I have had to literally re-mail packages to people whose packages I get addressed to NOT my address. I have had at least 8 packages marked delivered to my SECURITY building, but when I go to get them after my alert tells me they’re delivered they aren’t there. They arent being stolen within minutes of delivery to my locked building. It’s clear they’re being misdelivered. So I had to get a PO Box. Guess what? On 3 separate occasions I’ve had to ask for packages I knew should be have been there but wasn’t and every time I get “oh someone forgot to put your box number on it” my box number is ADDRESSED on the front of the package! I’m now still waiting to find yet more packages marked delivered. UPDATE EDIT: That last package that was marked “delivered” to my PO Box yet wasn’t there? The staff would not help me. I was told “it must have been delivered then” to which I responded “but it wasn’t, that’s why I’m talking to you about this” They finally ceased the conversation by saying “then you can go online and file for a missing package” I attempted to but- guess what? Nope. I couldn’t do that because “this package is not eligible due to the following reasons: not insured by the sender” Any package mailed by USPS and marked delivered to a USPS Post office box should be eligible for this service. I gave up. THREE MONTHS LATER the package showed up. I’m my PO Box. No note. No explanation. Nothing. Postmarked THREE MONTHS prior. The. Worst.

Is zero stars possible? I have been to the location physically at least 4 times and have called more than a dozen times because my carrier will not deliver to my home. For awhile, my mail was consistently returned to senders, and now it's not even always going back, just not getting to me. (That doesn't seem legal...?) She does not like the proximity of my dogs to the front door (which is where the mail slot is), and I refuse to have to pay for an official box when I will only live here a couple more months due to the landlord shortly refurbishing. So I followed the suggestion of one of the many managers that I spoke to in person, and we have a good sized box on the front porch out of the rain, marked MAIL. She refuses to use it. So on the one day a week that another carrier is working, I get my mail. This is bull***t. I do not have the time to follow up on this daily, but they are leaving me no choice, as it's been going on for weeks. I rarely write bad reviews, but this one became unavoidable because no one will take action.

the Incentives and/or lack thereof to provide good customer service, speed and accuracy are apparent. One of our neighbors on our dead end street have a dog they occasionally let outside without a leash. Apparently it has attacked the mail delivery people a few times. The neighbors have been told and animal control was notified. Since apparently no resolution was reached the postal service decided to stop delivering ma to the entire street and install a community mail box outside our street. Any time we ask for updates the post office workers at this location are immediately rude and aggressive as if we had been the ones to personally attack the deliverer. They can never provide any information and seem to refuse to help. They don’t give us a number to call, just say “we don’t know. Could be a while” - they are very rude and treat people like a nuisance.

I work for a business that is open 24 hours a day. EVERYTHING that is to deliver to us over the weekend is put as a "no access to delivery location" as the carrier is to lazy to go to our door on the weekends. I have called 3 times to the location to inform them we are 24 hour operation, and yet it happens time after time. And now, a shipment of masks for our employees is delayed. Update 10/19/2020. Still an issue. The weekend carrier is just too lazy to attempt delivery. USPS cant seem to deliver anything other than an envelope on the weekend. This is why there is no faith that they can handle ballots.

I am so tired of this...We are constantly getting other people's mail which we then deliver to them, but I have to wonder how much of our mail with potentially personal information (or worse yet applications for CCs) is going to other people in our neighborhood. Now they've even lost our end-of-year tax form from the mortgage company. #fail. I actually got someone else's MEDICATION the other day and when I happened to see the mailman and gave it to him to be re-delivered, he said, "oh man I was having such an off day yesterday. this happened in a bunch of places." What?

I took the time to call the Rose City Post Office, servicing zip code 97218. They, she, worked hard to help me understand if my mail was being held, or forwarded. When we confirmed that my mail was there the helpful Postal Worker took the time to explain what my next steps were for "Premium Forwarding" of my mail. I hate working with government agencies, and i find it highly stressful. But, in this case the Postal Worker did her best to help me out. I got to say good things about the Postal Worker i worked with today at Rose City Post Office servicing zip code 97218

Everything was fine except we realized our box had been closed. Came down and found out someone had came in that wasn't I nor my business partner, and closed the box and took our 90.00. We spoke to the manager. He was very rude and frustrating to talk to. Didn't think it wasn't important to try and find out what went wrong. We came to the conclusion it wasn't fraud, but suspect the Post Office wasn't paying attention and closed our account by mistake. And to this day, it has not been resolved.

They took all of my mail and left a note saying come get it. How is that legal? If it's full from the day before whatever you were going to deliver today put back in your little tote and bring it back the next day you don't take what was already in there that's stealing. It's amazing that every time somebody sends something that looks like a birthday card with money in it I never get it. I get people's mail that's not even addressed to me.

I've put vacation holds on our mail for probably 30 times over the last 10 years. USPS from this station has followed directions on the hold maybe half the time. They either start the hold a day or two too soon or fail to follow directions for delivery at end of hold. We've repeatedly had pkgs mis-delivered and we have to go swap mail with our neighbor's a few times a month because our carrier apparently can't read numbers (?).

  • Amy Franco

Have been several times and it's usually just fine like a usual post office experience but they were particularly soothing and helpful when I had to mail in a passport renewal a few months back. They calmly walked through the steps and even gave me time to fill out some remaining info off to the side before stepping back to finish. Appreciated the straightforwardness at the end of a complicated process!

It's the USPS. Really, they provide a hell of a service for being over worked. Unfortunately, it does show at some locations, and this is one of them. This location has employees who are lacking in overall enthusiasm. The building is old and worn and hard to notice from normal traffic. In general, the USPS should build a better location easier to get to and shut the door on this location.

  • Mel Fletcher

This USPS station should be investigated! The carriers do NOT make an attempt to deliver parcels to disabled persons in apartment buildings, choosing instead to leave a note that the parcel can be picked up at the post office. The employees at this station have a surly attitude toward the public. When they start shutting down post offices, this one should be first!!!

  • Diane Spencer

Don't mail any gift cards for pick up at your home and hopefully delivery anywhere else. This is the second time "cards have not arrived". I am out an expensive card and two expensive gift cards thanks to the USPS. I had to repurchase everything for a friend for her birthday. This is not the first time my "mail has been lost", this is just the most expensive.

  • Colette and Joshua Eaton

This post office goes above and beyond to help you! I had a high priority package coming from Europe and I was panicking when it didn’t arrive on time. The manager personally tracked the package down when it got to Portland and drove it to my house! I’m so blessed to have this location as my local post office!

  • Vicki Proby

We in cul desac Mail receptacle has been broken for atleast 2 weeks. Had to call the post office to ask where our mail is find my mail. Why can’t the post office bring our mail to our home addresses. We should be asked to get mail boxes. I never did understand this set up. 5013 NE Emerson Ct. PDX 97218.

  • Ari W.

Edit: Now someone is definitely obviously opening my mail. I have a PO box, no one should be opening my mail but me. REALLY SUSPICIOUS AND ACTUALLY ILLEGAL. Hey thanks for losing and/or stealing my paycheck and being the reason I'm homeless and starving. Well done, USPS, functional and caring as usual.

  • samantha sensi

Worst service I have experienced in a very long time. Very inconsiderate to their customers time. Avoid this place if you can. Nguyet is very nice and tried to be helpful while Lisa was quite the opposite. Very rude and aggravating. Spent 30 minutes on what should've taken 5.

  • The Gnostic Guru

I can't even tell you how many cards with checks in them they haven't delivered to me. It's obvious they got thieves working for them by reading the other comments. HQ didn't do anything. This post office made me lose all respect for the USPS. They are disgustingly inept.

  • Pattabhi Rama Rao Yeleswarapu

Visited this usps for the first time, very few ppl waiting in the Queue. Well maintained, ample amount of parking. They have all kind of supplies for postage. Forgot the name of the person who helped me, she was just super helpful and courteous. Overall great experience.

  • Allison Long

always out of the one box i need. also, while standing in line I could hear one of the girls working complaining about not having had her break yet. As someone that also works in customer service, I cant imagine complaining in front of customers about not having a break.

  • Nate Janssen

The self-service kiosk was surprisingly awesome! It is really well made and intuitive. Even if you can barely do a self-checkout at a grocery store, I think you will have no problem with this machine. You won't run the risk of ruining your

  • Diane Graham

Don't you train your mail delivery people to put the flag down when they pick up mail that's been left in the mailbox to be picked up? They don't put the flag down when they pick up my mail. That's how I know the mailman has delivered mail.

  • Ed Hecht

I've spoken to two different employees here who have been SUPER helpful with trying to resolve a shipping/delivery dispute. They both spent about 10 minutes on the phone with me. I would say INCREDIBLE customer service in this day and age!

  • Drew Liebert

This is the slowest post office in the city. They can't have more than two windows open at any time. If you have to drive there, the parking lot is almost always full. Buy your postage online and drop your package at the airport location.

  • Jon Bergeron

Post man left my package near my trash cans. I live in an area with heavy homeless traffic. Needles to say i never received my package. Why would you put a package near the trash to begin with. That makes it public domain to the homeless.

  • Somebody 101

They said they would send my package yesterday and they never did. What they did not make clear was that they do deliver on Sundays and if we knew that I would have gotten it today instead of picking it up tomorrow. Worst service. Ever.

  • Jonnie Ling

Stopped delivering mail to our home because of an incident with our neighbor's dog. Have to drive a different neighbor to the station weekly. No timeline on a resolution a month in. The people deciding always seem to be on vacation.

  • Aayaan

Went to mail an international package. The agent was kind, knowledgeable and excited to help me get it out. Go prepared so they are prepared to help you. It was a great experience and fairly fast. I highly recommend this location!

  • Sally Williams

The post office regularly mixes mail with the address. Plus, recently sent to the wrong zip codes, even if the person who mailed the letters puts the right zip code on! They won't pay attention to the apartment numbers.

  • Cheri Hall

I believe that my mail carrier is responsible for 2 missing checks.I personally watched him take my mortgage payment and the bank did not receive it.In the same week someone sent me a check and I have not received it.

  • Brittney Jones

Sent a package to Arkansas and for some reason these people put it on a truck to be delivered to Portland Oregon. So now my package is 5 days late. At least. I guess they can't read the difference between TO and FROM.

  • Steve Wessing

Overworked, under payed, poorly prepared. The workers here are tired and jaded, yet they continue to provide acceptable service. Lines are always long, and supplies are usually not available. Prepare accordingly.

  • PM B

My mail carriers are always more than courteous when delivering parcels and mail. They always know where to leave my parcels and will knock our door to let my husband know something is delivered.

  • Hannah Smith

I’ve never had a bad experience here. You just have to patient sometimes, they’re doing their best. The people who work here have always been nice even under the duress of holidays etc.

  • Linda Bronkey

The staff at this postal location are great! So competent, courteous, and helpful! It has improved tremendously in the last year or so! Great service! (Rose city park postal service).

  • Shaun Davidson

Best USPS I’ve been to in Portland. Was shipping two packages to Japan today, didn’t know how to write in the addresses. They walked me through it, were patient and helpful. Thanks!!

  • diane johnson

We have been getting our mail past 6pm and that is not acceptable. Last week we did not get our Wednesday grocery ads until Friday evening. So much for $5.00 Friday at Safeway.

  • Rebecca Peters

I go to this post office once or twice a week to ship orders for my business and have had nothing but great customer service. The employees here are friendly and helpful.

  • Carole Parkinson

I live in an apartment building and sometimes mail gets put in the wrong box. I just lost a gift card due to this. However when I called, the person was very courteous.

  • oz punk

  • Jane Ferguson

Doing a great job most of the time until I had lost mail after a vacation when mail was on hold... can’t seem to connect with the 800 number process... so convoluted...

  • Carolin Palmer

Your general post office… But: big shout out to Olivia. She’s the best! Helped me with a weird package situation. Super nice and patient throughout the whole process.

  • A Tittle

One carrier in particular there is a disgusting, husband stealing, no moral having skank who I wouldn't trust to pick up dog poop, let alone sort and deliver my mail.

  • M. Bruth

much better than any other post office i’ve been to in portland. the staff is hit or miss, but even at their worst they’re great at their jobs. lines move fast.

  • Rick Felan

What an awesome post office. I love the old look and how they attend to you. I've been to other post offices I. Texas and this one is way way WAY better.

  • ryan millard

My mail is consistently late in getting to me. I've had to cancel my Netflix account because the post office sits on my DVDs for days at a time.

  • Jessica Juday

Never been here, but I tried returning a phone call, and no one ever answers. It rings for a minute, and then I get a fast busy signal.

  • Trish Ann

THIS LOCATION DOES NOT WEAR MASKS and the doorway to enter/exit is not big enough to maintain social distancing.
