Super average service.

A small group of us attended the bougee bottomless drinks on the later Saturday session. It was well money spent! The staff were plentiful which made service very quick and seamless. The food was great although they are not huge serving sizes. If you’re wondering whether or not to book, I highly recommend!

3.5 Stars. Cool bar to come to. Upstairs felt very restaurant-y while downstairs had a much more bar feel to it. Unfortunately though, downstairs also had a more dungeon feel to it - as if those of us who were down there had been locked in a basement. Perhaps opening up the downstairs bar would fix that?!

Came here on the weekend for a friends birthday. Can honestly say that this venue exceeded expectations. The venue is beautiful, especially the hidden bar, the food is incredible and the drinks were delicious. Not to mention, the service was great too. Can’t wait to come back again!
