I wish that Google didn’t require that reviewers leave a rating because giving this postal location even ONE star is way too generous. I can confirm that the previous reviews about one particular employee at this location are valid. She does indeed yell when she interacts with customers no matter what the nature of the transaction is. Even if you’re just purchasing stamps. She yells during the ENTIRE conversation and never changes her tone nor her volume. I honestly can’t tell if it’s because she feels that it’s necessary because of the partition or that’s just the way that she talks, but no other clerk in that facility conducts themselves in such a horrible and unprofessional manner from what I’ve experienced or witnessed. As far as DELIVERY?Well, that depends on who the assigned carrier is for that day. If it’s your REGULAR mail carrier, then you normally don’t encounter any issues..at least I haven’t..but if your carrier is off on a particular day or week, you‘ll be lucky if you actually receive your mail and/or packages. I always use the tracking feature on the USPS website and have literally had carriers post updates where they lie about delivering a package that actually wasn’t delivered until the following day or that they couldn’t gain access to the property (The property has no fence or steel gates nor do we have pets). I understand if these employees are dissatisfied or even outright HATE their jobs, believe me...but that’s absolutely NO EXCUSE for taking it out on the customers. I honestly don’t want to see anyone to lose their job, but this particular location DEFINITELY needs to be under new management.

If I could leave zero stars I would. I can't begin to report the number of times that carriers from the SAINT ALBANS POST OFFICE ON LINDEN BOULEVARD have lost or dumped my packages. Whenever I track a package or packages and it says "out for delivery," these carriers might deliver 3 out of 4 packages. Whenever I call customer service to report the matter, I am given a case number and a rescheduled delivery date which is updated daily, but the package never, ever turns up. Sometimes the Post Office will call during the investigation to say that the carrier claimed to have delivered the package. ...to which address, I do not know. I now see a pattern. Whenever it is a first class package or one that is not insured, these unscrupulous carriers either dump the package or just can't be bothered to deliver it! There is really nobody to complain to as they "send the fool a little further" by giving you a case number and then the run around. The bottom line is, the package never gets delivered. I am so very disappointed in this service as I have lost so much money in packages that have gone undelivered even when they were out for delivery. SHAME ON YOU USPS! No wonder your are losing revenue and people like myself opt for more dependable carriers like FEDEX or UPS!

Well to begin I had a passport appointment at 10am. I get there minutes before 10am. I told the clerk why I am there. She told me that all appointments are cancel. The point is no one called to cancel the appointment!! Or send an email. When I asked the clerk, she said she doesn't know why no one didn't inform us. So I decided to call the post office and asked about the appointment. The person answered by the name Patricia, said that all appointments are canceled for the next two weeks. So I asked the million dollar question "Why I was not informed? " She started screaming that now she gets to work and now she is going to make calls to cancel appointments. Bare in mind that was now minutes past 10am. I had took time off from work to make this appointment. They know appointments are cancel for the next two weeks or so they keep saying. Because this have been going on since November 5 at least. My son had appointment for the same reason and they called him an hour before that it was cancel. So the bottom line is "This system does not value others' time!" Only theirs matter!!!!

Horrible, had 3 appointments for passports. Got there and was told no one was there. I said what do mean? Lady said she comes and goesand she leaves early. When asked why did it give me a choice of time. Then told me the system online doesn't link and update to their system. Funny thing as I was leaving on one of the tables in the hall was a paper with my 3 kids names , and 4 other appointments she must of walked out on. With our phone numbers and comments that they call to cancel witch they didn't. So forging paperwork also. So I head to another post of showed them the paper they asked me how I got that? I explained it was left out on hall table. Unacceptable! For all you need stay away from this location. Hollis post office was very helpful to reschedule our appointments for 2 days later at their location. On day of appointment they where there and happy to help. Maybe they should go teach St. ALBANS how to do the job correctly.

Ordered some stuff from Amazon on Monday that was supposed to come today (Thursday). I got home from school a little before 3 pm, and I waited HOURS for them to come and deliver my package. At 7 pm, I notice I got an email from the USPS at 6:55 pm claiming that I wasn't around when they tried to drop off the package and I need to reschedule. First of all, I was in the living room and by the front door for majority of the time, if I moved away, I made sure to stay in range so that I'd hear the doorbell if it was rung. They didn't ring my doorbell, and I didn't even see a truck pass by. They didn't even leave the slip that I supposedly needed for redelivery which is also proof that they attempted to drop it off. What're you lying for? Just give me my package. This isn't the first time they've pulled something like this either. Ridiculous.

This for me has been a better post office then the one on Merrick blvd. which is terrible. For all the people saying they lie about delivering packages. This is 100% true. it use to happens to me all the time. I had packages addressed to the UPS store and they said no one was there. the reason they do this is if there running late or didn't get the package processed when it says it will be delivered this specific day. it makes it look like they attempted. I was told this by a manager. Hey what dept doesn't want to look better than there doing. Its wrong as has led to allot of problems in my business. i have seen that it has not happened with me in a while, but i'm sure it will again. Anyway to me no post office is great but i rather go here then Merrick blvd post office

This post office needs some serious help, my neighbor is always receiving my mail, even though we have two Completely different address, and the letters addressed to me indicate my house address... this had been happening for years... I am so tired of it... feels like it’s only getting worse... I wonder if the employee there care about the community members enough to ensure we get the correct mail to our homes... also I’ve been finding letters in my mail box that are address to other homes in my neighborhood. This post office really deserves a a half star, but I’ll give one star since I don’t have a half star option.... I also notice that post office suck mostly in black/minority communities...

Went to the post office to pick up my package only to be yelled at saying a package was delivered to my house and I'm supposed to bring it back.. I've never been so humiliated in my entire life.. I'm a hard working citizen of this country.. I have no need to take someone else's package.. I was told I now have to pick up my packages at the post office they will no longer be delivering.. I explained to this lady I work 6 days a week.. I'm never home.. I have 4 small children they wouldn't have taken any package.. they all go to summer camp.. I recently bough this home less than a year ago.. it's on the front..the yard is not fenced.. this is wors post office.. terrible terrible experience..

Now I've came to this location in the middle of October I was informed by the Filipino lady that there is no Box company presently open I need to come back after November 10th now today is November 20th cayman went to the tele miss Brenda miss Brander then inform me that miss Avalon the supervisor is on a telecom call and I would need to wait one hour as a customer who's paying my taxes for that Post Office location that never put your mail in your mailbox have you a male strolling throw your mail and damage it and hold no accountability now I'm coming to buy a Box to store my mil's this way I don't have to deal with that anymore going forward this has to be 1 of if not the

The WORST post office to serve the community. Almost everything they do is poorly done. I feel bad for the very few workers that are present at the location. Lost mails, you report online and in person and no one gets back to you either way. You set appointments for service and they call you to cancel two hours before the appointment on the day of the appointment, your mails get delivered to your neighbors, you go inside for service, the line is so long and you have one person working at the window, staff at the location are so rude. My Gosh! This location is just HORRIBLE!

On 4/19/2021, I visited this location and it was surprising the hospitality I received. I walked in with 2 packages and a bag with other items to be mailed. An employee approached me and offered me great assistance by combindind my 3 packages into one box which she had to kind of make to suit my items, which ended up costing me way less than I anticipated..so I wanted to put it out there. Also the clerk at the window Lynette was very helpful and polite. Keep up the good work.

3 1/2 Stars UPDATE: 11/09/2023 I'm a bit old school (Gen. X) and I use the post office weekly. I have three(3) children in college, and they say that every time they receive a package from home, it's like Christmas. I'd like to give a special Shout Out to one of my favorite Postal Workers, Shara(clerk 63), who's always helpful, friendly, and courteous. You get 5 stars, and the USPS gets a solid 4 stars overall. Thank you for your service, ma'am.

I can’t understand how my package said forwarded on the tracking app.. Also there’s no hospitality when you call them, first it took me 3 tries to ring before someone pick up and when the pick up they wanna be rude put you on hold , the phone hung up then I have to call back, when I call back she’s still rude then she hung up on me. MISS WILLIAMS if you don’t want to work stay home, your way of talking on the phone is very unprofessional.

i scheduled to have a package picked up from my residence, i waited all day and no one showed up forcing me to have to delay delivery for what was a business order, why are you offering a service you can’t fulfill? i have nerve damage so i couldn’t walk that day, if i could i would have just went myself, this location has been going down hill for a long time, a new face every few months, wasn’t always like that

The regular mail carrier for our area is very efficient she handles her work load of delivering her mails well . You can tell when she is off route there is a lot of other people's mail in my mailbox and some time you find mail on the street that has fallen and not picked up. If the address is near me i would take it there if not i place it post box in the area got to be more careful with the mail.

No one answers the phone. Rude, petulant workers and I used the term "workers" very lightly. Mail carriers misrepresent theirselves via electronic submissions. " Notice left no recipient available " , when no notice is left. "Pickup available " is then entered . There is virtually no way to inquire about the package in question. Just lousy and perfunctory . Absolutely no effort!

I hate to leave reviews based on race but the Asian lady that works here is so rude and disrespectful. You go to the window to ask a question she’s yelling at you. You ask to borrow a pen she’s charging you, ask for a label she’s charging you, like where’s the customer service. It’s early in the morning and your yelling and screaming at paying customers? Why?

This is one of the most inept postal offices. Packages are routinely lost or delivered to the wrong house. I receive other people's packages and mine are often just missing. I used to have a regular carrier who was wonderful but these new folks apparently cannot read address labels. Clearly they are not being trained and the post office doesn't seem to care.

1) I had to search google just to speak to an actual person. 2) When I asked if my letters were delivered yet because I didn’t see any though it was past 4 pm, the...worker...got an attitude and yelled ‘No one’s in the station. They have until 6 pm to deliver letters.’ Hire people who aren’t rude when being asked politely a simple question

This is one of the worst places for passport I have appointment at 1:30 I’m here 10 minutes prior I’m on line they she is going to lunch break about 1 hour after waiting a long she is coming on desk and she is take another customer who is after me and I ask her I’m first on line also my appointment time 1:30 she said I know what I’m doing

Ebay denied my refund bkuz the tracking number says it was delivered but my mailbox says otherwise.word of advice.esp people ordering jewelry.DONT. Several times I've expected deliveries and waited at my while tracking only to see a message saying " delivered" , your package was left at a "pick-up" location... See details!! I wish the companies that are depending on the Post Office to deliver their goods would find another source because they're going to lose business.

Status of package went from Out for Delivery to Available for Pickup in less than a day. I go next day and they say they can't find the package. Gave them my contact info and haven't heard back since. Filed several claims/complaints yet there's been no attempts to reach out to me. Next step is BBB complaint I guess.

April 26, 2021 I arrived at the st Albans station shortly after 12 noon and fount the post office closed with a number of people standing outside. There was a note on the door That states " the post office is closed from 12 - 2pm. No explanation. The community deserves to know why they have no service two hours.

They are all liars. They said delivery attempted at 714pm l was right at front door from 645pm to 735pm with my neighbors because ours kids are riding bike . They must be invisible or ghost that is why me and the rest of the neighbors didn't see whoever the liar that attempted to deliver the parcel.

They said a package was delivered to me Friday but I have not received it. I reached out to them and they solved the problem promtly. I got my package delivered today and they even called me to make sure the package was delivered. That's very good communication and great customer service, thank you

A consistent dumpster fire of bad service. I live 5 mins from this post office and I've pretty much given up on going there to ship packages. They are always understaffed, the line is always heading out the door. Its better to drive further to Linden or hidden post office in Elmont.

They never pick up their phone, my mail is always delivered late concentering I live up the block. They have lost one of my package. it cost me time and money to find out what happened if you believe anything believe this don't go theirUNLESS YOU HAVE to don't waste your time.

Despite the bad reviews, for me, it wasn’t a bad experience at all. They were really helpful and helped saved money by suggesting various box sizes and stuff like that. The crowd? Uhh... It wasn’t busy when I went. Quite speedy. I’d go back again and recommend.

No one answers the phone, They say they delivered an item in your mail box when the item is to big for your mail box. The item was never delivered. The mail delivery is terrible, terrible. The mail is not delivered every day. This post office is badly managed.

It’s amazing that I get my bills, but my pension checks don’t ever make it to my house. The bad thing is I get email where I can see what letters are coming that day. Y’all have to do better for your community! I wish there was a number to call to complain.

Literally all you have to do is deliver the package to the address on the route and if you can't, just leave it at a place in the post office so it can be retrieved. Idk how my entire package was lost recently. The lack of carelessness is beyond annoying.

Called 25x and then was greeted with an attitude. The US postal service and DMV are the two government entities that pay their employees to be bad at their job. I could never listen to a phone ring for 30 minutes without wanting to harm myself.

They will say they attempted to deliver a package. But never adequate it to the house. Putting in the system the receptacle is blocked. At 730 on a Saturday someone was at location to receive package. Driver never come to the house.

These people are careless I literally had to chase down carriers in the rain to figure out where my package was not even the carriers knew still waiting on my package no communication at all they act like their hands are tied

Don’t take any passport appointments with these guys, they cancel your appointment every time. Imagine waiting 3 weeks for a appointment and they cancels it SMH.

The postman finds it more convenient to write a notice and drop it in your mail box...than to take that time to ring your belly for you to collect your package.
