I'd give a negative 5 if I was able to. I had 13 years of Medical records which they refused to even look at papers that stacked together are the size of a Library dictionary. Their brilliant reply? I could've written them. Sure I have my own EKG machine, & MRI machine since 1998. I had the records from the actual MRI'S as well as my Dr of 35 years. Also one of the top rated Neurologist's in the Valley. His receipts & diagnoses, over at least a decade. Yet they refused to even look at them. In 6 days I was given 3 meals, though a Dr pushed one away so she could talk to me. Each time they lifted my orders of nothing by mouth, even though it was Memorial day weekend & the chances of me getting to the top of the list we're close to zero. When they did the cafeteria was only open for 90 minutes to 2 hours, after which there was no vending machines anywhere. The last meal was the day I was leaving, breakfast. If they'd told me it'd be almost 5 pm I'd have eaten lunch, but nothing was shared with me. I didn't sleep for 5 days, had a migraine the entire time, & after being on pain medication since cancer & year long treatment, they put me into withdrawals on top of everything else. I've also had 5 kidney stones & only being allowed to drink 3 1/2 hours over 5 days, either I've gone into kidney failure, or I got a parting gift, a new kidney stone. I'd gone 21 years since the last 3, 2 of which are very large & aren't supposed to be able to move. I ended up with a live & kidney regular & bacterial infections in both, as if what I've had since 1991. Disabled officially since 95 in reality 93 during a toxic dose of Interferon, 6 shots a week for a year. I had to go back to my very expensive Dr using a Concierge program at $175 a month before I even saw him, to get anything close to the level of my constant pain. I've gone 3 days without sleep, but never er 5. To give you an idea how wicked they are. Even if you're bleeding profusely I'd drive or walk to another hospital before ever walking foot inside their horror show of a hospital. They deal with addicts & treat everyone as if they were an addict. I'd been on the same dose over 13 years, which should prove I am not an addict. But they'll treat you as one of you've got any pain or medications used to treat pain. So do yourself a favor slap yourself, call yourself an addict & go to a real hospital run don't walk as far & as fast as you can from this hospital of horror. Or bring your own drinks, food & medications if you've got to go there. Or better yet change your insurance & go elsewhere. I've left a temporary stint in over a year rather than ever return there. That should tell you all you need to know about this wicked place.

I'm not sure what school these nurses went to, and I can honestly say not all of them where bad, however the two that I had today Need a refresher course in professionalism. I stayed at this hospital for 8 hours the first nurse introduced herself and then disappeared once they got me in my "holding space" not a room the second nurse came by I couldn't tell you her name because she didn't introduce herself nor did she check in on me. This evening the doctor told me I was being discharged so I went ahead and made arrangements to be picked up. My Uber was 10 minutes away. I had to yell for a nurse, because I had no call light, I gotten no response. So I got out of bed and walked to the nurse station. Where 10 nurses where giggling and having various conversations about everything else except the patients! I very kindly spoke with the nurse and tried to advise my ride was in route, but she didn't allow me to finish my sentence before she rudely interrupted me then proceeded to say let her finish with "her patient" and then she will discharge me . Mind you I was there long before the new patient came in.. She didn't have to discharge me I discharged myself. They had me beside a gentleman with possible drug OD who was extremely loud, yelling, talking out of context, officers where surrounding him it was a complete zoo! This man should have been in a room alone not in the same area as others. I could hear all of his reasons for tlbeing there. That's a HIPPA violation! At no point should anyone be able to hear anyone medical history, nor the reason why they are being hospitalized. I have never felt so out of place and disrespected in life. Please get some professionalism about yourselves! You have people lives in your hands, and that is not the right way to speak with anyone, nor treat anyone! I will never go back to this hospital! I walked out of there in the same pain I came in there with. I just literally wasted 8 hours of my life that I can't get back! Thank you to the sweet nurse, and students that put my IV in, and a huge thank you to the young man that is in the Air Force assisting with patients as well..

Worst medical care I have experienced anywhere in the country! Everything takes forever! They don't seem to care about the patients well being whatsoever. My father has been in the emergency room now for 24 hours and they were supposed to be moving him to a room over 16 hours ago... Still in emergency... That is completely unacceptable. You can't tell me a room hasn't become available from 4am until 9pm this evening! I have had many issues here myself. They just don't care. GO TO ST. LUKES or Mayo or anywhere but here! Especially if your life depends on it! I'd love to take part in a class action lawsuit. And if anything happens to my father best believe I will start one! The way they treat patients is unacceptable! They will not give me any info over the phone, even though I am his next of kin and emergency contact. So I have had to walk down there 3 times (I am disabled myself) and I get there and they have taken him for an MRI or some other procedure. I CAN NOT BE WALKING BACK AND FORTH AND WITH NO INFORMATION I HAVE NO OTHER OPTION! Screw this place! I am beyond tired of the junk medical care in this country! It's the worst in all the developed nations and getting worse everyday! I am just furious!

Boy oh boy. I have BCBS, pretty good insurance. These people are in network. Now I’m a young adult, so I was rushed into getting a primary care doctor when I just needed an appointment for a heart murmur. This is where it all started. This company simply refuses to give itemized bills. Upon getting forced into a primary care doctor because they would not respect my decision, I received a bill a month later saying I owed them $207. I asked for an itemized bill. No response. I called my insurance, they said Valleywise put the code for something in incorrectly. So I called to sort it out. The coding department did not fix this situation, and despite being told they would put my bill on hold and speak with my insurance they did nothing, and sent me another bill only this time it was $247. They charged me a deductible twice for one appointment and never corrected it. I called to figure it out and still was met with no real answer. I was told “there’s no notes, it doesn’t say who treated you, it doesn’t say what this is for, we can’t give you an itemized bill” so I moved to dispute the bill merely because I’m a college kid and it shouldn’t be that much for two veils of blood being taken. This dispute did nothing. I can’t get a professional answer or any information I ask for. It has been three months. Still no response. They just keep sending the bill.

I have never felt more comfortable in my life at a hospital. I'm so thankful for Alexandra (PA), Lauren, Brandon, Laura, Marissa and Shelby for being family acting fast, the compassion and honesty is well appreciated. You guys are so wonderful and I pray god blesses you, your family's and careers!!! Valleywise better recognize!! Update: the smiles are fake my leg was infected so I returned got put in a room then moved to the hallway because someone another patient was dying is what Louise said. Two hours later no pain meds, no I.v. antibiotics i decided it would be best i leave. A pt. Taunted me provoked me and lied to security and said I hit him. Security beat me up, reopened my wounds and lied to the police said I hit them with a cain.. worse place ever. I could NOT breathe, the officer bent my 2nd degree burnt finger back and tried to break it. The same finger was stepped on. They took my dressing so I can't even clean my wounds. I have video and pictures. Hospital cameras will back up what I'm saying. The patients in the waiting room were also recording because they didn't like the treatment. I was scared to leave with blood pressure 200/100. This situation could of been avoided with some compassion, patience and a listening ear. All I wanted was paperwork to take to the next hospital. Now I need an attorney!!

Recently I brought my mom in to the Emergency Dept. At the Maryvale location, they took my mom immediately, after a few hours they let me know that she would be transferred to the Main campus, once she was transferred I was notified with complete information the nurse was so nice n polite. A few hours later I was informed my mom had covid but was doing well, she was on oxygen, gave me a status report on her..over the next few days the staff was so helpful..more helpful and caring then Banner. On the day of the release everyone from security to the guy at information desk to pharmacy everyone was phenomenal, they really care about the patients, no one sounds like they hate their job. Everyone is polite, helpful and has a smile on their face. Completely better experience then we've had with Banner,...at Banner estrella I was basically kicked out of the ER when I brought my mom in 6months ago n waited 7hrs before I got any information on what was going on with my mom, the staff at Banner is never pleasant n they all have attitudes ...ValleyWise is our choice from now on for all of our Emergency needs.. I WANT TO THANK THE ENTIRE STAFF, ESPECIALLY THE NURSES N DOCTORS CNA'S WHO TOOK CARE OF MY MOM ON THE 3RD FLOOR COVID PATIENTS LAST WEEK...YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST

Had a terrible experience with the staff in the internal medicine dept. I was running late a few mins - I don't drive, and public transport was moving slower than usual. I called the practice to inform them about this. After arriving, I went directly to the front desk, where I was asked, not once, not twice, but three times if I was a worker of a sector that's associated with illegal workers. I responded three times that I wasn't working there. I was asked how I managed to have the type of health insurance I have. Who was paying for my HI? Name and contact info of my employer?? It was not so much the questions but the realisation (after a while) that I was being discriminated against. No human deserves to be mistreated, and honestly, if they were so sure about their assumptions, they could have just told me earlier that they would not see me. In fact, I wasn't seen by the doctor and was only notified of this after the long line of questioning I was put through. Definitely, looking for a different practice because if this is how they treat people, I want nothing to do with them.

It's sad I have to give one star although some staff members were nice. I was given the wrong person's prescription paper when sent home they gave me paperwork on a different child I didn't know which goes against their HIPPA VIOLATION! When I called to speak with someone name Amy about the situation she told me they didn't prescribe a prescription to my child cause I can buy that in store, which I have insurance to cover medication I ended the call with her called back and spoke with a supervisor who ended up hanging up on me so I called back and spoke with the house manager and he promised to get everything situated and would call back I never heard back from him and my child never got their prescription filled. Not only did they give me attitude over the phone they gave me someone else's child information which has a home address phone weight height and D.O.B I can only wonder if they same happened with my child's information.Im hoping someone who is high up can reach out to me as no one has taken this situation seriously.

Whenever I need to bring my son to the ER this is the first place I bring him to. The most I've waited was roughly 10 minutes. They always take him in for his vitals real fast and is seen real fast too. There has been times when we wait a while to get discharge and our prescription at the end. Our last visit here my son had an asthma attack and the nurses and doctors here were in our room every 5 minutes checking on him. He had to stay a couple of days in the PICU and the nurses there were great as well. When they moved him to a regular room the nurse who was in charge was super nice to him and so attentive. They gave him toys they took him to a play area and had a clown visit him. I can not express how well our experience went for us. They made sure my son was well enough to go back home. Regardless of the pokes and yucky medicine my son said he receive he always says he wants to go back to see the nice people at this hospital. If i could remember all the names I would name them all, thanks for the awesome care!!

this place sucks. roosevelt location. parking is such a mess. not enough light. not enough parking. parking is a mile away from entrance. people with walking or breathing problems will have to walk very far from parking to door. right next to jail and state mental hospital. so alot of scary individuals in this place. sherriff vehicles parked outside alot for god knows what reason. only roosevelt does specialty. pulmonology does not return phone calls, denies prescribed meds refills for no reason. does not answer online system even though it is a simple request. i had an appt 2mo ago. was prescribed asthma meds with no change but doc nor staff called my pharm to fill scripts. when pharm requested refill was somehow denied. i have repeatedly reached out to pulmonology for refills with no response. will deff be leaving this place and complaining to my insurance carrier. all responses from valleywise are "call us". i have been calling you and getting no where.

Labor & Delivery Team was excellent!!! They never left me alone & kept checking on me for 3hrs I was in labor. ER Team took me immediately to Triage & I was roomed quickly. The delivery team left me in tears of joy with their help! Postpartum nurses were wonderful! One downfall was the double rooms. My husband & didn't have privacy. We had night battles with the lights. The person next door complained about the things I wanted on & about the room temp I was comfortable with. Another problem for me is that they didn't have a shower for my husband, who was staying with me. After not showering for 2-3days for him, we got discharged. 3rd child & I've never experienced the room sharing or shower problem with a hospital. It felt very unwelcoming to rest in postpartum dept. The food was horrible. Most hospitals offer first celebratory meals to couples in past places I've delivered. We didn't get anything, just a small slice of cheese cake. Lol.

My daughter was T-boned and she waited in the hallway for more than 5 hours before receiving the bloodwork and scan results from us rather than the professionals treating her. Waited an additional hour for dr to release her. That wait time is deplorable. The individuals at the front desk gave us attitude telling us it is a hospital and these wait times are normal. We had 5 family members waiting in the cramped, filthy waiting area the entire time and we had to ask for updates in order to provide them to our daughter waiting in the hallway. So dirty that I wanted to take a shower in sanitizer. I went to help my 81 year mother to restroom and an individual appeared to be doing drugs and forgot to lock the door. Absolutely ridiculous! You are more likely to get more sick than when you arrived while waiting in ER waiting area. To the front desk employee, you are correct, this is a hospital so you should be professional at ALL times.

Valleywise Health has one of the nicest helpful staff! I went into the ER and was greeted with what I could tell with smiles behind there masks. They got my information and vitals quickly and amazed that there was no waiting at all to be seen by a doctor. They ran test and x-rays and within an hour or so was admitted to the hospital and was on my way to my room. The nurses and doctors were so nice and expressed their concerns and informed me all recommendations in regular language and not all the medical mombojumbo. I felt like they really cared about my care. The nursing staff was very professional and made me feel like I was a part of their family. I have been to Banner Helth and Honor Health Hospitals and hope I never get taken to those hospitals. If I ever have to go to a hospital again I will make sure I am brought to Valleywise Health. I think Valleywise Health is the best in the Valley by far.

I have severe nerve damage to my head and face post skiing accident. I have been treated with injections, medications, ect. I am permanently disabled because of it. I have been sick for years before Covid, 2014 specifically. Valleywise Health Neurology department refused to see me because of my disability! My neuralgia is severe and chronic. My Neurologist in Massachusetts has all the medical documents and he is willing to talk to the doctors here about my condition. I cannot wear a mask. The pain in my head and face does not go away when the mask is removed. Wearing a mask results in me needing nerve blocks and steroids to stop the debilitating pain. Any neurologist would understand. It's just getting past the nurses and receptionist that keep refusing me treatment. You should be ashamed to refuse such a sick person. CDC guidelines even states that some people cannot wear a mask. Sad

Worked in the burn center for a little bit, which I was super excited about because I did my clinicals there but it was not what I thought it would be. From the bullying, to the racism, to the unjust supervisor, petty co-workers-it is not the place to work. Then, from the point of view as a patient, I discovered the nurses & staff there will say and do the most disgusting things when they think a patient is totally unconscious. I was left exposed because the 3 staff members didn't have all the supplies needed to straight cath me. As a nurse, patient dignity is a big deal to me and it was obvious these workers didn't know anything about that. I don't recommend this hospital as a good place to work or to be a patient at. And yes, I did report my experience there as a patient and of course that's when the supervisor started picking on me. Coincidence? I think not.

I am so grateful for the care that I have received during my 3 day stay in the hospital back in November when I delivered my first newborn. Grateful for everyone who helped. But I do have a comment about one thing I do not like. (Sending medical records to the hospital and I just now remembered this) The day my daughter was born, the nurse told me to be quiet. “Shh no noise”. Not once did I scream, moan or yell during the 3 hours of pushing. I noticed the nurse when counting to 10 (to help hold your breath when pushing) was extending the time, I needed to breathe and exhaled and made a noise. Not once was I loud. But she told me “Shh no noise”. The 4 stars are for everyone who helped in the process of delivering my daughter, from checking in, and with them helping me down to my ride. But that nurse was the one bad experience there.

  • Susan Weber

I hate valley wise hospital and clinics and especially the medical records department! First of all, I was seeing the same doctor for 2 years and all of sudden,I was told that she doesn't take my insurance anymore! Secondly, I called yesterday and I asked about my medical records and the one lady told me that I could email and she would send it back to my doctor with my information! So then the nasty lady said she told you wrong! Her name is Brenda! I told her that if I was dying that I will die first before I go back to that hospital/clinic! I don't understand how one lady can tell u something and this nasty Brenda tells u something else! Secondly NOT EVERYONE HAS A COMPUTER AND A PRINTER TO DO EVERYTHING! WE ARE NO MADE OF MONEY! So not everyone can print and sign and send it back to Me. NASTY BRENDA!

  • Getsemani P

Nurses and Doctors are extremely rude. Before my uncle passed away, he would call us and tell us he was fine but throughout the time he was there, all of his organs stopped working and when he passed away we needed all of his belongings. When we received them, his phone wasn’t there. They never gave us his phone back. They were so rude to us. The doctors would tell us “he’s practically dead, the only reason he’s alive is because of all of the machines he has connected to him”. Then my dad had asked if we could go see him and they said if it’s to disconnect him then yes and my dad obviously said no because why would he want to disconnect his brother and they said then you can’t come see him. PLEASE I’m BEGGING, don’t take your loved ones to this hospital because they’ll never come out of there.

  • Elle Lin

I decided to go in and at this point my throat is burning so bad I can barely swallow. The process was quick everybody was pretty nice to me except for the last lady and maybe she was frustrated with me because I told her the visit was pointless but they literally prescribe me something that I was already doing for myself over the counter the last couple of days. Told me to sign in online to look at my results when they could’ve just told me and said that even if I was positive for Covid which I’m not the prescriptions would still remain the same so I basically went in for them to do something that I had already been doing for myself a waste of time I could’ve been at home in bed taking care of myself

  • Brittany Morales

When ever you go into the ER depending on what you are going for… expect to wait at least 2 hours. I’ve delivered my daughter here May 12 2019 and it was the best experience. I since then brought my daughter to be checked and recently just came in for abdominal pain and found out I have a cyst in my left ovary. I just want to thank everyone working hard and doing the best they can here at this facility. Both times I waited about 3-4 hours .. BUT I was cared for in the best way and left feeling relieved. I feel like everyone took into consideration my issues and moved onto the next best step for my health. I am grateful for my government insurance and my experience here in Arizona! THANK YOU ALL!

  • Sheena Lee Quinones

This has been by far the worst experience of emergency room of my life. The only good thing about this place was the check in girl. She was very kind and quick. Waiting room was dirty, and the vitals nurse was the most rude health care worker ive encountered. This lady with red curly hair was being mean to us and other patients. 0 compassion or work ethic. There were also people that didnt know english well and she was not explaining enough to them what they needed to do. Someone send her to work behind a desk, in a room where she has no one around her. She obviously is horrible at being a caregiver… no one wants to go to an emergency room in pain to be yelled at

  • Stephanie Thompson

I am truly surprised with the negative reviews. I have been to their ER multiple times for chronic kidney infections and stones. Every time I have been treated with dignity and kindness. I had very little wait time in fact most times I was taken back to a room immediately. The only issue I had was having to wait for the Doctor to ultrasound me for an iv . I have small and deep veins and the nurses don't do ultrasounds so I had to wait a while for a doctor. Once they had an IV in me they quickly came in with medications. The nurses always came in to check on me as well. I am greatful for the staff and appreciate the care I have always received there.

  • S D

Never ever again will we go to this ER. We had someone who has cancer and can't have radiation to their head. A CT adamantly refused to use a lead apron over the patient head to protect them even after the doctor and the supervision doctor flat out told the CT tech it as a life threatening issue. We went through the channels trying to get help. Even tried calling to speak to someone in the administration department but after 10 attempts with that were told each time we could not be connected there and there was no time to leave a message at the line they wanted to connect us to that would supposedly be returned in 48 hours. What a joke of a hospital

  • Dale Owens

Was told to show up at 9:30 for surgery, my wife didn't get into surgery until 1 pm. I went to the waiting room because I was not told that I could not, I figured that is why it is called a "waiting room". Then a very rude nurse came in and told the three of us in there, all waiting for different people, that we had to leave or they would call security to make us leave. This was not a good experience. I felt bad for one of the others in the waiting room because she was visibly shaken, probably due to her loved one being operated on. I ended up driving an hour to go home an wait for a call so I can drive an hour back to pick up my wife.

  • Stephanie Campas

We recently visited the burn unit in this hospital. I was pleasantly surprised at how friendly the staff are. I was greeted when I walked in, I came in the wrong way though and the lady up front walked us all the way to the burn unit. I was checked in and given a room immediately, our nurses name was Van and she was absolutely amazing. My 3 year old had burned his hand and she explained everything that she was doing and why she was doing it. Her instructions were clear and she answered all my questions. She even walked us all the way to the correct exit so I didn’t get lost. I’m so grateful for the doctors and nurses we saw today!

We start our journey with high risk pregnancy, we got good attention and care from Dr Linda Chambles with fully experience, we passed the high risk and moved to the Nicu which is more than awesome, feel like home with a lot of attention from Dr Anderson. They give us a lot of confidence and we would never leave our baby at the nicu and go home if we don’t feel comfortable, big thanks for nurses Donelle, Sam , Maria , Barbara, actually all nurses are more than amazing, hands up and I recommend every pregnant woman to deliver her baby at valleywise center. Thanks again for everyone for making our dream become true. ❤️❤️

  • Susan Evans

They basically killed my friend. She went in 5 days prior to being admitted they sent her home. One smart nurse admitted her, she couldn't talk or walk 50% oxygen. They waited too long and because they sent her home she was too weak to fight and passed away two nights ago. Her teenage daughter went to get her belongings and I heard the nurse say "have a good night" like the teenagers ONLY parent had not just passed away. Dr. GREEN was the only one who actually helped but it was too late. I wish I lived there I would of demanded a REAL hospital. DO not take your loved ones there if u want them to come home.

  • Heather Maguire

I had surgery yesterday but you a very rude and unprofessional employee in the post op department I think her name was Teresa.she was about 5'3 on the heavy side with short black hair and glasses. The problem was .I just start to come out of antistesa .and I heard her say to me wake up all you have been doing is sleeping and we need the room for other people. I have had problems with antistesa before and having problems waking up. You should not have anyone talk to patients like that.its sad to know this ok .I'm an employee here .and that's unexceptionable.on a positive note thank you to Joseph and Nicole

Here it is my mom is in the hospital up there and no one will return my calls I leave messages for nurses and doctors no call back so much for them caring what a line of bull if you put your loved one in the hospital don't do it there they are horrible . I would be down there if I was able but then they probably wouldn't let me see here anyways . They don't deserve a one star that's for sure . I am gonna start Making phone calls and reporting them it just makes me so sick to know they treat there patience family members like they are not important my mom will never go there again .

Unfortunately, had to show up twice in 24 hours Both visits were a nightmare, thankfully almost nobody goes to this location. Bad luck here. Always was hoping now that they rebuilt the place it would be better it’s new young people working and it is slightly better than it used to be but still my worst hospital experience my location there is no other location that I’ve had worse experiences, and apparently when they rebuilt, they didn’t properly install plumbing in the shower and stairs but the people the staff were diplomatically friendly, even if I felt like I was being tortured

  • Armand Martinez

Emergency room: I just witnessed the most disgusting thing. The parking lot is absolutely filled. There are no open spots to park at the emergency room. Many people had to park along a fence. A police officer came in and talked to security. Security says, in English only, that anyone parked there is going to get a ticket. Never mind that there are people here who don't speak English. And of course, he didn't relay the message to anyone who spoke Spanish so they could translate. Hard not to see that as racist. There are no clear signs as to where overflow parking is.

I came to valleywise for a chemical burn and the majority of the staff were awesome! They were courteous, friendly, impeccable bedside manners! I wish Nurses StAcy, Armada, Paul, Monique, Tiffany and, Maria and charge nurse Ms Kathy could get raises! Also, Anna,in the cafeteria, thank you for making sure I had food!. I will recommend Valleywise on 24 th and Roosevelt! Even The women st the guest services desk are excellent Er nurse Bailey, you are an great asset to this hospital. Without your compassion, I would have left! Thank you again.

  • Anthony James

This place is terrible . You can tell most staff are just there for a check. The way my wife and I were spoken to by an elderly red head with a Karen haircut or bowl cut last night in the ER waiting room and how she had a laugh with security at my wife begging me to come back to an actual room NOT HALLWAY, AFTER the doctor said it was OKAY, is ABSOLUTELY unacceptable. Infuriated is putting it politely. However there was a younger gentleman who stepped in and did a MUCH better job with speaking to people and directing traffic .

  • Marle Rocha

This is the worst place... I have to try two times with my niece because she have a gallbladder stones and she have a pain and fever and they send her home because they says she was fine and she need to come back when the pain is worse!!! when I try to talk to them a nurse (Ivan V) was really rude and he says "you need to wait till last minute" what was the last minute??? Wait for her die That's stupid answers..... this people don't have kindness to work in this place!! Or any other place.....

  • Valerie Schweda

I was transferred here as an ER patient to receive an MRI. I get here and they almost turn me away because they can't find my information sent to them from another hospital. After a few minutes, they finally received me. Then instead of sending me directly to MRI which was instructed by the previous hospital, they submitted me through all the same testing already completed. Needless to say, it's been 5 wasted hours and I am still waiting to get my MRI ordered. Serious lack of confidence in this staff. Go elsewhere!

You're better off committing suicide than being treated here. I'd rather go to a VA hospital than here. Also, don't leave children or handicapped people unattended, I just saw where they tossed a quadrapalegic man on the ground in an ant bed, then lied about it. I hope yall are sued and close down. The fire department captain said this isn't the first time the hospital has done this. Don't fire the security officers as scapegoats either. This is something your top administration needs to be held accountable for.

  • Jasmine Yancy

Honestly I'm not happy with this hospital. Most of the nurses is nice but there is a nurse that draw your blood and put an I.v. and she is slow and mean. She skip over me twice and never ask if anyone was okay. She speaks more Spanish or something than English She has blond hair and wear it in a ponytail. She is horrible. I understand the staff is tired that's why I didn't even bother yelling but nothing is order and everyone is everywhere. All the doctors thumbs up. The nurses need more work with people.

  • michael chicoine

Dr Pool was very kind to my friend. After 5 months and a 700 dollar estimate from her dentist, she lost hope and thought she'd have to remain in pain. Little did we know the dentist on staff was Dr Pool, a dentist with over 30 years experience who would have her wisdom tooth out in just under a minute! She was treated with kindness and the utmost care. And the best part: she had low income state insurance. This place is a godsend. We are so very greatful. Thank you valleywise health <3

  • Jose Pro

I work here in nutrition and honestly I never know what to expect from the supervisor to the co workers if I didn’t need the money I would leave this job one day they hate u the next minute they love u like we are all here to work some of us have kids and need to work while u guys are just making it a nightmare to just wanna go everyday!! But nothing will ever be done bcus from managers to supervisors they have their favorites and who they love to pick on it’s just sad. Literally

  • DenverBred

Pretty sad I have a oncurring health condition that's causing me to slowly go blind doctors don't want to find the root of the problem just prescribe me steroids. Had to go to emergency room today for same issue sat there for 2 and a half hours to see someone. Instead they hand me discharge papers as well as a script for the pharmacy. Funny thing is on my discharge paper it says I was given medication during my er visit which is a damn lie. They do not care about patients at all.

  • David Martinez

I was heading down to neurosurgery and the doctor had noticed that I know about doesn't like talking to me. He was the worst doctor I met at valleywise. I supposed to meet Melissa MD which doctor Flex call me she was an intern so he was talking to me about my spine lumbar. He was the first doctor that I have talked to a year back and I met him again. He didn't want me back he discharged me doesn't want to see me there again with his bad attitude the way he said it.

  • jessica colston

Had an appointment for a c-section at 8am. We arrived at 7:50. Placed in a room and waited. I didn’t deliver until 4:10pm because they had “ emergencies” which ment my surgery was pushed back. I understand a couple hours but 8?! I had been fasting for 8 hours before I got there added on another 8 without even water. Rooms are sharing rooms no sleep at all. Noise all night. Not a good experience for me and my bf who had to keep driving back to Mesa to shower.

  • Lessly Gomez

Honestly I do not recommend this hospital at all. Would give a 0 if I could. A family member was recently admitted here and nurses there were so ignorant. Racism was also present. Patients next us were constantly being checked on coming when called for but for us I had clicked the call button multiple times not once did a single nurse come and check on us. Nurses WILL ignore you. Hospital aswell really dirty like if they never clean. Do not come here!!

  • Dee Irving

If i could i would give no stars worst hospital I have ever been too its was filthy I went there because I had a major headache and I had a major back pain anyways I never experienced the dirtiest Hospital in the world too many people on drugs inside of that hospital either coming down from they need to learn to clean the hospital and bathrooms all hospitalsshould stay clean and sanitized my father went with me and he felt like he was in a prison

  • Sam P

I have to say when they transferred me here from Yuma, I read the reviews and was a bit nervous! Even when I arrived at my room and saw how old this part of the building was. But! The staff was AMAZING,!! I can’t say enough good things about the care I received! From the housekeepers to the Doctor! And all the nurse’s and staff in between! As busy as they were they took the time to be cheerful and sweet! I couldn’t have asked for better care.

  • Brittany Bridschge

Absolutely awful experience. There was a nurse checking vitals yesterday and she was just so incredibly mean. Yelling at people and children. It was terrible. Also, there was NO privacy. Drs and nurses came to the waiting room to assess. While everyone else around could hear. The dr I saw showed little compassion. The waiting room was dirty and not a lot of room. I will NEVER go back. There are far better ER’s.

  • Paderez Paderez

ER doctors and ER nurses are bad ! They tried to make a way to accuse anyone of their illness , example a patient do not remember if he or she had a HIV test in the past. ER DR and ER nurses will hear your answer if you say no. They will ask question ⁉️ why not ? They can make him feel down or her down. I would recommend that do not go there. They are cruel people inside ER.

  • Username Innit

Tammy Gabel, nurse manager is beyond incompetent. She pushes ratios beyond safe staffing then states that nurses are not allowed to refuse an assignment, which is not true, and in the same email states call light response times need to improve. How obtuse do you have to be to ask nurses to do more work and also ask them to answer call lights more quickly? What a poor excuse for leadership.

  • KK Willis

I had to come here twice for inflamed tonsils. The first time was okay my guy doctor got me in and out but this review is for Dr. Amanda. I recently came back like 2 days ago and she was very professional & personable. She’s one of my favorite doctors here. Since I’ve been home everything appears to be healing up. I appreciate you Dr. Amanda S for taking care of me and helping me out.

  • Alicia Hearod

The wait was very long the day I went but the doctors were still coming to the waiting area and treating patients. I can't believe how busy it was but I feel the staff did the best they could with what they had to work with. It was a bit uncomfortable having to tell your personal business out loud around tons of strangers. They did help me with my situation so I am thankful for that.

  • Tina Juarez

Communication between nurses/dr’s/patients is horrible. Constantly being misinformed. Their frustration with having to “constantly communicate” between family members is unprofessional. Don’t come to this hospital expecting good treatment. We appreciate their minimal efforts for the very basics. However, we are disappointed- they’ve treated us like burdens during our toughest times.

  • Angela Lamonde

Our experience was less than we were prepared for. Lack of communication is dangerous people. I gave 2 stars because we had 1 great nurse. Lance. Otherwise we had no information about the condition of the patient, and they moved him to a nursing facility without telling me the mother where they were taking my son. Which they promised to do, you guys can do better. But wont

  • Kevin Bitsue (PHX KEV)

Switchboard people are not very helpful nor is the staff which answers the phone calls. This hospital got real shady after they switched from Maricopa integrated medical center. The doctors don't listen to you but are quick to push their propaganda on you. If you have ahcccs be prepared to receive the minimal amount of the service which is really to be provided.

  • Roberto S

Expect to come in two hours before your appointment just to find parking there’s absolutely no parking here, place is filthy. I don’t understand how this hasn’t been shut down by the health department. If your appointment is for 2 o’clock, expect not to be seen until 4 . If my doctor recommend this place again, I will find a new doctor. This is ridiculous.

  • Marty Gallardo

You guys need to train your staff to treat patients with care and dignity not just throw them out like dogs nurses don't do their jobs they're rude and don't check up on patients stop with the patients are our concer cause if they were you wouldn't have so many complaints step up and do something actions speak louder than words I would give 0 stars

  • Tehmina Chaudary

The staff here do not care about the patients at all. They will dump you in the grass if you can't walk to leave, and take the wheel chair back with them. They claim they have great quality care but if dumping people in the grass and letting them get eaten up by ants is "quality care" then this hospital needs to shut down. Shameful.

  • Christopher Arizola

Horrible staff an everything else that could be wrong with a health department. Smh I'm very disappointed in the health workers, they literally sit their an laugh under their breath about patients in agony an discomfort. Very unprofessional health center, please take your loved ones to Banner Health in Avondale …

  • Sarah Forbes

Labor and delivery doctors and nurses are great. Shared rooms ,restrooms and showers are horrible. people are loud and inconsiderate. Should have visitor hours limited so people can actually rest after birth instead of listening to people constantly coming in and out of room at all hours of night. Would not recommend.

  • nancy bethancourt

The emergency room need new and improve there workers these people are the worst workers I have ever encountered all the staff looks like they are lost and don’t know what they’re doing. The waiting room is the worst I wouldn’t come to this place they will just let you die before anyone can get to you .

  • Nicole Pegg

I had some very hot oil spill on my arm at work. These nurses and Doctors put me on the right track to healing. Kind, clean, and able to connect with their patients! Thank you for making me feel secure in the treatment I received. I will be referring all cooks to your burn unit! Thanks again staff …

  • koni ; )

God forbid that ever again have to go to an emergency room again, but if I do, I’d like to be under the care of Dr. Joshua R. Rayburn. Valleywise hospital is blessed to have such a compassionate young man with a wonderful bedside manner in their ER. I just wanted to reach out and say, thank you.

  • Ann Mainzer

The quality of care has definitely gone down. I was in the emergency room last month because of a fall. I had x-ray done on my knee and I was never given the results and discharged without talking to the doctor, or asked if the medication helped the pain. Worse emergency room!

  • Michele Barranda

The doctors were great: Dr. Jack Palmer and Dr. Kelby Schaeffler . the xray tech was outstanding and kind. Medical Records had reports sent very quickly to my doctor in Indiana. However it has been over two weeks and my health insurance has not' been filed. Very tragic.

  • Tonka truck

Doctors with no training, security guards using force against patients with disabilities, the hospital is money driven, not health driven. You are just as good off if you went to an auto shop for a broken leg than if you went here

  • Jesus Gardea

I been here since 3 pm and they still haven’t gave no medicine or the doctors only came once I wish they had better staff I’m still in pain as I’m putting this up I’ll be here about 12 am before they will say there nothing wrong

  • Courtney Smith

Wayfinding signage is unclear. Parking is a disaster. And, the construction doesn't help the situation. It's a big campus, so good luck if you decide to just park & take a chance on 1 of the entrances.

  • Chris Myers

Well I'm still at the hospital while I'm posting this because they are horrible here. I'm in for a DVT and am still waiting after an hr and a half. Also am sitting in a chair that long. Horrible man.

  • Danya Lopez

You guys are really bad people my mom was there and a Chinese woman said rude things and the food was disgusting and had stuff in it and my mom is so skinny now you are all bad I’m sueing this place

  • Alba López

I had my baby in this Hospital and I give thanks to the nurses Leigh, Steve, Jennifer, and Rebeca for taking care of me and my baby. Thank you for helping me you guys the best, God bless you all.

  • Paul Edises

Do you make a habit of dumping quadriplegic patients on the sidewalk? Do the ants that covered and bit him provide some kind of therapy? Did the wheelchair just disappear? Asking for a friend.

  • Jennifer Martinez

The worst Hospital experience ever. Nobody checks up on you, you call for help and nobody comes. You could be dying and everyone just walks by. Everyone was so unprofessional and no helpful.

  • D Harris

Hospital is a dump who literally dumps vulnerable patients in parks; hope the state and the feds fine them to the maximum for violating EMTALA and shut them down if need be; dirtbags

  • Christy Olloh

Amazing experience with the care given to my baby and I. The doctors, residents, and staffs from Labor & Delivery, Mother & Baby Unit were so wonderful. I highly recommend them.

  • Rachal Doolin

Dumping a helpless quadriplegic patient in the park across from them so that ants could swarm and bite him. Also lying and trying to cover up their guilt about the incident.

  • Hector Guzman

My wife delivered all three of our children here. They are amazing, they’re also very good with kids. They have great and caring nurses. I really recommend this hospital.

  • Chelsea Morrow

Arizonas WORST HOSPITAL If you actually value your life or the life of a loved one. Don't bring them here. The staff will miss treat them and then send them home to die!

  • Tina Waldner

Liars regarding that paraplegic man you literally dumped at a park. Disgusting and all involved should be fired ASAP! Made it to Colorado pathetic “hospital”.

  • Briseida Sarahi Lopez

I had a emergency for a dentist and they help me out with it ,the doctor was fast in 10 min it was out ,I spend an hour waiting and didn’t feel like it …

  • kaleena Mitchell

This place needs to be sued and shut down! And for the employees/security partaking in the nonsense that is delivered here….. man oh man god don’t like ugly!

  • mari carrillo

I had 2 c sections here . Horrible experience both times ! Some of the nurses are really nice but the rest are rude ! The ER waiting room is always filthy .

  • Kat Smith

Your the worst hospital out here Telling some they are being released and then another dr says he's getting a court order against this person go to he'll

  • Karina Murillo

they clearly don't know what they are doing nor saying telling me i have autism, I have ADHD. I will go to the police this is a serious offense.

  • Connor 1

I was burned on 25% of my body. Some of the staff and nurses there have become family. This hospital has the best burn unit in the country.

  • k p

Needs more employees! The longest waiting time I ve ever seen for ER.bad experience and definitely gonna change my health insurance

  • K lapier

Update. Changed my review to 4 stars thank's to Hellen and all the Mesa , AZ staff at Valley Sleep therapy. Good job!

  • Braylon King-randall

Dumping patients on the ground is disgusting....can't wait for this hospital to get shut down after the lawsuit SMDH

  • Dolores Chavez

I've always had a good experience with the doctor's nurses. I've never had a problem. They are so great over there.

  • Let's Try This

This place is so bad that it needs to be investigated. Please people don't take your love ones there.
