Welcome to the most miserable place outside of Sudan. If Downtown is the A-Hole of Los Angeles (which it IS), then this USPS branch is its biggest hemorrhoid. Ditto about the senior female postal worker behind the counter. She is an absolutely horrible woman who hates her job. Having stood in line for hours there watching her interact with (berate) people, I can safely tell you that she is definitely racist. I know a lot of Hispanic and Caucasian people who'd love to have your job M'am... So much for EOE. = : P SENDER BEWARE: I have sent certified mail with money orders from there that was opened and plundered (by who else?). Complaining to supervisors (even with THEIR stamped paperwork in hand) is pointless. USPS is now a verified criminal institution (it's happening all over the country). MAIL DELIVERED AT 5PM: Also for those poor souls trying to run a business in this poophole called DTLA: Be advised that these USPS clowns deliver your business mail AFTER 4:30pm (even though they are next door) thereby effectively killing a full 24 work hour period for many small businesses. I say terminate the USPS with prejudice. Crappy employees combined with the advent of Email has killed it anyway and besides, FedEx eats USPS for breakfast.

I wonder if this place is stealing packages... I bought some clothes and it was shipped US postal. It arrived here July 5. It's July 9 and the package has still not been delivered. On top of that I had another packaged was supposed to be delivered 2 weeks ago that they decided they didn't want to deliver. When I double checked where the package was and called this post office they said it was "here, you have to pick it up". They didn't even NOTIFY me in any way or form I had to come pick it up and for whatever reason they aren't delivering it like I paid for. 1 star for: Failing to deliver packages (how does a post office fail to do this???) Failing to communicate that the package needs to be picked up If you come here for convenience I would skip and pay the extra to use UPS or FedEx. Even if you hate them, you'll end up hating this place more.

Dropped off some 2-day priority packages. When I asked for a receipt I was told that they don't do that at this location except for Priority Express Mail since it was a high volume USPS and also since there was a line behind me (a line consisting of 2 people). The reasoning seemed a little bizzare and right as I was about to walk away without a receipt the lady behind the counter decided she would make an exception for me this one time. Her kindness was much appreciated.

Visited this P.O. again. Received Outstanding Excellent customer service AGAIN from representative Sir LUCAS. Last time waited less than a minute in line but this time about 3 -5 minutes to be served. Sir Lucas finished multi transactions quickly again in record time of in and out. Done very efficiently and with smiles. Didn't need to skip my lunch. What a hidden gem location although Not very visible unless know where to look. Thank you for the great service!!!

Down town- s spring street postal office Awful place. When you enter it is like you’re in a horror movie. The lady at the counter is an uncultivated person. Rude and unreal. If she was just cold but determined to do her job everything would be OK, but no she is there to make you feel awful and awkward. And we are talking about USPS in downtown Los Angeles. Everything was like it was from another planet, so far from West Hollywood or even Hollywood.

GREAT! I called to the office and nobody answered.... They have a bad service every time I go they are in a bad mood, sleeping or just looking at their nails! It has been 1 month since they delivered a package to one of my customers and they STILL HAVE NOT SEND ME BACK THE COD!! that is some BS.... I went all they said was: call your customer because we didn't received anything. When I have proves that my customer gave them the COD.

Every once in a while I come back here to remind myself why I don't come here & take my business else where! They have the worst customer service, their employees are rude & flat out ignorant! I have seen people get in arguments with the employees & I my self have gotten into a tiff or tow over the last 7yrs. Please save us all from this hell hole & shut it down.

This post office is so nice because they're always helpful. I live in south LA but i love to come here because the post office near to my house, you have a bad customer service. Theres this guy, Lucas, always smiling and helpful. I sent it many packages to Canada and no problem with this post office. i recommend this place. Thank you for good working.

Everyone here is always so happy and pleasant, well actually all the ladies that work here i should say and the nice Asian guy who has been working there a long time now. Don't really care for that younger new guy now, but apart from him, overall nice employees who are always so helpful and patient.

After reading these reviews I had my guard up. But my experience was contrary to my expectations. The woman at the window was professional and courteous and I was able to ship off my Zombies boxed set for about 90% less than FedEx would have charged. Thank goodness for the USPS.

This is the absolute worst post office I've ever been to. The Asian lady at the far left window cheated me 2 BOOKS of stamps and when I went back to complain she threw a fit and the manager refused to listen. There are some awful people in this world. It's a disgrace

I've always had a good experience, maybe the 1st time i went in i felt a little rushed but i was also a little soft back then & every other time has been great + I see how many stupid people they have to deal with & I'm never even in there very long.

I've been calling this particular post office for over 2 hours during their posted regular business hours. No once was the phone answered. The USPS customer service is complete trash, no wonder they are loosing money and have a bad reputation..

The Guy with the name Lucas.....I think He's the only person working there , great customer service by Him......... the other windows are open but I think they're chilling drinking their coffee...or sleeping....... .......... …

They were scheduled to be opened today, but I went there and saw that they were closed. There was a sign on the door at 4:30p.m., stating that their office was closed for the day. What is this? I am NOT satisfied!

There is only one employee and to make small money order I have waited 57 minute on line. It’s too much painful and waste of time. Time is important :) very worst service :( better to close the location rather than to do this.

THIS OFFICE IS CLOSED. They have been closed for a month, with my package stuck in there. Had to file for a lost mail. They promised to go in in sent it out for me, but they never did. Package never left the office.

Pathetic service. I am not sure why they have a phone number at this office since they NEVER pick up. And good luck having them show up at pre-scheduled appointments. Goes to show how good public services function -

Sent out a package with the correct P.O. Box address and number it was scanned insufficient address said it would be returned back to me (sender) never got returned and they can’t locate the package.

I believe no one wants to come to work because there are four windows only have one open. There is a really long line. There is only Michael Lam at the window dealing with all people professionally

Black Lady that works there is unprofessional, rude. Unhelpful, gives 0 instructions and will make fun of you to the crowd waiting behind you if you don’t know how to mail an envelope or a box.

They were supposed to be closed for lunch between 1:30 to 2:10 but there’s no one here until 2:40. It’s fine to take an hour, all I ask is that the times are reported correctly.

This people is so rude, employees might need more salary cuz they treat people veryyyy veryyyy bad…. The service is not free, so nobody deserve be attended like they do.

They always close at least 30 to 15 minutes before closing time. And always some issue with their system going down and closing. The workers are rude and lazy.

All working there act impolite and agressive. I am not sure USPS care about it otherwise it will give them training. USPS do you hear?

Staff is super helpful and they sell envelopes in the place in case you need, I like to go this office a lot amazing costumer service

Usually one customer service person, always dirty, looks rundown even when clean, homeless loitering, most employees dont smile.

The employees are very rude I was told we close when we want to that was after they closed 15 minutes early the day before

Really Mr mailman? No common sense whatsoever. Blocking the whole crosswalk and wheel chair access @ 5th St and San Pedro.

This is the worst post office. The service is super slow, be prepared to wait half an hour and it is filthy smelly.
