Out of nowhere(Saturday -at about 12)... manager says to people online (the line is to the door)....post worker(the only one working) is taking a 15 minute break. Mind you, we had already been on line for 15 minutes! When I said a complaint should be made to central office because they need more staff, the manager became smug and indignant. He stated we were lucky they were even open for us. That his workers were coming from the Bronx, and did I look at the weather conditions? Lol, it was raining...but last I heard no blizzard or hurricane was coming. Total disrespect for customers...is this what the postal service has come to? Shameful. Don't go here unless you have a lot of time on your hands, and want to be treated as though you are blessed to even have the ability to wait on their line.

I know many people complain about the post office being slow and whatnot. But there are many customers who have no idea what they want, or asking many questions while other people wait, or even one customer with a bunch of unstamped envelopes and asking the clerk to stamp each one. You can't only blame the staff, and not the dumb customers. If you do, then you're just part of the problem in my eyes. Since I know what I want, my personal experience usually is great and the staff is great too in return. I don't believe in all the negative ratings for this nor for other post offices either. Many times when I come here, there's a staff member walking around asking customers if they only have drop offs, pickups.

This office is the worst. Waited in line for 30 minutes, then they let someone skip me and help them instead. Then when I went to the front of the line , I already had my package ready to go and just needed the shipping label printed. Instead of doing that, she told me to get out of the line. I said why don’t you just print out the label and instead she gave me an attitude and mash the printing label. If you are reading this, enjoy being a public sector employee, because that kind of treatment and action would get you fired in the private sector. It’s unbelievable our tax payer dollars is going toward this type of service.

I was just at the Bay Terrace branch. Not only is this office the worst I have seen, the people working there are the worst. You can tell there is no management whatsoever in place. Before I approached the window, the guy behind the counter was talking on his cell phone through the speakerphone, apparently to a friend, about how he needed a good distribution company to promote his songs/album. No thank you, no acknowledgement that I just spent $20 dollars with them. I left, and he was still talking on the phone. The customer service "bar" keeps getting lower - everywhere. I personally refuse to accept it.

Today I was met by a very surly and abrupt employee at this post office; her name,Sherel. I needed a return receipt action on my post. She told me, in a very surly and abrupt manner that I should put it on the envelope before going to the window. I said I didn’t know I needed to do that, and I asked her to teach me. She said, “watch what I’m doing.” I was taken aback because her tone and words were very unfriendly and belligerent. Perhaps Sherel should not work with the public. Package control might better serve her and the community she serves.. I was very surprised.

I just saw one of their employees (looks like a woman, but this is an ongoing problem) leave packages outside of both mine and my neighbor's building where they are subject to not only theft, but the elements as well. When I told her to stop I got an attitude for it. Neither I, nor any of my neighbors have to worry about our packages being stolen while we're not home. Hopefully someone in charge sees this and does something about it. If not I'm going straight to the post office myself and deal with it.

This is my go to post office if I need to send things out. There are never any lines, and the staff, although, not the friendliest, isn't rude. I'm not trying to best friends them so it's not an issue for me. Parking is pretty decent around the area as well. I've never had any issues. I'm in and out, usually in about 10mins. Although, the weekend's weight time is significantly longer. Not sure who Mei is, so I can't speak on that.

Absolute worst!! Waited for a guy to send a bunch of stuff out only for the woman behind the counter to have to rescan them all for email receipt. After that, she walked away. She walked away when it was my turn. Only two windows open, and the other window was assisting someone with international shipping. All I needed was stamps. This review means nothing because no one will learn or change because of it.

This comment is for the guy writing about the 2 Afro American men. They are great they are always helpful and kind. It’s a shame I can’t say the same about the rest of the people that “work” not They are incredibly rude, they don’t want to help anyone they are on their cell phones they don’t want to take your mail even if you buy stamps, sad that they can’t hire better employees

The worst of the worst human beings work here especially the female by the name of Millie clearly told me one day she hates all the white people everywhere and does what she can to destroy the mail! We called the postal authorities on her and said she was a protected class because she is Hispanic and nothing will be done she has the right to hate who she wants to.

This is the worst post office possible. The discrimination against caucasians is unbelievable. Packages are open and returned to sender for no reason at all. There phone number is also unlisted so you are unable to contact them directly. Worse customer service ever!! They just take your money. No wonder the post office is going under!!!!

The friendliest staff, I don’t understand why they have poor reviews. It’s a post office. Sometimes there are line and the air conditioning doesn’t always work well but the staff is so nice and helpful and friendly many have been working here for years. Both bayside post office locations have the nicest people working there!

I will never use this service again. My package went missing and they LIED about it being in another state. Not to be trusted especially with electronics in your package. They should open an investigation in this place. Im sure its stolen by now but I can still leave this review. NEVER USE THIS LOCATION.

Mail delivery is a joke. Live in a three fanily house and all the mail is put on one box, no sorting, on daily basis no srting and mail is lost, and at least twice in the last year important mail lost, or misdelievered including state issued ID card mailed out August 1. Have filed formal complaint

I can't understand why there is a bad review? I went to mail my passport today and I had a great service experience; and the two black guy at the window were very friendly and professional. Nice place, should come here again next time if I need mail some else …

You will be in a line standing, the line is not moving. You can go get a coffee at dunk in donuts on the other side, sir and enjoy your coffee go back, guess what?? You're place in the line is still there. It's like watching paint dry, somebody help!!!!!!!

Went in this morning between 10:00 am and 10:14 to the clerk to drop off my prepaid package, and was told I had to pay for a receibt. First time I ever heard this.. so i politely declined..Hope my package gets delivered....1-7-22

I am SUPER confused about the poor reviews. I have only been treated with the utmost respect by pretty much everyone who works there. I am always asked how am I doing and I find that the staff is very respectful.

I was in a rush this afternoon, got there almost closing time and needed a box. But things went smoothly in the end because of a wonderful and patient service by a salesperson called "Nelly" - so grateful!

This post office takes FOREVER to get anything done. They always have a huge line wrapped around the corner and they always only have one SLOW worker there. It’s literally the worst post office.

This is the worst post office ever. They do not have self-service machines. The lobby looks like a disaster with no supplies. Honestly, find a different post office. Avoid this one.

The worst! On line since 0900. Now 0930 and still not open. Try calling and get a general number with no live people. Save yourself the hassle and go to UPS.
