Made a passport appointment and submitted my application through here for my son back in July. DON’T GO HERE AND SAFE YOURSELF THE HEADACHE AND WASTED TIME AND MONEY! Trust me. • Service is SLOOOOOW, the agent was moving at a snails pace I kid you not • My application went MISSING! No updates on gov website, and the agents can’t do anything after the fact, they have no way of tracking after “mailed” • USPS lost my sons original (full) birth certificate At the end of the day, I HAD TO PAY for a new birth certificate for my son, lost money cause I paid to expedite process and 2 day shipping. HAD TO PAY for a money order inquiry to get MY money back. I had to make an appointment 2 WEEKS (!!!!) before my trip with the passport agency downtown, thankfully (and I was lucky) I got an appointment 2 DAYS (!!!!) before our flight. USPS messed up! Made the whole process mad stressful and costly because of their lack of care. Just go to the passport agency if you can, they are much faster, secure and YOU WILL get your passport. Giving one ⭐️ because I went there to check on my application and a young guy was really genuine and kind but the actual guy who processed the application back in July needs to go, seriously moves like a sloth I thought I was in some virtual reality and someone pressed the slow motion button

On multiple occasions, the staff claims to be unable to deliver packages when NO attempt has been made to use the intercom to reach the resident to alert us that there is a package in the first place. This happens during routine mail delivery days and weekends. I am home right now on a Sunday morning and was just notified via email from Amazon (as I sit on my bed) that a package couldn’t be delivered. No call on the intercom came through at all. There are package boxes underneath our regular boxes that aren’t used for larger parcels. Also, there is an electronic package locker with very clear instructions that is used very sporadically if ever by the USPS. There just seems to be a lacking commitment on the part of some carriers to do the job. Lastly, the post office itself has an inadequate volume of staff and inflexible hours. I, like a lot of people work out side of the home, the same hours so it makes it a challenge to get there before closing. Even, when I have a sporadic day off, it doesn’t easily line up with the knowledge that there is an ‘undelivered’ package for pick up. There is poor communication generally around undelivered packages, no Sunday hours, no extended hours on any week day and website requests to reschedule delivery don’t seem to work so far.

This place lack leadership.. every single time I walk in the door .. there is a long line of people waiting to receive packages.. and I hear one complain consistently .. The customer say they were at home and did nt hear a door bell and just got the pick - up slip.. 1. I work from home 3 days a week.. I never hear my door bell either and I get these collect package slips .. ( never happens with UPS or FEDex) 2. after you get to the counter.. the staff takes extremely long to track or find the package .. ( I suspect the delay is due to disorganisation of the storage space - the employees at the counter , must be loosing their cool becoz it takes so much effort to find the package .. the customers are angry becoz 1. they were just delivered slips and asked to collect their mail 2. when they show up .. the line are long and frustrating ) that leads to them being rude and the staff at counter again being defensive and return the rudeness .. and the cycle continues.. I have tried to be patient and be nice to staff at counter and they reply in kind .. I can understand it can be frustrating to work in environment that breeds so much negativity and might lead to low moral .i undersatnd them.. That why I feel this is the failure of leadership and the top management here .

I live in the area. I can say this place is one of the worst mail rooms I’ve ever been in. Estimated time waiting per person to be attended,.....5min, sometimes more or less but usually 5min. Every person feels like waiting for a hot pocket to heat up. If you’ve ever seen a movie where we’ll have a worker needing to help a client and the worker obviously ignores or chews her gum loud, or answers your question and verbally shoves you away for the next customer as if trying not to allow another question. That’s sort of the personalities you’ll find here. I don’t lie I experience this every package that passes by here. I give the delivery drivers specific instructions just so I can avoid coming here as much as possible. May I also state they always seem understaffed. Booths are empty and the same booth clerks have to retrieve package nobody is a packager in the back, it’s usually two elderly or middle aged ladies that have faces like you bumped the car bumper and spilled their coffee that morning. And when they walk to get your package,..... oooohhh my lord you might as well assume it’s a birthday gift or Christmas present cuz that’s when you’re gonna get it.

The worst post office is this one right here im convinced that it don’t matter how many complaints we file or how many negative reviews we leave nothing is going to change. Every time i go come here i spend at least 40 minutes because of how slow they are I’ve tried getting there early when they open and still have to wait a long time to het service they say the windows open at 9:00am but they wont really start service until after 9:15am. And you need a stamp or money order you must wait because they have a system that seems to be from 1998 that needs 30 minutes to load so people that are their to pick up a package will skip you because thats all they can do. I don’t understand why if they know their system is take so long to load why wouldn’t they start it 30 mins or a hour before they open?. Another thing Is they have 5 windows but only 2 employees working. Why? When you know how busy it is why only 2 employees at the windows when you have 5 windows and lines outside if the door?.

My fustration with usps is beyond me but more specifically this location.They have “supervisors” that would reach out to you if a complaint was made but they NEVER resolve the issue. I work a 9-5 like any other person unfortunately, I get the post office runs the same. But when a notice is left twice due to me not being home but leaving clear DIRECTIONS on my door and on the “redelivery” slip via online is beyond unacceptable when it isn’t taken into account. They have stated my package would be left at this location after a certain date and time. Coming after the date that is clearly written on my slip, my package is now “still on the truck” after leaving work early in order to make this post office. I am absolutely disgusted at the lack of efficiency and I really don’t understand how this place is still open with all these negative reviews and complaints.

Seriously, I don't know what's wrong with you people. I had a beyond fantastic experience from the lovely staff that worked at this post office. I work in TV and Film and I had to mail out over 300 gifts for donating to our Kickstarter fund in two days and the lovely ladies at this location (specifically Frederica) were more than happy to help. They literally shut down a window to help make sure the packages went out in time. It took about 10 hours between the two days that I was there and they were never less than wonderful towards me. Honestly, it is all about how you act, which should be a lesson that you carry on from child hood. None of the wonderful folks that work there have "nasty attitudes" or are "incompetent". The chances are you were just being a jerk and they didn't take kindly to it. I highly recommend this branch to anyone in the area.

My husband and I made an appointment for our daughter’s passport at 10:45am. We arrived at the location at 10am. When they called us on window #2 the guy stated that the line was too long and because we are summiting a passport application to just seat down and wait. Its already 10:50am and we still waiting. When I ask how long do we have to wait, because my husband needs to go to work and thats why we made the appointment in the morning, he stated theres people waiting on the line. So as long as there people on the line WE have to wait. It makes no sense to make an appointment that states to be here 15mins earlier if you have to wait an hour or more. If you have a list of all the passports appointments for the day, you should know how many windows you should have open and at what times. Horrible customer service.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Rude, nasty, impatient, unfriendly, staff. The poor elderly man next to me was YELLED at by the woman working behind the counter. He was asking a very simple question (he needed mailing supplies) and she SCREAMED at him that they were "out there" (in the office atrium). He was trying to explain over her shouting that everything was out of stock (as it always is when you go into this post office). The woman shut him very quickly with her horrible, rude, attitude and finally gave him what he needed. She complained to me that I was using the last of her "courtesy tape". I told her that this was a post office! people buy boxes at the post office and need them taped! She was so rude, curt, and short with me. Horrible post office and horrible people working here. Never going back.

So basically I went to the post office with a friend ...smoking a cigarette out from the postal box I mistakenly misplaced my clutch on top the box and went inside ...finally waiting on line to see a clerk and I literally thought oh wow I forgot my clutch outside ...called the police because I new for sure it was there and stolen from a customer....now the cops get there asking to see cameras and I never got the chance to see it because when cops asked they refused to show us stating that “the manager was on a meeting” and we will have to come back the following Monday ...the fact that I wasn’t able to see the footage of my stolen property was the blow ...bad service at this spot never this postal service u will ever want to keep ..ratchet place ever in Harlem I swear ....

This post office has been horrible for yrs. Ms. Larma, Michelle, and Ms. Perryman were absolutely no help. I've been looking for my package for a week which keeps saying delayed. The lady on my route which her name is Judy has been out of work for just as long as my package has been missing. So yea i believe it was stolen. I called they constantly said we'll call me if we find it. I called 3hrs later spoke with Michelle she told me i didn't give her enough time i said it was 3hr she told me well i can't find it file it lost and hung up on me. I told Ms. Larma the supervisor and she sound like she could care less. Ms. Perryman seem like she didn't want to get involved or help. I can't stand this place they need new staff and better training.

THE WORST POST OFFICE IN THE WORLD..ONLY 2 TELLERS EVERY TIME I GO...THE LINE BE OUT OF THE DOOR...I WITNESSED THE POSTAL WORKER POSTING POST IT STAMPS ON 36 MAILBOXES AND SAID HE HAD NO ACCESS TO ANY OF THOSE APARTMENTS IN WHICH ONE WAS MINES AND HE NEVER ATTEMPTED TO GET ON THE ELEVATOR TO MAKE ANY OF THE DELIVERIES...I STAYED HOME ALL YESTERDAY FOR ANOTHER PACKAGE I WAS WAITING FOR...AND I STILL HAVEN’T RECEIVED IT...I CHECK MY EMAIL AND IT SAID ATTEMPTED DELIVERY NO ONE WAS HOME...THE LIES SND LACK OF GOOD CUSTOMER SEEVICE NEED TO STOP...THEY EVEN HAVE SENIOR CITIZENS WAITING ON THEIR LONG LINES TO PICK UP PACKAGES THEY NEVER DELIVERED...THE FEDERAL GOVERNMENT NEED TO STEP IN AND CORRECT THIS HORRIBLE POST OFFICE SERVICE IMMEDIATELY!!!!

This place is the worst post office I've been to and I've been to the main post office for tax season on the last day. They have nothing available for you to use. No pens, no postage supplies like delivery confirmation receipts, no envelopes for you to ship out things in. God forbid you have to get a postage label and they have to look for one. They open at 8am but apparently the clerks don't start until 9. What kind of trash is that, it should be clearly notated on their website or on the door of the post office. These people get way to comfortable in these position you don't like what you do move the fcuk on! I'd rather go out my way to a post office a mile away then to deal with these people again.

It's definitely not worth paying for 2 day delivery. The majority of the time, the post man/woman doesn't even knock at your door despite being home all day long. I pay for Prime through Amazon and dealing with this post office, its a waste of money. I have sat at home from morning to night, on my day off, waiting for packages that don't arrive, meanwhile I'll receive a notice through Amazon saying that a delivery was attempted at 9:02pm. Whoever is responsible for the door to door deliveries needs to be replaced. Phone service is ok, but this post office needs to seriously evaluate whether it should stay open or not. The delivery service is a failure!!!!!!!!!

This location always has poor customer service. The tellers are all intentionally slow and you will never find more than two window open at a time. At least 50% of all packages are NOT delivered, the carrier leaves a slip stating I was not at home. When requesting that they redeliver the package there is no telling when it will arrive. No one ever answers the phone, what's the point of posting the number. I have made numerous complaints to the supervisor, but to no avail everyone has a nonchalant attitude towards doing a job that they are hired and protected by a union to do I might add. Very frustrating!!! Wish I could change post offices.

My experience with letter carrier,Luna, evette, Mike, Shirley, tabi, ramo, springs, tolson awesome carriers, they have help me so much ,I would give the each triple stars I wish them Easter Sunday blessings, these carriers have done dedicated service of hard work no one knows it better,than these seniors carriers of years of service to the public their customers,, all customers should show appreciation to all these USPS carriers, and around the world give them what is going to them, most customers r angry haters to their own life's we r all humans have to help each other,there is a line,expect to b top in a second, happy to u all

NO STARS this is the worst postal service in the entire United States, I had a package delivered to my friend I went to her house sat with her all day and the next morning received an email from the seller claiming the package delivery was "attempted could not leave in an unsecure place" and "a notice was left"! NOT no one rang the bell/knocked on the door or left a notice if not for the seller notifying me this package would go into limbo. I then went to pick the item up and spent 1 hour with the incompetent people waiting/looking for the parcel. I am beyond livid and this is not my first experience with this branch.

THE WORST USPS CENTER IN THE WHOLE CITY! Customer service is awful, the workers are extremely rude, whoever delivers large packages doesn’t deliver them and constantly states “attempted delivery” because they don’t want to do their job. I’ve been home for two days all day waiting for my package just for them to not even try to deliver them. Even then, they’re supposed to leave a slip and they don’t even do that. The only decent person there is the woman who answers the phone. Also, the person who delivers packages said they left my package inside of my mailbox and it wasn’t there. All I can assume is they stole it.

There really should be an option to leave 0 stars! This PO doesn't even deserve 1 star! The clerks are rude/nasty & work as SLOW as they possibly can. If you go there, be prepared to wait in a very LONG line, for over an hour! We are entering our 4th week of no mail delivery because the USPS lock on our mail panel is broken & no one will acknowledge and/or fix it! The clerks won't allow you to talk to the Supervisor or Postmaster, they just tell you there is no supervisor... what? Calling does no good, because it rings for about 2 minutes then someone picks it up and hangs it up. Avoid this PO if you can!

Technically no stars. Same rude workers, and now new lazy workers. For the last couple of yrs we have a problem getting our mail. Petty complaints from garbage to flies to water bugs. If you don't want the job give it to me. Im ready to change my career from taking care of elderly patients in nursing homes to delivering mail. Stop play with people's mail. Its too much back and fourth. This post office give people problem to pick up their mail or delivering the mail. Old folks don't have to walk to the post office to get their mail, it supposed be delivered to them. Stop hiring these young lazy people

These are the laziest mail service place, they don't know how to ring the doorbell and anything they deliver they leave out at an unsecured location which ends up being stolen. I've had 12 items stolen because of these lazy mail couriers fault. And they complain they are not making money. A mail courier should be tough to know how to ring a doorbell at the place. What a bunch of useless tools this place employes I guess during hiring process if you are lazy you qualify to work at this place. This place should be shut down and everyone at this place fired including the managers and supervisors!!!

I rate it 2 stars only for the people that I've come in contact with , they have been patient, well-mannered and have provided excellent customer service the times I've been there. The actual rating for the post office would be 0 stars. Everything I've read here is true. I've spent time at home when I've had todo other things just waisting my time sitting around to then get an alert about delivery attempted... seriously? It has happened numerous times and finally decided to join the list of really unsatisfied customers so that maybe just maybe we can bring upon se very needed changes.

This post office is the worse one the people that work there have bad attitude and when you call they keep you on hold for about half hour to 45 minutes. it sucks when you are tracking a package from your device and it says out for delivery and when you come to see 3 hours later it says undeliverable to address it will get you pissed off meaning they never came to delivery and this didn't just happened one time this happened multiple times to me to the same address I even went there to talk to a supervisor and supervisor didn't even do anything at all about the situation..

I have been on this post for at least, thirty minutes. Now I’m the sixth person in line. They need more posters employees working, to make servers to make servers move more quickly! They need more stuff work at this post office to make business move by increasing more stuff to work as tallers more stuff and decrease the time waiting on lines to help the costumers who been waiting on for 30 minutes. Need to increase more post office workers, because the volume of usually be at least twenty people waiting on lines for at least thirty minutes, that too long to wait!!!!

This station has denied me mail service deliberately since June 2019 which is against the USPS Universal Service Obligation and they deliberately ignore any resolution. Constitution betrays us when the workers get paid regardless and are willing to behave this way. They’ve also ignored 2 changes of address so I’m just you know , boned , and they enjoy this behavior. HOWEVER: President Biden says no more discrimination for Blacks at an Federal level office, so EVERYONE redouble your efforts to ensure you get Mailing justice. Don’t settle for one iota less!

The FBI has to put some serious eye on this thieves because they are all associated. The drivers and supervisors! This is the 3rd time my item get "lost" more like STOLEN. Anything they know is easy to sell like tablets or jewelry WILL GET STOLEN they know by the package. I filled and inquiry I still waiting for the call. I called twice left me on hold for 15 and 10 minutes. Called a 3rd time they lady send me to the machine. Its not right, we have to report this postal office so they can do a deep investigation and track the thieves. I see you drivers.

The worst. Lines are always long, only 1 or 2 people behind the desk even in busy season and none of them have ever hurried or shown a sense of urgency or care. The 800 customer service number stinks- you’ll be on hold forever. Pretty sure a portion of my taxes goes towards the USPS, or at least the absurd & growing stamp costs...I’d have a better chance at getting through to a careless DMV agent on fire in the middle of a mosh pit of 1,000,000 blind & deaf people (no offense) than to absolutely anyone at the post office

Ive been here so many times over the past 10+ years. Welcome to Harlem. Expect this particular location to be understaffed, expect a long line (Bring a book to read) and be aware of the overwhelming amount of work that they have to do. Also, be very respectful, and Bring Proper ID. No you cannot pick up someone else’s mail, NOT ALLOWED. These workers deal with a lot and I am certain delivery mistakes are common. The place and people are underfunded but the staff are very HARD working people and deserve more respect and patience.

Hi again is me I just called the dammm post office at 9:19Am cus am worried about my packages. she put me on hold again had to hang up 9:41 cus off my minutes. Not happy with those people. I think they should be replaced for those who cares about their work and who cares to help others. That is my opinion to be replaced who cares about their future. Anyway I work for NYPD and I help my community alot cus I care for others. Please do something about it before its gets to the company department please.

0 Stars. The single worst experience I have ever had. The employees don't even bother to help. I had to go back twice to get a package that was in the building! They wouldn't even look. There are good people who need jobs. Everyone here should be fired immediately. For the attitude. For the lack of assistance. This is a sad statement on a government funded service that is failing because of this lack of anything called service. Interferring with people's mail is a federal offense. Start here.

Might just be the worst establishment in all of New York City. I suggest getting an address from UPS or FedEx and changing your current one or you’ll never receive your packages or mail. You also better bring snacks and a chair if you go to the branch, wait times are at minimum, an hour. The staff is actually very knowledgeable...she was able to tell me that if the carriers are too busy they won’t deliver and that it’s best for me to make a trip in. Save yourself some time and don’t use USPS.

This is the worst post office! Even the mail lady they are for ever putting the wrong mail in my box this is been going on for years. I have complaint to the supervisor and it goes in deaf ears. They don’t care!!! It’s not there mail. At times they would put a notice in my box saying they attempted to deliver my package but no one was home well that’s a lie because someone is always home!!!!! They are just liars and to lazy for me. We need better Workers in the post office and mail carriers.

The staff is pretty friendly. The line moves incredibly slowly, but this has been my post office for 3 years and it's rarely the staff's fault. Usually they only have 2 or 3 windows open, and there's always at least one confused elderly person moving slowly and counting every cent. Line is usually around 20 minute wait, 45 if it's wrapping around. Place is always clean and comfortable. Like I said, staff is friendly helpful, the customers are what slows things down.

Even after scheduling (and confirming) redelivery, they didn't bring my package. I had to schlep down to the office the next morning to pick it up. Rude. The only positive thing I'll say is that the clerk went out of her way to try and locate a missing package after she found my first one. She spent 15 min going back and forth and checking different places. She didn't find it (I now have an active case for this missing package) but she really, truly tried.

The people who've rated this above 1 star are delusional as one could ever be. The staff is incredibly unprofessional and if you show up when it opens, which clearly states 8AM, they'll make you wait till 9AM and joke about the people waiting in line. If a post office deserves to be wiped off the face of this earth, it's definitely this one. I would rather high school students run this post office than the miserable low-lives that plague this neighborhood.

Bad attitudes, Slow as hell, and on top of that my mail carrier just keep putting my mail in someone else's mailbox or other people mail from different building in my box I have Complaint to there supervisor more then twice and still it doesn't get any better! This post office is horrible the workers and mail carriers too ! They need to bring a new set of workers in that post office that is willing to work damn it! It's just ridiculous at that place!

I'm standing in the post office. I have been standing here since they unlocked the doors at 8am. Ask me how many times a human being has spoken to me or even offered a service. Ask me if there is even a human being standing at the desk in front to let customers know that they're available. But three different people have slowly sauntered by multiple times, completely ignoring my calls for help. And I hear plenty of voices and laughter in the back.

Often out of stamps (at a post office? really?) and forms, the lines are always long, surly service more often than not, quality of service depends on whether the employee likes you or not. No machines or self-service options - you will be trapped in their service hell. Carriers do not leave package slips and packages languish for weeks without notice. Carriers claim they tried to deliver, but have not - generally for heavy packages.

This is the Dirtiest and Nastiest Post office I've ever been in. Dirty black Carpet. Floors are not mopped. Floors are dirty first thing in the morning. Dirty ceilings and fans. With Openings in the ceiling. Old and discolored poles to form lines. No self service machines. This Post Office would never be acceptable downtown or the eastside. So Sad they don't respect our community enough to renevate. Disgusting and Embarrassing!!!

This post office is the worst place I've ever been to. It makes me want to move. I don't want to order anything online, or have anyone send me mail in fear I'll have to go back to this horrible place. The mail person in my building pretends to deliver packages and express delivery. It shows online that they came but I was home the whole time and they didn't come. I've never hated an establishment more than this post office.

If I could give this post office dump a ZERO I would. They are unprofessional and when I reschedule if a worker name Sam is not there i never get my redelivery. I usually have to call and reschedule twice again to finally get my packages. It's two good workers Sam and a lady that comes, I need her name because I believe without these two this place would be over packed with the failed redelivery.

The service at the window is fine, but their is never enough windows open. The A/C in the waiting room dont work, extremely hot. The front door has been broken for two years. But the worst thing about this P.O. location is that they have lost 9 packages in two years. Some body in this P.O. is a theif. pkgs are always marked online as delivered to my mailbox but they are never found.

This branch receives an A+ for lack of professionalism, discourtesy and poor morale. P.S. They never replenish the boxes or other items one might need. awful.. I'm standing in line as I type. Im disgusted. This is not how it's done downtown. But in our communities, this is what we get. Long confusing lines, most who work there do nothing to smooth out the confusion. Time to do the simplest thing is prolonged into at least 30 minutes. Understaffed most days and hours. THE MAIL CARRIER WILL NOT DELIVER OUR MAIL WHEN THERE IS GARBAGE NEAR THE DOOR TO THE MAILBOXES AND I WENT TO POSTOFFICE TO PICK UP MY MAIL AFTERWORK AND THEY HAVE THE NERVE TO TELL ME "Pick up hours are 11AM -1PM". Always a long line and there is no one enforcing social distancing procedures. I have had multiple packages be “in transit” for weeks on end only to never appear- it seems it is impossible to have anything redelivered when a slip is left. Once I got to the window they were very helpful, but the rest of the process is horrible.

Bad customer service, the staff does not communicate amongs each other, and will make you run around in circles for you package. If you are performing any shipping transaction, you better come here informed because they are no help.

The worst experience ever! I showed up at 8. 30 in the morning and they said that they open at 9am while in the office door it is clearly written 8am-5pm as business hours. I am a 4th generation Harlemite and I patronized this post office today on 156th Macombs Pl. for the first time. The post office on 157th and B’way closed. No notice was sent out to the community. I was pleased with this one. They sell greeting cards and gift cards and the service was quick. So far, so good.

The delivery personnel claims to have delivered items that you've waited all day for, and they haven't even knocked on your door or so much as rang the doorbell downstairs. When I call the reps all have nasty attitudes. Very unpleasant staff and even more depressing station. Avoid at ALL costs if possible.

Horrible customer service , most of the employees have bad attitudes when they talk to us customers. They do not follow direction well. I had a package which I scheduled for store pickup because I knew I wouldn't be home. They chose to deliver it anyway and now I have to wait two days to get my packages.

Came on a Saturday morning, there was a very long line of customers and only two toddlers who are very slow. There are no automatic drop off machines. The parcel post boxes Carousel was empty. No pens in sight at all. A parcel package that was supposed to receive at the post office was lost.

They are rude and have no sense of urgency here. If you ask for a supervisor or manager one is always "not available". Sometimes they say they visit your home for a delivery when they NEVER EVER came so you end up going to the post office telling a teller this they WILL give you attitude.

Neverending source of humor. The most impatient customers against a team of postal workers who couldn't care less. I've never had a real problem with their service, and relative to other post offices in Harlem, this one is fast, quiet and friendly. At least they aren't overtly hostile.

This is the only post office for almost a mile . So I can personally say it horribly run if you have to do any mailing go to any where else their only two people who work counters . For the most part they will sit and gossip for 20 minute intervals with a line of people waiting.

Literally the worst post office. Redeliveries never come when they are supposed to. Carriers are lazy, don't do their job correctly. Only 3 people I've encountered from that location are professional and do their jobs with a smile.

Scheduled a passport appointment for my daughter on a Friday, there wasn’t a long line today. Got there at 11:15 am and got out in 30 mins. Don’t be afraid to give your birth certificate, you’ll get it back in the mail.
