We hired the Avan 499 Ensuite Pop up for 3 months to travel round the eastern half of Australia in 2022. Before the trip, Tash and Ryan were very helpful and full of good bits of advice as to what setup would work best and what we'd need. During the trip they were available on the few times we needed them. Ryan showed great patience in re-explaining to me a couple of things I'd forgotten from the handover when Tash took us through everything :-). My tip is - don't be afraid to take notes during the handover - there is a good manual onboard but it's never bad to take your own notes so you know what you mean. The caravan itself was perfect for our needs. We drive a city SUV, not one of these big 4wd types, so a van that was light enough for our little car to comfortably tow was paramount; the Avan 499 weighed just over 1600kg with a towball weight of 110kg, so was perfect for our towing vehicle. In addition, by not being one of the monster rigs you see around, you can more easily squeeze into your parking spot, or turn around if you accidentally mis-read your GPS and go down a road with no proper turn-around. It has all you need for extended stays with different facilities available. The onboard shower & toilet were great for allowing us to stay in places without decent amenities, and similarly the kitchen (3 burner hob, microwave, decent sized fridge & sink) was great for where there weren't decent kitchen facilities. In our case we cooked the majority of the time in the caravan, even when we had camp kitchen facilities nearby. We are a family of 3 (2 adults, 1 child) and I would suggest a family of 4 (depending on how big the kids are) would be a sensible maximum before you need to think about some sleeping on swags outside etc. There is plenty of space to store things and yes while undoubtedly cosy, if you don't have the big powerful towing setup a lot of people have this caravan is spot on for being able to get away in comfort.

Utow's Tash and Ryan really made our first caravanning experience a positive and successful one. Immaculate van was provided with a comprehensive handover session so we left feeling confident we could handle both driving and setup at our destinations. That proved to be the case and the next two weeks and 2700km were wonderful staying in both caravan parks and free camping in exquisite locations in Western Victoria. Getting to the remote SE South Australian coast was a highlight and we were able to happily go to these new locations knowing we were able to stop and enjoy the sites at our own pace. Caravanning via Utow is quite an eye-opener and excites us for future adventures.

We hired the 2018 Avan Aspire 402. As a first time caravan hirer/user, These guys completely blew my expectations right out the water!!! I went on a Monday to see their different caravans they had to offer and towed away same week Friday for a short weekend camping trip. Tash was super friendly, kind and very flexible. The caravan itself was so beautiful, modern and super clean! Being a powered campsite, I had the privilege of using every appliance onboard including the heater during them cold spring nights. We hired an Aspire 555-1 last weekend to head off for a long weekend with friends (who all have large Vans). From the get-go, Tash was incredibly helpful - nothing was a problem. She explained everything brilliantly - the Van was immaculate and the bed super comfy and warm : everything we needed was also included ! The Van towed really well behind the Ranger (so my husband said) and Tash went the extra by providing a more suitable towball for a smoother, safer ride (ours was too high). We rented a caravan for a recent trip, having Utow deliver and set the van up on site for us. Everything went smoothly, the van - near-new and spotlessly clean - was ready for us to walk in and relax. We rented the Aliner from U-Tow as part of our van purchase research process. The aliner was in great condition and it had everything we needed for a few nights camping. It was very easy to tow, set-up and pack down. It fitted well in our garage so we now know it is a great option for us. Had a fabulous time away hiring the Aline caravan from Utow Caravans. The caravan was very well set up with everything you need in it which made it easy to pack. We hired a small caravan for the week and had an awesome time. Utow were warm and friendly to deal with, we extended our time and that all flowed easily. We went along the south coast to Wilson's Prom and then up to the Tarra Bulga National Park - SO beautiful is our land here in Victoria, being in a caravan allows you to see in a slower more connected way.
