I arrived to the post office few minutes before they closed and the door was locked. When somebody comes, she tells me their closed and I told here I was there 3 minutes before they close, so the door should still be open at that time. When she moved slightly from the door I though she was letting me in, not seeing that somebody was coming out. I'm not mad at that, I'm mad with the fact that this b*tch just pushed me with all her might, not thinking that there are stairs right behind of me and that I could've fall. And later she dares to tell me that I shouldn't dare to do this and that she will call security on me. I was literally doing nothing and she wants to call security on me?!?! What kind of treatment is that?! I told her there was no need since I wasn't doing anything, and not even finishing she just cuts me off with have a good day, and slams the door in my face. This office should get better personal, and when hiring people know that they actually have a better attitude.

As the historical marker makes known, PO 11421 is an interesting building, especially indoors in the small public part. There you can see a timely mural by Ben Shawn (WPA,1940s). You are taking a chance of encountering an enormously long lines of people taking way more time to buy a stamp (no machines for that!) than heaven or hell should allow. Don't put mail in the US POST BOX in front of the building. Some theives were recently arrested for attempting mail theft right there. Having been a customer for many years, I can attest that all the employees dealing with the public are now all helpful and friendly. One lovely tall lady goes the extra mile and those of us who use this PO are lucky to have our business with her. No place to sit, rarely a functional pen. An increasingly irate line of customers waiting for the one or two tellers on duty. Sometimes fate smiles upon the fortunate person who walks in and has the house to himself. There is wheelchair accessibility .

First off. they purposely leave the phones off the hook so they wouldnt be bothered. thats why the line is always busy. Worst service/execution for any business in any industry. Packages are constantly being lost and I never get a notice when a delivery was attempted. Sometimes they dont even try to see if im home. I caught them many times by waiting for the truck myself outside and waiting by the truck for the mailman to come back to ask him why is tracking saying "addressee not home" and to take my package from him. I had a very important delivery one time and it said to pick it up from the office because i wasnt home at 1st attempt. Went to the office and it was not there. Worst delivery service available. This location will never answer their phones. Its like there are no regional managers in USPS keeping a lookout whether USPS offices in the area are doing a good job. This isnt the employees fault its managements for letting it happen.

I wanted to give O to them, they delivered my packages that's I supposed to sign for it,but I didn't sign for it because I wasn't home. The delivery man he did sign my package and leave behind the door,6 hours later I came home I checked my tracking number its said arrived but I don't see any packages. The next day morning I went to post office to ask for my packages,they said somebody sign for it go ask your neighbor. so I went back to my neighbor they said they didn't sign for it. 2 hours later the delivery man nock on my door he ask me did I get the packages I said No I didn't see my package where did you put it? Then he said over here behind the door. I ask him how come you put my package with out my signature. 2 packages loss value 1,000 dollars and some one stole it. He supposed to leave the note for me to go pick up at the post office I loss a thousand dollars in a day. And they can't do anything for me.

Use Fed Ex or UPS and Save Yourself the Headache, they never pick up phone and customer service is a joke. DMV has better service than this post office... sad but true...1 star because zero stars is not an option. Also if you use Amazon prime (2 day shipping) it's not uncommon for this post office to note it as delivered on site on the 2nd day even though they take additional days to actually deliver package. If this happens to you frequently; call Amazon and get another package sent out and inform them if they don't start using ups or fed ex instead, then you won't consider renewing your prime membership (for me that's the whole point) Since then 90% of deliveries are shipped via ups & Fed ex , only orders that would delivery on a Sunday are still sent out usps .. I would still prefer to wait 24 hrs to place order than have to deal with my local post office.

I ordered something a few days ago and it was supposed to be delivered to my house today. Instead, it was delivered to the post office for pick up. I called the company about it and the employees said it was USPS's responsibility. That's one. I went to the post office in the afternoon and asked about it. The employee there said she did not know why it occurred and that I can't pick up my package until tomorrow though it said I could today on the tracking info. She was still searching for my package so I left and came back later. When I came back, she said the lady who had the package had left early and I needed to come back tomorrow. I'm so confused as to why my package wasn't delivered to my house and why I can't pick up my package on the day it arrives. I'm very disappointed with this post office.

Old Review..2 months ago. This post office has lines for different Services as others post offices. The line for money orders should be in the one for packages. The reason is because line 1 is used for Customer service too. Sometimes it takes a long wait to purchase a money order,especially on a Saturday. If you are working. And use lunch time..that hour is spent on waiting. This is lone should take only customer's issues..and being secondary if other lines are busy for support. New review: I visited again after my last above review and today 3-31-2021 the Post office at this location and the service has been improved. Now they have more windows to serve consumers. Everyone is happy,not waiting long hours like before ,when they had only one window to serve different services. Good job post office.

I almost never leave reviews but I had to leave one for this awful place. They never pick up their phone so don't bother calling. I just hung up after waiting 40+ minutes. And when you go in person, it's about a 30 minute wait only to be "helped" by people who clearly don't want to help or don't like their job, or both. The managers aren't any better, they're rude and don't even attempt to resolve the issue. The mailman himself is a bozo because he's always leaving my mail at a different address even after I've personally told him not to do that. They need to fire everyone in that place and rehire people who know what they're doing and look (or at least act) like they like their job. You'd think after all these bad reviews that USPS would get the message and get rid of the staff at this location.

Every time I order something online they say they attempt to deliver it and no one is home. There is ALWAYS people home, the problem is that they don't want to bring it up to the 3rd floor. So they leave that little orange card that I am beginning to hate to go pick it up. Now I have to wait for my next day off to go on a 20 minutes line or more when it could have been delivered yesterday 07/01/17 when there was not one, not two but three people home. Is not the 1st time in the last 3 months I have been to the post office 3 times this will be my fourth time & I am out of my outfit for an event I have today. Now I have to wear whatever. Very poor service sometimes I pass on deals because I don't want to go through the hassle of spending half of my day off picking up my packages.

Worst experience ever! Went there for my sons first time passport and first they had a problem with my proof of identification which was totally valid. Then after not giving up and asking to speak to a manager they finally agreed that I was right. But things only went downhill from there they made me write the wrong information on the money orders so not only did I have to pay with my debit card but again I had to waste my time going to get a refund for the money orders. And now I received an email that the passport agency did not receive the second part of the application and when I look through my papers I find it there. So these people ripped out the second part and gave it back to me with all my other papers. How did I not suspect this!! Horrible service.

This place is disgusting. You go in to a line of people and literally. No exaggeration at all which is sad…. There might.. MIGHT be one person working while the rest of these workers are in the back laughing and talking. Everytime you step foot in this horrible place there’s always some kind of issue. They’re so slow. Get ready to be there for an hour just trying to drop off a pre paid package. It’s a joke in here. Then this morning I get there on my way to work… the post office is open and YET AGAIN no one is working they’re all in the back laughing and talking so loud. I knocked on the glass and they made fun of me and mocked me knocking. So unprofessional. Everyone in there needs to be replaced. What a joke this place is.

This is my favorite post office! I see other people's comments about customer service being slow or unprofessional, but I travel from Brooklyn (walk, bus and 2 trains away) to utilize this post office's services. I understand that things change over time and most customer would want the same service exuded 50 or even 5 years ago. I have been a customer for a few years and I appreciate this location. For being open for a mere 3.5 hours on Saturdays, their service is great! Try going to the location in Canarsie, Brooklyn on Flatlands Avenue and you'll get long lines, mis-delivered mail, stolen mail and NO ACCOUNTABILITY. So, at least, I haven't experienced anything less than stellar performance from Woodhaven's location.

hate this post office! There are times my area would go days with no mail! You can't waist your time calling the dam post office cause they never ever answer. Then if we do get mail, it's after 6pm. I've been waiting for package's and my packages goes to some one else's house. I was lucky one time a gentlemen came to my house and brought me 2 of my packages..I lost a lot of my packages but there is no help try calling no one answers the worst thing that happens to me is that I can't go to speak with them cause I just had a surgery on my spine trying to call asking for help no one answers this is my 4th day trying to reach for help with no luck please some one do something thank you

worst post office i've had experience with, I was supposed to received an item Thursday it was urgent so had i paid for one day shipping, Thursday came no package so I waited until friday never got a package. Had to call the seller they sent a replacement as soon as they could, they told be I was supposed to receive Sunday again didn't get it and both times they attempted delivery they left no notice so I didn't know wither they still had or they sent it back nothing at all. Tried calling the net day no one picked up. Such a pain just to find out what happened to my package especially since this was also a pretty urgent item I needed.

Extremely terrible service. I ordered something online and it was delivered by usps and once again they put the package inside of my mail box, this package was too big to be in the mailbox and as a result I had great difficulties retrieving it, I had to cut open the box in my mailbox. I'm sure the delivery person had difficulty putting it in my mailbox as a result of the size which should indicate that they shouldn't put it there. However they lacked the intelligence to stop and just ring the bell. I've met many of the delivery people sadly they all seem like they lack the knowledge to properly do their job.

The service it’s really bad at this post office they have two lines one for almost everything money orders stamps packages etc. And the other one it’s just for pay packages and drop offs. Which very few people go. It has at least 2 people taking care of the customers while the other line which have like 10 people line up is taking care by a single person and if there is any customers in the other line the cashiers don’t do anything to help the long line . No wonder why Trump want to make changes I hate that guy but this time I agree with him to change at least this postoffice for the better .

Worst post office ever. I am really hate it how Amazon uses them now. I never get my packages in two days. First I get told they attempted delivery but I wasn't home. I checked the time and I was home but they never rang the bell. Then they say I have to pick it up from the post office. I go there with the proof of this, wait on a crazy long line, only to be told it is out for delivery. So after wasting an hour and a half of my life, I leave, only to get it delivered the next day. This makes no sense whatsoever. So inefficient and a waste of every ones time and tax dollars

Worst post office I've ever been to. Went to apply for a passport on Saturday, but they only accept applications for the first 15 people that show up, and we were there half hour after the site opened. Tried the following Monday, and there was a piece of paper on the entrance door, stating they wouldn't do passports that week. Went the following Saturday before the place opened, and there was another piece of paper, stating they were short staffed and wouldn't process passports that day. To complicate matters, they never answer the phone. Lazy site, go somewhere else.

the delivery man is an absolute idiot. he attempted to deliver my package twice but never actually delivered the package. the tracking number says "No access to deliver location." I wrote a note on the door and told them to put the package with my store which is next door which literally has the same address. he attempted to deliver it the second day and i receive the same notice... "no access to deliver location." i needed this package urgently and am very disappointed in the delivery man's service and inability to successfully deliver a simple simple package

I give this Postal Office's Mail Carriers no stars. They are really unprofessional and they don't care about the job that they should be doing. I know tons of people who are willing to work and do the job correctly. I am sure that all or most of the USPS is loaded with these types of people. They are lazy. They take the rubber bands from the mail and throw on your steps, and most of the time they are on the phone while delivering mail. The list goes on, but they are not worth it. I think that I will be getting a dog to greet them next time.

Absolutely horrible experience!!!!! it started off with the very rude and insolent postal clerk "last name Chin" refusing to accept my priority mail box because it has more than one priority mail sicker. If though only one was filled out. I asked to speak to the post master a foul mouth woman comes out (Miss Reed) insist I get a new box and slams the door not listening to the situation. I've been here plenty of times, it’s always been good. First time dealing with these people. Should not be able to treat paying customers that way.

This is the worst nightmare of Postal Office!! They either steal or lose the packages. They marked them as delivered and they never arrived. The post office manager is never available and they never pick up the phone. I had called many times all day different time no one pick up. More than 20 days trying to find a package that they delivered someplace else, they never called back. The Authorities should investigate this is only one guy that delivered the packages and he loose them or delivered to another address!!

Worst post office I ever been to. Employes are very rude. Tried to apply for a passport and called several times during the week to make an appointment, but no one ever picks up. Tried to explain this to their employe Chamile, but she was very rude and totally dismissed me. They rather sit around on their fat ass doing absolutely nothing and make people Waite over an hour to process their passport. Meanwhile the place was empty. If you are applying for a passport defiantly go somewhere else.

Worst post office ever. I swear. I've been living in the area for around 3 years. The mail carriers are extremely lazy, the delivery/drivers hardly ever get out the truck. I've lost countless packages because instead of ringing doorbells they leave big boxes out in the open for anyone walking around to see. Every time I have to call the office because another package of mine is missing they never pick up. This place is horrible. Makes me want to move just to have a different office.

What is wrong with these people? This usps delivery person should be fired! On multiple occasions the delivery person has marked "delivery attempt" & "notice left" but doesn't even show up. Is he/she just hoarding the packages in their vehicle? Don't lie about the packages just say you weren't able to deliver! If I could give them negative stars I would. And they act like it's the medicaid office, I'm not asking for handouts! I just want my packages! This is your job!

Horrible service! Incompetent, lazy, unprofessional, mishandled, rude, slow, and they all deserve to be fire. My mail man delivers wrong packages, destroys my letters by shoving them into my mail box, never rings bell. Sometimes my letters end up at my neighbors address. I confronted him last time about the issue and gave me a stare as if he was going to punch me....He does this continously. Also on one occasion my mail went missing the day after it was deliver.

Worst post office experience in my 48 years on Earth I waited five weeks for my passport appointment in this post office when I got there today they told me and five other people the two passport agents called in sick today and the manager was supposed to fill in for them is nowhere to be found and his phone is off! You are better off going to a white post office My only regret is people have to read this and I am unable to tell them this to their faces

UPDATE: They actually lost a second package of mine that again was going somewhere local in Queens. I will never use this post office again and I highly recommend nobody does. Used to run pretty good about a year ago. Now they’re slower than ever. I’ve started going to other post offices because of this. They also lost one of my packages ‍♂️. It was only going to the next town Jamaica, and they sent it to Jersey and it’s still lost to this day.

The worst customer service, never answers the phones and no one is ever on the same page. The worst post office I've been too management sucks they're not ontop of anything from losing pacakges to passports. One person says you can walk in anytime before 3 mon-fri the next person turns you away when you do and says you have to make an appointment. Thank you all so.much for wasting peoples time from their busy work days. You truly are heros.

Waited for my package and when it came to the day it was supposed to be delivered they updated my tracking info saying it is ready to be picked up at 5:19pm BUT THE PLACE CLOSES AT 5 PM. I am frustrated not because they did not delivered but they had to wait til past the closing time to tell me that my package is able to picked up. They could've just said that they cant delivered it instead of making me wait the whole day for it.

Is there a regulation to regulate this Postal Office? Requested a pick up today, and received an email saying that the pick up package complete., except the package is still there! Last time, requested a package pick up, the email notification said due to the number of package did not match from the request, I had only one package at that time. What was wrong with these people? Did not get paid enough? Is this people a jokers?

Horrible, must be the worst station in Queens. If anyone but my normal carrier touches my packages, they get lost. Rich (my reg carrier) is the only one that tries and cares, if someone else attempts to deliver a package they never leave a notice & this station apparently doesn't pay attention when you use the online redelivery system. Call them- yeah right!!! if the line isn't busy they just don't bother picking up.

Absolutely worst service you can imagine. They can not deliver anything. Missing packages or if you pay extra money to have package arive early they will not deliver just leave the note they missed you when you are home waiting for it. How frustrating can it be? If I could I would give them negative 5 star rating. They will not carry anything upstairs unlike any other services like UPS or fedex.

A minus zero for this post office. Horrid, rude customer service lines are always out to the door due to the lack of service. Packages never arrive though they claim the dropped them off on the porch. They do not ring the bell for a package even on the weekends and later in the day when someone is home. They need to be closed down or hire people who actually want a job and want to work.

I would put 0 stars but they wont let me.... first they deliver my package to "a person". Who you ask? I have no clue, because no one here recieved a package. Then when i call them they ask me; how they can help? But i tell them this woman catches an additude says they are closed and to please call back on monday. Monday is here and now they dont answer the phone. Great service #sarcasm

If it were possible. I'd give these incompetent thieves -5 stars. They are always losing my packages. Letter mail they can deliver but packages they turn into complete idiots and liars. When you go to the post office you have to deal with nasty customer service and disgusting attitudes. Don't bother calling the 1-800 idiots # they are going to help, they are just as rude and stupid.

Employees never leave delivery notice but yet tracking always states they did or they attempted delivery when they do not... it is VERY inaccurate als receiving other people's mail weekly is frustrating for us all. Only about 2 employees that actually help for missed or lost packages at this post office. Newer employees are very careless and do not properly assist customers.

Worst service ever. I came here to drop off my prepaid package. 20+ people have waited on line. So I decided to knock on the door where usually they take prepaid packages. The guy opened the door and slammed right back on my face. I never had this experience before! Then I had to drive 10 minutes to the next Post office to do the same without any problem!

Update:12/2020 Terrible service. Went from being slow to genuinely unhelpful. Maximum two people working at a time, often sends people away to make a small change and then tell them to get back in line. Went late Friday afternoon and was a bit slow but the staff was helpful. I can imagine how this place could take a while during busier times.

If you are going to replace all the mailboxes with these new ones that can only fit one letter, at least have a bigger dropoff box installed inside the post office. Or at least keep one of the older mail box inside. Why should I waste time to wait on the queue to mail a prepaid package that is only slightly bigger than usual.

This is the worst of the worst, we are a level fourth world NOT third with this branch and there lazy employees, no slip no nothing and they had the nerve to claim that delivery was attempt but no one was home , where there was actually someone there. This branch should disappear and open a UPS instead of this lazy Bastard!

I went there this morning to pick up my package. When I got there I was told that the package went out for delivery. I walked 10 blocks to get there. The mail just came and no package for me. I tried getting a hold of customer service and wasn't able to get a hold of anyone. What bad service etc. It's realy frustrating.

This place is not helpful. They with hold the mail. Don’t deliver on time or leave any slips that package was missed. Multiple occasions i had to leave work to get my packages/mail. Mailman from here is disrespectful, initiating arguments yet we are the ones to blame. What happened to the “customer is always right”?!

I never leave reviews. Not only are they slow talk about a 30 minute wait plus only one teller avaliable. Only to get to her and tell me, "tape to seal your box is $3.75". Mind you my box was the size of a shoe box. I have had post offices give me tape in the past. Come on people. Elmhurst post office much better!

Always delivering mail crushed or damaged! Don't bother calling them they don't give af! They also have a habit of lying when it comes to "attempted" deliveries of packages instead of just saying they'll deliver the next day out right. The mailman is the only good thing about this poor excuse of a post office.

One of the worst post office. They take there own time. No one to even ask a quick question. Just to ask that we have to be in a long line. And then come back in the same line to post it. They should get some hard working young employees to this place. To mail something you at least need 2hrs of your time.

So far, I have found or been given four different phone numbers for this place, but I don’t know if any of them are correct, because nobody here seems to know how to answer a phone.

While I love my mailman and delivery person I can't say the same for the post office. I don't understand the 2 lines function at the office. It seems that line #1 is ALWAYS BUSY and out the door while line #2 is always empty. It took over 30 mins to drop off prepaid packages and get a receipt.

Went in to renew passport, only 1 employee can assist with 2 others standing around. Then passport employee helps customer who came in after myself in a different area and no one took over the passport queue which has grown to 5 people. Very dissatisfied with the customer service

Literally put up two big signs to leave my mail in the slot.Every time they deliver it says no access. I have never ever received a package at my house, I always have to go to the post office to pick it up .The delivery aspect of this post office needs WORK, tremendous work .

I went today to mail my envelope that had to be delivered in a timely fashion. I asked the clerk what way I should mail my paperwork and she helped me and was very kind courteous and helpful. I came in on Wednesday at 3:30pm. It was a smooth process. Was out in 15 minutes.

This is the closest USPS to me, this is probably the worst run one I’ve ever seen. 1 employee to services everyone who needs to buy mailing services. 30-45 min wait time to send out 1 thing is just unacceptable, especially when you have to park at the meter.

Great post office! The lines are long but most of the workers there are dedicated workers. I had called about a lost package and they called back twice to make sure that I received it. Great customer service and very pleasant to work with.

Actually I came exactly 9:00 AM on this USPS. Now it’s already 9:05 AM no counter has opened so far. However, USPS open timing is at 9:00 AM as advertised. This shows that USPS workers are lazy and neglect their open time. USPS wake up !!

The reason I have them 2 stars and not 1 is only because sometimes they are fast but on the hours where they are the busiest, they only have 2 people working. 1 for passports and another for regular packages. They need more people.

It's always been slow but it's gotten more horrendous with the Corona. They've created 2 lines but no one reinforces it and a lot of people don't follow it. Trying to drop off prepaid packages shouldn't be this hard :(

Two item sent from this location arrived at there location on two different sides of the U.S empty, and one of the items took 16 days to go four states. But I didn't insure the items so I can't file a case online.

this place is really unhelpful i tried to make my passport in this place two time and they give you excuses to not do it. really unprofessional staff there don’t go to this past office you will waste your time.

This post office sucks. My mail carrier is a bumbling idiot. 50% of anything that comes in a box or large envelope never makes it to my house. I am ready to accuse my idiot mail carrier of stealing my things.

My package came from Carlifonia : days now and today it is still there I went today to collect the post mistress told me today it will be delivered I’m now checking her it is still at that post office

I would leave zero stars if I could. I have had days of no mail service and MANY packages delivered late, ONLY AFTER CALLING TO FIND OUT WHERE THEY ARE. Woodhaven deserves so much better than this.

There’s no machine for postage, not is there any way to drop off packages with printed labels. You have to wait in line forever even to pick up packages.
