When you come here expect to spend 25-35 minutes waiting on line. This location has 6 windows & since i moved in the area 5 years ago the most tellers I've seen at once are 3, but my biggest issue with this place are the tellers "sense of urgency". You see a line and a normal teller would attempt to pick up the pace, that concept doesn't exist here. In fact the longer the line the less they seem to care. Im not even gonna get started on the mail carriers (even tho my typical mail carrier does a awesome job and i appreciate it) when ever i order something that requires a truck to deliver it there's a good chance I won't receive it , because for some reason the mail carriers simply won't come to the building. There were times when i was expecting a very important package, i would take the day off work and wait, and wait, and wait until eventually I will receive a notification from amazon (or some other company) that my package couldn't be delivered cause no one was home. Its so bad i no longer send things to my address anymore, but thats the usps for you. They know they got us by the balls and there's nothing we can do about it.

If i could give 0 stars i would. I've dealt with many posts offices in my life but this by far is the worst one. Only post office i seen that doesn't allow my own wife pick up my packages. The delivery guys lie saying they delivered and immediately either don't leave a slip or don't knock and pretend they stop by. They don't re-deliver and won't let you pick up the package unless you send your id with a signed slip (if you lucky to receive one). The workers give you attitude as if you owe them something and they never answer the phone. I wonder if they even get paid or if it's a charity job, cause it seems like it. I hope one day someone in the higher management show up and re-organize this failed Post office. I'll never have anything delivered to my area again i rather haul my mail from my job than to spend 1 second in the worst post office in this city.

If you want the worst service, worst attitudes, and longest lines (while the mail people are in the back busy talking to each other) then head on over to the Wakefield Branch of the US Post Office. This place is like a fish market, there is NO order. Be prepared to be jumped ahead of in line. Be prepared for blank mindless stares from the workers if you have questions. If you can, use the post office at Gunhill (I've been there, much nicer/more professional!) If you can use one in the City, even better! I don't usually leave reviews, in fact, this is my first review on Google. But I've had it with them! The Wakefield Branch of the USPS is the absolute WORST!!!!!!!!!!! I can never understand why people who don't want to deal with people take jobs where they have to (GASP!)..........deal with people!!!

If I could leave a negative star it would be (-5), This place is ATROCIOUS. The window staff is extremely rude and UNPROFESSIONAL. The service is 4th world "Ghetto/Slum" service. Packages frequently go undelivered. I'll be home but the truck driver(Mr. Higgs) will NOT RING BELL TO DELIVER!! The lines are terribly long. Average time is 20-30 minutes. There is a short fat brown "Pug" that ALWAYS works the very left window... SHE IS THE WORST!! Mr. Perez is a rude supervisor! Bailey and Torres are slightly below average supervisors. The office/window staff has defective hippocampus's with smegma capabilities SO MANY NEGATIVE REVIEWS!!!! This reflect US Postmaster General Meagan J. Brennan!!

This post office is the worst, I've been complaining that I haven't received mail since August, I put a stop mail order, when I went a month later, important mail that showed up in informed delivery was missing. I put another stop mail order and when I went again a month later, AGAIN important mail was missing, and on top of that, they gave me mail that didn't belong to anyone in my address. They told me mail was going to start going to my house again but I haven't seen anything in 3 weeks and according to informed delivery the new social security card, and metro plus insurance card I ordered were supposedly delivered 3 weeks ago, so wft is my missing mail??

Worst customer service ever...They people who deliver the mail keeps on lying about delivering my package and puts a “sorry we missed you” sticker on my door. I thought I was crazy but I actually tested it 2 days ago, I stood up all morning until 3 pm for my package to arrive and as soon as I go in the hallway guess what’s on my mailbox”sorry we missed you”and now they’re trying to steal my package!!!! still haven’t got my package it’s always something when I try to get itThat post office seriously need to be shut down. They’re lack of workers also only 1 to 2 people be at the window with like 100 customers waiting smh.

horrible the line is always outside the door. There is only 2 staff members working at a time and If when you get a chance the employees are extremely rude. They give an attitude when you ask about mail related questions as if we work there. They need hire new staff and more of them working in the windows. They also need a window just for customer service so people don't waste there time on line just to be sent somewhere else. If It wasn't my zipcode mail office I wouldn't waste time going there. Just be prepared when you go there and hopefully they see these negative comments and use it to change it.

This has got to be the worst post office in the city. They don't deliver your mail, falsify mail notices ( put a earlier date than what it really is), are super nasty. Terrible. This place gives the USPS a bad name and causes all citizens to say "shut it Down!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" They have a "supervisor" manning the line because seriously the service sucks so much that people get upset. Very sad, this should be a great post office I don't understand what the problem is, walk to Woodlawn and it's great there. I think this neighborhood deserves equal treatment and service.

This post office has always been bad, but sadly it’s getting worse. A lot of times you order things and the carriers always say they attempted delivery of your packages and that they left a note but you never find the note. When they say they attempted delivery they don’t even knock on the door. Always wind up having to go pick up packages at the post office and when you go there to pick them up there’s always a hassle. So basically the clerks at the post office and the carriers are both lying. I will be making a complaint to the post master.

Poor customer service. Clerks talking on their cell while they are taking care of your transaction . Lines to pickup packages and mailing a package should be separated. Opening and closing of windows between breaks and lunches is too long. Opening without the proper change in your drawer especially in the morning to start the day is incompetent as a season clerk. Clerks should be educated on simple guidelines for especially mailing international packages this time of year. P. O. Is only as good as its managers.

This place is horrible the employees don't Kno what's going on never. They never know anything it's crazy. There ghetto as hell in there worst post office around my area I drive 20 min to Yonkers just to mail things. That's how serious it is. Don't bother here. The place is always a mess too. Nothing is ever organized. All there faces behind the window are miserable. So unprofessional. I don't kno how these workers are allowed to work with customers. Honestly this pace needs a turn around ASAP

I've had nothing but cooperative very pleasant experiences at this post Office. I think any negative reviews are coming from negative people I'm sorry. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. I would give them 10 stars if I could. Sometimes we the customer have to be patient and not take your 10-15 minute (not all the time) wait out on the employee behind the window as certain conditions are out of their hands. I would like to give the workers a grade of A++ in customer service.....

I literally just STOPPED going there and i live 3 blocks from the station. I prefer to drive into manhattan and at least have a peaceful experience. The staff is old and slow and are the worst at customer service. A staff member once denied giving me service and told his supervisor he wasn't going to service me all because i politely complained about the 30 minute wait time while seeing them have 5 minute conversations in the back. RIDICULOUS!! I TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE PERIOD.

This post office is terrible. TERRIBLE. The USPS dropped my package off with some random stranger and therefore I did not receive my package. If their employees so things like this, then what are they even doing in this business?! I would honestly give this office zero stars if I could. Absolutely terrible. I had to go through the stress of calling the company and trying to reorder my items. The workers here have disgusting attitudes and the worst work ethic I have seen.

I wouldn't give them any stars. Customer service is not at this place, it's all about a check for them. Very nasty and arogant. I don't want anything to do with this post office too bad I live in this zone. But something has to be done ! they need to be closed for a review. someone needs to get under their skin they are very disrespectful. The job needs to be a little more challenging to get because their just hiring anyone to fill the space this isn't retail.

Zero stars. They failed to deliver our package, we reported it online and had some rude lady call us saying they are closing the case because the mailwoman said she delivered it. The mailwoman stopped by our apartment the next day telling us she may have dropped it in the wrong mailbox. We had to wait 15 days to file a missing package claim, which was rejected because the mailwoman had “delivered” the package. Thank you USPS.

Clerk 46 at the Wakefield Post Office. Brown skin women with a large scar on the left side of her face made my experience at this post office an unpleasant one. She has a very nasty attitude, very unprofessional and argumentative. She walked away from the counter several times and told me that “I can go to someone else”. Please retrain your staff on customer service and how to interact with customer while at work.

I’ve been going to this post office for years and it has gotten better . Even though there isn’t much tellers at the window they do seem to try to get you out quick especially now due to covid they restrict how many people can be in the place at once . New friendlier staff are on hand to help you now .... only thing that has gotten worse is limited packaging supplies, maybe because of Covid . Not sure ...

Whoever answers the phone gives the rudest customer service, the delivery trucks never come on time with my packages I always get 2 day shipping and of course USPS gives me my package 4 days after. They play favoritism to certain people because I’ve seen one of the delivery people wait 30 minutes for a women to come home to give them a package. Worst postal office EVER with the worse staff included.

This post office makes thousands upon thousands of dollars for New York City each month. Most of the people who park their cars ends up with a 60 dollar ticket because the lines are more than 30 minutes long and most people only paid for 15 minutes of parking time. They are very unprofessional!! You be standing in line for a very long time, just watching the workers moves like snail. In addition they lied about delivering ppl packages, just today i stayed home to collect my package, they didn't turned up, but when i tracked my package after they claim that they made an attempt to deliver... That was a lie!!! Cause i was home!! Smh.

Simple ghetto is the best way to describe this place. Always short staff one or two people at the window. I lived around for years and has always been this way. Even if your just here to drop off a package expect to be in line for over 20 minutes. There is no self service machine like in most USPS and the employees are always in a bad mood and many times unprofessional.

The staff is very unprofessional not polite at all and the delivery drivers do not deliver the packages to your door they leave it in the lobby of the building went to the location and spoke to a manager she stated that she will investigate and get back to me she never reached out to me. This is the worst branch ever and corporate needs to get involved and take action.

I'm going to guns the manager because this place is a joke. You have some workers who really try but obviously there is no guidance. Also a lot of foolish and horseplay in the back. You can hear them just having a ball talking behind the PO boxes and THEN come back ten minutes later for them to not have your package. Oh yea, they NEVER pick up the phone!!!!!!

I see a lot of bad reviews but I haven’t had a bad experience and I go here often. The only bad thing I can say is that sometimes lines are long and you may be there for a while, but if you go in the early morning hours there usually isn’t a line and can in and out fast, I also haven’t had anybody be rude to me at this location

So sick of them saying they attempted to deliver my packages. So where is my notice?! Had a package coming yesterday and i sat on my fire escape waiting for the usps truck. Once i saw it, i ran to my kitchen and waited to hear a knock of the buzzer. NOTHING. 5 mins later i got an email that says they attempted to deliver. LIARS

Zero stars. They don't deliver and now they even go so far as to lie about having delivered to the mailbox. Terrible service here. Amazon has now removed them from our specific address, to ensure they never get our packages again. I encourage you to do the same. Wish there was a petition to shut this place down-

Horrible service. Long lines. Rude representatives. Don't answer their phone. They don't attempt to deliver packages just drops slips in the mailbox, when someone has been home whole day. Then can not locate packages when you go to pick it up in store. Why has nothing been done about this place

It is the slowest and the most incompetent post office I have ever used. I have to use it because it is in my zip code. One mail carrier delivers mail at their own leisure. In one week I got my mail at different times of the day. There's no consistency or professionalism.

Just received a package, fully opened with one of my items missing. This is the second time I’ve had an item missing from my delivery. Also, you can NEVER get in touch with them because they don’t answer the phone. I am more than disappointed in their service!

1 associate working, when I finally made it to the line , the representative informed me they had no priority labels. The representative didn't apologize for the inconvenience or recommend any other options. This is an example of poor customer service...

All the staff are nasty and unprofessional to say the least. I personally dread having to deal with this post office. The entire staff should be fired! I would like to think that this should be addressed considering all the bad reviews from customers.

Carriers get to pick and choose if they want to deliver or not and this is ok with USPS. Somehow they have time to write a note and put it on the door but never actually rang the bell and tried to deliver. I hope this post office closes permanently

The lack of respect that exudes from the employees, management included, at this post office is astounding. Even when I had proof of address, they refused to retrieve my mail. Our mail is also so very inconsistent since we've been up in this area.

The slowest ever!! The most I ever seen working behind a window was 2 workers, mean while the lines are reaching towards the door. If your going there be prepared to wait at least 30 mins especially around rush hour when everyone gets off work.

Went to pick up my package and they gave me a hassle it was supposed to be delivered yesterday as per being scheduled and they told me they’ll send it tomorrow and I explained no one can receive it can I select a day followed by a stern “ NO”

The workers are rude. When my packages arrive here there is always something missing. My notice always arrives days after the delivery. It is just horrible service. I wish they had more workers, maybe they wouldn't treat people bad.

Beware of your Amazon Prime shipment. On three occasions, my box was ripped up and slightly opened. One of those times, one of my purchased items were missing. I will never have Amazon prime ship to this post office again!

I had the worst experience here. The service here was awful. I feel they could of done more to help me, but they didn't. If it wasn't for that one employee who tried to at least help me, this place would get one star.

Worst post office I’ve ever been to. The clerks at the window are very mean and gets annoyed when you ask questions about how to do certain things. I wanted to cry cause I felt so helpless.

I always come here its a busy place in a busy area but the move as fast as possible. Anthony is the best be always goes above and beyond.

Since the COVID there are long lines as usual and lesser staff this is white plains with poor service.

They never come upstairs to my door, i always got to caught them downstairs with my package
