Im leaving two stars because the agent who helped me was just fine. she was very sweet to me and helped quite a bit. Probably because i had to come back to this same post office 4 or 5 times to file for my passport. Because every time i asked for information i was either lied to, or the person who answered me just didnt know what they were talking about. I went in on a monday with all my paperwork ready. I had googled everything to make sure i wouldnt have issues. The agent was on lunch, and another worker told us that she would be back in an hour, but appointments were done first and walk ins were last. so i came back an hour later to be told walk ins are NOT ACCEPTED AT ALL. and havent been for awhile. first false information. so i schedule an appointment for the next day and i come back to be told all appointments were cancelled, for whatever reason, even though it was the same agent working yesterday who was telling me all this. no clue why she wasnt working that day but whatever. something about another person not being there that she needed, though everyday i came there she claimed to be alone. she told me that there was another worker who called all the appointment people and told them about this. this worker claimed he had gotten through to everyone, but he did not because i never received said call. so i schedule AGAIN the next day. Im turned away again because i didnt have a proper birth certificate and i needed to have another one printed. fine, whatever. by now, i have to schedule again, and the agent KNOWS WHO I AM, because ive been back so many times. it took a full week to file for this passport, and it all could've been avoided if i was given the correct information to start with. and im not a special case, during these days several other people were there in the same predicament i was in. in fact one lady lost her composure in anger over the whole thing. i really dont blame her. i would never recommend going here for passport stuff unless you absolutely have to. they schedule appointments even when the worker is required to have a 1 hour lunch. so if you schedule at 2:30 and her lunch started at 2, you'll be waiting. You cant ask for information because there is no guarantee its accurate even though the website may say so, and the workers might say so too. it was a horrible experience.

There are no numbers for the branch on the websites only the 1-800 number. I waited 45 mins for a man to tell me to go to Wannamaker branch. We drove there even though we told him that it wasn’t the closest branch. The worker told us that we were at the wrong branch when we arrived at Wannamaker, he had me fill out a mail hold slip. I called Edgewood, they told me I could pick up my mail Friday. I came, no mail. Filled out another slip, the man told me to come back after the holiday. Showed up today and there was no mail, the lady couldn’t get ahold of the mail carrier. I haven’t received my mail in a month and waiting on my car title. No one could tell me where my mail is or when to come back to get it. I filled out three mail hold slips. Ridiculous the hoops. Sat: Called the office again. Hung up on twice. Told to leave a note for the mail person bc they are not holding my mail, and they can’t get ahold of the deliverer. This is disgusting. I need my mail. Federal offense to mess w someone’s mail yet it’s been a month and 4 hold slips. Come On. I went to order my mailbox key and was told that I needed a lease only in person that day not the numerous times that I had to previously call and visit the post office to get wrong information. I picked up my mail which means they can no longer hold it? I can’t put my mail on hold anymore? I was told it will take up to two weeks before a mail key is made, so my mail is being put in the box with no way for me to get my mail? The lady I spoke with said there was no supervisor and the mail carrier will not deliver my mail to the door. I need my mail. It’s been a week since I ordered my mail key. I haven’t had my mail in over a week. My apartments haven’t received a key and the mailman won’t hand me my mail. I waited on hold for two hours to speak to a supervisor. This is ridiculous! Got mail keys one month later....NONE of Them WORK. Disgusting.

I moved about 10 months ago due to pandemic and had to move to apartments. Since I have lived here the mailman/mailmen can't get my packages and sometimes mail in my mailbox. I don't understand this considering my name and address is in the mailbox in 2 different places. I received a card in my mailbox 6 months in saying it was a vacant address and I was no longer going to receive my mail unless I filled out greencard. Okay odd you know you put mail in this box but sure I filled it out added my name in box again. Now mind you I am over 5 missing packages and mail at this moment. So the mailman is putting mail in the wrong mailbox and people are stealing it at this point because I haven't received none of these. I have filled out missing mail ect. My neighbor stopped me 2 months ago and had 2 envelopes and a package of mine thst was in his mailbox. He has been the only one to give me my mail. I am so angry these companies are not going to believe me that this is happening, and keep sending replacement packages. Now mind you i get 2 different monthly subscription boxes each month and now both have been missing. They won't keep replacing. Last time the post office lady argued well it says delivered so it was I said yes but not in my mailbox. This is Insane. On hold now to do another report after going in post office today. I don't understand how hard it is and why this keeps happening, but I sure get Mason's mail he lived here before I moved in. Mail carrier for 46227.

I have always had great customer service here but this week they went above and beyond. I ordered a dress for my daughters dance and the store said it would be here that friday (dance was saturday). Very long story short FedEx was supposed to transfer it to USPS for final delivery) but changed delivery date to Monday even though it was in Indy. They told me I'd have to go through my post office to pick it up. I ended up having to call this branch directly, 3 times, and got right through to a person each time. The first gentleman advised me exactly what to do once the tracker showed they had received it. Once they had it I called back and the woman found out where it was at and told me she would pull it and get it to my carrier to get it out that day (Friday) she even offered to call me back if she had any issues. The final time I called because the tracker said they tried to deliver it but since our apt office was closed they couldn't. I called the post office and another woman called the carrier and told him to bring it to me before he left the area. We got the dress in time and they saved the day! Thanks!!! P.S. to everyone complaining about hold times on the phone, never call the 800 number! Look up their actual location number on the usps website. You'll thank me later!

The only reason why it even deserves one star is because they have a self- service kiosk inside. Otherwise, no stars. The ladies who work here are unbelievably sassy and slow. They do not value customer time at all. I needed a few more flat rate boxes than what they had out in the lobby and she acted very very annoyed... Told me they may not have any and I might have to order them. Yes, you can have flat rate shipping boxes dropped off at your home for free, but I did not have time for that this particular occasion. Don't try to act like your huge, busy post office doesn't have what I need. She said she'd send someone out to the lobby with some, but luckily I found a few hiding in another display because I'm sure it would have been 20+ minutes of waiting just to have someone lie to me and say they didn't have any in the back. Very strongly recommend avoiding this branch unless you can use self-service.

This post office has awful ratings for a reason. For the past year I've had awful experiences with them damaging my packages, "losing" my packages and refusing to deliver them to me. Especially in weekends their customer service is horrid. I got a notice for an attempted delivery at 2:48pm and I had called hours before to confirm the delivery. Of course they close at 3pm and didn't answer my call. They then said they didn't have my package at all. I've gotten emails of attempted deliveries and NO notices or knocks at my door and recently I've waited nearly 3 weeks for a package and they refused to give it to me because my ID didn't match the address it was being delivered to. I've been going there for years with the same ID but this ONE package was different for some reason. The amount of disrespect and incompetence is appalling and their service is a joke.

I went here just to ship out a package which was actually easy for me considering I had the package ready. However, while I was waiting in line I heard the employees there being rude to several people and have an attitude with customers. They were not polite or welcoming whatsoever. There was also a lady who came in that didn’t speak much English and the employee yelled loudly to her that she was a few minutes late so she is cancelling her appointment and there isn’t anything she could do about it. It was embarrassing and also extremely disrespectful. If you hate your job so much and cannot deal with customers then get a new job. The customer service here is the worst I have seen. There were three women working there on this day from what I seen. All of them had nasty attitudes and even disgusted facial expressions.

I filed my US Passport application here. Unfortunately, the male clerk did not have me sign the bottom of the application when he was done filling out his portion. Because of this, I got a letter in the mail saying I had to go back and resubmit my application and basically be sure they had me sign it. This was March 3rd. Well, today is April 9th and I have still yet to receive my passport so I called the actual passport agency and apparently they had never received the new application. Because of this, I had to go back to the same post office and submit my application for a THIRD time for reasons this post office could have settled. Needless to say, my travel date is coming up and I still do not have a passport. If you go here to get your passport, I suggest asking for someone that knows what they are doing.

The Post Master General is lazy at this location and it trickles down to the employees. To be turned away at 5:20 to get a passport when they close at 6:00 is unacceptable. There were two people in front of me getting passports and were about through the process. She said they would not have time for me. If I ran my business like that, I would not be in business. It is sad that they have a monopoly on this service. They could care less because they know you have to come back. Instead of a lazy reaction, she could have rallied the troops to speed things along to service the clients that were in the building prior to closing. They continually run in a deficit year after year and some of the root cause comes directly from the lazy actions of the Post Masters actions like she displayed last night.

Lady who answered the phone was rude. Name started with a J. I can't remember it. My package was delivered to this post office at 6:48am this morning. She said it's still there at 1:00pm, but isn't sorted. Then told me it won't be there tomorrow. GRANTED everything else is telling me expected delivery is by the end of the day today. The entire time my package has been out for delivery, the longest place it has sat is this post office. I told her it is to be delivered by the end of the day today, and she said it will be here tomorrow. It's priority mail, but she says that doesn't matter and I am not allowed to come to the facility and pick it up. This all makes sense now knowing the other reviews. I will request all of my future deliveries be Fedex to avoid this specific location.

If your package is delivered to the wrong address don’t even attempt to have them fix the issue unless you would like a headache for a week. Robbie did absolutely nothing to help me even though I called 2x a day for 5 days and she knew the exact address of where my package was. Man with the accent won’t bother to help because it’s not his problem. Spoke with Tracy on my last day of trying to receive my package and she said she hadn’t heard a peep about my problem. She sounded very genuine and wanted to help me and made sure to talk to the carrier for me. Sadly it was lost at this point, 6 days later, because Robbie didn’t want to do her job the very first day I reached out. Carrier delivered my package to a receptionist when I live in a home without any apartment numbers.

I wish I could leave negative stars because these people are TERRIBLE at there job. I have never met anyone from the postal office to be SO rude. However Robin had extreme attitude when I told her the situation, just telling me the same things and then hung up on me! I called back and asked if I could please speak with her again and they IMMEDIATELY hung up on me before I could even finish. I called again thinking maybe it was a mistake and then they said "Oh shes not here anymore". This literally just happened, and I couldn't be more disappointed. I NEVER want to get anything delivered from these people or talk to them ever again if they are going to behave this way - unacceptable.

The guy who work there with an accent is a terrible employee and should not be working there. He is NOT deserved even 1 star. I tried to sent some items to different state and he asked me to confirm the address, to do so I have to click the "Yes" button so I did and his little payment machine was down. After waiting for 20mins I asked him calmly how long is going to take because I have to go back to work in 10mins and he rudely replied "HOW YOU GONNA PAY ALL THIS, BECAUSE YOU BROKE MY COMPUTER!" I was shocked and embarrassed, there were tons of people behind me. It's not my fault! I never give bad review in my life but this need to be fixed. I will not going back until he left.

July 10, 2023 (yesterday) around 6:30pm people in this Southport P.O. were yelled at, ignored, and/or refused service by the only lady working. She was shouting that her shift ended 30min ago & she was closing early. Things *escalated* when her HUSBAND came inside, joined in the yelling, and started pulling the doors shut on us. It was the most UNPROFESSIONAL & RIDICULOUS situation I've seen in a post office. She wouldn't even do quick tasks that didn't involve the cash register, like taking packages or getting mail. MANAGEMENT: Schedule more strategically or change the hours. None of this should be taken out on paying customers!!

Saturday I had two packages in my mailbox but was missing a larger package that did not fit in my mailbox, when I later looked at the tracking they said that it was at the office for pickup as per request by customer. My entire family is home right now and not one time did I receive a knock on my door in an attempt to deliver at all. I never requested to pick it up. This is the third time in the past 6 months that they have lied and said they attempted to deliver an item when someone has been home and listening for them. Just mildly inconvenient for us, all just because someone didn't want to get out of the truck and come to our door.

They weren't kidding about this place! It's close but I'm willing to drive farther! The lady recommended I tape the original package I was trying to send because it was cheaper and handed me a packing tape gun. "Here, when you're done come back". Not only rude but you need training on those things...they aren't like the ones in the stores. I set it down on the back counter and left. They were talking about going on vacation between themselves while dealing with customers. Didn't seem to want to be there. NOT APPROACHABLE. I'm typing this as I sit in the parking lot. Sad that they have this many bad reviews and nothing has been done!

Every time I ship my mail using the Priority service it arrives late. I am a frequent to this post office and I'm not sure what their problem is, short staffed? They even lost my package, I shipped it via Priority on February 19th and it wasn't delivered until March 7th and it was going to California, expected delivery date was the 21st. It's unfortunate that they don't care that they did maybe 10 - 15 years ago with their packages and customer service. The only reason I continue to ship from here is the convenience to the location of my house, but after multiple problems I may be forced to go elsewhere.

Most awful experience! Robbie who answers the phone for this post office is straight up rude and not helpful at all! They put my package in someone else’s mailbox and said they would “try” and get it back. I don’t live in the greatest apartments so I know that won’t be happening. My money is basically down the drain! Robbie hung up on me, not once but twice!!! I asked “well what do I do if I never receive my package” and she told me “well I don’t know what to tell you, give it a few days and we should find it”. I’ve contacted corporate because this is beyond frustrating & the carrier is very careless.

The mail service from here is terrible. We only received mail 2-3 days a week, if there's a car anywhere near our mailbox (not our car) they won't even try to deliver. I've also had them just not even attempt to deliver packages, I received a message saying they tried to deliver it at 7:41pm and couldn't, weird my husband and I were outside talking to our neighbor at that time and a mail truck didn't even come by. The package was medication from the VA for my husband who is a combat veteran. This is the worst mail service I've ever experienced and we've lived in many different places over the years.

When will your mail arrive? You never truly know with these folks. Mail that runs inner city should take no more than two days. I just found postage in my box last night that was almost three weeks old. The mailman here are careless and leave our mail on a separate street (they have the same number, but the street name is different). Ours has to be the very last street visited, because we sometimes wait up until 8 o’clock to see our mail. Weekends are totally unpredictable. It would probably be faster and cheaper to pick up my own postage.

It is the result of government unions. Compare the service to the personnel at a local UPS or FEDEX store and it is amazing....if they act like the postal worker, they would be fired. I have many friends and relatives at usps and they all say the same. To be fair, Edgewood is super busy. If you have pre paid Priority or Express, bypass the line or BETTER yet, drop it at a UPS store where they care. All UPS stores accept pre paid mail. Delivery at my home is between 1 and 6:30 on a regular basis ....not holidays where it was even later.

I have to give one star because it is the only way I can complain about service on this place, I have a passport appointment at 11:15 I get there at 10:45 the lady there told me was cancelled,called her manager and when she came over told me she left me a massage that was cancelled at 9:15 she even write it down on a paper, but was a lie because my phone shows 9:50 . The point is they don't really care about their job this isn't the first time they done this to me. Hope some buddy take care of this lack.

Terrible! I had to go to the post office as my apartment gave me the wrong mail box key. I provided my lease agreement and they STILL provided me keys to the wrong apartment. Now, I have to take more time off of work to go back down there and hope they don't mess it up again! If it doesn't get resolved, I'm contacting a lawyer. I have received no mail since moving to Indianapolis and have received late payment fees as a result of this branches incompetence. I see why people want to shut down USPS

This is the worst government office I have ever been to. These workers including management would be fired in a private field. They were rude and refused to serve customers. One of the workers was ask a question and her smartmouthed reply was...Not today we don't. REALLY... Another one said ..Because I don't want to. Mailman for my neighborhood has co tinually lied and said that my dog has attacked him as a means to get out of delivering our mail. He has told many other neighbors that he refuses to deliver to where their are dogs. I have small breed dog who would never hurt a fly. All she wants is to play and be loved on. Now without any short ofbinvrstigsrion just the lying words of a mailman, they c0uld take thrusting to have my dog taken away. This office is a joke and this mailman needs fired!

I scheduled a passport appointment for 2:45pm on Monday. I arrived ten minutes early and was informed that the individual who processes passports was at lunch. I asked if I could wait for her to return and was told that she’s booked for the rest of the day and won’t be able to “fit me in”. What about MY appointment though? The one I booked weeks in advance? Beyond frustrating! I’ll be rebooking with another post office. If you need passport services, I would avoid this branch.

If I could rate no stars I would. How does a post office lose a box. Southport Postmaster called me telling me, that they did not have my package. That it would have gone back downtown to main Post office branch to be re-routed to my new address. HOWEVER, he could not tell me if it arrived to be delived to my old address. He wa un educated on any questions i asked & uttered the whole time " i dont know ". HOW DO YOU LOSE A 11×14×10 BOX WITH A PERSONS NAME ON IT?

I'm usually very patient on waiting; but they had a long line from outside. Only 2 people attending, not sure if they were or needed more training; get more employees. They did there job pretty calm, which is okay; but they shouldn't get too comfy when they have more than 20 people in line. If they are new employees is understanding. USPS should get more employees. On top of that, they left and left there area alone. Everyone was just there standing up.

I sell items online and ship through USPS all the time and have had countless problems with them. The most recent being that I sent a package almost two weeks ago and they have not even put it in their system. After calling serval times and going to the store to ask for help, both were so incompetent that my package is still missing. Goes to show that the government can't do anything right, and that if you have the chance ship your stuff somewhere else.

Fedex dropped my package off at this post office. I went in to get it it and immediately the guy was rude and all I did was say”fedex says they left my package here”. He didn’t look for my package he didn’t ask for my name all he did was say they don’t have it. He was rude but I figured he knows what’s he’s doing if he works here. Although when I get back home I call FedEx and yes they did have my package and he just didn’t want to look for it.

Service is terrible here. Yesterday I spent 25 minutes waiting in line with 6 people behind me. I had 4 in front of me. One person waiting on people. Problem is there were 3 other people standing behind him no one opening a register just talking. Service means service understand if your up front be prepared to wait on the people that are there. If you can’t run a register you should be up front where people can see you. Very poor service.

My husband and I set an appointment at 9:30 for our passports. At 9:15, upon arrival, the ONE worker told us to wait off to the side and, I quote, “hope they show up.” At 9:50 someone from the back came out and said, “we’re not doing passports today.” And walked away. This is not my first bad experience at this location. it’s a horrible facility with multiple rude people. I’ve finally reached my breaking point and will not be returning.

I am speaking of my home delivery from Edgewood P.O.. I believe mail is sorted before leaving office? At LEAST 2 days a week I am delivering mail meaning I get other people's plgs/mail. Just NOW neighbor came to give me my pkg. Couple weeks ago my insurance check went who knows where!!? I am constantly taking mail next door Which last week I mistakenly opened her TAX document!! Yesterday I received a notice that a package had been delivered to my door. It was not there. Had email that another package had been delivered and left in front of my door. Nothing there. So I went down to the next building entrance and low and behold .. my two packages sitting in front of Apt B at wrong address. That apartment has no tenants at this time. If I had not been notified who knows if I would have ever gotten them.

Long lines and barely any employees. After waiting over 20 minutes, I’m told by the worker that I need to fill out a form and that I could come back up. When I did she completely ignored me and took other customers. The only saving grace is the African American man who who told me to come to him and apologized. He processed me quickly and apologized again when he was done. Hire better employees like that one !!!

Called ahead of time to place a 2450.00 purchase that went well. Upon arriving and requesting our order I presented our form of payment in a money order , the same form of payment I've presented before at this location as well as beech grove location. I was refused and got the rudest 'T7' supervisor and was told to leave with my 2450.00 request to go to beech grove and purchase what I needed. Horrible. 0 stars.

I went to apply in person for a passport after scheduling online. I forgot my application at home and had to fill it out in person (they have them available there) they were very patient with me. I only waited a short amount of time past my appointment time and was treated with respect. The clerk did a great job of explaining the process and what to expect next. She also did a really nice job with the photo.

They like to place the "missed delivery" notes in our mailboxes here that tell us our package is in our leasing office. Well it's not. It gets delivered there DAYS later. And when I just called to explain the issue, the lady on the phone just goes "If it says they're at the leasing office, then they're at the leasing office." And does nothing else and hangs up. This post office is trash.

The carrier are keep delivery to wrong address and they solving nothing , The people on the phone are so bad at customs service. They should not work if they not good at their job. If you cant delivered to right address stop doing that job. People who lost lots of package it upsetting. And being nice won’t kill you all to the lady that answer the call on the phone

Many bad reviews it seems, but i had a good experience. All 7 employees at the counters on the monday afternoon were friendly and efficient getting through the customer line. Same on a Saturday, very quick with the line. Jeanika and Renita are both very helpfull. My 2nd visit I have to raise it to 5 stars. Always surprisingly helpful. Thank you!

My mail is getting later everyday, it is now 5:39 on Saturday and no mail. Yesterday saw the carrier 5 houses away and took her 30 minutes to get to my house, come to find out she parked on the court and was on her phone then reading a book, I would think that lunch would have been long over by 4:30. There is no excuse for this type of service.

I was informed but usps to contact this facility due to my package being there with the wrong address and they could help me. The guy on the phone was not helpful and basically said the other people lied when the went above and beyond to help. The guy who answers the phone with an accent is a terrible employee and should not be working there.

Everyone has been nice and helpful when I go in. My problem is twice when I’ve stopped our mail they’ve either stopped it a week early or not stopped it all. Fortunately a friend stopped to water plants and saw our mailbox was overflowing. It would be nice to know you could count on them to not deliver when you submit a hold on mail.

This post office is the worst! They put a vacant notice in my mailbox when I never moved and never put in a change of address! Their phone lines are constantly busy and when you finally do get through they will have you on hold forever! I am on hold right now as I'm typing this review! Over 20 mins and counting! I have called this post office a few different times to inform them that the mailman does not close the lid to my mailbox and when it rains, my mail gets wet. Nothing has been done to resolve the issue. I had the same mail carrier for years and she was great no issues. The one we have now simply does not care about his job. Sad.

This is quite literally the slowest post office in existence. It takes over 30 minutes EVERY TIME I am here. The line is insanely long, maybe 2 people working the desk. Last time, the manager kept asking for people dropping off packages that were already labeled. Dude couldn’t get behind a computer to help along the line??

Mailman recently started declining leaving my packages at the door, he's been leaving them at the post office now, never was an issue before but Its kinda aggravating since I don't drive, otherwise I would have just went to the store and picked it up there smh why have a mailman if they can't deliver packages to the door?

My regular mail carrier is fantastic! Today Monday June 6, 2016 the man that was carrying was smoking in his mail truck and I'm not sure that is safe with all the important paperwork he has in his truck. From my understanding they aren't allowed to smoke while in delivery truck. I want my regular guy back!

The guys name with Tranee (according to name tag) is really bad service. He didn’t concentrate on customer and also didn’t explain to customer, Talking with co worker the personal staff more than customer focusing. Even that, he was very rude and asked customer to get out and refused to serve customer.

If you're in ANY type of a rush to get something done, don't go there. Absolutely worthless individuals.

This is one of the best post office in the southern district of Indiana. They have every thing you need to post and ship international and national. The are locally accurate about. All services. Especially, very narrative and helpful. Their service was the best on passports processing.

This branch is the most unprofessional and unorganized Post Office I've ever been to and they're rude. How are these people government workers? They send more people away because they dont know what they're doing. Go to the Greenwood location, they're very helpful.

One can drop outgoing mail 24×7 inside, especially helpful when the outdoor dropbox is full to overflowing. You can also get stamps inside any time you're in need. Good services from an old stalwart!
