HORRIBLE!!! I honestly wouldn’t even give them 1 star except that there is 1... ONE lady there who is both friendly and helpful but that is it! I go out of my way to go to other post office just so I do not have to deal with the horrible, mean, rude, lazy, slow, unhelpful workers at the counter! Dominique clerk #30 is the worst of them all! She looks down her nose at every single customer, does not move an inch, is slow as a snail, and tells me everything she feels is wrong with my PRE PAID PRIORITY packages! She has been wrong every time and I let her know that which in return she gives me a very rude look and THROWS my packages to the side! I used to put all of my pre paid priority packages in the metal pull down bin until several went missing! No scan, to track because they were stolen from the back! How do I know this? Because they are missing!!! I work from home and run a business where I shop packages every single day... the only trouble I have ever had in 4 years is at this post office! At Christmas time there was a very long line, I had pre paid packages I just wanted to leave in the metal pull down bin, I was informed by a guy in sweats and a T-shirt to put them in a cart, I said no I will just put them in the metal bin hank you, he said I said just put them in the cart, I was shocked! Who is this guy in sweats and a T-shirt telling me what to do with my packages?! He says i work here... first off you have zero post office attire, you look like a bum off the street, and you have zero credentials to show me that you work here so why should I trust you?! SOOOO UN PROFESSIONAL!!!! Today I went there with 13 packages pre paid priority packages, there was no one in the post office except for the people who work there and clerk #20 helped me. I just asked her to scan them in and give me a receipt so I had proof they had them. (Which I have learned to do since all the stolen packages from the thieves who work there) she informed me she is only supppsed to scan 3 packages, if I have more than 3 packages I am supposed to get a manifest printed at home so that it’s faster for them and easier for them. Really?? She argued with me, little do they realize that is not how my business works. I do not get a manifest at home of my shipping labels because I do not purchase them online it is all done they my company at different times through the day. So she gets her manager to come out and deal with me TK tell me that I need to print a manifest of all my packages so that they do not have to scan every package one by one into their system! I said first of all, I already paid for the shipping priority mail and I am a customer regardless of if I shipped it from the post office OR from home, that is their JOB!!! These are the rudest meanest laziest people I have ever felt with in my 40 years!!! Again I go out of my way to go to other post offices just so I do not have to deal with the mean negativity they put on everyone who comes there! There was a poor little Asian lady with a cane one day ready to cry because they were so mean to her. It broke my heart! Yet there is NOTHING we can do... Our taxes pay their jobs and yet they treat us like the scum of the earth! Something needs to be done!

Large USPS location with an ample amount of parking. Building is clean, well kept, and well lit. Besides the physical aspects, the customer experience out of this location is overall poor. Customer service desk always has a line with only one or two registers open. I specifically was opening a new P.O box and my experience relates to the entire span of renting. Opening a new P.o box was a back and forth of documents needed with no clear directions or guidance really provided. The clerk was rude and shaming because I was not completely clear on the process and did not care to explain much. Checking the box however is more of a seamless process as you can be in and out without talking to anyone. Finally, when I was ready to close my P.O box after a year I went in and asked a clerk what the process is and he exclaimed, "fill out a new address form and it will close it." I was a little confused especially after the original process was so tedious how could this be it? After filling out the form I asked if he was going to take back the keys, and after not realizing initially he asked for them back and that was it. Now, a month has passed and I found a charge on my bank statement for the monthly P.o box. The workers at this location are very rude and short with you just trying to move the line, while not being very knowledgeable on their process either. I will now be returning to this location to attempt to close this P.O box once and for all. Wish me luck!

By far one of the rudest post offices in San Diego! I avoided it on purpose for years and tried again today but no change whatsoever. I have had two very bad experiences here. Most of the staff is pretty mean except one older latina lady who is friendly. I went in today at 8:45 am to mail a package. A lady weighed the package and then said it would be less if I used a medium pre paid box of some sort and pointed me in the direction. There were two areas with boxes labeled medium so I grabbed one. When she saw the one I grabbed, she rudely exclaimed "I SAID to grab such and such a box...so it would not have to be taped" I advised I had grabbed a medium one and she said "there are two different types!!" Very condescending and no class whatsoever. Well yes, Miss then you should have said there were two different types - since both were labeled medium, how is a person to know? She was so unprofessional and mean. She then stepped away not assisting any further. I try not to go into this location but was short on time and it is near my son's school and had a urgent package to send. I received the same service a few years back from a lady who looked similarly (I dont remember to get names as I don't expect to be given such bad service). Anyways, I will avoid this location like the plague at all costs. I plan on writing a letter to the branch manager / supervisor as well. It feels horrible trying to do anything here!!!!!!!

KEN the "supervisor" is one of the most unprofessional workers I have ever had to speak with. DONT ANSWER THE PHONE IF YOU'RE NOT GOING TO LISTEN. I had to repeat the address I was holding mail for, four times. Then I had to spell it out to him. Finally- He told me my package was returned to sender because it had been 10 days....yet he NEVER asked me fore the tracking number. Also, I put in a request for my mail to be held for THIRTY days and had confirmation of it. And if the package WAS sent back- that would have been updated on the tracking. It should have been updated that it was with my held mail as well with their scanners. KEN also said he needed to wait for the carrier to return to the station to ask where my held mail was being kept! A SUPERVISOR couldn't tell me where mail was!!!! Once I I formed him that I was going to be making a complaint, he hung up on me. Since then, I have tried to reach the station in hopes to speak with the station manager. I assume they have caller ID because when I call now, there's no answer, then it immediately rings busy. (The old phone off the hook trick) So instead of just doing his job- now he's going to have bigger consequences.

Terrible service. All I wanted to do was pick up my mail(my box at my apartment broke and they left a slip saying my mail was here). When I turned in my slip, I was asked (with attitude) why it was broke(i had no idea, I came home and it was) when it would be fixed(already told landlord) and how long it'd been broken. I eventually got my and my boyfriend's mail. The next day I go back and I got the RUDEST woman I have ever dealt with. She first thought I was picking up a box. I said I came in yesterday and I got my mail. she asked for my id and when I said its for parks/burns(boyfriend) she said he would have to come amd get his own mail. she went back for a minute and then said the carrier had everything and that she couldn't do anything. I asked about yesterday's mail, abd she rudely said the carrier had it. While waiting on the supervisor, I witnessed her deal weigh multiple customers. she was rude to EVERYONE that wasn't black yet super pleasant to those who were.

These are the least helpful people I've ever met. Put my mail on hold as I was moving and didn't have a change of address. Took it off hold to pick up some important mail, the website stated I would have 10 days to pick up before the carrier would delivery it, came in two days later and they had already sent my mail back out. Was told they would hold it the next day, came in and they only had a days worth of mail. Told me if was my fault basically for not putting in a change of address, as if that's not what I would've done if I could've. I understand it's a vacation hold but holding mail is a service that is offered. I shouldn't have to explain my circumstances to them, they should just do their job and hold my mail for the specified amount of time. Apparently my mail is just floating around somewhere and they still have not offered any valid reason for why they didn't hold it like they were supposed to. Terrible service and no accountability for their own mistakes.

If looks could kill. This location has a couple mean ladies working there. One middle aged hispanic female employee was staring at a complaining customer. I was pretty sure the employee was going to beat her up at some point. Maybe later. My suggestion is at this location, keep your head down and try not to go to the customer service desk. We now have to pay the post office for a private box because I'm also sure our mailman was stealing packages instead of delivering them at my home address. My envelopes would be open. I've had 2 packages stolen from my box. One time he left the whole box for the whole complex open and unlocked with several packages inside. And no one answers the phone when you try to get them to come out and re-lock it. Now we have to pay 40 bucks a month at the post office and we still get junk mail too! You'd think for that price we'd have safety, securty, and no junk mail ...

This is an overdue review. I am not one to leave bad reviews but every single time I have come to this post office I leave incredibly pissed off and in a bad mood even when I come in there mentally ready to handle how rude a particular associate is. Today was the only day that I actually had a negative experience turned around into a somewhat positive because a different clerk offered to help me, because the first one pushed me aside. I didn't even end up shipping the one I needed a label for because I was so shocked by the poor level of service and just ended up purchasing tape and mailing a pre-paid package. Note: I am a young adult with a lot of patience but have noticed that most of the clerks are nicer and more accommodating to everyone else! Bottom line: I usually go out of my way to another post office on the days I don't think I can handle anymore of their horrific service.

This post office location is the closest one to where I live and I use their services on average about 3-4 times/week. As with any USPS office, there are times when you are going to have to wait in line, but the service here has never been anything but friendly and the employees have always been very patient with me and willing to assist me as I learn the various shipping methods and requirements of each option for my budding eBay business. Let's face it, nobody looks forward to waiting in line at the post office. But I give it 5 stars based upon the wonderful staff who do their best to offer assistance and friendly service EVERY TIME I have been there.

Not from the area and was looking for nearby post office to send my kids back home some gifts. Was really hesitant after reading the brutal reviews about service and was kind of worried since the only means of travel was by foot and it was the closest. Beaten up by the outside heat and expecting a rough experience, the truth came to be the total opposite. I was greeted by the sweetest counter woman named APRIL. I was welcomed with a nice conversation about where I was from and so forth. She treated my package with care and was extremely polite. I must have came on a perfect day:) thank you much April!! Mahalo.

I closed my PO Box about two months ago... filled out and handed them a "forwarding address" form. I was told the forwarding address would be good for one year. I've been notified by two different clients that packages have been returned with "No Forwarding Address"... ONE WAS FROM AUSTRALIA!!! Like all the other reviews, they DO NOT answer their phone. What's the point of having one? When the box WAS open, I often got mail from another box, making me wonder how much of my mail was sent to the wrong box. This is our US government in action. At least they have cool stamps! :-)

  • Alex Bond

Took me about an hour to get someone to help me due to the fact that 2 months prior I brought in a forwarding address form which was never filed by an employee. So I waited an hour to do the process all over again to be told I’ll have to wait another 2 weeks then will have to come back in to verify my ID. Which is odd because I wasn’t told that the first time I did this process. The manager Mr. white was kind when assisting me. Over all it took WAY too long to be helped for a mistake they had made in the first place. Also they don’t take cash just a heads up!

  • Anthony Nuno

Dropped off a package a week ago that was meant to go from Grantville to El Cajon City just a few miles away. Poor attention to detail now has my package in Los Angeles Distribution Center - FOR WHATEVER REASON. Got in touch with them and their response is " there's nothing we can do ". Such great accountability for an error that should not have been made to begin with. Avoid this branch at all costs, just in the past two months I have had this happen three times - there are other locations that actually care about their job and the packages sent out from it.

  • Amber Robins

I went to the USPS office to mail a package today. After waiting in line, I was greeted by a nice gentleman. As we were processing my shipping request, another clerk, Mariel shouted across the room at me that my dog wasn’t allowed in. I explained to her that my dog was a service dog. And that i have paper work. Mariel said he isn’t wearing a service vest. And told me to leave. I suggest not waiting until a customer is at the service counter to tell them they need to leave because their service dog isn’t wearing a “vest”. She was very rude and not helpful.

  • Cheli P

Old lady Blanca refused to politely help. She was in denial that I had no mail. Didn’t mind asking what my name was or where I lived. Very inexperience if I needed help getting my mail this old lady should’ve known these answers that’s why she works there She doesn’t have an customer service skills either. She lacks all qualities to work at a post office. Rude old lady Blanca is not fit for her job. Why isn’t this lady fired she has so many bad comments. Unbelievable she’s still employed. Move her to the back so no one interacts with her. Waste of labor.

  • Gabriela Atanasova

Terrible service! Have a small business and an unfortunately I have to use their services every day. Part of the staff that works at this office are extremely rude and not helpful at all. A girl named Mariel never smiles and refuse any assistance when I asked her to help me track some packages and it’s always so rude in her communication. The supervisor named Ken is so lazy and unprofessional and not wearing a name tag! He turned his back and just walked away while I was asking him a question. No wonder that the staff looks unhappy at this location!

  • Lourdes Mathewson

Worst post office in San Diego. Supervisors Calvin and Ken are incompetent and will never return your phone call even though they ask for your name and phone to call you back. The mail carriers are equally unqualified to deliver mail and packages. Often times delivering to the wrong address. The sad part is there is absolutely no accountability for the poor quality of work from the supervisors to mail carriers. So they get way with anything and everything. What ashame since they still get paid. Nicely done usps!

  • Stadium Arms

I've been on the phone for over 5 minutes, and nobody answers!! Our mail man left our tenants' mail boxes open yesterday!!!!! and I don't have a way to communicate with anybody to come and lock the boxes. On the other hand, our mail man always puts the mail on the wrong boxes. We've complaint in the past, and nothing has been done. Legal documents are left outside the boxes by other tenants because they were misplaced, and not even the tenants want to call the post office anymore because nobody answers!!!!

  • Erin Williams

They lost a priority shipped package that had a tracking number. It shows that it was delivered online but it wasn't in my mailbox. After going to this branch to speak with a manager, his suggestion was to go to my mailbox and wait for the mail carrier to see if she could find it.... That was the managers solution, go stand for an hour and wait for the mail carrier. Wouldn't be that big of a deal except the package contains my PASSPORT. Terrible service, terrible problem solving skills.

  • Sadha Djdiei

This place is the absolute worse. I tried calling to inquire about a package I had at this office and to see if I could pick it up because usps never delivered my item and nobody picked up after 3 calls at three different time. Finally went there, waited in line just to tell me they couldn’t help. Literally could’ve done this over the phone. This place is extremely unprofessional.

  • SA Weber

Completely worthless. USPS delivered items to my door, the items are not mine. Delivery driver didn't wait, drop them off and left. Called the 1-800 number "not their responsibility since the items were delivered to the correct address even though it's for the wrong person." Refer to the local store servicing this area code which is grantville who doesn't answer their phones

  • Yvette

This place went from a one star to a three star and that's all because of April. April was was very friendly and gave my mother the best treatment, she even spoke Spanish to make it easier on my mom. I hope the staff there can learn a thing or two from her. I would be more than happy to give this post office a five star but they really need work on their customer service.

  • Gina Kanani

I was there Dec 10 just before opening. There was a clerk stocking the box display who was kind and friendly. The counter clerks were also kind and friendly and efficient! They processed the seven packages I brought quickly. They were most helpful too. I have never had an issue at this branch and do not understand the negative comments posted.

  • Chris Tangaro

Ive had packages delivered to the wrong mail box 4 times! Ive chased down the person delivering mail 3 times and this last time they got lucky because I got home late. This unacceptable I shouldnt have to track down your workers to open other mail boxes so he or she can give me my package. Hire serious workers who take pride in their job.

  • JR EWING

Put your crack pipe down before you comment. I have been going there for 15 years and have had wonderful service. The only problem I have had was conducting business before Christmas. The reason why is obvious. I have a suggestion for the people that posted bad reviews. Move!! Get out of my neighborhood and go complain somewhere else.

  • PT Management

It’s frustrating to arrive at 6:16 am and the lobby still locked. The sign says 6:00 am open. It is difficult for me to make it back to the post office during that is why I stop by on my way into work. Just paid box fee and if I can’t get to it is a waste of money. Come on Grant Ville get it together!!

  • Katie Ackley

Super friendly! Busy area especially during pick up and drop off times of the school located just past the Post office. Took 45 minutes to get to the parking lot the day I made the mistake of trying to get there during after school pick up time... Otherwise this post office is great!

  • Gypsy Dance

I had a pleasant experience here. I had to send out a small package (garage door opener to my previous landlord). While the wait time is annoying at every post office you go to, at least the guy at the counter (Raymond) was very nice and professional.

  • brittany bridges

I rarely leave reviews, but this location has the least helpful staff if you have an issue with anything. The attendants are always very friendly, but if you have to escalate anything and speak with a supervisor or other staff member, they

  • David Le

Worst customer service ever. When the manager asked for who was next I explained my situation where customer service told me i was able to come by and pick up my package since the sender sent it to a address with no apt number. Definitely

  • Jeff M

Got a PO Box here. One week later all my business mail is being returned to sender for an "unknown" reason. Talked to the box manager and she said they didn't see the business name that was clearly written on the application. Instead of

  • Behmor Behmor

Can't explain why the person(s) doing the route at times just don't stop to pick up mail. The little clip we use to hang the mail outside our garage is plainly obvious from the street, yet again yesterday they failed to pick up the mail.

  • G C (The G)

Most of the time when I come down here there's a line. It moves quickly enough, they're generally efficient and attentive. I've not had a bad experience here. I also often use the postal machine in the lobby, so I'm out quickly.

  • Matthew Cummings

Angelica was a delight to work with. One of the best customer service I’ve ever had. She would make a stellar supervisor if she’s not one already. Thanks again for all your help.

  • Richard Castaneda

Horrible post office. Frequently delivers to wrong address. Literally the only thing the mail carrier has to do and they can't even do that right.

  • Philip Mondy

This has to be one of the worst post office locations. Just look at the ratings! The people who work at the front counter are always rude.

  • Katherine Nakamura

Awesome support. Efficient, helpful when I had a mountain of packages. Couldn’t be happier and great prices, too. Go USPS!

  • The Poizn Widow

I have never had any issues when I come to this office. I ALWAYS find less people waiting here. In & Out in a flash!

  • Carol Ochs

Dear USPS, Mail Carrier, Postal Gods.....Whomever it is that has any power/and/or concern in these matters.....
