Got to the post office at 4:29pm and walked in at 4:30pm. Door was open and I walked in. The black lady with braids that worked today (8/10/2022) was rude as all belief. Yelling across the room in front of all the other customers that "we are closed, you need to come back tomorrow sorry." I responded in disbelief bc I wasn't doing anything but inquiring about a letter that they might have or ask a question about how a letter would be handled. I called 2 hours prior to ask the question over the phone, but nobody answered so I came in. Literally a fast thing. My response was " are you serious?" She responded very unprofessional "I am that serious we are closed, the people with the tie tied shirts are the last ones that came in. You slipped in the door after them. We are closed sorry". Before I could respond back, a manager was at the door. She said she could help me, and looked at me knowing I had nothing in my hands and said did you have any questions? She did help me and was very nice and also apologize for her clerks behavior and I quote " I'm sorry, my clerks had a rough day. I'm sorry she took that out on you." She even felt was I was feeling before I could say anything. I would never deal with that woman or place if she still worked there. That's how bad. I never had to come to that office and honestly I would never want to.

Too bad I’m forced to come here since it’s the only post office within a considerable range of me. The staff is rude and don’t care. The self service machine went down and the manager or boss, whoever was in charge with the keys said, “not my problem. “ when told about it. He said call a technician with no attempt at all to try to fix it in contrast to the only employee pleading to ask him to fix it. It sounded like he was capable by the employee’s tone of voice in the way he asked, but sadly, no intent. Lastly the older lady with blonde hair took care of me and was basically shutting me up at every question or statement I said by saying, “I don’t care.” Once she realized that she had been rude and visibly upset me, until then, she tried to make up for it by putting on her “charm” then belittling herself to try to make up for the offense she caused. Ridiculous. Sadly I wish I could never go back but ya never know because it’s the delivery is great. The people you deal with are not kind at least from last few experiences. FedEx seems more appealing now even though it’s a higher cost. I hope this place changes because right now it’s terrible!

Another brutal experience at this place. Am in a real time crunch to get my mail address changed to a P.O. box. Paid on line and was instructed to come in to finish the process in person. Well I had to drive 30 minutes away from my current address so that was already frustrating. When I finally got to this location the extremely RUDE lady from the back was pretty much shouting at people that she was only assisting call ins and the main part of the office was closed due to computers being down. I tried to ask her a simple question of how I can complete what my task was or what else I could do and all she did is shake her head in disgust that people were actually asking her questions. She abruptly turned 2 more people away and slammed the door in our faces. What a piece of work. I have never had one good experience at this place, from losing packages to not updating my former change of address so I am missing mail and now this. I wish someone with some decency worked here that actually wanted to help people.

Terrifying service, extremely rude employees unwilling to help. What are you guys getting paid for? For the boorish attitude? I am sure they do not intentionally give us our lost letters, although letters from the last address have long been received, and local letters are not delivered to us! Yesterday, a woman working there interfered in our dialogue with another employee who wanted to help us, and she suggested that I calm down and speak more politely when I just said that I wanted to clarify where our important letters that they had lost were!!!! Hey, it seems you need to calm down and be polite! why are you getting into a dialogue that doesn't concern you in any way? We didn't come to your window, and we didn't ask for help from you, because your judgmental look when we entered the department said everything for ourselves! And she also tried to prevent another employee from finding our mails, can you imagine that? This is simply unthinkable! I will try to get you to return our lost letters!

I called the main office because I was having a problem with my package and they told me that it was still at this post office. So I call and call and no one answers, ever. I drive 20 mins to get there and the line is long, and I wait another ten minutes in it. Finally, I try to get help and she asks me what the shipping says. I tell her it says that it's going to be returned but that I called the overhead post office and they told me it was there, and that I was trying to catch it before It left. She wouldn't check the tracking number, she just told me that I was wrong because of what the tracking number said. She acted as if I had wasted her time when I'd taken two minutes from her while I'd been dealing with the post office for an hour. The only person who was nice to me was the woman from overhead , everyone else was rude and unhelpful. I still Don't have my package.

The counter clerks at every window I observed and heard to be Courteous, Patient and Helpful. For the volumes of postal patrons that funnel through that station, the clerks were all - to a person, each and every one - extraordinarily patient, even with occasional disappointed patrons from whatever cause; and further I noticed that they would greet each patron anew, ready to help however they could, from offering optional different classes of mailings at different rates, to answering even the most obtuse of questions. Their countenance the product of both themselves individually, and good management - good management filters down, can be discernable if lacking, and this station with this staff is the happy product of good people in their service to the public. The woman with wide shoulders and grey straight hair is rude and acts like shes doing a favor to the customer. i was tracking my Fedex package and she was not able to track The fedex tracking so she made me call Fedex to get the supposedly correct USPS tracking. Fedex answer was "have your post office clerk type the default 2 digits in front of the Fedex tracking number". So I went back to the counter and gave her what she asked. vOila, she found it on the USPS computer system. How come she doesn't know this simple procedure when Fedex systematically reroutes packages to USPS for delivery? Sheer incompetence or she just wanted to give grief as she was definitely in a bad mood! by the way, this method defeats the expeditious service that Fedex used to provide in the past.

My business just moved to the area. I've been shipping for 20 years. This PO does NOT clear their floor by the end of the day. Of 3 Post Offices over 20 years, this is the first one that does this. I believe this goes against USPS policy. Your non-Priority Mail can sit there for 2-4 days before proceeding to the next destination. This caused my business much trouble (customer complaints, loss of Amazon Prime selling privilege and Ebay Top Rated Seller status) before figuring out the problem. I complained in-person, and two higher-up employees had a lot of words and no answer. I've reported them to the Postal Inspector and will continue to complain until it gets fixed. Until it gets fixed, I have to drive my daily shipments to a different station.

  • Chad Lafferty

Trying to describe my frustration for this post office would take more than one post. First off, their phone is always busy so it is impossible to reach them without actually going into the office. Second, there is always a line and the service is incredibly slow. There were 10 people in line and it took me 45 mins to finally get to the counter. Third, they have repeatedly returned packages back to senders for reasons that still to this day have puzzled myself and the senders. Of course, finding this out takes a trip to their wonderful location. I would give it "0" or negative stars but unfortunately it makes you give at least one in order to post

  • Annie Laure

The problem with this post office isn't the long lines, lack of professional curtesy or even their ineptitude. The real issue this that "management", if you can call them that, doesn't give a rip & that attitude trickles down to the workers. It got so bad I contacted Darrell Stoke, the Postmaster General of Phoenix. Don't waste your time. Apathy seems to be systemic throughout the USPS. Reports for 2018 show the USPS to be running "in the red" for the 12th consecutive year. I do find the Contract Postal Units much better all the way around. I now use the one at 3301 N. 24th St. Nice people, great service & never a problem with package delivery!

  • Charles Parke

Worst Run Post Office I've ever been in My employer had a problem with some mail which had to be resolved at our local post office. After waiting several hours over 3 trips where I was repeatedly insulted we gave up on getting any help from this post office whatsoever. We had to go to another post office and convince them to contact this post office to get them to even look into the problem. We got a few steps forward and were told a manager would look into the matter and get back to us (they never did). We ultimately had to contact USPS at a federal level to get a simple matter that could have been resolved in a few minutes dealt with.

  • Brenda Werner

I wish I had read reviews before using them to send time sensitive SSA documents. I paid for the postage 10.02.19 and they took the envelope; I thought I could trust them to deliver it. Sadly they sent it back to my address even though the envelope was pre-addressed via SSA on the front and back with SSA AL address. 10.7.19 I asked them for help re-sending it on their dime, but Lonnie said no. I asked Lonnie for a grievance form but he said they don't have them, nor was he able to give his last name. If you work for a place and you can't stand behind them by being able to disclose your full name, there's a problem.

  • David Brines

It’s just been a bad experience over the years. They’re lazy on packages never gets uploaded in time and sometimes it can take 3-4days for a package to be uploaded. If it’s even uploaded in Arizona, most of the time it’s not even updated til it hits the other state or another post office. I’m waiting on a package I sent out Monday and it’s still not uploaded. Just a consistent of bad experience here. I watch the counter lady be rude to multiple people on different days. It’s just a joke there, Union workers taking advantage of their positions. Pretty sick honestly.

  • Aya Alkamali

USPS is by far the worst!!!! My package was supposed to be delivered within 5 days and it took 2 months! It had important official documents that were time sensitive and I had to fly to another country to reissue these documents just because of their incompetence. I tried filing a claim but their answer was sorry we can’t help you. This is seriously the worst experience I’ve had in my entire life, I will never ship with them ever again and I will make sure to spread the word everywhere because they simply don’t deserve anyone’s business.

  • Aaron Kuminski

Horrible service!!!!! Told i was taking too long and they have other customers and to come back when its slower. I only talked to them for 7 mins. I Had a package that ended up being undeliverable i didnt get notice till it was too late it was listed in cali and had no options for correction. It went back to china i tried to correct it but it wouldnt let me i didnt get notice for nearly a week it said deliver date as 5 days after its already in cali. No notice on door not info just nothing what happend to those little sticky notes.

  • O'Zandra

This is one of the better USPS facilities. After several failed attempts, I vowed not to send big packages using the USPS. They are horrible, no matter what location you used to drop off your packages that cannot be sent using priority shipping...they are horrible at getting the package there on time and intact. However, I will send letters, priority mail, purchase stamps (yes, I need a stamp now and again), etc. This location have friendly staff. The lines move fairly quickly. Better service, then other locations.

  • Alvin Huff

If I could give negative stars I would. Upon receiving an email that my package was undeliverable. I immediately called and requested through the automated voice system that they hold it. I tried to call them to verify that they had the package, but NO ONE ANSWERS THE PHONE. I drove down to the post office to find out that they had already sent it back. They had "attempted delivery once the previous evening. I got there at 11:30 the next day and they had sent it back. UPS or FEDEX if you want dependable

  • Ronnie Dylan

I have a PO Box with this branch, unfortunately. They consistently fail to sort my packages from Amazon or private individuals even after official USPS Tracking CONFIRMS that the package was delivered. It usually takes them a WEEK to sort it into my box after it has been delivered to their facility. A few times they have actually put the notice of parcel arrived and when they go to retrieve it they cannot find it. I have questioned them about this and they become defensive.

  • J Hernandez

They’re rude for absolutely no reason. The guy at the counter didn’t even say hi. He just looked at me like I was dumb from jump. I said “HI!” I then had to go to the back because I had to buy a new package. Went up to an employee who was sitting behind the desk (not doing anything) and asked her if they provide tape so I can tape my Label on. She didn’t even look at me and said “no” with rudeness. We would all rather be somewhere else but get it together.

  • Steve Chambers

Absolutely the worst post office you might need to visit. They take breaks with a full line going out the door and conduct business without so much as a smile. Every employee at the counter has a look on their face like they hate their jobs. Very unfortunate we have a post office like this in such a beautiful area of Phoenix. The post office on 8th Street and Highland which closed a number of years ago was so much more friendly and efficient. Sad.

  • Irena Milanovic

Stopped by to pick up my mail. Provided the slip and ID and received a bucket full of someone else's mail. I didn't realize until I got home and started to look through my mail. As such, I waited outside for the postman to arrive to return the mail back to the postal office, however the guy refused to take it and instead told me to just leave it in front of my door. I told him that would be risky but he refused to take it.

  • Fred Jacobsen

Constantly understaffed, front line employees r great, management walks around in a haze during a rush. And no one jumps in to help. Very sad this is still an ongoing issue at this location. Terrible business practices. During a 2pm rush. Only I person behind the counter, man gage is aware and no action with a line out the door literally. At least 25 people - lost count of customers walking out. . Pic taken at 250 pm.

  • Robert Spencer

The worst service ever can’t get them to answer the phone, they have lost my package once again, that is three I’m a row they have messed up and after today I will not ship or have anything delivered form USPS. You call the 1800 number they can’t help you. You call this office and it just rings and rings been trying to call for over an hour!!! What do they care I guess it shows how bad they really are.

  • Helia Hagh Mohammadi

They are the worst! We sent international package contain important documents using the international priority express mail. It supposed to deliver in 3 to 5 business days for an important meeting. It never delivered and after 32 days no one know where the hell is my documents. I asked them to send it back to sender address but they never did. I'm so regret that I used USPS instead of DHL or UPS.

  • Lindsey Miller

“Karen” behind the counter needs to slow her roll. She spoke so fast, I couldn’t understand her. Then she sends me to a kiosk to fill out a label for my package, and she’s barking orders at me from across the post office. Lady, a simple, “There are white labels in the middle that you can fill out” Instead of screaming MIDDLE, MIDDLE, MIDDLE! Once I found the label, I left and went to FedEx. :)

  • MaryAnn Keyser

I was having trouble getting some mail delivered that I had been waiting for from the sender for almost a month. I received a notification that this piece of mail would be delivered on a Saturday, but I still hadn't seen it in my mailbox 2 business days later. I went in person to check if they had it, and fortunately they did! I'm so thankful for the staff here who helped me get my mail!

  • Deborah M onroe

Was having trouble with my mail being forwarded to new address for 5 months.I was there so much trying to get it fixed, everyone knew me by name. Let me say "KUDOS" to all the staff. They worked until it finally got fixed, and each time I came in the same smiling faces, we would joke about it, but they never gave up and yes it is finally fixed ! Thank you you guys are the best !!

  • gab rod

After waiting in line for 15 to 20 minutes I was turned away because I didn’t have shipping tape. I never had this issue since I was using the USPS flat rate box. The clerk was very rude White male between 40 to 50 years of age . This happen 7/7/20 around 12:30-50 pm . At the North East PHX post office. Drove to the next nearest post office and we had no issues.

  • Bonnie Cliff

We arrived at the Post Office on 20th Street and Camelback on Sunday morning to be greeted by the lovely Taniya. She was working this special hour workday for the Christmas rush. This is our favorite post office in Phoenix. It's been so busy at times but the clerks are friendly and helpful. This is the best way to get our postal needs met. Thank you 20th Street.

  • Leslie Araujo

The most helpful post office staff I've ever encountered. :) I was there packing items with the priority boxes they have available, and everyone was so kind and helpful. I was there about 30 minutes before lunch time on a Thursday, so I was also surprised at how short the line was. Thank you to the staff for making my trip to the post office a good one.

  • Stardom Villas

The worker whose name Richard is a very unprofessional and unhelpful . I usually send a certified letters and was never asked to stick the form on an envelope. He stick the form even on a wrong place. Hope the management will pay attention to the stuff and teach them how to be helpful. Look like he doesn’t want to do his responsibilities.

  • Linda Lorayne Perez

I don't know what they do at this post office that their phone is busy all day long. Then there is that clerk, female, that is very unprofessional as well as rude. I did speak to a gentleman that was helpful but I can't get through to find a certified letter that is still in limbo as they have not updated any info on this item.

  • Kathryn M.

They recently moved the drive-by mail box too far over. I have to get out of my vehicle and stall the other cars behind me. This wasn't the case a few months ago. Please consider moving the mail slot bins closer. To end on a positive note; I do appreciate the new metal chains in the opening. I hope it'll prevent mail stealing.

  • Scott Altemus

They close at 4:28...so don't be late! Plus, Big Bertha with the straight shoulder length gray hair has an internal power struggle that she projects onto the customers. If you're lucky enough, you'll get tired of waiting and leave before you have to deal with that woman. That is an assumption; she may or may not be a woman.

  • Seven Tomek

This is easily the least helpful post office I've ever been to. The women working were incredibly rude and provided terrible customer service. They sent me to the back of the (lengthy) line twice without giving me any information trying to mail a package while i was holding an infant and package. I'm beyond frustrated.

  • Sara Carlile

I stopped in and asked a simple question about a letter I was sending and it was closing time. Apparently they are only open until 4:30 not until 5. She was very rude with her response. I’m another person, she could have just been decent. I will definitely go out if my way to go to a different post office next time.

  • Luis Neira

One star is too many, I had to be in line 45 minutes to mail a letter, it was lunch time and it was pack every body run to the post office at their lunch break, but the employees give a f... about the customers. Only one station out of six, go is managing this place? It looks like no body. Good work keep it up

  • MICHAEL GEER

The lady I encountered behind the counter was polite but not friendly and ultimately, not helpful. All I needed from her was a few strips of packing tape to close the box and affix the mailing label but she refused. She told me I had to buy a roll of tape for $5.00, so I walked out without mailing my package.

  • Jasmine River

The two employees were not helpful, they just had attitude when I just wanted to check my packages in due to them being priority mail and they told me no to do it in the self check one because they were busy but they weren’t even busy so rude you guys need new employees to actually help out

  • Lori Diab

DO NOT USE THE LOBBY BIG BLUE BOX FOR PACKAGES! Packages were getting stuck and boxes were crushed. I think when it gets full there is a problem. This happened a hour after closing. Does anyone check the box? Any after hours number for help I will use UPS from now on, worst experience.

  • PreciousBlack Stone

The staff at this post office have very nasty attitudes especially towards the Black people that come in there for service. Very sad and don't apologize for the wait to the people standing behind the person you just helped! That's rude and shaming. Everyone has to wait, no apology needed.

  • Angela Austin (Anjila)

The supervisor at this location Jason is very friendly, helpful, and reliable! However, the mail carriers that work out of here have a tendency to mix up packages on their deliveries. It’s happened about 3 times for me, but this office does try its very best to correct any mistakes.

  • Joseph Assaf

They completely stole my package that was supposed to be shipped. I have the tracking number and all they say we are not sure where it is. Don’t trust this place, literally thieves. It shows the package was still in Phoenix but they said can”t find it. Good job on taking i watch 3.

  • Missy Downer

Staff are always friendly and helpful. With the virus, expect long lines and to possibly wait outside :-/. I know you can print labels and stuff on your own though. I’m not sure about packages, but I know you can skip the line by mailing letters into the mail drop off area.

  • Jessica Walter

I've called three times with nothing but a busy signal. I tried calling 6 other locations and either received the same busy signal or it just rang and rang. This is the most frustrating experience I've ever had! I ended up calling the main USPS line and filed a complaint.

  • Riley Golke

DO NOT USE THIS POST OFFICE ! They are the worst. They take 2-3 days to scan in a package that is dropped off, they are late to pick up the drop off packages. This post office has caused so many problems for myself and my small business because of their negligence.

  • Nova Yeung

I needed to go this office very often for business mailing. Officer Shanelle Anderson is really helpful . She is always always nice and friendly to handle every people correctly with tremendous patience. Greatest officer in that office, we all love her!!!

  • J J

If I could put no stars I would. The workers I experienced today were Garbage, talked down to me and were very disrespectful. They don't think people will stand up for themselves but I did today! I am filing a complaint with the postal inspector.

  • Edward Anthony

I've been getting packages here for 2 years and it has gotten so bad I can't use this po any more They sign and receive packages then can't find them The manager Amy Longoria is completely incompetent. Also had credit card stolen and used by them

  • Greg

I haven’t been able to receive my mail for two weeks. Do yourself a favor, get a P.O. Box and don’t waste your time here. To usps: Do your job folks. Figure it out. When somebody brings you an official change of address you should have an answer.

  • dean spersrud

Four visits with staff and managers and mail to my CORRECT address is still returned to sender as undeliverable! Also indicated upon delivery check that a parcel delivery was attempted (it was not) and that a notice had been left (it was not).

  • M D

Has to be one of the worst post offices in Phoenix. They regularly mis-deliver, lose and/or steal our mail. No ramifications or care given by management. Perfect example of the worst kind of government service.

  • Chad Michael Lawson

This is the typical Post Office experience: employees courteous enough but not extra courteous & get the job done, lines that don’t move very fast when there are lines, and general drab sort of feel.

  • Leo Gottlieb

If I could give this place a NEGITIVE star review, They definitely deserve a NEGITIVE 5 STAR'S AND BEYOND ALL ROUND MINUS 5 STAR'S. Don't waste your time. Do yourself a favor don't go there.

  • K. S.

I am glad they had a self service kiosk!!! It is not a huge location, but they have drive up mailboxes and the counter service can get busy, but it looks like they move pretty fast.

  • Heathre Hardin

Huge lines so i used the kiosk for priority mailing. The kiosk was acting up but i finally got postage. Then the mailing box wouldnt open so i had to stand in line anyway. Stupid.

  • Joe Boss

I hate going to this post office! It's not the service, it's the location. I have yet to experience the negative side of customer service but if I do, I'll post another comment.

  • Kristina Franseen

Friendly staff but they lied about having my mail, this also happened with someone else at the same apartment complex. Now I have to go back again and see a supervisor

  • E Blanding

Very rude employees. The customers that use it are excellent and very considerate. The employees are inconsiderate, rude and remind me of the worst Walmart cashiers.

  • Quomodo Q

They lost my mail and got upset because I asked why. I can understand not knowing but trying to act knowledgeable while explaining you don’t know is irresponsible

  • Chris Smith

(Not me) Customer:(after waiting for answer) “Have the manager call me please” Employee: “She won’t” Looks like they need a new manager. Women seems pleasant

  • Dena Valimont

Postal delivery for 4316 North 27 th st. We have not been getting our grocery ads for 2 weeks. Our postman has not delivered them. Please check this out

  • Mark Loberg

The people at the Van Buren station are the best. Always very polite and helpful. Now, if they'd just bring back the later closing times...

  • Vincent Facchiano

Bought a box that they sold to someone else took 6 months to resolve. Poor management. Do yourself a favor and drive to another location.

  • HMP D

Really for the holiday, it wasn't anymore crowded than usual, and the patience and grace exhibited by the employees is appreciated.

  • Jessica Leo

Extremely rude customer service, not to mention this location has lost several pieces of our mail in the past. Do NOT recommend.

  • tainlor

Extremely rude customer service. short on supplies for customers needs. Go somewhere else if you want better service/needs.

  • Max Davis

on hold for an hour...and still going. not even an option for a call back. They will let it ring until you hang up.

  • Dustin

Vicki was surly and rude and very impatient. Childish behavior for a woman her age. Terrible customer service.

  • Dave Hatton

Excellent, customer-friendly service and a smile (I could tell through the mask!) This is my new post office.

  • stephanie renee

Eric is very very helpful wonderful customer service would recommend this post office just because of him! :)

  • Vera Sampler

Why can't i ever reach someone at this office? We don't have the overload amount of mail these days. Come on

  • Bear S

Your automated service is horrible! Why aren’t there any live people to talk to? Worst service ever! …

  • Robbie S

Absolutely the worst woman working at this post office behind the counter! Rude and completely unhelpful.

  • Cole Rhodes

Rude. Open but was unable to process a money order because some keys were not on site.
