I don’t know what has happened in the last few months at Unicity, but my experience with them lately has gone severely downhill. In the past week alone, I’ve had 2 issues. The first happened on Saturday when a cab accepted my booking while only being a 2 minute drive from me and took just over 10 minutes to get to me. There were no traffic accidents or delays on the road seeing how once they finally left their starting point, they were here within the usual time it takes to get from point a to b. The second happened today when trying to get home with groceries. Before booking through the app, I looked in the parking lot of the store to see if there were any and there wasn’t, so I created a booking. It was accepted within seconds and then less than a minute later marked a no show. I recreated the booking and the same thing happened. During this no cabs from Unicity entered the parking lot. I tried to create the booking again and was blocked by the app due to the no shows being flagged. I gave up and just walked home - which normally I would do, but today was a bad pain day for me and walking that distance with all my groceries has now caused it to get worse.

06/12/2023. It would sure be nice to have a taxi option at Winnipeg airport. (No not Urber) I really do not like Unicity Taxi and this I another reason why. We gave our address to the driver and he entered it into google maps. He then proceeded to miss the turn hence it would cost us more . At the next intersection if I wouldn’t have told him to turn right he would have not taken the turn hence costing us more again. I have found the drivers don’t know the city and have to ask direction. NOTE : There is this new technology called Google Maps. Maybe they should use it. Then again why would they, then they wouldn’t be able to RIP customers off by taking a longer route. I have added a couple of pictures of the car number and license number in case you’re interested. Will I be to contacting Unicity, nope. I have tried doing this before and the have no interest in customer service as their sole goal is to take as much the there customers as possible.

The absolute worst cab company in the city. I used their app frequently but back in April, I took a cab to work, the cab driver asked me how I would be paying and I stated I would be paying cash. I booked through the app, I normally turn off to charge my card, but when I was dropped off, I handed him the cash for the fare. I later checked my credit card and it too was charged the fare, even though I paid cash for the ride. I contacted them to let them know this had happened and was scolded for paying cash but they said I'd receive a refund on my card for the ride. This was beginning of April and now into June, I still did not receive my refund so I was double charged for this fare. I did not receive a credit or refund. Just a bunch of thieves working here, robbing their regular customers. I will never use their service again.

Not impressed. I've been using this cab company for 10+ years and I've always paid my fare. Tonight i called for a cab at 4am and was told by the driver that I had to pay up front. My phone was asked for as collateral and that wasn't good enough either. Next he wanted to call the destination to make sure she would have the money to pay him. This company is severely lacking in customer service and how our culture works over here. I am not a criminal who rips off cab drivers, this company knows me by name so to be treated like I'm some hood rat and then refused service because I'm paying at my arrival is unacceptable. You've lost me as a loyal customer and I will not recommend unicity ever again.

1. Car had extreme unpleasant dampness mixed with body odour. 2. Driver was very aggressive with driving 3. Didn’t start the meter and tried to charge a higher fee than what it would have been with the meter on. 4. Once complained he complained back how there is “airport fee” and how he’s been in the industry so he would know. 5. Violently took off after taking my bags off the vehicle.

Driver was a conman. My journey was for 15 mins and it took about 40 mins with no traffic. He kept going around then he over charged me. My trip should be $36 but he was going to charge $50 but he said he’ll give me $5 off. Tried calling their office and I keep getting transferred to a manager but it goes to voicemail. It’s been 5 times already. I’m really displeased.

I prefer this taxi company over the many taxi companies. I used a cab today as I had too many groceries to walk home with. Cab driver put the groceries on the corner of my grass. In my opinion, grocery bags should have been brought to my front door. My review would have been higher. Even when you tip a driver, you don't get assistance with groceries.

Worst cab company in winnipeg. Drivers so reckless in driving, not once but so many times. They CHARGE TOO MUCH and the MOST EXPENSIVE cab you will ever get. And the most scariest ride you will ever experience. Cab driver got into accident while I was on ride and it was his fault. Too bad for him, I became a witness against him.

They have double charged me twice and have acknowledged that they have and would pay me back, but the thing is… that was over 2 months ago and nothing!! So, I have deleted their app and downloaded the Duffys app. I’ve use Unicity exclusively for years but that is now over. So much for customer service, satisfaction or loyalty.

I called 5 minutes before I reached the bus terminal and they had a car there before the bus pulled in. Extremely nice driver, very clean car and driver asked if I had a preferred route, I didn't do he suggested the one with the higher speed limit to get to me destination faster. I was very happy with the service

I am really thankful Unicity taxi for there great service everyday to get to my work on time on cheaper rates even in buzy time without any surcharges . They have great experience and hard working drivers even though they serve there customers in covid time when it is very hard time to reach our destinations.

Called dispatch at 9 am in the morning to book a ride for 12:15 pm. They didn’t show up. I called dispatch back and they told me they had no accessible taxi in the area. Then once we go to our appointment and hour later a taxi showed up at my house. Never taking or phoning unicity again! Horrible company!

Tried to go to the woman's triage today but the cab driver refused to drive me because I told him that I had a taxi slip at the front desk of the hospital waiting for me, and if it wasn't there I also have cash or debit. He still refused to take me, what kind of garbage drivers are you guys hiring ?

I’ve had to use cab service about a dozen times these last few months to get to car repair shops. Every time I used Unicity. The cabs arrived within minutes of placing my request. All the cab drivers were so knowledgeable and friendly. I am very pleased with Unicity cab’s service!

I don't know how your app got dumber but I'm literally sitting at a place in Winnipeg and it won't recognize, then my hime address what I have to put in won't recognize. No wonder Uber took over your jobs , if there was an option for less than zero you would get it

I wish I could give them zero, these people don’t value your time cancel trips without any updates. I complained to the supervisor named Miles Instead of listening to me he started talking to me about my responsibility for showing up. This is so much disrespectful.

Called for a taxi to Victoria inn at door B at the back of the building and they wouldn't send a cab. Waited 10 minutes for them to tell me no.So I called Duffy instead and they were happy to send a cab to that door. Not sure why that's so hard. Ridiculous

Grabbed a taxi at the Winnipeg Airport the guy ripped me off for a 47 minute ride to downtown while everyone else on my flight took thirty. Crooks. Take an Uber these thieves can't help destroy themselves. Cab was filthy, ac barely worked what a disgrace.

Horrible service. Waited an hour and a half, called them twice and ordered on their app. Ended up asking for help on facebook because they left me stranded. Thank God for good friends to save the day! Have used them in the past but will never use again.

Do NOT recommend. Knowingly double charged us as he said payment didn’t go through and wouldn’t let us girls leave. Tried to ask to speak/call a manager but he said they were closed and continued to double charge us anyways. Do NOT recommend!!!

Asked for a cab at 0800 on a Tuesday, call at 0810 after cab is still not there, and told only a minute away. 0820 rolls around and cab finally shows up to not even come to the front of the lobby, would reccomnd any other service in the area

My fiance took a cab with her heath worker from HSC to Riverview health center. The cab driver didn't want to get the wheelchair out of the trunk. When he finally did he threw it on the ground. I would not use any taxi service in Winnipeg.

Every single time a get a cab with you guys your drivers take the furthest possible way. They'll take the right path then halfway shoot off in a complete opposite direction then use the gps as an excuse. No wonder Uber is killing you guys.

Always horrible experience. Stopping using them years ago in favor of Uber and other services that allow you to leave driver specific reviews. Had several cars not show up when pre-ordered. Also have almost been hit in traffic by too many

They are the worst, rude at the headquarters and in person. Demanding as well as sexiest experiences. Have been using Uber for 6 mths now and will NEVER or back to taxing. I hope they go out of business in re of their business practices.

Very fast service, also very clean cars. Took a cab from the Airport and compared to Uber and other ride-sharing companies price was way better. Driver was also very nice and respectful, helped me with my luggage as well.

Drivers can accept your ride via the app, just to cancel when they're less than a block away with no recourse or compensation for the wasted time. Do yourself a favour and take an Uber.

Waited for over an hour for a cab at a major hotel. Middle of the day. Missed out on on purchased tickets because of this. Rent a car in Winnipeg. Cabs are unreliable.

If you can get past the language barrier the service isn't that bad other than the occasional detours the odd driver will take you through to increase the fair.

Just watched the guy of Fleet 041 License Plate KSL 720 charge me extra by changing his statistics on his machine. I really thought this was a better company.
