Update: I still can't give 5 stars because of how badly this location is in need of TLC. However, there was a new young man there today, and he and his colleague were SO friendly! The woman who helped me was jovial & warm, and I could hear the guy being helpful and patient with customers! I didn't see the woman who has been criticized by many in reviews (I am almost certain). Maybe this is the beginning of a fresh start!? I give this place one star for location... And one star just for "trying". I agree that the customer service here is deplorable--however I also understand that the folks working here clearly get NO support, and terrible working conditions, limited supplies and zero upgrades, cleaning or much needed renovations! How would ANYONE be happy coming to work in a space like this? The last time I was there, June 24th, the AC was broken, one service window was broken (see photo), there were no pens and very few supplies. I was told that the Express/Overnight Envelopes were not out in the lobby, as " there were very few". I don't believe this is the postal workers fault. I think their attitudes stem from little to no support, terrible working conditions, and a general sense of the USPS not caring about this location. PLEASE FUND this location! The traffic & need has clearly increased since the fire at the location on East 18th.

HORRIBLE SERVICE AND I WILL NEVER GO BACK TO THIS POST OFFICE I recommend anybody to go to Avenue U post office instead much better service Either 344 Avenue U or 2302 Avenue U Both of them are great better than this scam Post Office because I mailed a package via ground service it was a small box maybe 3 weeks ago and there was a huge delay on that So I figured that was just a one-time thing So now I have a Priority package I just mailed last week and now the priority package still says accepted at that post office AND HAS NOT MOVED I do not see it in transit when I track the tracking number and it has not moved since I took that package last week So I have to investigate where is my package that's supposed to be delivered within 2 to 3 days for priority since last week it's still has no Scan they have not scanned my package and it has not moved. And its still NOT delivered so I do not recommend this post office at all they don't scan your packages and on top of that I realized they always have your packages outside in a bin anybody can walk by and pick up any package and walk out with it

Didn’t know USPS was in a rip-off business. Maybe just this location. They have all shipping supplies behind the counter. I wait in line, show the clerk (Lisa) what I’m sending and ask for a padded envelope. She gives me one, tells me to fill it out and come back. It’s a tight fit, but I go through with it. Come back to the window, she refuses to mail it bc it doesn’t fit properly according to her. Gives me another envelope and sends me back. I fill it out, come back and when it’s all processed, she charges me for the first envelope too. This is ridiculous. She couldn’t be bothered to do her job in the first place, and now the customer has to pay twice!!! No wonder people avoid USPS. Here’s a picture of the first package that Lisa refused to mail claiming it was ripped. It probably did need a piece of tape to seal it bc the glue is not good. But Lisa saw this as an opportunity to inflate the revenues of her location. Great strategy.... Do yourself a favor and avoid this location.

My vehicle often gets blocked by private vehicles that are Double-parked which belong to the staff, and usually they promptly move them out of the way when called to do so. However this morning, one young lady/staff member was especially nasty and difficult. She felt I had enough space ahead of me to pull-out, however there was another vehicle parked approximately 5-7 feet ahead of me and her rear lights were directly parallel to my rear view mirror. When I demanded to see a supervisor, who pleaded to get the young lady to move the vehicle she purposefully sat inside the car with the driver’s side door open and playing on her phone. Naturally I had a few choice words for her at that point, because I felt I was plenty patient and courteous given the fact that I would now be late for work. If that sort of behavior is tolerated in that place of work, I feel sorry for the decent people working there.

David Chen - a postman acted in the least professional manner when he refused to serve my wife, ripped her documents, called her stupid (because she filled out a form wrong), and told her that the post office was closed (during normal working hours at 4:30) and that she should go to another post office for service. He did not have his name tag on so I don't have a way to confirm the name he gave me. When I spoke to the man he appeared to be tired and indifferent. I understand that customer service is hard, and people get tired but this in no way justifies his actions. A complaint will be filed with all appropriate agencies to report Mr. Chem’s rude and deprecating behavior to hopefully spare other customers from this man’s negativity. This man does not deserve to be a public servant and should address any psychological issues he may have that lead to lashing out against other people.

If you dont want your packages to scan & have tracking, come to this location! they always have only 1 person behind the glass, who likes to speak their minds. they arent very helpful, so you have have knowledge on what you want to do. Very dirty and not updated at all, no supplies for the customers to use, even the free boxes that USPS has to provide. Whenever I ask for boxes, they give me a limit of 1. Im sorry...but Im a re seller and I need like 10. The only reason why it has one star is because they have a drop off window (but they wont scan it).

Every time I go to this post office, I get the worst attitude. The people here are so rude, terrible customer service. If you hate your job then quit! One time I asked for a pen because there were no pens out for customers. One of the ladies said she doesn’t have a pen (lie) and proceeded to tell me it’s not her problem. The other lady was talking on her phone while I needed help (right in front of her) and she told me to go somewhere else. How about get off of your phone at work? These people need to get fired. This is not how you treat customers.

Terrible experience, 2 years ago was told I was privileged by the chubby short hair cut , and today I asked another woman for a receipt she refused to take my box … after she took my little box she said you handed it wrong in the wrong window ? I was like so please explain how to properly hand it off , she refused to explain and all the customers were than yelling at her because she was being mean and yelling at me for NO REASON ! She belittled me all because I asked her to do HER JOB!

DO NOT go to this post office. It's never open on time, closed whenever it feels like being closed. Don't go unless you want your package lost, stolen, overpriced, charged extra. The one woman that works there (chubby with the short boy cut) is the most unhelpful, most rude person. It's not a i had a bad day person- it's every. day. It's the "I'm going to be rude on purpose because I rather not have any customers/not do my job and be lazy" attitude. Listen to the reviews!

Sent out a package, had clear handwriting. TO New Hampshire and FROM Brooklyn. Package got sent out to California, only to be sent back to my home address. Woman working didn’t ask for address confirmation, was talking to her friend in the back the whole time. “9.75” Pull out my card. “Cash only.” Anyway. Thankfully got my package back but the most useless 10$ I ever spent, can’t even get money back bc had to pay with cash. Just use UPS or FedEx instead.

The worth office in Brooklyn! Staff very rude and absolutely not client friendly Today’s morning visit to this office ruined my day. The guy at desk was making dirty comments on my accent and my Asian appearance, stating that he is here not to explain me where is my package and why usps misleading client on where she or he should pick up undelivered package. Avoid going to this location if possible! Not safe, not friendly, not client friendly!

One person working while another is doing phone. The person who is working takes 20 minutes with each person and I had to wait 1 hour in line. When the person right in front of us left we walked up to the clerk only to hear you have to wait for the bell. On top of that we ask for an envelope but she gave me a giant bag and a smirk on her face. I do not recommend this post office. Instead go to the one on Avenue u 20 times better.

I ship packages from this location because it's closer to my job. Each and every time this location never scans in the package. Which lead to no update on tracking. They have lazy workers at the window just talking not paying no mind to customers. They all need to be fired. No wonder this location looks run down.

I wish i could give U minus star for worst experience i had in this location! I would never hire people like U! I would never ever give U even $5 an hour! lazy lazy and have no feeling of responsibility! So many times i come and see this location closed without any reason …

This place feels like a Post Office from 1960s Russia. I use it as a drop off only for pre paid packages. Don't bother waiting in line, go to the office on Ave U if you need to have anything done face to face with an associate. Oh and she randomly locks up whenever she wants.

WASHINGTON LSSA postal worker won’t do her job , very rude , unprofessional human. I’m here right now she refuses to scan my items or giving me my receipt. Supervisor is not present .. she is waisting my time

I live in Harlem, but I come to this post office by my daughter house. Everyone has always been professional and courteous towards me. The service is quick because they're a small post office.

Lazy, don't want to be bothered workers, they should not be working with people and if they do, they have to put on face masks so you don't see their unhappy and miserable faces.

I stood in line for 30 minutes and the cashier says I work alone and do not scan, go to another department! I do not recommend it, cattle workers! such should be fired!
